  Dominic pulled out of her and he held onto her while she lowered her wobbly legs to the shower floor. He wrapped his arms around her enveloped her a tight embrace. “Vic that was amazing,” he whispered. He turned off the water and helped her out of the shower as they both wrapped their bodies in plush ropes. Dominic grabbed a couple of towels and began to dry Victoria’s hair. Later as they both laid in bed, Dominic pulled Victoria close to him, neither able to sleep.

  Victoria was the first to speak. “This has been an amazing trip so far, I'm going to be really sad when it ends.”

  “Victoria you are an amazing lover, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”

  She didn’t respond initially. “I guess when you have a string of failed relationships you begin to think maybe it’s you,” she said thinking about her last relationship.

  “What happened with your last relationship?” Dominic asked.

  She began to explain how her last boyfriend cheated on her. After leaving him, she threw herself into growing her company.

  “It’s amazing how fast time goes by and a major life change forces you to slow down and take stock of what’s important, like family,” she reflected.

  They both learned that the reason neither were currently in a relationship was because they both were so engrossed in their businesses that they may have neglected their private lives. After talking for the next hour, they eventually drifted off to sleep.

  The morning rays filled the bedroom with light. Victoria turned to find that she was in the bed alone. As she moved to get out of bed, her aching body was a reminder of last night’s activities. She smiled as she decided to do her yoga routine to stretch her muscles; if the next week and a half was going to play out like it had the last couple of days she was going to do her yoga routine to keep her body limber. She put on her exercising outfit, grabbed her mat and IPod and headed to the beach. She did not see Dominic and figured he was out on his morning run.

  Dominic returned from his run to see Victoria on the beach working out. He could not believe how much this woman was affecting him. He did not anticipate the strong connection he was developing along with feelings for her. He took this opportunity to take a shower and check his emails. As he walked out of the bedroom and into the kitchen he could he hear the shower running in the other bathroom. His thoughts instantly went to the shower they shared together. He quickly grabbed his coffee and computer; he need to think of something other than making love to Victoria.

  As the water from showerheads massaged her body Victoria could feel a faint stinging sensation as the water hit her back. Her thoughts traveled back to the day before, when her back slapped continuously against the shower wall as Dominic pounded her until she came so hard she was unable to hold her own body weight.   Dominic sat at the breakfast counter with coffee and a muffin when Victoria walked in dressed in a tank top and matching linen shorts. He didn’t need to turn around to know she had entered the room. He could smell the beautiful floral fragrance that he was growing accustom to and would miss when this vacation was over. “Good morning” she said as she padded across the kitchen floor barefoot. She grabbed a mug from the cabinet and began to pour herself a cup of coffee. Dominic looked up from his computer to watch her as she moved about the kitchen.

  “Good morning beautiful, I saw you working out on the beach, you could have joined me in the shower,” he smiled before continuing, “You know… to conserve water.”

  She looked at him and could see the mischief in his eyes. “My back is still trying to recover from our conservation efforts last night,” she said smiling into her coffee mug. “I see you already started your one hour of work time.”

  “I’m about fifteen minutes into my hour. I don’t see how I can get through all of these emails, there is too much going on.”

  “Well, you only have an hour, that was our agreement. You are not only here for me, but you also deserve a vacation, so we have to stick to our plan, one hour of business a day and that’s it,” she said sternly as she sat beside him turned on her computer and started to respond to her emails. He looked at her and smiled, he loved a strong woman. They sat there in silence for the next hour; the only sound that could be heard was the clicking of computer keys.

  Dominic stretched his arms “That’s it, one hour now let’s do something fun,” He said as he closed his computer.

  “What did you have in mind?”

  “Can you swim?”

  “Yes, Why?”

  “I have something planned for us this afternoon, do you trust me?”

  She looked into his eyes as they danced with playfulness. “Okay, what the hell, I’m in.”

  “Great go change and I will meet you at the car”

  “Wait, meet you at the car? Where are we going?”

  “You will see, get changed,” he said as he smacked her on her ass. He didn’t know what prompted him to do that but he felt comfortable around her, the type of comfort that comes with knowing someone for years instead of a few weeks.

  CHAPTER NINE

  They drove a short distance to a pier where there were a few yachts lined up. There was a gentleman standing by a particularly large yacht waving them over.

  “Mr. Moretti?” Dominic nodded. “Right this way sir everything has been prepared and the crew is waiting for your instructions.”

  Victoria looked at him, “you didn’t have to do this, it looks really expensive.”

  “Actually the yacht was complimentary with the villa. I thought it would be fun if we spent a day at sea and possibly go scuba diving, if you are up to it?”

  “Sounds like fun.” She said excited as they boarded.

