Jane’s reply made Erin smile. Please be careful, my love. I can’t wait to see you and tell you how much I love you in person. More importantly, I want to show you how much I love you.

Before Jane could knock on Erin’s door it opened. “Hi,” Erin said shyly.

Jane walked inside and closed the door behind her. Her lips found Erin’s and she kissed her softly. Her lips went to her neck and her light kisses made Erin tremble. As Jane’s lips went to her earlobe, she whispered, “I love you, Erin.”

Erin held Jane at arm’s length and looked deeply into her eyes. “I love you too. I never thought I would be this happy again. Thank you for loving me.”

“You don’t have to thank me, Erin. You are so easy to love. You stirred my heart from the moment I looked into your eyes.”

  “You mean at the accident?”

Jane nodded. “Yes. You kept me calm and I could tell you were such a considerate person.” Jane captured the soft pliant lips with her own. “Take me to bed, Erin,” she whispered in her ear.

Erin took her hand and led her down the hallway. As they reached the room, Erin’s hand dropped as she pulled the shades to leave just enough light in the room. Now she swept the throw pillows off the bed and turned down the covers. Erin returned to Jane’s side and gently kissed her mouth before reaching for the hem of her t-shirt. It came off with one swift movement and then her lips went to the skin above her breasts. Her hands shakily went to the waistband of Jane’s shorts. “So beautiful,” she whispered as her lips kissed her stomach as she knelt before her. Slowly the shorts came off as Jane stepped out of her sandals. Erin kissed Jane’s core through her panties before she eased them off and onto the floor. Jane reached for Erin’s shirt, but her hands were stopped as she was eased over to the side of the bed. She sat down as Erin removed her clothes.

Jane swallowed hard watching the woman she desired take off her clothes. “Oh God,” she moaned as she stared at Erin. Jane eased back until she was in the middle of the bed waiting for Erin to follow her. She now watched as Erin got onto the bed and crawled over to her with desire showing in her eyes. “Yes,” she whispered watching a grin appear on Erin’s face. “I love you, Erin.”

“Oh, baby, I love you so much.” Erin kissed her ankles and then her calves. It was a slow ascent as she kissed every inch of her leg. She stopped at Jane’s core and took a swipe with her tongue across her engorged clit. Jane’s body jumped in surprise and trembled. Erin searched Jane’s eyes before she continued leaving tiny kisses across her stomach and between her breasts. Erin’s arms remained stiff as she stared down into Jane’s face. “I promise I won’t do anything that you don’t want me to do.”

“Erin, I want you to do everything to me. Show me what I’ve been missing. Show me how much you love me.”

Erin grinned before taking her mouth. Her lips caressed her neck that was now exposed as Jane threw back her head and closed her eyes. Erin was now kissing her breasts. Jane looked down at her lover begging with her eyes for more. Erin needed no more encouragement and suckled one breast and toyed with her other nipple with her hand.

“Yes,” Jane moaned as her head was tossed back and forth. “More,” she said in a low whisper.

Erin pressed her core against a needy Jane. They moved together finding a rhythm that gave them both the contact they desired. Over and over they moved against each other as the sweat built on their skin.

“Please, Erin, I need you inside,” Jane begged in wonderment.

Erin shifted her body just enough to enter her with one finger. Jane’s walls sucked her in deeper. Erin added another finger to the loud moan coming from her lover. Her mouth moved down to her core again. She licked Jane’s juices as her fingers moved in and out of her. Erin now felt Jane begin to tense as her orgasm was close. “Come for me, baby,” she said, capturing Jane’s glazed eyes.

Her body rose off the bed and she screamed Erin’s name over and over again. When her breathing finally returned to normal she reached for Erin. “I never dreamed it could be that good.” She squeezed Erin close. “I only hope that I can make you feel as good as I do right now.”

“Honey, you’ve had me on perpetual arousal. I think if you lay a hand on me, I will come immediately.”

