Sebastian’s hands gripped my ankles, spreading my legs wide before he settled between them. His hands pinned my thighs to the bed, and I waited for his tongue, needing it. He made no move to touch me, and I soon lost my self-control and began to move my hands.

“Don’t move your hands,” he commanded.

I froze, a muffled protest sounding behind my gag.

“Very good,” he praised when I placed my hands above my head. This time, his tongue slid into my channel as he began to fuck me with his mouth. As I writhed beneath him, Sebastian continued to hold my thighs in place, making it impossible for me to bring my legs together. His tongue slid out of my body and moved up to stroke my clit.

When he caught my clit between his teeth and bit down gently, my muffled scream cut through the air. With my clit trapped between his teeth Sebastian began to strum the sensitive bud with his tongue. My nipples throbbed with need. The sensations caused by Sebastian’s tongue stroking my clit were almost too much. I whimpered loudly as Sebastian continued to mercilessly drive me insane with his talented tongue. When I was just about to fall over the edge, Sebastian sucked my clit into his mouth hard and rolled his tongue around my clit. That was all it took to send me spiraling over the edge.

Sebastian gently stroked my clit as he worked me through the last of my orgasm. He moved up my body to remove my panties and kiss me. I could taste myself on his lips, and it sent a wicked thrill through my body.

When Sebastian broke the kiss, he removed the blindfold and looked down at my hands, which were still above my head.

“Don’t put any panties on when you dress,” he rasped out.

“Why?” I asked with an impish grin.

“As soon as we get into my house, I’m going to bend you over the back of my sofa, and spank your gorgeous ass before I fuck you. I also want you to leave those strings around your nipples. I want them aching for my mouth the entire drive to my place.”

I licked my lips and nodded, hoping there wasn’t any traffic.

  Chapter Thirty-Six

  Sebastian

The best part of having Delaney in my home was waking up with her in my arms. If that didn’t prove I was falling hard and fast for her, nothing would. I’d told my team I’d be in late. Since I’d already put in more than fifty hours that week, I could take a half day. I’d received several messages back from team members asking if I was playing some sort of joke on them. With any luck, they’d all take a half day like I’d suggested. They were all workaholics, so it was very unlikely they’d take any time off.

“What time do you need to be at work?” Delaney mumbled sleepily from my side.

“Not until one,” I told her. “That gives me plenty of time to make you breakfast and help you shower.”

“I can shower on my own,” she assured me with a teasing smile.

  “I don’t think so,” I insisted.

“Why is that?” she asked sweetly.

“After I thoroughly fucked you last night, your legs are much too shaky to shower on your own,” I boasted.

Delaney laughed at my arrogant claim. “You really are far too cocky.”

Looking down to where my erection was making a tent under the blankets, I grinned.

“I’m not talking about the size of your dick,” she said before I could make a crude comment.

I chuckled at her attempt to look incredulous. “Are you saying you don’t want to talk about my dick?”

Delaney got to her knees and moved the covers down my hips. Her tongue darted out to wet her lips as she regarded my erection. “I want to taste you, Sebastian.”

I had to bite back a groan at her admission. I was dying to have her hot mouth wrapped around my cock. “It wouldn’t take much to get me to beg you to do just that,” I assured her.

Without another word, Delaney leaned forward to slide my dick into her mouth. Her hand gripped the base as her tongue swirled around the tip. After thoroughly exploring the edges of the tip, Delaney slid my cock as far into her mouth as she could, squeezing the base as she moved her mouth up and down. I was clutching the sheets in an effort to let her have control this time. It wasn’t easy with Delaney’s hot mouth driving me out of my mind with lust. She explored every contour of my aching dick with her tongue as I made guttural sounds of need and praise.

“Fuck,” I nearly shouted when she sucked hard as she pumped the base. “You need to stop. I’m about to come.”

She released me just long enough to tell me, “I want to taste you when you come.”

