He stared at her, his eyes glimmering with hope.

  “Sid?” she asked.

“Toni, I’m glad I found you, at last,” he said.

“I’m actually not that hard to find,” Toni said coldly.

“I know. I needed some time, to think.”

“Yes, I’m getting kind of used to that.”

“I’m really sorry,” Sid said, holding her’ hands. “I need to explain.”

“It’s all right,” Toni said. “You don’t need to explain anything.”

“But I do. I need to tell you how I feel. I know what’s wrong with me now.”

  “Well?”

“It’s like this…” Sid said. “I’ll spare you the long thoughts and the moment of epiphany. Suffice to say, I realized that I was jealous.”

  “Jealous?” Toni asked. “Of what?”

“That you cared enough to bring those people back to life.” Sid’s voice trembled. “What I would have given…”

“Oh,” Toni said, suddenly understanding. “Of course.”

She hugged Sid and he cried in her arms. She rubbed his back, imagining white-light energy flowing through him and relieving him of all his painful memories of love lost.

When he finally was able to pull himself together, he looked up at her and laughed self-consciously.

“Look at me, crying like a girl.”

“Well, you’re hurt. It’s pretty normal.”

“I guess. But boy, do I feel better now. Like something has lifted and maybe I’m finally able to move on,” Sid said.

“A good cry can do that.” Toni smiled.

“Say, now that we got that out of the way, what do you say we go dancing?”

  “I’d love to.”

They held hands as they walked back toward the town.

  * * *

The Dance Cave was about half-full. The people filling the dance floor were flirting and gyrating to lively beats of rock and roll. Toni and Sid checked their coats and walked towards the bar.

“I’ve been dying to dance,” Toni said. “I’m glad I ran into you.”

“It’s a good thing to have in common. We get to have fun and exercise.”

They grabbed their beer and hit the dance floor. Since there were few people in the club, they were able to put their drinks on a table while they danced. Toni let the music fill her as she moved her hips and hands to the steady bass of an old Rolling Stones tune. She imagined herself in some Louisiana Bayou writhing around a fire pit. She looked over at Sid, who was also caught up in the hypnotic beat. They locked eyes and grinned at each other.

Toni’s heart raced as she quickened the pace of her dancing. She gyrated closer to Sid and pushed her hips toward him. He thrust his pelvis back at her.

Toni laughed as she stepped around him. He played along, thrusting his hands in the air. As Toni danced, she recognized a couple dancing near them.

It was Violet and Norm. She nodded toward them. Sid looked over and raised his eyebrows, and Toni leaned into him.

“How can they be out dancing so soon?” she asked. “They should take weeks to recover from that experience.”

“Apparently not,” Sid said. “They don’t have a scratch on them.”

“It can’t be,” Toni said as she danced a little closer toward them. Sid frowned but followed her lead nonetheless.

“Toni!” Violet cried as she flung her arms around her. Toni hugged her back and heard Norm call her name. When she pulled back, Norm was hugging Sid.

“I’m so glad to see you tonight.” Violet smiled. “We wanted to thank you.”

  “It’s okay,” Toni said.

“No, really. You must be something special to do what you did for us.”

  “So you remember it all?”

“Only little bits and pieces. Maggie and Weldon filled us in on the rest last night,” Violet said as she led Toni from the dance floor. Sid and Norm followed. The women continued to talk at the bar, ordering more beer and staring at each other.

“Look at you,” Toni said as she stared at Violet’s over-spilling cleavage.

“I know. I look better than I did before. Young and perky. Like a teenager. I have energy like one too. Whatever spell that was, it’s amazing. I’ve never felt this way. Not on drugs. Not on anything.”

“It was interesting, that’s for sure.” Toni nodded. She looked around, hoping no one was listening to their conversation.

“But enough about that, let’s talk about more pleasant things,” Violet urged.

  “Of course.”

“Where do you practice?” Violet asked.

