Cyrosphere 4: Gathering of Lives
Chapter One:
Ginger stood gaping at Mark Liam GrimJones. She can’t believe she kissed him. Yeah, he started it but she certainly didn’t resist. And who would? He was a tall, muscular super model, no not really; just so happened to resemble on.
She sighs and thinks, “What do I do now?”
He clears his throat, which snaps Ginger out of her head. The moment his gaze zeroed in on her, that intense sexual tension was back with vengeance. Ginger hadn’t realized her breath hitched, her pulse was racing, and she felt a bead of sweat break across her back.
Ginger thought, “Shit. I want him so bad. Mr. Hottie Mcbody was making my lady parts sing.”
She says, “I need to shower. Excuse me.”
Mark responds, “Can I join?”
Ginger stopped mid step and turned to face him. His dilated eyes heighten her need. She gets anger and states, “No. Calm down big boy.”
Mark grins and replies, “So you think I am big, sweetheart? I like when I am appreciated for my size.”
He smirks, Ginger swats his arm and he starts laughing because face it. The blow was like a tiny buy on his arm.
Aaron states, “What’s going on in here?”
She thinks, “Shit. Mark is too distracting that I didn’t realize Aaron was home.”
They turn their heads to Aaron holding bags of groceries.
Mark smiles and responds, “Just some friendly chatter. Can I help you put those away sir, while Ginger here runs upstairs to shower. This is important, and time is valuable.”
Aaron nods and answers, “Sure.”
He looks from Ginger back to Mark while setting bags on the kitchen isle.
Ginger thinks, “Aaron saved me from ….what? I can’t say. I was practical licking his hand.”
She shakes her head, as she climbs the steps.
Chapter Two:
About the time Ginger showered and changed, on her way downstairs she sensed Stacey was home and not alone. Malcolm Barnabus Silverdale, the man had once been her friend but now.
Ginger wondered, “What is he to me? A traitor! Someone who betrayed my trust and investigated my past. Can I forgive him?”
If her father Thein were here, he’d tell her that holding onto all that rage and anger would bury her. With that she sighed, walked into the giant kitchen. Faked a smile and sat down next to Stacey and far away from Mark and Malcolm.
Ginger asks, “What did you guys come up with?”
Mark smirked and says, “Just idle chatter while we waited for you. Nothing of substance into you got back.”
Ginger nodded and turned to Stacey, “What about on your side?”
Stacey looks calm and states, “Malcolm has been consulting with all the witches he knows and found an ancient locator spell to track Feltus.”
Malcolm chimes in, “Once I do the spell, we’ll use Cole to open a portal there. We need to be prepared because Spider had a vision, which is rare. He says Feltus has a army of Gorjedein demons.”
All around Ginger was stunned expressions and high levels of worry and anxiety. Their emotions was about to knock her out.
Ginger asked, “What’s the big deal?”
Mark says, “Well sweetheart. Gorjedein demons have magic powers and can control the shadows. It is like a jacked up version of you but times a lot.”
Stacey answers, “This means war. We need to notify the council and tell all the royals. They may be targets if he already has Abe.”
Aaron shakes his head and replies, “I’ll start calling COPS agents.”
Mark says, “I have to return to the queen.”
Malcolm states, “Spider already has the council notified. I’ll talk to the other queen.”
Ginger asks, “Other queen?”
Malcolm nods and answers, “The other witch queen, Shadey.”
Stacey jumps in, “I’ll tell the vampire lord.”
Aaron states, “You will do no such thing.”
Stacey asks, “Why not? It’s not like I haven’t already met him. No big deal. Make you calls.”
Aaron looks pissed as Ginger watches everyone on the go. She suppose time to visit Caleb, and see if Jensen can help.
Chapter Three:
Instead of going back to Lunar Sci Gomar, she had called Lucy to get Caleb to come to earth. Sure she still didn’t want to return to the planet since all the memories with Diego. Maybe someday, just not right now.
She watched patiently inside the Starbucks, he leg was jumping up and down. So much was going on that she couldn’t even drink a ounce of caffeine, but all this talk of war didn’t calm her. It amplified her anxiety and made her wondering, was she willing to sacrifice her life to kill Feltus. Absolutely if it meant no other family was left parent-less.
Life was about choices, and she was making hers’. Looking up to see the warm smile of Lucy Ramirez. She jumped up out of her seat and pulled her into a big embrace. The hug helped calm and alleviate all her tension. Every time she was near Guadalupe, Hannah, or Lucy. It was like all her problems dissolved in that moment.
Lucy says, “Missed you.”
Ginger grins and pulls back, “Ditto.”
Caleb asks, “Where’s mine?”
She looked up at a grinning Caleb, who freshly shaved and smelt like almonds and mango. Strong, but a pleasant scant. It suited him somehow. Ginger hugged him with as much earnest, before they sat down around the small table.
