Kelly listened to his strong, steady heartbeat, and gradually began to relax against his chest. He was right, as usual. Yes, Jamie had been taken from her much too soon, but she regretted none of their time together. Even knowing the outcome, knowing the pain and desolation his death had brought, she still wouldn’t have changed her decision to marry him.

There were no guarantees that she and Will would both live to ripe old ages, either, but Kelly couldn’t let fear hold her back. She’d take whatever time the good Lord gave her with this man, and have no regrets. God would determine their forever, and Kelly would trust His will. And she would enjoy each and every day she had with the man who held her now, the one who would tomorrow be her husband.

“I love you so much, Will C,” she said softly. “Now and forever.”

He smiled. “Love you back, baby,” he murmured, kissing her softly. “Now let’s go drink a toast to tomorrow with our friends. Forever starts right now.”