“Practice what?” Toni asked as a million thoughts raced through her head. She wasn’t involved in any activities at the moment and barely made it to the gym.

  “Your craft. The craft.”

“Oh, that. Well, I’m part of a circle that meets during moon phases and sometimes other occasions.”

  “Can anyone go?”

“Very rarely. There is the odd celebration that is opened up to the public. Halloween and Solstice events are a couple.”

“Really? Those big events are part of your thing?” Violet asked.

“Depends which ones you go to, but most of the town goes to Lucy’s when they are public.”

“So you’re part of the inner circle,” Violet said. “That’s so interesting. That’s probably why we summoned so many demons that time. The first time we did it, is was just the two of us. Our experience was strange, but nothing like what happened that night.”

“What was it like?” Toni asked. “To die?”

“I don’t remember at all. I don’t remember dying or even hurting. I was having endless orgasms, and then I was waking up in my living room with you guys. It seemed like minutes, but I guess it was days.”

“That’s right. You guys were dead and that was that. But we brought you back. Lucy helped.”

“I’m so grateful,” Violet said as she kissed Toni on the lips. Toni pressed Violet’s lips apart and slipped her tongue into Violet’s mouth. As they enjoyed each other, Sid and Norm looked on.

“I guess they’re happy to see each other.” Sid grinned.

Norm smiled and tossed his long, brown hair. His hand crawled along Sid’s thigh. “I’m happy to see you too.”

Sid nodded and drank from his beer. “I know you are,”

Toni turned to Sid. “Do you want to go to Violet and Norm’s house tonight?” she asked, pulling him away from them.

“Are you nuts? I’ve seen enough of that place the last couple of days that I never want to see it again.”

“But if we don’t go, they’ll think there’s something wrong.”

“Toni, there is something wrong. This whole town. You’re all nuts. I feel like I live in the Twilight Zone sometimes.”

“You didn’t answer the question,” Toni persisted. “Do you want to go party with them? They promised no spells this time. Just wine and fun.”

Sid shook his head. “I don’t know, Toni. I don’t know if I can handle any more weird stuff happening. My heart just isn’t that strong.”

“I’m curious to see if there is such a thing as a little bit of normal with them,” Toni said, rubbing his’ arm.

“You just have the hots for Violet, don’t you?” Sid half teased. “I’m just the decoy so you and her can get together.”

Toni pouted. “Oh, don’t be silly. If I wanted Violet I’d just go to her without you.”

“Well, shit, I sure don’t know how to take that,” Sid said, drinking his beer.

“Take it how you will. I want both of you, Norm too. All three of you. Ultimate sexual sensation,” Toni whispered. “I know it can happen.”

Sid smiled. “If it makes you happy, then I guess I’ll be happy too.”

  * * *

Toni and Sid sat on overstuffed love seats in the living room of Violet and Norm’s home. The gothic-style room seemed even more ghastly and creepy than the previous time Toni had been eagerly antici
pating a night of fun. Violet and Norm sat across from them on another couch. Violet sipped from a large golden goblet while Toni held a smaller version of it.

“Let’s toast to friends,” Violet said, raising her glass.

Toni lifted her hand and clinked her glass against Sid’s.

“To friends, old and new,” Toni said, looking around the room. She had, in fact, known Violet and Norm longer than she had Sid just from having seen them around and knowing they existed. Yet Sid was her boyfriend. It all seemed so strange.

“I like making new friends. It doesn’t matter how we’re drawn together,” Toni said. Sid nodded as did Norm.

Violet smiled. “Some friends take longer to get to know than others. But that’s okay. We all have our own time to reveal ourselves.”

Toni turned to Violet. “I’m looking forward to exploring you inside and out all over again.”

Norm turned down the lights and put on soft mood music. Everyone disrobed, and the men availed themselves of the condoms in the bowls on the coffee table.

Violet kissed Toni on the mouth while the men watched. Norm went over to a cabinet in the corner of the room and opened a drawer. He pulled out a flogger.