“Well, let me test that theory,” Jane said giggling as she pushed Erin onto her back. Her hands were everywhere on Erin’s body. It was if her hands were trying to memorize Erin’s skin. When her mouth sucked her nipple, Erin’s body came up to meet her tongue. Erin’s reaction spurred Jane on to move lower as her hands remained holding the small breasts against her palms. There was no hesitation as she tasted Erin for the first time. The scent and desire drove her on and Erin’s movement told her she was doing a good job. Fingers found her opening and she delved into the wetness. She could now feel her juices on her hand as she pumped Erin with love and intensity. Her tongue clamped onto her throbbing clit and sent Erin over the edge.

“My lord, Jane,” Erin puffed out a breath. “Are you sure you’ve never done that before?”

Jane crawled up her body. “Am I a natural?” she asked with a giggle.

Erin grinned and nodded. “The best I’ve ever had.”

Jane lay in the crook of Erin’s arm. “My grandmother told me that making love with someone you love is always better.”

“When did she tell you this?” Erin asked with a laugh.

“When I told her I was afraid to disappoint you.”

Erin kissed Jane’s forehead. “I think you can tell her that no one was disappointed. As a matter of fact, I was very, very pleased.”

Jane laughed and rolled onto her side so she could face Erin. Her hand came up and brushed her bangs off her forehead. “I can’t believe you are a real blond.”

Erin rolled onto her side, too. “Was there any doubt?”

Jane shrugged. “I never met a real blond before or one that I believed was a real blond.”

“You believe it now because the drapes match the carpet,” Erin said with a laugh as Jane nodded.

“I’ve seen plenty of blonds at the gym, but their carpet was always a different color.”

“What about you?” Erin looked down at Jane.

“My hair is a few shades lighter than my natural color. I started going grey at twenty five and I decided to lighten it up.”

“I like it,” Erin said, sliding her hands through the short locks. Her hand went to her core. “I like this very much, too.”

“You keep your hand there any longer, we are never going to get out of this bed and have something to eat.”

“What time do you have to be home?” Erin asked, running her fingers over Jane’s stomach.

“I told my grandmother I wouldn’t be home tonight. She knows I’m in good hands.” Jane grin turned serious as Erin moved her fingers lower.

“I think food can wait a little longer.” Her fingers delved into the folds. “Don’t you?”

Jane’s answer was lost in a deep kiss.

  CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Saturday morning both women were still sleeping as the clock struck ten o’clock. It was only the ringing of Jane’s cellphone that brought her out of a deep sleep.

“Hello,” she said, not even looking at the screen.

  “Hello, honey,” the voice said.

  “Mom?” Jane sat up immediately.

“Yes, Jane, it’s me. You sound like I just woke you up.”

“Uh, no, mom, I’m up.” Erin turned in her sleep and mumbled something.

“I just wanted to let you know that your dad and I arrived last night.”

“I thought you weren’t coming in until next week.” Erin was now trying to tuck herself next to Jane.

“The heat got so bad that we decided to come up earlier. Why don’t you come over for breakfast?”

  Jane didn’t answer.

“You can bring Erin with you. We both would like to meet her. Your grandmother has had nothing but good things to say about her.

Erin sat up and blinked her eyes. “What’s going on?”

Jane turned and covered the phone. “My mother is on the phone.”

“You know, dear, covering the phone doesn’t work. I’m sorry that we woke you both up, but come to breakfast.”

“Mom, give us a half hour or so.”

“No problem. We can eat when you get here.”

  Jane disconnected the call. “Crap.”

“What’s wrong? Erin asked reaching for Jane.

“My parents are here. They want us to come to breakfast.”

  “Okay.”

“Aren’t you nervous?” Jane asked, starting to panic as she crawled out of the bed.

Erin scratched her head watching Jane begin to panic. “Now I am.”

