Taking My Life Back
Page 17
Each person who donated to The One Fund and my outrageous stack of medical bills!
My prayer warriors and supporters from around the world.
And finally, every single person who risked their life to save ours on April 15, 2013.
These are the people I continue to take my life back for every single day.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
From Anthony
I am grateful for having had the opportunity to tell Rebekah’s story and to acquaint readers with her lovely personality and her depth of spiritual devotion. The challenge of maintaining one’s personal faith in the face of terrible and destructive events is one that defeats the efforts of so many beleaguered people. Although Rebekah has traveled through many of the same dark corridors, her faith has sustained her and proven its worth. It is my strongest hope for the readers of this book that they will take strength from her story and that it will help sustain them when the inevitable catastrophes of life befall them.
I thank Revell for their faith in this story, and Revell editor Vicki Crumpton for her exceptional work, done with equal doses of talent and sensitivity. And, as always, my gratitude goes out to Sharlene Martin of Martin Literary Management for her superlative efforts in getting this story out to the world.
Rebekah Gregory is a woman and mother whose life was forever changed due to the bombing at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. This act of terrorism may have claimed her leg but it could not claim her spirit. She is now a powerful motivational speaker who encourages people all across the country with her message of faith and hope. She lives in Houston, Texas, with her son, daughter, and college-sweetheart-turned-husband.
