“I won’t,” she laughed. “I’ll look on Pinterest for ideas when we get back.” She’d also let him see what she found, wanting his opinion on it too.

“Clare and Asher are looking for a house,” Summer spoke after a few minutes of quiet.

“Yes, Asher told me. He’s not finding anything that he likes, though,” Chase said. “Christmas is in a couple weeks he went on. “I’m trying to talk Asher into waiting until they are married before buying a house. He jumps into things too fast without thinking sometimes.”

“What do you do for the holidays?” Summer asked, as she never got to celebrate them before.

“Family dinner at Mom’s for Thanksgiving, but we sort of missed that this year, thank God. Granddad will be there this year for Christmas. It’s just a big family gathering, mostly,” he answered.

“Will there be a ball this year?” Summer wanted to know, as she wasn't a huge people type of person. Summer preferred to be by herself if she had the choice. She had heard Zinna talking about that the night before and couldn’t help but ask.

“I don’t think so. She did one about two years ago, so it should be another two or three years before she demands another one,” Chase was quick to answer.

“Good,” she said, relieved as she snuggled up against him.

Chase loved that Summer was comfortable enough to lay next to him, even after knowing what he did for a living. She didn’t ask details about how he learned things, which was for the best. It was bad enough that he had to go through it.

Holding her to his side, he felt complete. He knew he had been missing his other half for too many years, and it made him feel out of sorts. Before he knew it, time passed and he had fallen asleep with Summer lying practically on top of him. He only woke up because his phone buzzed with a text message.

Slowly, to not wake Summer, he slid out from under her, placing a pillow for her to hug. He then quietly left the room closing the hidden doors that separated the ensuite from the bedroom to look at his text.

  Daddy Rodrigo is asking.

  -Trent

  For?

  -Chase

  His daughter. No contact.

  -Trent

  She’s safe.

  -Chase

  It’s not enough.

  -Trent

I’ll call him when I get back.

  -Chase

  Message sent.

  -Trent

Chase had learned to keep business texts short and simple so no one could read anything into them. Trent had left his phone on more than once, and luckily that Chase always kept things non-descriptive. Who knew what Valerie could have found out.

Slipping back into the room, Summer was sitting on the bed, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

“Sorry, I didn’t want to wake you,” Chase said, holding his phone up before slipping it into his pants pocket.

“It’s okay,” she yawned out. “When is dinner and where is it to be?”

“Here soon, in fact,” he said. “The Restaurant is just down on the main floor. We can go whenever you are ready.”

“Just let me freshen up,” Summer said, getting up off the bed and heading to the bathroom.

A huge soaker bathtub sat in front of frosted windows, with a window seat with tan marble. The floor was marble tiles, matching the countertop that held one sink. Bars of soap, towels and other items Summer had no idea were set out. The huge glass shower was in the corner of the bathroom with a rain shower head hanging from the ceiling and spray nozzles on all sides.

The mirror was spot free as Summer stood in front of it, brushing her hair out as parts of it were sticking up on one side from her nap. She felt small in this huge bathroom, as it was almost bigger than the one in Kayla’s house that was attached to the room she slept in the night before.

She still had trouble remembering that she was a Princess and things like this would be happening more often, as Chase would want her to travel with him on business trips. She needed to be active as his wife, helping to give her input into things.

She knew that Chase had many people to meet up with over the next year to prove that he would kill if needed, but also to prove that his plans would make this world better. Thugs and drug lords wouldn’t have to worry about being caught and put in jail so much if drugs could be kept off the streets.

Summer was more worried about the women and children that were still in the same position she was in not that long ago. She knew Chase wanted to put a stop to it, and she’d stand next to him to help as much as she could.

She changed into the dress she had brought in with her, then headed back to her suitcases to get shoes. The dress was black with a slit part way up one leg. Being made out of silk, it fit her perfectly and made her skin look creamy. Summer knew that it would make Chase keep his eyes on her all night long. All the time thinking how lucky she was.

  Chapter 13

Looking around herself, Summer never would have thought she’d be here, let alone with Chase. She was born into the world that didn’t know how to handle a Princess, so she was hidden away from the world by her own father. And for his own sick, twisted mind. Jason wanted to punish Emma Crouch in any way he could. What better way to do that than taking the only thing she loved away?

It was almost like the story of Rapunzel. A princess hid high up in a tower with no one to talk to, nobody to love or be loved by but a wicked witch.

The only difference for Summer was that she was hidden in plain sight as a servant forced to tend to houses and keep men company. No one but her mother loved her, and she wasn’t allowed to see her mom often.