“Come on,” Jane said as she pulled the covers off of Erin. “I told her we’d be there in a half hour.

“Can’t I meet them another day.” Jane stood there nude with her hands on her hips. Erin was now having a hard time concentrating as she looked at her firm body.

  “Please, Erin.”

Erin’s mind was heading south so she nodded in agreement. “We need to take a shower and get the sex smell off our bodies.”

“I like this smell,” Erin said reaching for Jane, but she was too fast.

Jane was in the shower before Erin slowly made her way into the room. She pulled the shower curtain back and stepped into the tub. Her body moved closer until her front was pressed against Jane’s back. Jane turned so quickly, she nearly knocked Erin off her feet.

“I’m sorry, honey, but we don’t have time.”

“Will you come back here tonight?” Erin asked kissing Jane’s shoulder softly.

  “I have work tomorrow.”

“I know. I promise to get you to bed extra early,” Erin said with a glint in her eyes.

“Yeah, I know if I stay here I’ll never get any sleep,” she said with a laugh.

A pout appeared on Erin’s face. She hoped her disappointment would change Jane’s mind.

“How about we see how it goes today.”

A smile returned to Erin’s face. “Fair enough.”

Erin and Jane walked toward the front door holding each other’s hands as if their lives depended on it. “Are you ready?” Jane asked before she opened the door.

“I’ve never met the parents before. I hope they don’t hate me.”

“They’ll love you as much as I do.” Jane kissed her lips softly. Before she moved away, the front door opened and her father was standing there. “Hi, Dad.”

“Jane,” he said pulling her into a hug.

“Dad, this is Erin Walters. Erin, this is my dad Bill.”

Erin’s hand came out. “It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Simmons.”

Bill Simmons took Erin’s hand. “I understand you are dating my daughter.”

“Yes, sir,” Erin answered, swallowing hard.

Abby came out of the kitchen. “Bill, leave the poor woman alone.” She turned to Erin and gave her a hug. “Thank you for coming over.”

“Thanks for having me, Abby,” Erin said as a woman who looked just like Jane entered the foyer.

  “Hello, Erin, I’m Helen Simmons.”

“Hello, Mrs. Simmons.” Erin looked at mother then daughter. “I can’t believe how much you two resemble each other. You look more like sisters.”

“Oh, this one is a charmer. Isn’t she, Jane?” Helen Simmons asked with a chuckle, but her eyes never left Erin’s face.

“Yep, that’s how she won me over.” Jane took Erin’s hand. “Someone promised us breakfast.”

“Yes. Breakfast is ready. I’m sure you two girls worked up a big appetite,” Helen mocked.

“Mom,” Jane scolded. “Don’t scare her away when I just found her.”

“Yes, Helen. Leave the girls alone,” Abby came to their defense. She knew Helen wasn’t upset that Jane was dating a woman. It was just that this was the first time Jane showed any interest in anyone and she was enjoying every minute.

“So Abby tells us that you two met when Jane had a car accident?” Bill asked looking at Erin.

“Yes, sir, I was the first officer on the scene.”

“Abby tells me you took very good care of our daughter until the EMT’s showed up.”

Erin shrugged. “I was just doing my job.”

Now Bill wondered if Jane’s fascination with the woman was nothing more than hero worship. He probed further. “How did you two meet again after the accident?”

“I didn’t know your daughter owned my regular place for breakfast until I saw her in there one day.”

“It was kismet for these two,” Abby said patting Erin’s hand.

After breakfast, Erin pulled Jane away from the rest of the family. “I’m going to take off so you can spend time with your parents.”

“You don’t have to leave, Erin,” Jane’s eyes were pleading with Erin to stay.

“I’ll come back later if you want me to.”

“Of course, I do. I’ll call you later.” Jane stole a kiss before they went back into the kitchen.

“Thank you for breakfast and it was a pleasure meeting you both. I want you to know that I am in love with your daughter and I won’t do anything to hurt her.”

