I smile and reach over, running my thumb across her cheekbone. “Don’t worry, babe. I already planned to.”

She smiles. “Good. It’s only been two weeks. You don’t want to overdo it.”

I’d been lucky. The bullet from Colt’s gun had entered the side of my abdomen, and gone straight through. It hadn’t hit anything major, and between Reaper and Charlie, they’d been able to patch me up. It still hurts like a son of a bitch, but I don’t complain. Every time I do, Reaper gives me a hard time about taking it like a man. Like that’s an issue.

I eat my supper with a smile on my face, listening to Bryce talk a hundred miles an hour about his basketball tournament he’d gone to on Friday. I’d been there for it, but his mother hadn’t, so I relive it again through his words, and love every second of it.

Bryce and I have become good buddies. He comes to me when he needs something, and I help him work it out. He teases me and I let it slide, sometimes getting in a dig or two of my own. Almost every night, we play a few rounds of Call of Duty, and last night, I’d finally killed the little shit three times. He tried to pass it off as beginner’s luck, even though I’ve been playing it with him for weeks.

Paul hasn’t made any attempt to contact Ellen or Bryce since our little conversation on the front lawn. I think Bryce has finally come to terms with the fact that his father’s absence is for the best, realizing that the guy is just an asshole, and he’s better off without him. Luckily for Ellen, she got her second child support payment, and whether she’ll admit it or not, it’s a huge help to her financially.

I unpack a few more boxes after supper, and I’m just finishing up in the bedroom when Bryce comes in. “You ready to watch a movie?”

“Yeah, Bud. Let me grab a beer and I’ll be in.”

I follow him out and grab a beer from the fridge before moving to the couch beside Ellen. “So, what are we watching?”

“The new Poltergeist,” Bryce says with a smirk as he flicks through the Netflix menu, trying to find the movie.

I let my head fall back on the couch. “Jesus Christ, B. Not you too.”

He giggles and presses play, coming to sit on the couch on the other side of me. “I love scary movies.”

I glare at Ellen and shake my head. “The evil woman has an evil son.”

Ellen throws her head back and laughs. I watch her face as she does, and my heart swells. I love the sound of her laugh, and the way her eyes light up when she does. “Just watch the movie, ya big baby.”

I turn back to the TV and shake my head. “Evil.”

The garage is deserted when the taxi pulls up, Jase’s motorcycle being the only vehicle in the lot. I pay the driver and step outside. As he drives away, I look up at the new sign and smile. Korrupted Custom Choppers will be officially open for business tomorrow morning, and I’ll be glad to get my man back.

Plans for the garage have been on hold since Jase had been shot, but now, more than two months later, there was no holding him back. For the past two weeks, Jase has spent every waking moment here, touching up the paint, changing out the sink in the bathroom, rearranging the tool shelves. The place looks incredible, and all his hard work is finally paying off.

I step inside and take in the shiny new chopper displayed in the centre of the floor. It’s the only chopper on display right now, but it’s gorgeous, and I know that it won’t be here for long. Jase and his new team of mechanics will have their work cut out for them to keep this showroom stocked with something to show.

“Babe,” Jase says from the door to the garage.

I turn to him and smile. “Hey. I just came to see if you needed a hand with anything. Bryce went over to Jimmy’s house after school and won’t be home until later. I missed you.”

He comes forward, pulling me into his strong arms and takes my lips in a hard, breathtaking kiss. My entire body hums as I grab onto his biceps and hold on tight. Pulling his lips away just enough, he whispers, “I’ve missed you too, El.”

I smile and pull him back down to me, letting the scent of motor oil and leather overwhelm me. The smell that is Jase. I press my lips against his, my heart rate getting faster as the heat builds low in my belly. How I ever went four years without sex is a mystery to me. Two weeks without Jase, and I feel like I’m ready to blow.

His tongue slips inside my mouth, sliding against my own as his hand reaches up and cups my breast. I shiver as his thumb grazes across my nipple. I want his hands on my flesh, not my clothes. I pull away from him and take off my shirt, tossing it to the floor. His eyes flare as I reach behind to unclasp my bra, which I throw on top of my shirt.

