Daigon: First Dance Water Swordplay (Dance Of The Minds Book 1)

I hesitated if I should help Kaylon, he was a mystery and it made me curious to find out more. But I was still infatuated with him. How could I resist that handsome face? In truth I wanted to be with him. I really wanted my body close to his. I wanted to hold his body in my bed. When I’m close to him I could smell his refreshing scent, and see the glimmer in his eyes. I hesitated in giving my answer but I already knew what my answer was. However I couldn’t just disappear without saying goodbye to my father first. He would worry about me.
“All right I’ll come with you, but I must give my father an excuse before I leave.”
“Meet me back here in two days, same time and don’t bring anything with you, you won’t need it.”
“I won’t need anything? How long will this fight of yours take?”
“It’s hard to say but it will not end in the near future. I will supply you with everything.”
I nodded but still skeptical, this started sounding more and more suspicious. But I had no reason to believe he would harm me. No point in saving my life to kill me or do me harm. Even if he wanted to harm me it would be futile to resist.
It wasn’t difficult to convince my father I would be at Stanford for an extended period of time. I told him my course work this year was very heavy and I’d be very busy. I felt bad leaving my father all alone again but my intrigue and desire was so strong nothing would hold me back.
I came to the park where I last met Kaylon at the same time but he wasn’t there. It was a beautiful day today, twenty-six degrees Celsius with a light wind and warm sun rays. There were a lot of people taking walks, lots of people walking their dog and playing catch.
I sat on the bench and closed my eyes to soak up the warm rays with my skin. I felt so relaxed with the breeze on my face and the warmth on my skin. It was so peaceful and calm. I rested my mind and drifted away until I felt a light tap on my shoulder that woke me. It was Kaylon, he came with nothing but the clothes on his back.
“Let’s go,” he gestured me to get up.
“Where are we going? Are we driving there?”
“You will see with your eyes soon enough.”
That wasn’t reassuring at all but I couldn’t back out now. With a brief moment of hesitation, I finally got up and followed close by him with a leisurely stroll. I took a deep silent breath to get a taste of his scent. I loved the scent of his aroma. We followed the park trail for several minutes before coming to a small patch of trees. He led me in there and I started feeling doubtful, this would be a good place to commit a crime away from watchful eyes.
“This will do.”
“What are we doing here?” I was confused. There was nothing here.
Kaylon got closer to me. I flinched away but he put a gentle hand on my shoulder reassuring me. It made my heart beat faster, his touch sent a small electric shock throughout my body. I could feel the air getting dense and thick making it harder to breathe. A bright dark purple light started to circle around illuminating the area, it swiveled and swirled around whispering intangible words at us. I felt a fright in my bones that wanted to bolt out of here. I felt as if I was a zebra and I could feel a lion stalking me behind the bushes. Now my head was up looking into the distance and my ears perked listening carefully to the sounds of nature and for the sounds of danger. I sniffed and snorted trying to detect any smells that were weary to me. I didn’t want to be the inattentive zebra becoming the lion pride’s next meal. As the light swirled more ferociously it began to snarl at us. I felt completely vulnerable, as I brought my clench fist to protect my chest. I wanted to run and hide behind a tree but was afraid I would be consumed in this light. I felt the adrenaline in my blood vessels trying to guide me. My instincts fuel by the adrenaline tried to take over control of my body but I forced it to stay its place.
Suddenly I heard Kaylon voice. “Trust in me.” I looked into those brilliant eyes which gave me reassurance. He didn’t fail to take note I was having a mental breakdown.
The sun became frighten and coward away retracting its beautiful rays. The darkness crept closer enveloping the trees in the distance and they were no more. Step by step the pitch black in the distance move its way towards us. I noticed Kaylon started to disperse as if he was made of light, a dark purple light. The light was the same colour of the dark purple that was encircling us. I look at my own hand and a light blue emitted from it as my hand disintegrated.
I waved my hand side to side and a stream of blue flowed like a smear of paint on a canvas. The blue light was emitting from my entire body. My sight became blurry and the scent of misty trees disappeared. I could no longer hear the voices from the light, in fact I couldn’t hear anything. I saw a few feet in front of me, I saw mostly colours of purple and blue and shimmering light in the distance. Suddenly my head became very light and my body weightless. It reminds me of the feeling of those tower drops in the amusement parks or to be more exact it was the positive and negative g-forces you experience in certain thriller rides. But this feeling of weightlessness was much more intense than those I had felt in any amusement park before. I felt my stomach churn and scream, I could feel things going back up my esophagus and the initial feeling of needing to vomit. The rush was so intense I felt nauseated and fearful. I couldn’t calm myself down and was hyperventilating. I tried to gasp for air but I couldn’t breathe. Then everything turned black, black as far as I could see.

Songnar, Yhonar
Jhan pulled the curtain to let the morning light into the room. The windows reach from the floor to the ceiling over nine metres high. It was a grandiose room with solid floorboards and decorative metal work on the double doors and window frames of gold and silver. A magnificent chandelier hung from the ceiling way above that capture the sun and sparkled with radiance. The room was styled in the way of ancient wood work of sturdy resilience yet modern beauty. Delicate details of flowers were carved into the wood and finished off to a smooth shine and glossy finish.
