My boss seduces me!

by Corinna Taylor

A doctor came up to me and behind him I saw my sister. I was lying in a bed on a ward; I sat up.

‘Elsa! My God!’ She ran to me, crying, and hugged me.

The doctor started talking. ‘After the analyses that we have done, we are sure that... ’ Tatiana took my hand tightly; the doctor was looking at the report; ‘... everything is all right, except your elbow, which was almost dislocated. Fortunately, you have nothing to fear, neither for your baby nor for yourself; your injury will heal.’

‘And Erika?’ I asked in anguish.

‘She suffered a head injury; she hit her head against the steering wheel. But she is stable, she will recover, we are convinced of it. Fortunately, she didn’t suffer any major injuries, except for a dislocated elbow similar to yours, also the left arm.’

They discharged me and we went to see Erika. Soon her parents arrived, but she was unconscious. In the midst of the hubbub and tension, we moved aside for a few seconds, in order to talk before Troy arrived.

‘Where were you going in such a hurry, Elsa? Christopher said that you seemed nervous when you were talking on the phone with Erika... And he heard the word abortion!’ She looked at me angrily, waiting for a convincing answer. I burst into tears.

‘Sorry little sister, I'm sorry! How stupid, how stupid! We were going to the abortion clinic, I was confused... I've always been scared of being a mother.’

‘Why, Elsa? You’re with a man who loves you, who is well set up, he’ll give you work... It would have been so stupid!’

‘Of course, I realize it's crazy, to avoid motherhood as if it were the plague; I had this idea in my head that it was a bad thing... I was so anxious. And Erika... she was so persuasive!’

‘Ok, calm down, you're fine now, everything will be OK.’

‘Oh my God, poor Erika! I shouldn’t have called her!’ Suddenly I felt horribly guilty.

‘No, don’t feel bad, she was at the wheel and she convinced you to do something that was wrong, without telling your partner, running away from your sister... thank goodness you didn’t turn off your phone, the police phoned me as soon as they saw my calls.’

‘Yes, thank goodness.’ At that moment Troy came running in. He saw me with my sister and with my arm bandaged.

‘Sweetie! What happened? Oh God!’ He hugged me; I was drying my tears with a handkerchief.

‘I'm fine darling, just a minor dislocation, I’m all right.’

‘Thanks for telling me so quickly, Tatiana,’ he said. The two of them were standing there looking at me, waiting for me to say something. Troy had a mixture of curiosity and concern in his eyes.

‘I'm pregnant, my love! We're going to be parents!’ With that he hugged me, he grabbed me by the waist, lifting me up, giving me kiss after kiss, more and more, and another one! At the same time he was spinning me round, celebrating the good news.

‘I love you Elsa, we’re going to be so happy!’

That's how destiny prevented me from doing something stupid. We celebrated Christmas in style - I was very beautiful and pregnant, and in the early months of the following year, we prepared for two weddings!

I did well not to reject being a mother; it's as if I almost prevented myself from being a woman... And Erika recovered, fortunately.

One day, Troy and I had a conversation:

‘Honey, do you really want to have our baby?’ He asked with a very serious face; he needed to clear up his doubts with me.

‘It's the thing I want most in the world, to have our child. And you?’

‘Me too, of course! But... since you were about to abort, maybe you're not sure if you want to be my partner... I don’t know if you’re going along with it because of my financial position, I have to be honest with you.’

‘I love you, Troy! What I did was the biggest mistake of my life, it was because I was nervous, I thought you wouldn’t take the news well...’

‘Why, Elsa, why? I was the one who wanted us to live together, why would I have taken it badly?’

‘I know, I know, I'm embarrassed.’ I looked down, apologetic. ‘It was also because I called my friend, who is worse than me! You know, when it comes to having children. I... I've always been independent, trying to postpone these life experiences, as if being a woman would enslave me!’

Troy lifted my chin and kissed me, then asked me, ‘are you afraid of losing your freedom?’ He looked into my eyes.

‘No, being a mother is what I desire most, every day I think about how fascinating it will be to start our own family, to educate our children and to see them grow up. You know? What I'm afraid of is that I won’t have time to focus on it.’

‘If that's what you want most, I have a solution.’ He said decisively with raised eyebrows.

  ‘Tell me.’

‘I'll pay you a good salary. Just to perform a single task; focus on our baby while I run my business. If you ever get tired of it, we'll look for another job in one of my companies and we'll hire an assistant. What do you say?’

‘And can’t you come too, both of us together?’

‘Do you want Dallas to run the business? ’

  ‘Maybe not! Hahaha.’

  ‘Well... What do you say?’

‘What do I say? What do I say? I don’t think I would feel fulfilled answering calls, or carrying packages, or doing the accounting, or whatever... there is no other job that inspires me more than to educate our children and see them grow.’ We kissed - a passionate, long kiss on the sofa. Then I took a breath and added:

‘... and I want to go on vacation to the Maldives!’

‘Hahaha! Of course. And if you ever want a change, you just have to ask me.’

‘To hire a stranger to educate our children when neither of us can be at home? No way! Either we make space in our agenda or nothing, that's what parents are for!’

I took my future husband by the ears and pulled him to my lips. ‘Come here, you're mine, miiiine!’