My fingers tangled in her hair as I guided her mouth back down on my cock. The woman seemed to know just what to do to push me over the edge. I exploded, shouting Delaney’s name as my eyes shut tightly.

Delaney’s wicked smile when she released my dick was enough to have it stirring again. “You taste good,” she told me.

“That was by far the best blow job I’ve ever had,” I praised, pulling her into my arms.

“I guess my book research was correct,” she mused.

I chuckled. “Book research?” I asked.

She nodded shyly. “I read a lot of articles on how to give a good blow job. This is my first time trying the tricks I read about.”

  “Really?” I asked.

“Who was I going to practice on?” she asked. “Justin?”

I laughed at that image. “I’m really glad I decided to take this morning off.”

“Because of the blow job?” she asked.

“That’s part of it,” I admitted. “Mostly, I just really love spending time with you.”

“I feel the same, Sebastian,” she admitted, sounding a little afraid.

“Falling in love is scary, isn’t it?” I asked.

“It’s too soon to say we’re falling in love,” she argued.

“But we are,” I insisted, smiling because it was true.

“Yes, we are,” she agreed. “We’re both crazy.”

  Chapter Thirty-Seven

  Delaney

It felt strange being at Sebastian’s house alone when we hadn’t been dating long. It was just after three in the afternoon, and I was going through his freezer, checking out his ice cream selection. Dear God! The man became more perfect with each new discovery. There were three varieties of ice cream. After searching his cupboards and refrigerator, I also found chocolate sauce and whipped cream. There was even a beautifully ripe banana in his fruit bowl. I was a little disappointed that there was no cherry for my banana split. Looking down at my lunch—don’t judge me—I was quite pleased with my life.

When my phone started buzzing, I was tempted to send the call to voicemail. I didn’t recognize the number. Since it was the same area code as my hometown, I decided I’d better answer it.

  “Hello,” I answered.

  “Hey there, Laney.”

I recognized Cody’s voice right away. There’d been a time, when I thought he had an incredibly sexy timbre to his voice. Fine! He still had a sexy timbre to his voice, but it was nothing compared to Sebastian’s.

“Is everything okay with your mother?” I asked, holding my breath as I waited for his reply.

Cody hesitated and let out a long sigh before responding. “I guess you heard about Momma being sick.”

“Yeah,” I replied. “I also heard you were out this way.”

“But you didn’t call me,” he muttered before letting out a humorless bark of laughter. “I suppose I can’t blame you for that. Momma is starting chemo next week. She’s sure she’ll be fine, and I reckon she will since she’s too stubborn to let cancer win.”

I decided to ignore his comment about me not calling him. Even if I’d had his number, I wouldn’t have called him. “I hope she’s all right,” I replied awkwardly. Having Cody call me threw off my day. I had no idea why he was out here.

“When are you going to be home?” he asked.

Unease crawled up my spine. “I’m home now,” I lied.

“Then open the door and let me in,” he comman
ded. “Why the hell are you making me stand outside like an idiot?”

“Why are you at my house?” I demanded angrily. No matter what was going on with Elsa Mae, I had no interest in seeing Cody. We definitely hadn’t parted on good terms. We hadn’t gotten together on good terms, so that came as no surprise.

“I need to talk to you,” he insisted. “This is such a mess. My momma really wants grandbabies to cuddle. I intend to give that to her—one, at least. That’s why I’m out here. This would be so much easier to discuss in person I need your help, Laney.”

The conversation had definitely taken a bizarre turn with that declaration. “What do you want me to do about it?” I asked. “I’m certainly not getting back together with you.”

Cody sighed. “I’m saying this all wrong,” he muttered. “Please, let me in, Laney.”

“I’m not home,” I finally admitted. “I probably won’t be home until Sunday.”

Sebastian hadn’t invited me to stay the weekend, but after all we’d talked about, I got the impression he wanted me here, and I’d packed enough for that eventuality. I was definitely falling hard for my sexy boy toy.