Caleb asks, “What’s up?”
Ginger sighs and responds, “You just dive in. No small talk, or how’s life? Well since you bluntly ask. War,”
Lucy gasps and answers, “With?”
Ginger replies, “Feltus Witchburn. He has a army of Gorjedein demons at his command.”
Caleb shakes his head and states, “No small talk when running a kingdom, and on a planet with possible enemies everywhere. I came as a curtsey to you, and we will give him war. I will start preparing my people. When? Do you know?”
Ginger says, “I don’t but we have a plan. We just want to have our own army if anything happens. Or, things don’t go according to plan.”
Caleb grins and replies, “You did learn from the best.”
Ginger smiles and answers, “Thanks to both of you.”
Lucy responds, “And Diego.”
All sit in silence for a moment. Ginger nods her head, as they talk some more before she gathers her messenger bad and leaves. Lucy promises to text and Ginger would kept them updated.
Chapter Four:
Ginger is driving her Toyota to san Francisco. No way was she not seeing if Jensen has some way to help in all this drama.
Seven hours later, she is sitting outside his house with no idea how to explain everything. Before Ginger could get out of the car, Jensen was in the passenger seat. He teleported inside with air and she almost scream if she wasn’t having her heart beat like a drum.
Jensen asks, “Why did you drive here? You could have used your powers.”
Ginger smiled and says, “I know. I love to drive. It helped clear my mind. We have a problem. War is on the horizon.”
Jensen wants to know, “With who?”
Ginger answers, “Feltus Witchburn.”
/> Jensen gasps and explains, “That’s impossible.”
Ginger asks, “Why?”
Jensen speaks, “I saw him die. I was at his funeral. I knew his mom.”
Ginger gasps, but knew from her empathy powers that he was telling the truth.
She says, “Well I need your help. You’re coming with me. Go pack a bag, and we leave in ten minutes.”
Ginger left no room for arguments, so he got out and jogged up the steps to his house. He would be packed and back in time.
She wondered, “Why have this big house out here all to yourself. He is hiding something. There is definitely more to the story.”
Chapter Five:
After Jensen grabbed his things, they were back in the car and on their way to Los Angeles. Well her house, just as the sun was setting. The quiet drive was not pleasant the first two hours, but Ginger hadn’t bought a audio system yet.
Ginger says, “How about a little Q & A?”
Jensen smirks and replies, “Sure why not.”
Ginger rolls her eyes and states, “What do you mean you saw him die? When?”
Jensen takes a moment to answer, “I use to be friends with his mom as I mentioned earlier.”
Ginger states, “You also eluded that you knew Spider. How?”
Jensen sighs and answers, “I know all the elders. I don’t come from this universe.”
Ginger gasps and asks, “Come again?”
Jensen responds, “Not only are there multiple worlds and planets, but universes. I come from one where I and two others were the only of our kind. I along with Viven Delrow and Parker Tilleman are from that universe. With out combined powers we were able to tap into a magical force that allowed us to cross into this universe. When we arrived over 2100 years ago. The only people like us was Malcolm Silverdale, Spider Grandhorn, and Agnus Griffin. We were the only six, over time we all made people like us. We also developed the planets together. It’s a long complicated story.”
Ginger says, “I bet.. Go on.”
Jensen sighs and replies, “Maybe some other time.”
Ginger nods and asks, “Who is Feltus’ mom?”
Jensen frowns but continues, “MaryAnne Kris was dating Malcolm. She also had only one son Feltus, who died in the war. The only war. That is also a painful story. One I do not wish to tell right now, but I carried his body myself. I watched him get buried. We were all at his funeral, but unlike Malcolm I remember.”
Ginger gasps and asks, “What do you mean?”
Jensen lets out a breath and says, “Agnus placed a memory spell around the time MaryAnne vanished and cursed Daniel before she did. She wanted to torture Shalice Kincaid. Back in the day, there was a lot of dating and mixing of partners. Hearts broken and let’s just say not everyone is happy to deal with the past.”
Ginger mimes in, “History repeating itself.”
Jensen nods and states, “Only if we don’t learn from our past.”
Ginger answers, “Too true.”
The rest of the drive gave her a lot to think about.
Chapter Six:
While letting Jensen dive, Ginger’s mind kept wondering over to Mark. The man was impossible to deal with, but hotter then sin. Hottie Mcbody was definitely preoccupying her mind.
One he is a stubborn jerk, check. He intrigues her, but is it his bad boy vibe. He has a decent heart, and loyalty which really struck her as datable. He was obnoxious and fascinated her to the point she wanted to peal back his layers.
Ginger thought, “That’s what it is.”