“Here you are, Mistress Violet,” he said as he handed it to her. She grinned as she hefted the handle in her delicate hand.

“Have you been a naughty girl?” Violet asked Toni.

“Yes, Mistress Violet,” Toni said softly in a solemn voice, going down on her hands and knees. “I’m a very naughty girl.”

Violet brought the flogger down several times on Toni’s round butt. Toni looked at Sid. His eyes wide with lust as he watched them.

Violet rubbed Toni’s ass with her hands. “Sid, I want you to come here and kiss Toni’s ass,” she commanded.

Sid went over to Toni and kissed her ass cheeks softly multiple times. Norm kissed Toni’s face. Their lips met and parted. Norm’s breath was quick and impatient.

Before long, Toni was lying on a bed of pillows with Norm’s cock in her mouth and Sid’s cock in her pussy. Her fingers were deep inside of Violet, who squirmed as she kissed Norm.

The night passed quickly, and the constant slapping of cocks in cunts and the fondling of breasts grew more urgent until one by one, each person collapsed in a happy heap of spent energy.

As Toni lay gasping on the couch, Violet eyed her, as she dipped her fingers into her own pussy.

“Are you ready to go again?” Violet asked, licking her fingers.

Toni shook her head. “I can’t, the sun is coming up. I have to work…” she said feebly. Her pussy ached, and her breasts were bruised. Violet and Norm were energetic, enthusiastic lovers who, it seemed, had no intention of stopping.

Norm crawled over to Violet and shoved his erect dick into her ass and began to fuck her harshly. Violet cried out in joy.

“Fuck me, Norm, Fuck me,” she yelled.

Toni watched in amazement as Norm fucked her. “Aren’t you tired, Norm?” she asked.

“We told you, we’re like teenagers. Horny teenagers,” he panted, not losing a stroke. “We can’t stop fucking. Or rather, we don’t want to stop fucking.”

He came inside Violet’s ass, grabbing her hips to slam her into him as he enjoyed each spasm with a groan.

Toni stood up, taking Sid’s hand. “We have to go.”

“That’s okay,” Violet said as she fingered her pussy. “Have a good day at work. If you want to fuck later, you know where we are.”

“I’ll keep that in mind,” Toni said as she pulled Sid out the door. “I have to get home fast, Sid. ““I need to get some sleep.”

“I’ll see you later,” Sid said. “For sure.”

“Yes, for sure,” Toni said, kissing him full on the mouth.

  Chapter Fourteen

The moon in Cancer makes you long for security.

“Toni, I really need to talk to you about something,” Sid said as he opened the door for Toni.

She walked into his loft apartment and looked around. The place was piled from floor to ceiling with shelves packed with blown glass pieces—animals, bowls, balls and other assorted shapes. He also had a lot of books and CDs. In the center of the room was a huge flat-screen television with several chairs and a small love seat facing it. Over on what she assumed was the dining table were a torch and several pieces of glass.

“My, I didn’t know how incredibly talented you are,” she said as she studied the pieces on the shelves.

“I don’t know if I’m talented, but I like to keep myself amused. It was a long and cold winter,” Sid said. “Very long and very cold.”

“These are gorgeous. I can’t believe how delicate some of these pieces are,” she said. “You should have a store or something.”

“I’ve thought about stores, but I’m not interested in running a store. I don’t have the mentality.”

“I’m not talking about you running a store. You should be able to place some of these pieces in stores around Hermana. Commission-based or something. Whatever the other artists do.”

“I guess I should. I’ve not really had the patience to figure out it all out.”

“I can help you. We can make it a project over the next six months. We can take pictures of some of them and bring others with us as samples when we go talk to shop owners.”

“I guess...” Sid said. “But I didn’t really want you to come over because of that.”

“Oh? What is it you’d like, then?” Toni asked.

“First of all, can I get you a beer?”

“Always,” Toni said, going over to sit on the love seat. She leaned back, looking around the room. The ceilings were high, and she could see the street from the large windows that lined one side of the apartment. The streetlights were already on.

