  Chapter 1

Tasmos held Alisha tightly to him as he soared higher into the sky. Her laughter as he spun them through the air warmed his heart. He found the perfect spot for them and carefully he landed and let her down. The nighttime sky was beautiful and the scent of jasmine was heavy in the air.

“My favorite flower.” Alisha smiled at him as she lightly took the delicate flower bud into her hand.

“Come here,” he playfully growled as he pulled her into his arms. “I love you,” he whispered softly against her lips.

  “How much?”

  “More than anything else.”

“Good, because I feel the same for you.” She pulled him closer and got up on her tiptoes. “Tasmos…” she purred, kissing him deeply.

She pulled away and took him by the arm over towards the lush meadow. He adored that look on her face when she was aroused. Damn did he love this woman. He blessed the day the Creator made her a guardian angel.

“What are you thinking about?” she said, pulling him down to the ground next to her.

“You.” He gently laid her on the ground. “Forever…” he said, lightly brushing her hair from her face.

  “Forever?”

  “I will love you forever.”

“Tasmos…and I will love you forever.” She smiled as tears of joy rose up in her eyes.

“Here.” He removed the silver necklace from his neck and put it on her. “Prolo gave me this as a gift, a symbol of the Archangel.”

“Tasmos this is special to you.” She gently ran her fingers over the silver wings of the pendent.

“I want you to wear it to let all others know you are mine.”

“Then I shall wear it forever.” She reached up and pulled him down to her, she wanted his kiss. Hungrily they tore at each other’s clothes, wanting to become one as quickly as possible.

“My Alisha…” Tasmos sighed as his cock slowly entered her. Gently and unhurriedly they made love all night in that meadow.

“Don’t chicken out on me now,” Kali said, putting her clothes back on.

“But what you ask of me…” Kannon sat up in the bed.

“What I ask of you is a simple task.” Kali smiled at him as she crawled back into the bed. “After all, how hard is it to kill a guardian angel?”

“What if I ask you to kill one of your kind?”

“I would do it in a heartbeat if it made you happy,” Kali purred.

“Alright I will do it, but if Prolo finds out…”

“Oh tell him I killed the bitch.” Kali climbed on his lap. “I have some work to do. When you have killed the angel come find me.”

Alisha watched the little boy playing along the beach. Prolo had assigned this particular soul for her to watch over. Alisha still beamed from her evening with Tasmos. Her fingers caressed the wings of his pendant she wore around her neck. Tasmos was one of the Generals of Prolo’s Archangels; Alisha was surprised when she caught his attention.

Oh Tasmos was beautiful; he was tall, well toned and that handsome face of his. Alisha felt the shivers of arousal race through her. She could still see his emerald green eyes gazing down at her; feel the softness of his dark hair running through her fingers.

  “Ahhh!!”

Alisha quickly snapped out of her dream of Tasmos when she heard the screams of the child. She scanned everywhere and couldn’t see what had frightened him. But she felt his fear. She hurried over towards the child. His eyes were locked skyward. She followed his gaze.

“Kannon…” She was puzzled by his appearance. “Has something happened?” She gathered the child up into her arms and sang the song of slumber, quickly putting the child to sleep. Something terrible must have happened, why else would Prolo send down one of his Archangels.

“Where is Tasmos?” Kannon slowly descended down toward her.

  “Prolo summoned him.”

  “Then you are alone.”

“Yes… what is wrong? Is this child in danger?”

“No, the child isn’t in danger.”

Alisha breathed out a sigh of relief and sat the small boy down. Kannon looked down into the sleeping face of the child. “Tell me, how far would you go to save this child?”

“He is mine to protect…I would give my all, why?”

“And if you were to choose, your life or his, which would it be?”

  “Mine of course.”

“Good…then choose Alisha.” Kannon scooped the child up into his arm and placed a silver dagger to the child’s neck.

“What are you doing?” Alisha reached for the boy.

  “Choose.”

“Kannon what is wrong with you?”

“Choose damn it.” He placed the dagger right against the child’s neck harder.

  “Take my life.”

Kannon gently sat the child down in the sand and in one fluid movement he embedded his dagger into Alisha’s heart. “Forgive me…” he whispered as he lowered her down onto the sand next to the child.

“There you damn demon it is done.” Kannon rose up to his knees. “It’s done…” He cursed himself for loving Kali, cursed the day he met her. He slowly stood up and looked once more at the beautiful angel lying lifeless on the ground, her crimson blood staining the sand, her silver hair fanned out around her. He let out his breath then took to the sky to find Kali.

Tasmos breath caught as a feeling of dread filled him. “What is wrong?” Prolo asked, never had he seen such a stricken look on Tasmos’ face.

“Prolo, I beg that you let me take my leave.”

“Very well, but return as soon as you are finished with whatever you need to do.”

“Thank you Prolo.” Tasmos quickly took to the sky. He tried to lock in on where Alisha was. Something was wrong he could feel it. He tried to remember where she said she was going to be today.

