Billionaire Christmas: A Standalone Novel (A Holiday Alpha Billionaire Romance Love Story) (Billionaires Book 1) Page 23

by Claire Adams

I lifted my hips and let her pull them down. She took my shorts with them and my erection stood at attention. She ran her hand across it and made me shiver before she stood up off the bed and pulled them the rest of the way off. I smiled at her and said,

“I thought I was supposed to be doing all the work.”

She winked at me. “Only the strenuous stuff.”

She stood between my legs and leaned down to kiss my lips, and then she worked her way across my jawline and down my neck, leaving a trail of hot kisses in her wake. She kissed across my chest and licked my nipples before she licked and kissed across my stomach until those sexy lips finally landed on the head of my cock.

I groaned as I felt her tongue trace around the outside of it and then lick all the way down the shaft and back up again. When she got to the tip, she sucked the head into her mouth and sucked while flicking it with her tongue. She was driving me crazy, but when I tried to lift her up, she resisted.

She wriggled out of my grasp and sucked the rest of my shaft into her hot mouth until the head landed at the back of her throat. Then she bobbed up and down and I felt both my balls and my cock swell. I wrapped my hands in her hair and moved my hips in time with her mouth for as long as I could take it. I used the grip on her hair to pull her off me, and I sat up and kissed her lips, letting my tongue delve in and explore the hot moist cavity.

Without breaking the kiss, I lay back on the bed and brought her down on top of me. She sucked at my lips and on my tongue. I could feel her hard nipples pressing against the fabric of her blouse and into my chest. We kissed until she had to come up for air.

“Hey, you have way too many clothes on,” I told her.

She grinned at me again and got up and began stripping. I propped myself up on my elbow so I could see every delicious piece of her as she revealed it. Once she was as naked as me, I sat up on the edge of the bed and took hold of her hips. I let go with one hand and used the other to trace the outline of her wet lips.

She stepped outward and opened herself up to me. and I let two of my fingers slide up into her velvety tunnel. She moaned as I moved them around, crooking one in half and sliding the other in and out. I brought her hips closer to my face and leaned down to lick the swollen hood of her clit.

Her whole body convulsed when I touched it, so I did it again and again while continuing to slowly fuck her with my fingers. I could tell by the sound of her breathing she was getting close to her climax, so I stopped and moved my mouth up to those gorgeous breasts. She whimpered as I tasted them. I licked and sucked on her nipples until her legs were shaking so hard that she had to drop down onto my lap.

Her bare pussy was against the throbbing shaft of my cock and while I continued to tease and tantalize her breasts, she slid back and forth on top of me.

She was panting and grasping at my hair. I bit down on one of her nipples just enough to sting slightly, and she cried out and pulled my hair. I felt the warm gush of liquid paint my cock. She rocked back and forth against me until she was spent and then pushed me back on the bed.

I lay down and lifted her so that her sopping wet pussy was right over my cock. She reached down to take it in her hands and held it in place while she slid down onto it. Fourth of July was happening in my head as she impaled herself down on me and began to move.

She raised and lowered her hips, and I started raising and lowering mine until we found a rhythm. She leaned down to kiss me again, letting her tongue linger lazily in my mouth, sliding against my tongue and tracing the outline of my teeth.

I suddenly felt the muscles she had wrapped around my cock tighten and then release. I groaned and she did it again. I hissed out a curse between my teeth before grabbing her sweet, round ass and without breaking contact, I rolled us over.

She lifted her legs and wrapped them around my waist, and I started to plunge in and out of her. I was beyond taking my time at this point. I’d missed her so much and I needed her so badly.

I rocked into her and she rolled her hips into me until I felt an orgasm approaching with the force of a hurricane. When I couldn’t hold back another second, I slid my hand underneath her and pulled her up off the bed. I held her in place as I came because the force of it may have rocked her through the wall above the bed otherwise.

I came forever and when I was finally finished, I lowered her slowly to the bed and then I collapsed down next to her. I wrapped her up in my arms and pulled her into me. I never wanted to let her go. I never wanted to be without her again.

  “I love you, Chloe.”

  “I love you, too.”

“Can I ask what this means, or does that make me sound like a girl?”

She giggled. “You kind of sound like a girl.” I tickled her until she begged me to stop and then she said, “It means I’m ready to try again if you want to. But this time, no hurry okay?”

“No hurry.” I kissed her face and her neck and her shoulder. “As long as I know you’re the light at the end of this long, fucking tunnel I’ve been traveling through, I can be patient.”

“Good because we’re going to have to get Daddy back on board.”

I groaned and she laughed. I’d get the entire cities of Manhattan and Long Island on board if I had to.

  CONCLUSION

  CHLOE

  One Year Later

I felt pressure on the bed and opened one eye. Kimber and Noah were staring at me. I opened my other eye and smiled at them. “Hey, it’s not even light yet. What are you two doing up?”

  “It’s Christmas!”

  I giggled. “I know.”