It was a distance probably some fifty metres from the window to the door, the room vastly empty but outfitted luxuriously with comfort. Jhan exited the door to later return with four men carrying a large basin filled with rosy petals on top. Warm steam rose above the basin. The men left and two maids came in the room.
“Shall we place her daigon into the bath your reaeslave?” The maid spoke in a sturdy soft tone.
“Yes.” Jhan responded as he placed as few drops of a concoction into the water.
The maid went to where Layana was sleeping in the bed, she was dressed in a thin silk of light blue that was transparent. As the light hit the silk, the fabric became completely translucent. The maids carefully removed the silk fabric as to not tear it. Then as if they were lifting a pillow they placed her in the warm scented water. Jhan took a silk cloth, soaked it in the water and delicately washed Layana face. Gently caressing her curves as he washed her chest, back and thighs and working downwards in a purposeful manner to her toes. It has become his ritual to bathe her, keeping her free from debris and sweat build up. After he finished he signaled the maids to retrieve her. They came quickly, picked her up and dried her off then dressed her in a yellow silk robe that was more revealing then the last. Afterwards they returned her to the bed, they covered her with a thin quilt. The men came in after the maids left and carried the large basin out of the room.
The day went on with Layana in bed. It wasn’t until late in the evening when the sun set that Jhan return to check on her and closed the curtains leaving her in the dark for the night.
Morning came again and the curtains were pulled aside to let the light in again. The ritual began again as the maids return to undress their daigon and lower her into the basin. This time Layana reflexes reacted to the water with a gentle twitch. Jhan failed to take notice and began to wash her face again as normal. The stimulus began to arouse her and her mind slowly broke from its deep slumber of hibernation. Her closed eyelids began twitching in rapid movement.
Without ant
icipation Layana jolted her head up as if she just heard a loud bang that startled her. She woke to find a man with a silk cloth on her breast and two women standing to the side.
“What the hell is going on here!” Layana said furiously and slapped Jhan across the cheek, then covering her breast and vagina with her hands.
“Apologies my daigon, please do not be alarmed.” Jhan stood up and then knelt down with the maids following suit. “We were bathing you my daigon to ensure you wouldn’t wither away in filth.”
“Where are my clothes!”
“Please allow us my daigon.” Jhan motioned the maids into action.
The maids grabbed Layana arms and pulled her up leaving her complete exposed and shocked once again. She tried to cover herself up again but the maids used a towel to dry her off quickly and helped her step out of the basin. Quickly they grabbed the green silk robe they had prepared and Layana hastily put it on to cover herself up.
“What the hell is this,” Layana shouted, covering her private regions again. She noticed the silk robe did nothing for her modesty but it was so soft on her skin and felt very nice. She enjoyed the feel so much she couldn’t stop rubbing it. The silk made the tiny hair on her skin rise up. But nothing could make her forget that the silk was completely see through and revealing.
“My apologies my daigon, we didn’t expect you to wake so soon or abruptly. We wanted you to be comfortable and hadn’t prepared anything for you to wear besides your sleeping robes.” Jhan quickly motion for the maids to get her some proper garments.
Layana’s memories came back at once. She remembered being with Kaylon and then the light and nothing afterwards.
“How long have I been sleeping?”
“Three nights and two days but after going through an interplanetary temporal shift for the first time many end up in a state of comatose for eight to ten days on average. I’m amazed my daigon woke up so soon.”
Layana face was puzzled, she was confused again.
“Are you referring to me as daigon, what is that?”
“Yes, my daigon I am. You have a lot of questions and I should explain from the beginning. Daigon is a title equivalent to lord in your nomenclature.”
“But I’m not a lord, and also I’m a woman, I should be a lady.”
“We do not differentiate based on gender when titles are issued as to not make one lesser or inferior when they should be equal.”
“None the less, I’m no daigon. I’m just an ordinary person.”
“His representative the Highest Grace, the Governor of Moons, the Executor of Rights, the First Daigon, Emperor Daigon, of the Imperial Walyron Empire has granted Layana Nito the title Daigon as such you shall receive all honours, honorific, prestige with such a title. I shall address you as my daigon.”
The maids return with clothes and as Layana reach to grab them the maid automatically worked in unison to undress her and dress her quickly. It was very awkward for her with everyone standing there as if it was normal, in truth it was normal for them. She tried to pull the clothes on but was only hindering the maids as they work and so she just stood there naked and let them do their work. Jhan didn’t divert his eyes from her, which made her feel more self-conscious.
They dress her in tight black pants and a sleeveless dark red gown that was completely open in the front. She noticed there was no under garments or bras in the attire they brought. They brought her to the side of the bed so she could sit and they slipped on comfortable slippers of dark blue with elegant pattern designs embroidered on it, simple yet lovely. The outfit in itself was simple but elegant, it was soft but had a durable feel to it. It was very comfortable and felt natural as a second skin allowing full range of motion. Most importantly the outfit covered her and didn’t flash any or her genitalia as if she was a prostitute working the streets.
