The Archangels Battle
Page 2
Artemis stared up at him, heat in her eyes, as she wove her fingers through his curly dark hair.
“One night only. Decide, goddess.”
Michael wasn’t known for his seduction, and he wasn’t about to start now. But despite his broody nature, every female in this establishment would drop to their knees and happily take him in their mouths, and he would enjoy it. However, he was well aware of his position of power, so he always made sure he asked, not took.
They always had a choice. And once they made it, then he let loose his dominance.
“Oh, I decided hours ago, archangel.”
“Then let’s go.”
She shook her head.
What?
“Don’t play with me, Artemis.”
She pouted.
He stared.
And more staring.
“What do you want?” he gritted out. Damn Olympians and their games.
“Kiss me, Michael.”
His eyes widened as his eyebrows rose. Ignoring the amused looks by the tall idiots he called brothers, he looked down at her. “Why?”
She turned away from him, and he grabbed her arm. “No games, goddess. Are we going or not?”
She shrugged. “Kiss me and we go; otherwise, no.”
He narrowed his eyes. “Tell me why.”
He didn’t care, really. He’d happily walk away, but now she’d piqued his curiosity. The gods did nothing without reason.
Artemis threw out her arms. “Oh, for goodness’ sake. Aphrodite bet her gorgeous ruby ring you wouldn’t kiss me in the bar. Pleeease, Michael.”
Jesus Christ.
Michael rolled his eyes, gripped her upper arms, and lifted her off her feet, slamming his lips onto hers dramatically. He felt her smile while the surrounding crowd roared. Dumping her back on the ground, she clutched his forearms to steady herself. He took her hand and pulled her out of the bar.
“Which way?”
CHAPTER THREE
“LET’S GET THIS PARTY started,” Raphael said as he pulled an angel onto his lap. When Jophiel choked on his brew, he threw a few nuts at him.
“Dude, stop. I don’t want floaters in my ’brosia.”
“Well, what was that for?”
Jophiel, Zadkiel, and Gabriel all gazed about the room as if they were waiting for a bus or some goddamn thing.
“Spill it,” Raphael ordered.
Chamuel pointed at him. “That. As soon as Michael leaves, you get all bossy.”
“I don’t.”
They all began nodding.
Fuckers.
“Are you in charge now?” the sexy brunette angel on his lap asked, eyelashes fluttering.
“Yes, baby, I am.” He winked. “Want me to show you how I can beat my brothers up?”
Her mouth dropped open flirtatiously, and he slipped a finger in. She sucked it, and his cock hardened.
“He’s toast,” Gabriel said, shaking his head.
Raphael grinned and shifted the female on his lap. It wouldn’t be completely inappropriate for him to slip his cock in right here, but she was small, and he wanted her on her knees first. He’d wait. Fly her back to Heaven and lay her out on his enormous bed.
“You’re coming home with me tonight, little one.” She purred in response. “Go get another jug for us to share, and then we shall leave.”
As she danced off, Raphael took stock of his brothers. None of them needed looking after, but like any family, they all looked out for each other. And yeah, when Michael wasn’t around, perhaps he stepped in as his second. The two of them were close, which meant Michael would often revert to him on things, and he would expect him to be on top of anything in his absence.
“Uri,” he called out across the table. The guy was in an Aphrodite daze, as they called it. The goddess was dancing seductively in front of him, her breasts all but falling out of her red dress.
“Uh-huh?” Uriel answered, his eyes still on the female.
“Eyes up here, big guy.”
Uriel turned, snapping out of his trance.
“You staying on Olympus tonight?”
“Fuck yes.”
“I’ll stay behind and make sure he gets home,” Gabriel offered.
“One night, Uri. Then you leave.”
The relationship between Uriel and Aphrodite was historic. They all thought she had some sort of magical sexual power over the guy. And maybe she did—she was the goddess of love, passion, pleasure, and procreation after all.
Uriel always lost his goddamn mind as soon as they were together. Once inside her house, they struggled to get him out. Literally. Sometimes he would be with her for several days. It wasn’t like he irked his duties; not at all. He simply stayed in the sex nest until they literally had to drag him out, which was all kinds of stiff-cocked awkward. Every time he’d go through a type of detox, full of regret. Then rinse and repeat.
“No need. I’ll...” Uriel began before looking back at the goddess and nodding. “Yeah. Good idea.”
Just then, Persephone, another of Zeus’s daughters, sidled up to the table.
“I see my sisters are entertaining you all tonight, archangels.”
The goddess of spring had a lightness about her the other Olympians didn’t. Raphael liked her cheeky nature and how she seemed to have her head screwed on more than the rest of her family.
Gabriel, on the other hand, liked her boobs.
“You’re late,” Gabriel said, leaning down closer.
“Or was I hoping to miss you?” She shrugged, dismissing the large blond archangel.
Raphael smirked. The dance between the two was always amusing. Gabriel was not accustomed to chasing females; he was better skilled at the diplomatic act of refusing them. Aside from Michael, Gabe got the most attention from females, and he’d always thought it was because of his brother’s apparent lack of interest. Not that any of them were lacking in interest from any female of any species.
Yet, when Persephone was in the room, Gabriel lost every ounce of aloofness he had. And frankly, of coolness.
“Oh, you never miss,” Gabriel said.
“What?” she asked, confused.
Yeah, what?