He searched for hours becoming more alarmed when he still couldn’t feel her presence. “Prolo where is Alisha?” Tasmos didn’t like to ask his Master for help, afraid it would show weakness to him.

“She should be with the soul I sent her to guard.”

Quadrants popped into Tasmos’ mind. “Thank you Master.” Tasmos flew as fast as he could to find her. He landed on the beach, his heart stopped as he fell to his knees. He couldn’t will himself to move upon seeing Alisha and the child lying on the beach. If he didn’t go any closer then…then it wasn’t real. Slowly he rose back up to his feet; the tears were choking him as he moved closer. “Alisha…” his voice broke as he spoke. The silence tore at him. “No Alisha, you can’t be dead.” He gazed down at her. He fell to his knees and scooped her lifeless body up. He grabbed the dagger that was still embedded in her heart. Anger and sadness combined causing his body to shake. The dagger…he knew this dagger. He threw the dagger aside and held Alisha as tightly as he could against him. His wails of agony rang out as he could no longer contain his sadness.

He gently laid her back down and removed his necklace from her. He held it tightly in hi
s fist as he grabbed the dagger with his other hand. He positioned it over his heart. His despair so great he didn’t know if he could exist without her.

  “No Tasmos.”

Tasmos felt someone’s hand on his pulling the dagger away. “Leave me be,” Tasmos growled until he looked up and saw Prolo. “Forgive me Master.”

“I will not let you take your life, it is forbidden.”

“Then allow me to hunt the Archangel who murdered my beloved Alisha.”

“No, it is forbidden for an Archangel to kill another Archangel.”

  “I want vengeance!” Tasmos yelled.

“I will not allow this Tasmos. Now come back to Heaven and grieve your woman.”

“Does Alisha’s death mean nothing to you?”

“I am sadden by the loss of one of my angels.” Prolo closed his eyes and within seconds Alisha’s body disappeared. “The Creator will reborn her soul, Tasmos.”

  “As what?”

“That is for the Creator to decide.”

  “But this might take centuries.”

“Perhaps.” Prolo looked down at the child as he began to stir.

Before Tasmos could speak another word he found himself back within the bounds of Heaven. “You will not leave your quarters, Tasmos,” Prolo commanded. Tasmos was powerless to find Alisha’s killer. He would wait for now. What else could he do with Prolo watching so closely? He opened his fist and gazed down at the silver wings of his pendant. He forced himself to go numb otherwise the pain of losing her would be too much to bear.

  Chapter 2

“We have to go Ryo. You know those soldiers are heading straight into Kali’s trap.” Gabriele strapped her shotgun to her back and made sure she had her pistol and dagger.

  “What of Ayden?”

“Damn it. How many more people must die playing that damn demon’s game?” Gabriele looked to Ryo. He was a beautiful man, long black hair, trim stealthy body. His face had a mixture of oriental and caucasian features, giving him a feminine yet still masculine look. She still didn’t understand why he preferred his sword to a gun, but who was she to question his preference. Since Michael was no longer a demon hunter, Ryo had assumed the role as leader. Gabriele was happy for Michael, he had found his soul mate and she had to admit she really did like Miranda.

“I will go with her Ryo,” Saban, the newest demon hunter offered up.

“It will be good for Saban to get out there and start fighting,” Gabriele added. Saban was trained to take Michael’s place. He was as big as Michael was, rather cute and had the thickest dark hair Gabriele had ever noticed on a man. However where Michael was rather broody, Saban was quite open and friendly. He was also very good with the sword and a gun.

“Okay go, I will watch Ayden.” Ryo wasn’t happy about sending those two but he couldn’t just let those soldiers get killed either.

“Oh no don’t pout, you look like a cute little puppy when you do.” Gabriele playfully teased Ryo. “Come on Saban let’s go kick that bitch’s ass.”

“Sir, the hostage is in that building,” the young soldier said, handing the binoculars over to Ryker.

“Okay let’s make this quick.” Ryker gathered up his weapons. Something about this mission seemed wrong. They were ordered away from their last mission to save the woman who was being held hostage. Apparently some high ranking commander’s wife, daughter or mistress, there were no specifics about this mission given, the only thing that was said that it was of utmost importance.

Ryker signaled for two of his men to go inside from the back, two more to the side, and he and the young private would go directly through the front. He wanted the rookie to stay by him. Ryker had done this type of search and rescue mission before, but still something didn’t feel right.

Slowly the two crept into the warehouse; it had been long since abandoned by its former owner. Ryker’s eyes scanned everywhere, his ears opened to every sound. Slowly, painfully slowly, they moved forward. Ryker had his gun firmly in his hands, his finger positioned on the trigger. Damn, something was wrong here. Fear for his other men hastened his steps. He signaled for the young man to stay where he was as he headed up the stairs. But before he was even halfway up the stairs a blood curdling scream filled the warehouse.