“I’ll come to you,” Cody offered.

  “No,” I said flatly.

“Why not?” he asked, sounding utterly bewildered. “I really need your help.”

“You cheated on me,” I ground out. “Not only that, you talked to me like I was nothing, and you hit me. Why would I help you? We’re not friends.”

Cody took so long to answer, I was beginning to wonder if he would. When he finally spoke, he sounded more sincere than I ever remembered hearing. “You’re right. There’s no good reason for you to want to help me. I was a bastard to you all those years ago, blaming you for my own mistakes. I’ve fucked up more often than not—not just with you, but with everyone. For what it’s worth, I’m sorry. You’ve got no good reason to trust me or help me. If you change your mind, call me.”

“Thank you for apologizing,” I said softly.

“I should have done it years ago,” he admitted.

“Yes, you should have,” I agreed. “I’ll think about what you said.”

Not giving him a chance to reply, I ended the call. I still wasn’t sure I’d help Cody. Apology or not, we were never going to be friends, but he certainly had a better chance of my helping him now that he’d apologized than he had by just showing up at my house.

I decided to put thoughts of Cody out of my mind and focus on what was important—enjoying Sebastian’s ice cream. A house stocked with ingredients for a banana split and he cooked. If Sebastian had cake, I just might propose marriage.

  Chapter Thirty-Eight

  Sebastian

I hated taking Delaney home at the end of the weekend, but I couldn’t really justify keeping her at my house all week. I wanted her there every day—a fact that scared me just a little. Even with Tessa, I hadn’t moved this quickly. I’d moved in with Tessa too soon. We’d dated three months before signing the lease on an apartment together. It had been partly practical. Tessa’s roommate had kicked her out after accusing Tessa of sleeping with her boyfriend. After what happened, I figured that accusation was more than likely true.

There was nothing practical about my reasons for wanting Delaney to move in with me. I simply wanted her with me every day. I wanted to fall asleep with her in my arms and fix her breakfast in the morning. It was all moving too fast, but there was no denying I felt that way.

“I should kidnap you for real,” I mused.

Delaney laughed at my suggestion. “While the game is fun, I’m pretty sure the reality wouldn’t be nearly as exciting,” she pointed out.

“You may be right,” I agreed. “I’m still willing to try it to have you in my bed every night.”

“Don’t tempt me,” she told me. “I’m going to miss your shower.”

“Just my shower?” I asked, regarding her with a raised eyebrow while we were at the stoplight.

“I’ll also miss your ice cream,” she teased.

“Wanna know what I’m going to miss?” I asked.

  “What’s that?” she asked.

“Suckling your sweet pussy,” I rasped out before returning my attention to the road.

I was satisfied with Delaney’s moan.

“Before I head home, I’ll take your car out and fill the tank,” I offered in a nonchalant tone. “After that, I’m going to bury my face between your legs and remind you of all you’re going to be missing while you’re alone in your bed tonight.”

  “You’re evil,” Delaney accused.

I was about to give a snappy comeback when I turned the corner to Delaney’s street and caught sight of her car parked in her driveway. All the windows facing us were broken and someone had spray painted bitch on the side.

  “Oh God,” Delaney gasped.

I had no idea what to say. She looked truly shaken, and I didn’t blame her. There was a chance this wasn’t related to the rocks that had been thrown at us before, but it seemed unlikely.

“I can’t believe Cody would do this,” she uttered.

I’d just parked the car when what she’d said settled in. “Cody? As in your ex-husband?”

Nodding, she pushed her hair back with a shaky hand. “He was here looking for me while I was at your house.”

I tried to keep my temper in check while I responded to what I’d just heard. I wasn’t so much angry at Delaney as I was the situation. This still seemed like the type of thing Delaney should have mentioned. “When did you find this out?”