Summer was more like Cinderella as a servant; she was her own princess and a fairy tale could be told about her. Her Prince, like in all fairy tales, came and rescued her. He gave her a new life, a new view on the hateful and dark world

Chase had given his Princess everything to make the world seem brighter and happier than it truly was. Some people are raised to kill without thought, without emotion. While others did good, lending a helping hand when needed.

Summer and Chase had both missed out on many things during their lives, and with growing up the way they had to, they gained more out of life than anyone ever should. They learned the value of life. The value of time.

That made them treasure each and every moment like it could be the last. To Chase, he knew there would always be a threat of some kind out there, so he made sure to let his wife know how much he adored her.

They had a nice, quiet dinner in the London hotel as they sat next to the windows. Jack and Peter sat not far from them at another table, on a date themselves, but watching out for any threat of any kind. No one would be able to tell that they were there for protection.

Word was slowly getting out about the couple, and the wedding that no one knew about. There were too many people wanting more details about the new Princess, but Chase did everything to keep her name, and picture, out of every media outlet there was.

Chase knew he needed to keep it that way for as long as possible. With Valerie’s dad, Saul Rodrigo, there would be something happening soon. It was expected.

He focused all of his attention on his wife, answering any questions she had, and asking a few himself. They kept the conversation to easy, simple things.

The restaurant was state of the art and had amazing food and amazingly beautiful décor. Dark tables with cream colored fabric chairs and booths. Lowlights above each table, casting a romantic feeling in the place.

Summer felt out of place here, just because there were a few people, guys dressed in expensive suits, that had looked her way when she had entered, her arm around Chase’s as he led her to the table that was already set up for them. It was mostly out of view, but for the two men that had stared at her gave her the creeps.

“I’m lucky to have you,” Chase spoke, holding her hand over the table as they sat facing one another at the small round table set for only two people. “Men will always look at you wherever you go becaus
e of your beauty. In the past month alone, you have gained ways to capture any man, and some women, to be drawn to your presence. It’s just who you are, my sweet Princess.”

Chase’s words caused Summer to blush, ducking her head. He always knew what to say to make her feel more at ease, the feeling of dread and fear left her in an instant.

“That is one reason why I brought two guards on this trip,” he went on. “Men like to look, some even touch when they know it’s not their place. I won’t let that happen, and neither will those two.”

As they looked over their menus, Chase entwined his feet with Summer’s underneath the table. She smiled, trying to read the items that were listed as his foot slowly went up and down her calf.

His leather shoe was soft against her bare leg, as the dress, she wore went to the top of her feet, but the slit allowed Chase access to her bare skin. She didn’t think she’d ever get used to wearing dresses and hoped she didn’t need to wear one often. Or for a very a long time.

Although, she did like the way that Chase looked at her like he almost didn’t want to go down for dinner. Summer would have gladly stayed in the room if it meant she’d get a naked Chase. But he had swallowed down his desire and held out his arm for her instead.

After placing their orders, Summer took her own foot and ran it up his leg. Teasing him.

She first went to his knee, keeping the pressure light against him. Up. Down.

“What do you think about getting a dog?” Chase asked, trying to ignore the foot the kept going a little bit higher at each pass. His cock was trying to come to life, but he refused to let it take control. Not yet at least.

“I’ve never had one,” Summer said with a shrug and wrinkling her nose in thought.

“I’m not sure about puppies, since they take more time than I have, but if we got an older dog to keep you company when I’m gone on trips it could be good. Maybe a German shepherd?” Chase asked. “I had a dog as a child. By the time he passed on from old age, I was finishing high school and preparing to get into the business with my father.”

“If you want to,” she replied, not sure if she wanted a dog. Or any animal. But she’d be willing to look.

“I know you won’t be able to go on all my trips with me, and some you won’t want to,” Chase went on as her foot brushed high up his thigh causing him to stiffen in surprise. Her look of fake calm was the only thing holding him together at the moment. She was trying to act all sweet and innocent.

He was certain that was the only reason he could keep his train of thought. As he remembered going on many trips with his father, and while Kayla went shopping with a number of guards, Chase had snuck around the hotels when he was to be watched by a sitter that was Marcel family approved of.

He’d sneak into whatever room his father was in, hearing how he took care of issues. A time or two Ivan pulled his gun from his waist, shooting some person that didn’t do what he wanted in a timely manner, his face emotionless.

“A dog could help keep you company when Clare moves out,” he went on, his voice thick as he tried to swallowed down his lust.

“I don’t really care one way or the other, Chase,” Summer said, letting her foot slid back down to the floor achingly slow. Chase held his breath till her foot finally reached the floor.

