"Remember yesterday when I told you that Emily has a surprise for us? This is it. It'll be our home now. It was my mother's last property before she died. But I had to sell it to pay her bills. Luckily, no one is using the house so, Emily and my father bought it for us. As a graduation gift."
Wow, her eyes and mouth are wide opened. She can't believe it. They'll be living here? But what about the apartment they bought? Wow, her heart is swelling. Chloe wanted to say something but her mind cannot construct a proper sentence.
"We're going to live here? Wow! Can we go inside?" Chloe is feeling excited. How can she be so lucky? First, living with Jesse then now having an actual house with him. Is there more to come?
They both went inside not bothering to bring a car with them. It was quiet a walk from the gate to the front door. And when Jesse opened the door, they were welcomed by a beautiful interior.
Expensive chandeliers, white walls, fresh indoor plants, imperial staircase. It's perfect. It depicts her dream house but this is better than what she's dreaming of.
Jesse took her hand and guided her to the east wing and led her to a room. It was a library and an art room. The walls are filled with books, mostly are classics. While on the other side, there's paints, canvas, and other materials used for painting.
"This room is yours. This used to be my nursery and not it's your office/library/workspace/art room. It can be anything you want."
Chloe rushed to Jesse and jumped on his arms. She hugged her tightly and gave him a kiss. She just stayed silent. Words cannot express how happy she is to be with Jesse.
“I love you.”
That is their life now, happy, exciting, and there's a lot of pages to unfold. A lot of stories to be told. Before, she thought that she's not capable of loving someone the way she loves Jesse. And she won't be loved by someone as much as Jesse loved her.
She always thought that no one could ever thaw her hard as rock heart. But just one stare at him, everything changes. Just the word 'ginger' coming out of his mouth made her feel like a little child.
It was a bliss. This is bliss. And she can't wait for more. She always thought that it is hopeless for her to find someone to bring joy to her life. That it was impossible for her to heal her then worthless life.
But it was his love that melted he freezing heart.