“He called me on Friday, saying he wanted to talk to me in person,” she explained absently, her gaze still on her car. “He claimed to need my help.”

My nostrils flared as I considered the many ways I wanted to kill her ex-husband for what he’d done. It wasn’t bad enough he’d been such an asshole when they’d been married. Now, he’d come back into her life and damaged her property. The rock could have seriously injured her.

“We need to call the police,” I ground out. “After that, I think you should stay with me. Before you argue, keep in mind that you’ll be safer in my gated community.”

Delaney let out a humorless laugh. “You don’t need to sell me on the idea. If Cody did this to my car, he’s obviously not sorry like he claimed to be.

“That bastard will be sorry if I get my hands on him,” I grumbled.

  Chapter Thirty-Nine

  Delaney

If I thought the police were slow to come when rocks had been thrown at me, they were even slower for vandalism to my car. No one was in danger, so I was a low priority. At the same time, I’d been told to wait for the police to arrive to take my statement, meaning I couldn’t head back to Sebastian’s and attempt to wash away my stress in his shower. I used the time to take photos of the damage of my car and contact my insurance company. Sebastian had made some calls to see about getting the car towed to a shop for repairs.

I also checked with my neighbors to see if they’d witnessed anything. Two had been out of town. One hadn’t noticed the damage until that day. Another said they’d noticed it Saturday night, but they insisted they hadn’t seen who’d done it. There seemed to be no witnesses. I was more than a little annoyed that not one neighbor had thought to call the police, or at least, come by to check on me. I was surrounded by assholes.

By the time we finished the police report, it was after ten. They’d agreed that Cody was the likely suspect and planned to question him. Since I didn’t know where he was staying, it wasn’t quite that simple, but I had been able to give them his phone number. I’d also given them Cody’s father’s number in the hopes he could help locate his son.

Sebastian was driving me back to his place. Neither of us had said much since we’d left my house. It seemed both of us needed to think. I didn’t have any piano lessons that week, so I decided to stay with Sebastian for a short time. With any luck, the police would make an arrest soon.

I’d gone over things in my mind several t
imes, and Cody just didn’t seem right as a suspect.

“I’m having a really hard time believing Cody would do this,” I finally said.

“It can be hard to imagine someone we were close to acting this way,” Sebastian replied. “I had trouble believing Tessa tried to poison me despite the evidence.”

“It’s not that this is hard to believe because I was married to Cody,” I assured him. “Before Friday, I would have had no trouble believing Cody was capable of something like this. It would have fit in really well with what I’d expected of him. He could be childish and vindictive.”

  “What changed?” he asked.

“He apologized for everything that happened when we were married,” I explained. “When I first saw my car, I felt like he’d lied to me. The apology had seemed like a way to throw me off, but now I’m not so sure. He seemed sincere.”

“Some people are good liars,” Sebastian pointed out.

“Cody’s always been one of those people,” I admitted with a sigh.

“Then why believe his apology?” he pushed.

“Because he’s never apologized,” I explained. “He’s never admitted to being wrong because he’s always believed he’s in the right. When he’s lied, it’s been to convince me he hadn’t done anything wrong.”

“I still don’t trust him, but you know him. The fact that I want to kill him for hitting you all those years ago may be clouding my judgment,” he admitted.

“Hopefully, this will be resolved soon,” I told him. “I have piano classes to teach.”

“When is your next class?” he asked.

“Not until next Monday,” I replied. “This week is spring break so I don’t have any lessons. I don’t offer lessons during spring or winter break.”

“I have a piano,” he told me. “If they don’t mind the commute, you can do your classes at my house next week, if you need to stay there longer.”

“That’s really sweet,” I told him. “I’m pretty sure they won’t want to travel that far. Most parents are running their kids from one thing to the next. One family lives in San Ramon, and they’d probably appreciate the shorter commute. I don’t know why we’re worrying about this. I should be home by next Monday, right?”