“Have you given any thought to what you want to do? You could work at the Marcel Industries. There're enough spots to fill somewhere, if not I can always make a spot,” he asked, watching his wife’s face for any emotions.

“I don’t know if I want to be around people all the time,” Summer said. “I do want to start learning some self-defense moves. Trent offered to teach me, and Clare.”

“He didn’t say anything to me,” Chase said, cocking his head to the side. He thought, why didn’t I think of that? Before he spoke again, “That would be a great idea. Asher or even Carter would also help since Trent is only able to do it once a week. It would help strengthen your muscles overall too.”

“I’d like to start soon after we get back if that’s okay,” Summer said shyly. She had other reasons why she wanted to be stronger. Her sex drive seemed to come alive now that Chase had shown her how good sex really was. She wanted to be strong enough to do more than what she was able to do now.

A book that Clare had bought over after reading it intrigued Summer somewhat of the possibilities to other sex positions and some took more flexibility than others. So she wanted to get in shape to try them.

Summer didn’t think that she could handle being tied up and unable to move, just because of her past, but a few, such as doggy style, reverse cowgirl looked intriguing. There were so many ways to make sex even better, and Summer wanted to try each way. If not more than once or twice. She got hot just thinking about it.

She could feel her arousal begin to creep up on her once more, and she couldn’t help but drag her foot up Chase’s leg again, this time letting the toe of her shoe pass over his cock, and making him grunt out.

“Summer,” he warned, giving her a sexy look. “If you keep that up, we won’t be finishing our dinner. You need to eat so you have enough energy to keep up.”

Summer simply looked at him through her eyelashes, as she let her foot drop, placing it on the floor once more.

“My sexy kitten,” he purred, knowing what she was planning. She simply gave him a mischievous smile.

They made little talk as they ate, trying to not eat too fast, but fast enough to get back upstairs. They threw teasing glances at one another, speaking in a way only the two of them could understand. If it wasn’t for the fact that they were in a room where people ate, they would have been naked and in the throes of pleasure already.

Half an hour later, Summer and Chase had paid for the food and were headed back to their hotel room. Jack and Peter would follow up shortly, as they hadn’t seen any threats on the camera feed they had on their smartphones. No one knew they were in New York, so there wasn’t anything threat wise at the moment.

Once in the elevator, luckily empty, Summer was pushed up against the wall as Chase attacked her lips in a hard demanding kiss. Her hands went to his biceps, holding onto him as her back hit the wall.

He wanted her, and his cock sprung to life the moment he touched her skin. She was addicting, and he would never get enough of her. Ever.

The ding of the elevator made them part, but it wouldn’t be long. They nearly sprinted to their room after Chase checked that no one was standing in the hallway, waiting with a gun. He, of course, had his on him.

“Let me change real fast,” Summer said before Chase could attack her again. He simply nodded, and took his gun out, and putting it on the table and facing the door.

Summer spared him a glance as she picked up her bag, not frightened of the gun he held. Surprisingly, she was okay with him having that thing on him at all times, knowing that he could use it if needed.

Chase would be teaching her how to shoot, and knew that she’d be able to pick up on it easily enough.

While Summer went to change, Chase stripped out of his clothes, folding them nicely over the back of a chair, leaving his boxer briefs on for the time being. He then made sure that the door was locked, and dimmed the lights so the string lights by the bed were the only lights on in the room.

Summer didn’t need to be wooed, so there was no point in Chase trying to do so. He laid on the bed after removing a few pillows and turning down the bed, waiting for his wife. It didn’t take Summer long to change, leaving her bag and cell phone in the bathroom. She was nervous as she opened the door, seeing her husband on the bed.

He lifted his head at the sound of Summer walking on the carpet, her head down and not meeting his eyes. She wore a black negligee with lace bra cups and practically nonexistent straps. A matching black thong was seen underneath, other than that she was completely bare.

Chase gawked at her, not sure what to do. She was stunning. And sexy. He had no thoughts as she slowly looked up at him through her dark lashe
s, seeing his stunned expression.

It was one of the things that Clare had packed, and the one that was more her style than the other two that were in the bag. The other two were hardly able to be considered wearable, as in they covered nothing. How could someone think that would be considered clothing?

“Wow,” he finally breathed out, propping himself on his elbows. He was afraid to touch her, knowing how turned on he already was. He loved how the lights in the room made the red in her hair stand out more as her strands cascaded over her shoulders and around her breasts.

“Is that good?” she asked, her voice low as she twirled around in a circle, her hair loose from the bun she had it in for dinner.

“Very,” he groaned out, seeing her ass as it peeked out from the nightie. “Amazingly good.”