Sid brought her a beer and sat down beside her on the couch. “I have something I want to ask you, and I don’t know how, so I’m just going to spit it out.”

“What is it? You sound so serious.”

“Well, I am serious. I think I could get serious about you, but I need to know some things first.”

“Like what?” Toni drank deeply from her beer, wondering if Sid was about to blow her off. His eyes were dark and intense, and his toes tapped the floor.

“Well... there’s always all this talk of love and couples and partnerships. I mean, life in general. Shows like The Bachelor and Blind Date. Humans being coupled.”

  “And?”

“I wonder how do you feel about being coupled? Chained to one dude?”

  “You mean like you?

“Me or anyone else. Are you a one-man gal?”

“I do have experience at it, yes. I’m not all about freestylin’.”

“Well, I always thought I didn’t really care. But I’m finding, well, I want to get to know you, Toni,” Sid said.

  “Isn’t that what we’re doing?”

“I mean really get to know you. Personally. Just you.”

“So what are you trying to say?” Toni asked.

“I was wondering if it’s all right if it’s just you and me for a while?”

  “What do you mean?”

“I just want us to date each other. I don’t want to go to swingers clubs and all of that. At least, not just yet.” Sid paced around the room in a circle while Toni stared at him. She weighed his words, but her decision didn’t need to wait.

“I would like that,” Toni said. “Just you and me.”

Sid smiled. “Really?” he asked. “You mean it?”

“Yes, I mean it. I would love to be exclusive with you, if that’s what you’re asking.”

Sid took her hands and kissed her on the cheek. “It’s not even so much exclusive. I mean, I just want to get to know you better. I think if now and again, later on if we should happen to stumble upon an orgy, then we shouldn’t feel bad about taking advantage of it. But I also feel, right now, that maybe we should learn more about each other first before seeking out others all the time.”
/>
Toni took his face in her hands and kissed him on the lips. “That’s the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me,” she said. “I’m not such a nympho that I have to fuck everyone massively all the time. I just like to keep my options open.”

“I like having my options open as well,” Sid said. “Believe me. I’m happy to experiment. I always will be.”

“Good. Then we understand each other,” Toni crawled on top of him, spreading her legs to sit on his lap.

He hugged her to him, his lips searching out hers.

“We are going to be great together,” she said. “You’’ll see.”

Toni heard his footsteps in the hallway and grinned mischievously as she listened for his tell-tale knock. At last it came, and she could barely suppress her giggles. She tiptoed over to the door and gently opened it, slipping behind it. Sid stepped inside.

“Put ’em up,” Toni said as she stepped out. Sid put his hands in the air as he stared at her. She wore a tiny, white, leather-fringed bra with matching bikini panties. A cowboy hat was loosely cocked on her head and a holster was slung low on her hips. A flogger and a crop were hooked into the belt. Her thigh-high boots were red snakeskin and perfectly matched the shade of her richly lined lips. She tilted her hips out lasciviously. The thick perfume of incense filled the apartment.

“You’re in big trouble now, cowboy,” she gloated as she kicked the door shut with her spiked heel. She pressed the gun against his head.

“What do you want me to do, Ms. Cowgirl?”

“First, you are not dressed properly. You must go into that room with these items and put them on. Do not return until you are properly clothed.”

Toni handed Sid two shopping bags. He took them into her bathroom. Toni went over to the couch and lay on it, idly admiring her toy gun.

Sid returned wearing leather chaps, a black-and-white fur vest and a large cowboy hat. His cock was neatly encased in a black leather G-string and bulged pleasingly between his legs. Black cowboy boots with spurs adorned his feet.

“I’m ready to rustle up the cattle as you wish, ma’am,” he said with a bow.

Toni pulled out her crop and swished it in the air as she stared at him. “I’m ready for a little ride, cowboy,” she said as she stood up to face him. She pointed to the floor. “Get down on the ground so I can ride you.”