“Come back for dinner, Erin,” Abby called out before she left the kitchen.

“Thanks, Abby,” Erin answered with a slight bow, but she was backing out of the kitchen slowly.

Jane walked Erin to the front door. “My car is still at your apartment.”

“Well, if you stay at my place you’ll have a vehicle to get to work.” Erin offered with a grin.

“We will see, blondie. I can’t believe you are leaving me alone with them.”

“You may as well get all their questions out of the way today.” She moved closer. “I just hope they don’t talk you out of seeing me again.”

“That, my love will never happen.” She kissed Erin and didn’t care who was looking.

  CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Jane went back to the kitchen and took a seat. “Okay, you can start your interrogation.”

Helen laughed. “Erin seems very nice.”

“I just worry about her occupation,” Bill said quickly. “As a police officer she has to be aggressive. She’s not aggressive with you, is she?”

Jane laughed. “Erin is the sweetest woman I’ve ever met.”

“How long have you been seeing her?” Helen asked.

“About a month, but I wasn’t ready to start dating her until about a week ago.”

“And you’re already sleeping with her?” Helen said sounding critical. “I’m sorry.” Her eyes blinked rapidly. “I didn’t mean to say it that way.”

“Mom, you might think we jumped into bed too soon, but I was already in love with Erin. More importantly, Erin was in love with me, too— is in love with me,” she corrected. Jane never thought she would ever have to justify loving someone to her parents. She always thought that she would spend the rest of her life alone. “Can’t you just be happy for me?” Jane asked as her voice broke with emotion.

“Of course we’re happy for you, Jane. We’ve always wanted you to be happy. Your father and I are glad that you have someone in your life.” Helen looked at her daughter. “Were there other women in your life before Erin?”

Jane glanced at Abby knowing at least she didn’t divulge all her secrets. “No, Mom.”

“So Erin is the first woman you’ve ever been with?”

Jane nodded, but didn’t respond. How could she tell her parents that Erin was the first woman to kiss her, the first woman to ever touch her? No, she couldn’t say the words.

“So this might be just a summer fling,” Helen added.

“No, Mom, this is not a summer fling. I found the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. I don’t want to be with anyone else,” Jane sighed loudly, “is that too hard to understand?”

“Don’t you want to see who
else is out there?” Helen asked cautiously.

“No, Mother, I don’t. Erin has been dating women since she was sixteen years old. I’m only the second woman she’s fallen in love with.”

“What happened to the other woman?” Bill asked quickly.

“She left Erin for a job up north.”

“Is that what she told you?”

  “Yes.”

Helen believed there had to be more to this story then what Jane was telling her.

“So you don’t object to me being with a woman?” Jane sighed sadly. “You just want me to play the field instead of being with the best woman out there. You want me to give up a woman who treats me with respect? Who makes me laugh? That’s what you want me to do?”

“Well,” Helen said. “What about her family? What education does she have?”

“I’ve heard enough.” Jane went up the stairs and started packing an overnight bag. Then she picked up her phone. “Can you pick me up?”

“Are you okay?” Erin asked hearing that Jane was crying.

  “I will be.”

“I’ll be there in a few minutes.”

Jane was waiting on the porch for Erin when her grandmother came outside.

“I wish you wouldn’t run off,” Abby said touching Jane’s arm.

“I have to get away from them for a while, Gran. I can’t believe their questions and wanting me to play the field.”

“They are only here for a month and then they’ll be back down in Florida. Can’t you try to get along while they are here?”

“It’s hard, Gran, but I’ll try. Tonight, I just have to leave.” She kissed her grandmother’s cheek. “I’ll come back tomorrow after work.” Jane smiled. “I promise.”

  “Okay, dear.”

Erin pulled into the driveway. “Thanks for your help, Gran.”

Once Jane got into the car, Erin took her hand. “I’m sorry, Jane.”
