  About the Author

  Brian Douglas Tennyson is a graduate of the University of Toronto and the University of London. He taught history for many years at Cape Breton University in Sydney, Nova Scotia, where he is now emeritus professor of history. He has written or edited more than a dozen books, including most recently Percy Willmot: A Cape Bretoner at War, Merry Hell: The Story of the 25th Battalion 1914–1919, and The Canadian Experience of the Great War: A Guide to Memoirs.
