Many thanks to the Jewish Book Council for its fabulous support, and to the myriad online book groups, book clubs, bookstagrammers, reviewers, bloggers, podcasters, bookstores, libraries, and publications. And most importantly, my readers. This is only a partial list. I could write a novel about all those who embraced me and my work along the way, including: Great Thoughts’ Great Readers and the Fantastic Ninjas; my Tall Poppy sisters (Ann Garvin and the Pop-Stars), BLOOM; Binders; Barbara Bos (you rock) and Women Writers, Women’s Books; Jen Cannon and In Literary Love; Kristy Barrett, Tonni Callan, and A Novel Bee; Charlie Fenton and THE Book Club; Bobbi Wiedel Dumas and Sharlene Martin Moore from The Romance of Reading for their friendship and Sharlene’s gifted graphics; Readers Coffeehouse; Suzanne Weinstein Leopold; Jackie Pilossoph; Zibby Owens; Linda Levack Zagon; Robin Kall Homonoff; Jennifer Tropea O’Regan; Kate Rock; Elizabeth Silver; Scary Mommy; Grown and Flown; Bliss, Beauty and Books; Writer Unboxed; BookTrib; Richard Reeder (the man with the perfect name); The Book Stall, The Book Bin; Barbara’s Bookstore; Shakespeare & Co.; the inspiring Jamie “Soul Cycle Book Goddess” Rosenblit; Leslie Hooton; Laura Coffey at Today; my hometown book club, the Happy Bookers; and my golden network of GIRLilla Warfare readers and staff writers.

Yaffa Siman Tov, my Israeli editor (Simanim Publishing House), Toda Raba for always believing in my writing.

A special hug to Ellen Katz for keeping me centered, breathing, and on my path (ILG).

Thank you, Guy Pederson, a gifted sculptor whom we met along our Napa adventure, for advising me on the ins and outs of sculpting, Michelangelo’s habits, and who made it his personal mission to spread the word on Fugitive Colors (a girl never forgets her first).

My “beautifiers” (I couldn’t do any of these gigs without you)—Elise “Leesi B.” Brill and Diane Balke. And to photographer Tell Draper for showering me with light.

Marcy Glink (Great Events, Inc.) for her incredible warmth and creativity, and turning every special event I have into spectacular memories.

To “my” magazine editor—J. P. Anderson of Michigan Avenue. I’ve had lots of editors in this biz, but he is my fave.

My baristas—same corner, same place, same extra hot mocha—every day. This author couldn’t function without her java, her wine, and a good bourbon (yes, it is 5 p.m. somewhere, if anyone’s asking).

This book is not just my solo literary journey from prologue to epilogue, it’s about those who enable me to live and breathe my passion on a daily basis. You know who you are and just how much you mean to me. Thank you for being my tribe. I’m so profoundly grateful. xoxo