Layana opened her mouth to ask more questions but Jhan spoke first.
“My name is Jhan. I’m your reaeslave. In time I hope you will find confidence in me and I will earn your trust. My loyalty is to you and my allegiance is to you. I’m a collector of information and a trained observer. I can be a counsellor to you if you wish for my counsel. However I’m not very adept at war and my power is quite limited but my life to serve and I am yours to command.”
“I’m so confused, can you tell me from a point in time I will understand?”
“Yes my daigon.”
Before Jhan was able to speak the maids came back with food. Layana didn’t even realized they left. The maids were very good at slipping in and out undetected. One was holding a large plate of grapes, melons and other fruits, as well as bread and cheese. The other had a plate full of various meat, some smoked, some fried, some dried, some baked.
“What does my daigon wish to drink?”
“Do you have water or some juice?”
“Yes,” she placed the cut fruits, bread and cheese down and left with a quick step that was silent. The other maid stood close by as if waiting for an order.
Jhan began to explain from the point where Layana was last with Kaylon. In fact Kaylon Lun was an alias, his name was Qunor Moon although there was only a glimpse of truth to that. The fact was nobody knew what his birth name was. He changed his name to Qunor Moon during the forging of powers era when people join together to form empires for control of the world. One band of people changed their names with their group name Moon. Qunor became the governor of moons, the head of the group. Jhan didn’t go any further into this branch of the story as it would lead away from the main point. Jhan did point out that they didn’t have a fixation to family names and lineage that people on Earth was accustom to.
The bright dark purple light was from Qunor and an indication of his energy. Everyone has a chroma of colour of a specific hue. Although the light may not be unique to them as there are so many people. People are bound to overlap in their energy signatures.
A temporal shift allows for transit over great distances in seconds. It converts the person or object into energy thus allowing for rapid acceleration and maintenance of velocity to reach its destination. Depending on the distance and the complexity of the shift it can consume a great amount of mentality. Thus draining the caster when such a huge distance is travelled or multiple people are moved.
For first time shifters, the brain always enters a state of shock and retreats into a coma for a few days. Many people need days to recover and sometimes even months. Sometimes people enter a state of shock and never wake, although rare. Some overconfident people die midway attempting to shift over a distance too great and they burn out their mind’s energy reserve before making it there.
Layana began eating at a rapid pace, she didn’t realize how famished she was. She stuffed her face and nod occasionally to indicate she was still listening to Jhan but in fact she couldn’t get the food in her mouth quick enough.
Daigons would govern districts within an empire. Qunor had appointed Layana Daigon of the Watnar district. Watnar was a district in the planet Plitarth. The district has been making slow concessions to the Alliance. Once a great junction of the Walyron Empire it’s now a fragment of its former glory.
“Why am I made a lord of a city?” Layana mumbled out with a mouth full.
“We are at war with the Alliance. The cities within the planet Yhonar are relative stable since we had a dominant presence here back to the time of forging powers. But our outward expansions are under constant siege. The Watnar district during the peak of the Walyron Empire contain land over eight million square kilometres. Now the Watnar district is under four million kilometres, more than half lost to the Alliance. Qunor needs you to protect the Watnar district from the Alliance and maintain the borders.”
“What the hell is going on? I don’t know anything about Watnar and who we are fighting. I’m not even strong. I’m just a girl.” She started to feel despair, she felt that she could die in this battle and she didn’t want to die for someone else’s war. This fight she knew nothing about and felt no
anger towards anyone. why was she to risk so much when she had no involvement.
“Do not worry my daigon, I will accompany you and watch over you with my life. The Emperor Daigon Qunor Moon has arranged for your training. If you learn as quick as you have recovered, things will progress rapidly for you. You will pick up things in no time I know this for certain.”
Layana had a strange feeling and a strong sense of regret. She wished for anything now that she had not agree to come with Kaylon before. This was a bad idea and she wish she ran as fast as she could the first sense of despair she felt. She was a bird trapped in a cage, no escape.

Zartarth, Plitarth
Kaven Smot and Nizo Cannar sat at a round table sipping evening liquor, a dark malt fermented from long grains native to the planet Plitarth. The liquor popular among royals. It fermented to an alcoholic concentration of twenty-five percent and had a very strong scent but the taste was light and refreshing. Maids brought fresh delicate pastries to complement their liquor as they basked in the setting sun out looking into the terrain of a vast region they just annexed from the Watnar district.
“Well done Kaven, this was Qunor Moon’s last outpost reaching into our side. I can imagine him gritting his teeth.” Nizo smiled as he swirled his drink and took a bite into a fluffy pastry.
“Qunor doesn’t have the force to oppose me here. I rallied my banners and as soon as my might some fifty-thousand strong marched past the border their men fled. It was quite a sight, the flashing of lights across the dark sky.” Kaven spoke with appeasement. He was boasting himself on his victory. The man had little reserve and was the least humble amongst all.
“All hail the First Daigon, Emperor Daigon, Sallon Mar of the Imperial Rall Empire.” Sallon’s reaeslave announced her presence as she walked into the grand room.