“You’re getting married today!” Kimber said.

  “Santa came!” Noah announced.

“I know on both counts. But it’s only…” I looked at the clock at the bedside and groaned. “Four forty-five a.m. Is your mom up already?”

“She had to go to the hospital, she got a call.”

“Oh,” I sat up. “What about your dad?”

“He went in last night,” Kimber said. “He’s not home yet.”

“Oh wow, they were both on call on Christmas?”

“Just until eight and then they’re off,” Noah said. I used to worry about Logan and I both working when we decided to have kids, but Whitney and Max had two of the most well-adjusted kids I’d ever met and they work more than we do.

“That way they can come to the wedding for sure,” Kimber told me.

“Okay, well let’s go see what Santa left us, right after we make some coffee.”

The kids squealed as I rolled out of bed and found my robe. I sent them ahead of me so I could wash my face and brush my teeth. I got out my overnight bag and reached way down to the bottom and pulled out the box I’d hidden there. It was part of Logan’s Christmas surprise…I hoped. I spent another few minutes preparing that and then I went downstairs with the kids.

I yawned as my feet hit the first-floor landing. I had worked until nine p.m. the night before on a project I had to finish before I took three weeks off for our wedding and honeymoon. Then, I drove to Long Island instead of staying at the penthouse because I wanted to be there for Christmas morning with the family.

Logan and I had decided not to see each other until the wedding. I stayed at Whitney’s and he stayed at his mom’s. The cottage was being renovated. Logan really wanted it to be a surprise, but there was no way he could hide all the comings and goings of contractors and construction workers. It would still be a surprise, though, since the only part of it I was involved in was talking to an architect about what I liked.

When I got downstairs, I found the kids shaking presents from under the huge tree that Max and Whitney had in the living room. I smiled at them and went to make my coffee. When I got back, Noah had one half-way opened. “Shouldn’t you wait for your parents before you open presents?”

He curled his lip. “Eight o’clock is a long time. Can I go up to Grandma’s? She’ll let me open some.”

“You can’t go up by yourself; it
s still dark out there.”

He looked at his sister and she rolled her eyes. “Fine, I’ll take you.”

“Thank you, Kimber. I’d do it, but I’m not supposed to see Uncle Logan today before the wedding.”

“It’s fine. You’re not going to start getting ready before I get back, are you?”

“No, honey. I have to pick up my mom and dad at the airport in about three hours, so I won’t be getting ready until then.”

I watched the kids bundle up in their coats, hats, and scarves and then I stood at the door and watched them walk up the lane toward their grandparents’ house. When I saw them turn into the gate, I closed the door and shivered.

It had been a cold winter already and the ground was covered in a light dusting of snow. My getting married on the beach idea wasn’t working this go around, but Logan had a big tent put up near the water so at least the sounds of the ocean would be in the background while we tied the knot. I was making a fire when my phone rang. I smiled when I saw it was Logan. “Hi, baby.”

  “Hello, gorgeous. Merry Christmas.”

“Thank you. Merry Christmas to you, too.”

  “Can I see you?”

“I thought we decided not to see each other until I came down the aisle this afternoon.”

“I changed my mind. Mom says it’s only bad luck if I see you in your dress. You’re not wearing it now, are you?”

“I thought about putting it on. I wouldn’t mind sitting around in it all day. It makes me feel pretty.”

He laughed. “You should always feel pretty; you’re gorgeous. Can I come over? I’m going through Chloe withdrawals. Plus, I want to show you your Christmas surprise.”

“Okay.” I hadn’t seen him at all for two days. I was going through withdrawals of my own. “Give me a few minutes to get dressed.”

“No way, I want to see you undressed.”

I rolled my eyes. If I lived to be a hundred I’d never know what he saw in me, but I was so glad he did. After I ended the call, I went back upstairs. I forced myself not to look at what was on the bathroom counter and got into the shower. By the time Logan was there, I was showered and dressed and the sun was beginning to come up.

With an excited flutter in my belly, I slid Logan’s surprise into a plastic bag and tucked it into my pocket. I wasn’t sure when I wanted to give it to him, but I knew I wasn’t going to be able to wait long. I was already about to burst with the news.

When I got downstairs, he was standing there in a Santa hat, the ugliest Christmas sweater I’d ever seen, and a pair of jeans that made him look yummy enough to ignore the sweater.

He opened his arms and I slid into them. We fit each other so well and there was no place I’d rather be. I looked up at him and he kissed me. When I broke the kiss, I stepped back and looked at the sweater again.

“I don’t understand it,” I said, reminding myself of Lilliana. Since all that drama happened last year, Lily and I had made our way around to becoming friends. She apologized for her part in spying on me and Logan and was sincere about it.

She’d been so desperate for a relationship with her sister or her father – any family at all – that she would have agreed to do almost anything. She had tried to tell me what was going on not long before I found out, but she hadn’t been able to, but when it was all over with I just couldn’t see any reason to hold a grudge. She was still a bit crass in the way she said things and I had to do a lot of apologizing for her, but she was also smart and funny and fun once I got to know her. I needed a female friend in the city, and it turned out that my ex-roommate fit the bill.