  A much smaller boat actually came with the villa, but Dominic wanted this experience to be special for Victoria so he rented the largest yacht they had available. Dominic wasn’t frivolous with his money, but he also didn’t mind spending it on someone he cared about and he was definitely developing feelings for her.

  Victoria and Dominic were given a tour of the yacht. The interior had a warm contemporary feel enhanced by lovely cherry wood and fine soft furnishings. The fully stocked bar and dining area was laid out in an open floor space. The lounge area came equipped with an L shaped cream leather sofa, coffee table and two occasional chairs, a flat screen TV and music system. Just past the lounge area was a formal dining table. The sizeable exterior deck had a Mediterranean feel with a shaded area with upholstered seating. The upper deck was also partly shaded space with dining furniture that was perfect for a romantic dinner. The afternoon was spent first scuba diving then lounging on the deck.

  “Are you hungry? A late lunch was prepared, we can go below and eat if you would like.” Dominic asked. Victoria stomach growl as he finished his statement. “I guess that’s a yes.” He was unable to contain his laughter.

  She smacked him on the arm “I guess I am hungry, led the way.” She said as she followed him below.

  They talked as they ate, mostly about family when Victoria disposition turned solemn. “Hey, hey none of that, we are here to have a good time and that’s what we are going to do.” She inhaled deeply, smelling a mixture of the salt and his cologne, it was a heady combination. She looked at him and smiled.

  “So what’s next?” she said looking for a distraction.

  “Well I say we explore the rest of this y
acht, I don’t know when I will get another chance to get on something so huge.” He motioned for her hand as they set off to explore the rest of the yacht. He could now afford to buy several yachts, but when would he have the time to enjoy it.

  At the end of a hall there was a bedroom with a king size platform bed made out of a light oak, a flat screen TV mounted on the wall and a master bathroom. They both looked around in amazement.

  “Have you ever made love on a yacht before?” He asked as she wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her back into his chest.

  “Really!” She turned her head to face him as she rolled her eyes. “I told you my limited sexual experience, so that will be huh… No.”

  She turned to face him, eyes barely raised and yawned, “Okay lead the way.” She rose slowly trying to lift her sore body off the bed. They showered together, allowing the water to run over their bodies for a few minutes before taking turns washing each other. They dressed and went on the deck just in time to see the sunset. They shared a lounge chaise as they watched the sunset in silence.

  By the time they got back to the villa they were both exhausted. Victoria walked in and flopped on the sofa.

  “You want something to drink?” Dominic yelled from the wet bar

  “Just bottled water, I drank enough today to last me a week.”

  “Come on, you’re on vacation, you’re suppose to do everything in excess.”

  She looked at him with a raised brow as he handed her the water bottle. He looked at her expression.

  “And I mean everything,” he said smiling.

  “Well I know one thing we have done in excess and I’m enjoying every minute of it,” she said as she raised the water bottle to her mouth not wanting to give him eye contact.

  “Me too.” he smiled while bring his beer bottle to his lips.

  “Come sit with me on the terrace.” He coaxed as they sat under the gazebo and watched the moonlight dance off the water.

  Over the next week they stuck to the morning routine of working out and reserving one hour for answering important emails. And true to his word, Dominic had his way with Victoria in all the bedrooms, the kitchen, living room, terrace, beach and ocean.

  “We only have two more days in paradise, is there anything special you want to do before we leave?” Dominic asked as he closed his computer.

  “I would love to go shopping today and tomorrow’s my birthday so I just want to have a lazy day on the beach.” She paused; she needed to let him know how much she was enjoying herself. “Nick you have fulfilled everything I thought was possible on this trip, I have had an amazing time, thanks to you.”

  He smiled. “I’ve had a great time also.” He stood and closed his computer. “Okay shopping and a lazy day it is.”

  They spent the day visiting several market places, picking up gifts for family and friends. Victoria only had a few gifts to pickup, but Dominic had several. She helped him pick out gifts and was envious of Dominic’s large family, other than her two best friends, she had no other family, she was alone in the world. “Hey, you okay? Dominic asked noticing the solemn look on her face. “We are in paradise and you look sad.”

  “I’m fine I’m just feeling a little jealous that you have so many family members to buy gifts for and I have no one other than my two best friends.”

  He looked at her and his heart ached to make her happy. “If it will make you feel better, I will let you pay for my remaining gifts.” He smiled which prompting her to laugh as she smacked him on his shoulder.

  “Come on how many more gifts do you have to get, you have like fifty people on the list.” She teased. He put his arm around her shoulder and they continued to shop, she looked up at this man who she had spent almost two weeks with and felt a warm feeling all over, wishing he was her man and they were here on vacation, but the reality was that he was being paid to be here with her and being paid to say a
ll the right things to make her feel good about herself. She tried to mask the hurt she was feeling as they finished shopping and headed back to the villa for dinner.
