“Fuck,” Mason groaned loud, dragging the word out. A flush of heat simultaneously hit her chest and core. Her inner walls trembled around his cock. With a growl, Mason clamped down on her neck, his sharp canines biting into her flesh, marking her with his DNA. The pain and pleasure blew her mind, and she convulsed around him, squeezing him to the point that she thought he’d break. He thrust several more times, prolonging her orgasm, and then stilled as he exploded in waves inside her, fulfilling their mating bond.

  Epilogue

  Two weeks later.

“This is all because of you, Neoma,” her father spoke with admiration in his voice. She looked around the bar room at her Pack as they interacted with their new Pack members. The sight made her happy. Soft music filled the background. The lights on the high ceiling gave the room a soft glow. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Neoma felt safe. She felt at home. “Your mother would have been so proud,” her father whispered, softly.

Neoma smiled and hugged him. “Would you like her necklace back?” she asked. He shook his head.

“I was going to give it you anyway. Keep it. It’s what your mother would have wanted,” he replied. “You’ll make a great Luna. Just like she did.” He gave her a kiss on the forehead and made his way over to Amelia.

Neoma leaned back against the settee. Her eyes landed on Courtney and Wade near the bar. Courtney smiled and blushed at something Wade said. Next to them was Jonas. Sian was sitting on his lap with her arms around his shoulders. The newly mated four looked happy. It had been an odd coincidence that the three of them had found their fated mates in the same Pack. It was a good thing too. It had helped bring their Packs together.

Mason’s Pack and her own had now become the Tribal Knight Pack. It was something Neoma was still getting used to. Amongst other things, such as having a doting mate who could read her emotions if she wasn’t concealing them, due to their mating bond. She could also communicate telepathically now that they were mated. Even if she hadn’t been in the same pack.

Her eyes travelled to Mason as he approached her, strolling confidently through the crowded room. His black shirt and dark blue jeans clung to his tall, lean, muscular body with each step. His dark blonde hair had fallen over his forehead, hiding his green and grey eyes. Neoma’s hand twitched with the need to push it away.

As he passed her father, he put his hand out and slapped him on the back in greeting. Her father smiled. Mason not wanting to kill her father was another thing she was getting used to. Her heart would always fill up with warmth when she saw her two favourite men talking and smiling at each other.

Now that the truth was out, and Dwain was dead, Mason was like a different person. He was constantly making sure that Neoma was happy. And she was constantly telling him that she was. He was really trying to make up for everything that had happened. In truth, he already had. But he didn’t think saving her life was enough. He wanted to make sure it was perfect too.

Locking eyes with her, she saw the hungry, possessive gleam in them. It was a look she was becoming familiar with. And the new one she kept seeing. It was an emotion she hadn’t named yet, but it appeared often, especially when they made love. And that was every night. Mason was like a starving predator in bed. The sex was amazing. She’d heard it was when done with a fated mate, but hadn’t believed it at the time. They’d also mated in wolf form. It had taken some persuading from Mason to finally get her to shift again after her first painful experience, and when she did, they had one hell of a wild night together. He had given her incentive to want to shift in the future.

She looked up at him when he stopped in front of her. “You’re being very quiet over here,” he observed. “Are you okay?” Neoma smiled. She’d heard the same question dozens of times over the last two weeks.

“I’m fine, Mason,” she assured him. He sat down next to her and pulled her onto his lap, lifting her as if she weighed nothing. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders.

“It makes me happy seeing our people like this,” she murmured.

“You said our people,” Mason whispered, his eyes filling with delight. She nodded, realising that had been the first time. The unknown emotion she’d seen often flickered across his face. He pulled her head forward and captured her lips in a soft, sweet, sensual kiss. She opened her mouth to his exploring tongue and shivered.

“I love you,” his husky, quiet declaration made Neoma freeze. When he pulled his head back to look at her, she finally realised what the emotion on his face was. It was pure, breathtaking love. Tears welled up in her eyes. Her heart nearly exploded with the feeling that washed through her.

“I love you,” she whispered. And she did. So very much.

“I think I fell in love with you from the start,” Mason whispered. He kissed the scar on her chest that he’d made with the silver dagger. He was always kissing it. “You were just what I needed. The perfect enemy.” He pulled her mouth back to his.

“Enemy mine,” he murmured against her lips. She giggled.

“Always and forever,” she murmured back.