“Jesus,” he groans, his mouth closing in on the tight bud of my nipple. My knees buckle as I dig my fingers into his hair, pulling him even closer. Jase releases my breast and looks me in the eye, a grin crossing his face. “Wanna try somethin’?”

I barely hear him. My hands yank and pull at his belt buckle, trying to peel him from his clothes as quickly as I can. He laughs and pulls them off, then loses his shirt. There he stands before me—naked, tan, and beautiful.

“Take your pants off,” he orders.

I do as I’m told, kicking my jeans into another pile on the floor as I watch his body like a predator spying on its prey. He moves to the chopper, swinging his leg over the seat, then leans back until he’s in a semi-reclined position and motions for me to join him.

“I don’t know if this is gonna work,” I whisper as I slowly straddle his lap.

He grabs my hips and bites his lip as he slips a finger deep inside me. I sigh and drop my head to his shoulder. “It will, babe. Put your feet on the pegs.”

I open my eyes and stare down at him as I place my feet in the right position, feeling him swipe his cock through my wet centre.

Finally, I feel him at my entrance, and he guides me down. I watch in awe as he stares back at me, his mouth open in a silent gasp, his breaths coming out in stuttered pants as I slowly lower myself down onto him.

Pleasure radiates through me as I sink lower and lower, until he’s deep inside of me. Leaning forward, I slam my mouth down onto his, and hold onto his shoulders as he uses my hips to rock me back and forth, my clit sliding along his skin.

My body flushes until I feel like I’m on fire. I can feel it building already. I let his rhythm take over, and using the foot pegs, I pick up the pace and slam my hips against his, his cock hitting me in just the right spot.

Jase’s skin flushes, his cheeks ruddy as he cups my breasts with both hands and leans up to taste them. His teeth sink into my nipple and I’m gone. Like an exploding volcano, my orgasm bubbles over, my whole body shaking uncontrollably.

I hear Jase curse and his cock pulses deep inside as he empties himself into me. I continue to rock my hips slowly, watching his face as I stare deep into his eyes. I slow to a stop when his knuckles graze my cheekbone, and he presses a soft kiss to my lips.

Pulling back, I smile at him and declare, “This place is now officially open for business.”

I push my way through the crowd, my eyes on her. Tease had told me she’d gotten her old job back, but I needed to see it to believe it. I finally step up to the bar, and when she turns to take my order, her eyes grow wide.

“What the fuck are you still doin’ here, Anna?”

Her face pales. “I’m staying with Charlotte until—”

“Are you shittin’ me?” I yell, my face twisted in disbelief.

She swallows and takes a deep breath. “I’m staying with Charlotte until I get enough money to get my own place.”

I slam my hands down on the bar. “You stupid bitch. You have some balls coming back here after you fucked over your sister like you did.”

Her chin juts out. “Charlotte forgave me.”

I narrow my eyes. “Yeah, she forgave you. She forgave you too fuckin’ easily. Your sister has a soft heart.” Tears form in her eyes, and all it does is make me angrier. “I can’t
believe that Ryker agreed to let a whore like you stay in his home.” Anna flinches as if I’d slapped her, but I don’t stop. “If some toxic pussy tried to sell my old lady to pay off her credit card debts, I’d rip her fuckin’ spine out of her asshole and piss on what’s left. You need to go back to whatever hole you crawled out of, and never come back.”

Anna squares her shoulders. “I’m not going anywhere, Reaper. Charlotte is giving me a chance to make things right, and I’m not going to leave just because you want me to.”

I stab a finger at her, holding her eyes captive. “I want to make something perfectly clear here, woman. Skanky bitches like you are like poison to an MC. Ryker won’t send you packin’ because he loves his woman, but I won’t stop until you’re gone. I refuse to let you fuck up what we have here. Charlotte and Ryker are happy. You do anything to change that, you better pray I never get my hands on your scrawny ass. We clear, bitch?”

Anna’s hand flits to the base of her throat, and a tear slips down her cheek. “I’m trying to change,” she whispers.

“Whores never change,” I spit out before I turn and walk out of the bar.

Writing that first book in the series has knocked off the #1 thing on Geri's bucket list, and publishing it has been an absolute dream come true. She hopes you love the Kings as much as she does.