“Aunt Mabel is in town,” Logan said as an explanation for the sweater. He had a whole collection of them in one closet in his penthouse. She made them for him every year and he didn’t have the heart to throw them out. I’d forgotten about them until now.

“Oh! That makes sense,” I said.

“She had a package for you, too.”

I laughed. “I guess I’ll have to clean out a closet of my own now.” I was so happy to become part of this family that I wouldn’t even care to wear it…much. “I can’t wait,” I told him. “Too bad we’re going to Jamaica for our honeymoon and not someplace cold or we could wear them.”

“I know, right?” He grinned. “Bundle up; I want to show you your surprise.”

“Where are we going?” I asked while I was putting on my coat and hat.

“Not far.” I finished putting on my scarf and gloves and then he took my hand and led me out of the house. When we got to the edge of the yard, I could tell that something was different. It took me a few seconds to process what it was.

While they worked on the cottage, Logan had them erect a wall around it. He wanted at least part of it to be a surprise. I saw now that the wall was gone and in place of the cottage that you used to not even be able to see from here was a house. It was a huge house.

“Logan! Oh my God, you said renovations!”

He was smiling. “You know how I am. I got carried away. I hope you don’t mind.”

“Let’s go look at it.” He had the golf cart waiting, and we rode it over. The closer we got to the house, the more blown away I was at how different it looked. The front yard was the same and the cobblestone path that led up to the porch, but that’s where the similarities stopped.

This house was two stories tall with a porch that wrapped all the way around it and two balconies off the top story. The top of the house was made from wood and the bottom out of rock. I’d told the architect that I loved rock houses.

Logan held my hand and led me inside. Where the little living room had been, now held a large foyer with shiny wood floors and a spiral staircase. From there, you entered the living room, which was huge, but warm and homey. It had giant, wooden beams in the ceiling and comfortable-looking, plush furniture in rustic, fall colors.

He led me through the bottom story. Everything was bigger and all the appliances in the gourmet kitchen were new. The windows were all huge and sat recessed in an oval shape to provide room for a plush, cushioned seat in each one.

There were two offices downstairs, one for Logan and one for me. I’d moved up in the ranks at Cooper in the year I’d been there and oversaw a lot of our more important accounts. Logan told me all the time how proud he was of me and he never pressured me to leave the competition and come back to work with him. I thought us not working together was a good thing; that might have been just a little too much togetherness.

The kitchen had a set of rustic-looking stairs in it, too, and he led me up to the second floor. The master bedroom and bath were both gorgeous and even the bathroom had a huge window to let in a lot of sun just like I’d told the architect I liked. From there, he showed me a guest bedroom and then the bedroom next to ours, which had been left empty. “What is this room?” I asked him.

“Well, I thought when we decide to start a family, this would be a good place for the nursery, but I thought you’d like to decorate that yourself. Anything that you don’t like in the rest of the house we can change, too. I used the stuff we collected together and what you already had, but-” I put my fingers over his lips.

“I love it. It’s absolutely perfect.” I felt tears filling up my eyes as I looked around the room. The carpet was a tan color and the walls were off-white. I wondered if the rest of it would be pink or blue.

“Good. I wasn’t sure if those were happy tears or not.”

“The happiest,” I told him. “This past year has been the happiest of my life and it just keeps getting better.”

He put his arms around me from behind and we stood there for a second like that. I wondered if he was also imagining the day we would decorate this nursery and bring our own baby home from the hospital.

“We should get up to Mom’s for breakfast, I guess. Unless you’d like to try out our new bed….”

I laughed. “I have a surprise for you, too, before we go. Close your eyes.”

He cocked an eyebrow at me, b
ut he closed them. While I pulled the little bag out of my pocket he said, “I’m just guessing, but will you be naked when I open them?”

  “Stop it. This is better.”

  “Nothing is better.”

  I laughed again. “Open them.”

He opened them and I watched as his blue eyes searched out and focused on what I had held up in my hand. Then I watched as realization dawned on him about what it was. He looked at me and back at the stick and back at me.

“It has a plus sign,” he said, as if he was in shock.

I smiled and nodded. “It’s our plus one for the wedding.”

“Oh my God, Chloe, every time I think life with you is as good as it can get, you make it better.”

I laughed again. “We made this, together.”

He slipped his arm around my shoulders and then took the stick out of my hand. He started to bring it to his lips and I commented, “Peed on that.”

He stopped and looked at it. “Maybe I’ll just blow it a kiss.” He looked down at me then and said, “Thank you for not giving up on me.”

I hugged him tightly. “Thank you, for being impossible to give up on. Let’s go watch the kids open their presents, and then if we have some free time this afternoon, we should get married.”

As we walked out of the empty room he said, “And then we can try out the new bed?”