  “What?!”

Ryker could see the look of fear on the young man’s face. “Let’s move it.” Both men hurried toward the screaming. Ryker prepared himself mentally for anything, his finger readied on the trigger as he entered the main part of the warehouse.

“Oh my God,” the young soldier said as he turned to throw up.

“Ready yourself,” Ryker barked at him. They couldn’t be distracted by the carnage in front of them. What Ryker could make out he had at least two more men in here somewhere, though it was hard to tell just by the body parts that were strung out around the room.

“What the hell could have done that?!” The young man was on the verge of hysteria.

“Remember your training.” Ryker couldn’t afford to baby him.

“Training, training!! We didn’t train on what to do when you find your fellow soldiers torn to bits, then hung up like laundry drying.”

Ryker turned around and punched the young man in the gut. “Shut up.”

“Well, well, two more big strong army men to play with. And here I thought playing with Special Forces men would be challenging.”

“A woman,” Ryker whispered. “Show yourself.”

“Yeah right and you will shoot my ass. But here, catch.”

Ryker backed up away from the object then looked down to see what it was. “John,” he quietly said, looking at the head of his comrade. The younger soldier just stood there frozen in place.

“Allen, snap the fuck out of it,” Ryker barked.

“I like you baby,” Kali purred. “Show that puppy how to hunt.” Her laughter echoed.

“There is no fucking way a woman did this shit.” Allen’s voice shook, then he started shooting at everything in the area.

“Calm down puppy.” Kali grabbed Allen by the head and in one quick movement, snapped his neck. “Well it looks like just me and you baby.”

Ryker quickly fired his rifle then watched as Kali leapt high in the air up to the rafters. “What the hell?”

“Hell is right, sweetie.” Kali jumped from rafter to rafter as Ryker shot at her. “Persistent aren’t you, oh I think I will have you first before I kill you.”

“I don’t know what the hell you are bitch, but you are going to die for what you did to my men.” Ryker followed every movement Kali made aiming his weapon carefully for each shot.

“Eventually you will run out of ammo snooky, then what?”

“Get down here,” he growled, firing off the last two rounds of his rifle. Before he could reach for his pistol, Kali tackled him to the ground.

“Oh…aren’t you a strong one.” She straddled his waist and held his arms to the ground.

“How can you be so strong?” Ryker tried to break her hold on him.

“Well, sweetie, being a demon does have its little advantages,” she hissed as she grinded herself against his hard body. “Yeah…I want to fuck you first.”

“Back off bitch,” a woman’s voice said.

Kali hissed then leapt into the air. Ryker quickly came to his feet. He reached back for his pistol and aimed it at Gabriele. “Who the hell are you?”

“The person who just saved your ass, pal.” Gabriele lifted her shotgun and fired at Kali.

“Damn demon hunters, just when I was getting to the good part. Tell me huntress, where is your pretty leader?”

“Come down here and fight like a woman.”

Kali hissed when one of Ryker’s bullets hit her in the leg. “Damn.” She leapt up towards the roof then headed out of the warehouse.

  Ryker quickly ran after her.

“Are you stupid?” Gabriele asked him as she pushed him back into the warehouse.

  “Listen lady, I thank you
for getting that bitch off me, but whatever she was, she killed my men and I can’t just let her leave.”

“Oh okay, go get yourself killed Mr. Macho. Besides you won’t catch up with her now.”

  “What the hell was that?”

  “A General of Hell.”

“Oh, of course, why didn’t I guess that one, are you freaking nuts?” Ryker lifted his pistol back up and aimed it at Gabriele.

“That’s a fine how do you do. I save his butt Saban and now he wants to kill me.”

Ryker quickly turned to his left and looked up at Saban. Ryker wasn’t a small man, he stood six foot two, hell this guy had to be at least six four.

  “Drop the gun,” Saban said.

“Oh no, who are you people?”

Gabriele just looked at the brave man before her. He was tall, well muscled and rather handsome. His short brown hair was the same color as his eyes. “Well we are demon hunters.”

  “Of course you are.”

“Gabriele what should we do with him?” Saban rushed at Ryker and disarmed him.

“Let me go.” Ryker fought hard to break Saban’s grip on him but he couldn’t. Ryker was a strong man and yet this man held him easily.

“You are going to hunt Kali aren’t you?” Gabriele asked.

“You mean that crazy bitch, of course I am.”

“Saban knock his ass out, we will have to ask Asurul what to do.”

  “Hey wait….”

Saban easily knocked Ryker out. He lifted him over his shoulder then followed Gabriele.

  Chapter 3

“You are hurt.” Kannon quickly tore his shirt and wrapped the torn piece around Kali’s thigh.

“That soldier got in a lucky shot.” She grimaced as he tightened the cloth.

  “Soldier?”

“Oh, I was just playing. Normal mortals are just too easy. I wanted a little bit of a challenge.”

  “Did you get one?”