The man was a mystery she had to unravel. Three hours thinking about Mark and they had pulled up to the house. She piled out at 11:04 pm; better then last time, but not a million text messages or phone calls this time around.
Ginger let Jensen in and got to work introducing him to her new family. Aaron and the girls kept him company while she ran upstairs to write. Sonia Solis always said the best way to help a creative mind was to stay active or busy.
That is exactly what Ginger did, spent a quick ten minutes writing while she allowed her family to get to know Jensen without her. She was sure they had plenty of questions, because she still had some.
Back in the kitchen, everyone was sitting around drinking tea and not discussing war strategies.
Stacey says, “Daniel says that Penny is our key.”
Ginger asks, “Should we trust Mark?”
Aaron states, “And why shouldn’t we?”
All eyes turned to her, so she shrugs and lets the subject drop. Everybody turns back to Stacey.
Stacey goes on, “Natalie will be with us during the battle.”
Ginger smirks and asks, “She is 700 years old, but looks like a kid.”
Jensen explains, “That kid is as powerful as him. I’d take her help if she offering.”
Ginger nods.
Stacey goes on, “So Penny has one of the oldest blood-lines of magic in her. She can help us fight off Feltus.”
Aaron smiles and says, “That’s good news, now bedtime everyone.”
Everyone starts to get up, placing dishes in sink to head upstairs.
Aaron responds, “That means you too Jensen. You may be a elder, but in my house you follow my rules.”
Stacey grins and shows him to a guest bedroom.
Chapter Seven:
Alone in her room with the door closed, she felt as if someone was watching her every move. Things felt strange, the world felt like it was off somehow. How? Ginger couldn’t tell.
She wrote a little in her journal to distract her, and went to the bathroom to wash up for bed. Once back alone in her room, she felt lightheaded suddenly and stumbled towards her bed. The soft inviting silky sheets called to her and she pasted out as soon as her head hit the pillow.
Her mind pulled her into a dream in which she was sitting on her bed in her room, but she wasn’t alone. A tall handsome 6’0 man in swim wear was there as well. He had the face of a young guy, around mid twenties. Arms that were fit thanks to the tank he was wearing, and long lean legs hiding beneath his swim shorts. He had brown hair that went to shoulder length and kind hazel eyes.
The guy spoke, “Hello Ginger Solis. The chosen one, I am honored to meet you. My name is Oscar Guillermo Whitelock. I have traveled twenty years from the future to change the course of history. Read my mind to verify if you do not believe me.”
Ginger stunned a moment asked, “Who sent you?”
Oscar responds, “You did. I am on the new council, the Rising Miracles league. You are the captain and a great inspiration to many. You made peace possible and I am one of the last timetravelers left, not many left that posse our ability to jump through worm-holes in time. I have learned so much from you at Hellhilton Academy. You helped train me and I trust you with my life, so you sent me.”
Ginger gasps and asks, “Florida? I don’t think so.”
Oscar laughs and says, “The future may change with this visit. The car can not be avoided but I was told by a powerful indigo Mark GrimJones that my presence here can help make a brighter future. And lastly not to worry about my life, once I left my own time zone that parallel world cease to exist so my death in your present day never happens. Don’t ask me to explain time-travel and all the multi-verses out there. It gives me a headache and I am not verse in quantum physics.”
Ginger laughs and says, “So this war when does it happen?”
Oscar sighs and states, “Tomorrow. It all changes tomorrow. No one can know about me into after the battle begins. I am cloaked to all but timetravelers thanks to a powerful spell from Penny Belkins.”
Ginger nods and says, “So I am not dreaming?”
Oscar huffs and answers, “Sort of, in a way. You are sleeping, but the spell allows our minds to link only temporarily while you sleep and like I said you won’t be able to see me after this. I am proud to carry out this mission for you. Now goodnight.”
And like that the dream ended. Ginger woke up, but the strange sensation from earlier w
as gone and she couldn’t detect anybody with her mind like before.
Ginger thinks, “At least I know Penny and Mark make it out alive. Oh, and myself that is reassuring to know.”
She sighs and allows her mind to relax while drifting off to sleep.
Chapter Eight:
While she went through her morning routine, Ginger was finishing cleaning up the kitchen when Mark came up besides her while she was whipping down the counter.
Ginger looked up and says, “Hi, Mark. I want to apologize for all the drama yesterday.”
Mark stunned, smiles and nods his heads. He responds, “No problem. You’re in a good mood.”
Ginger responds, “I have a reason; classes and an amazing dream last night!”
Mark grins and states, “About me I hope.”
Ginger huffs and replies, “Why not got to start.”
Mark smirks wider and answers, “Stop acting like you don’t like me. Go be brainy. Oh, and by the way I do hope you dream about me because I dream of you.”
Ginger was left breathless, as he leaves the kitchen in search of Aaron.