Raphael ran a hand over his face at the awkwardness.
“Forget it,” Gabriel grumbled. “Dance with me.”
As he dragged the reluctant goddess onto the dance floor, Raphael shook his head. Gabriel would get the dance, but little else. Persephone wanted to be wooed by the archangel, something he would never do. Aside from his complete obliviousness, Gabriel, like all the archangels, had little desire or need to woo a female.
“We’re out,” Uriel said, slamming his ambrosia down on the wooden table and following Aphrodite out of the bar.
Raphael slipped his arm around the pretty angel who’d just returned, pulling her back onto his still semihard cock. Zadkiel was the only one not getting busy with a female. Not unusual, since he was more discretionary with his sexual appetite. Chamuel sat down beside them and finished his jug.
“Okay, let’s go home, boys,” Raphael said as Jophiel joined them. They wandered out of the bar, leaving Uriel, Gabe, and Michael on Olympus.
With the angel wrapped in one arm smiling like the cat who’d gotten the cream, he stretched out his large green wings and lifted into the air.
Flying back to Heaven.
CHAPTER FOUR
“STRIP FOR ME, GODDESS,” Uriel said as he plonked down on the large bed layered in silk.
Aphrodite slowly ran a finger down between her breasts, the fabric shifting. Nearly. Not quite enough.
He groaned.
“I have missed the feel of you within my body, Uriel,” she purred. Fuck, if she would just get on the bed, he’d remind her. His cock ached.
The red fabric dropped another inch. She slipped a finger into her mouth and slowly drew it out, wet and shiny.
Mother. Fucking. Fuck.
“Dite. Get over here, now.”
She opened her mouth a
little, her eyes heavy with sex. As her tongue inched out to lick her lips, he snapped. Flying across the room, he slammed her against the wall.
She grinned. “There’s my powerful archangel.”
He grabbed her hair and slammed his lips into hers. As he plowed his tongue into her mouth, he ripped the dress from her body and pressed his thigh between her legs. He felt the moisture against his knee immediately.
Fuck yes, she was so wet for him.
“Wrap your legs around me,” he ordered against her mouth, and she did. He plunged into her, both of them crying out. He shoved a hand against the wall as Aphrodite gripped his shoulders. They stared at each other, all the game between them disappearing.
Panting, he shut his eyes for a moment and then opened them, finding hers.
“Uri...”
“I know.”
It shouldn’t feel like this. They both knew it. But it did.
Every single fucking time.
CHAPTER FIVE
MICHAEL STOPPED AT the steps of Zeus’s castle. He looked up at the enormous golden structure with the wide steps he knew led into luxury few had ever seen. Gold-plated banisters, marble floors, and chandeliers made of the largest diamonds and jewels found across the galaxies were just the beginning. The castle had over two hundred bedrooms, five ballrooms, and who knew what else hidden behind the highly guarded walls.
“Here?”
Artemis turned and stared at him like he was an idiot.
“You live in the castle?”
“I’m sorry, have we not met? I’m Artemis, goddess of wild nature, daughter of Zeus. This is our home.”
He crossed his arms and frowned at her. “I do not think it wise for me to enter the home of Zeus.”
Michael watched her chew her bottom lip, thinking, then she nodded. “Perhaps you are right. Follow me.” They walked a few minutes until they came to a house. “We can use this venue tonight.”
He didn’t bother asking who it belonged to; mostly because he didn’t care. As long as he didn’t bump uglies with Zeus in the family bathroom during the night, he’d be happy with wherever they stayed. Of course, that scenario was unlikely given the size of the castle, but he still wasn’t shagging one of his daughters under the guy’s roof.
He lit a few candles as Artemis undid her robe. The bed was sizeable and looked robust. As she removed his cloth, he grabbed her wrist.
“Artemis. Before we begin, I want to be sure you are clear that there is no relationship here. Simply sexual pleasure.” Lust, need, and a dash of regret flashed across her eyes. They were beautiful eyes. He stared down at her for a second, running his hand along her collarbone and across her nipples. He felt her shiver. “Goddess, I will ensure you are pleasured, but remember I’m an archangel and cannot offer anything more.”
“Archangels have feelings,” she said. “Uriel...”
“Yes. But we do not mate. You know this.”
Artemis nodded as his fingers moved down her body and between her legs. She arched under his touch, and he lifted her up and placed her on the bed. Her legs naturally fell open. Going down on one knee, he pried her lips wider and slipped his fingers in.
“Relax and enjoy with no expectations, goddess.” Michael lowered his head and lapped at her juices. She cried out as his mouth covered her pussy, his thumb drumming her clit.
Archangels didn’t fall in love. They loved all of God’s creatures, sure, and he loved his brothers, but there were no monogamous relationships. But lust? Yes.
His cock swelled as the goddess exploded around his tongue. He lifted her and flipped her around onto her knees. Slapping her ass, he nudged her thighs apart as he stroked himself.
“Michael,” she moaned, wriggling her bottom in the air.
He pressed her face down into the sheets. “Wide and open for me, goddess.” As she did, he tapped her reactive pussy. “Yeah, gods, so pink and flushed.” His mouth watered as he aligned his cock and pressed in. “Grip me hard, Artemis.”
“Ah, gods!” she cried. “Yesyesyesyes.”
He pumped in long and hard, his fingers digging into her hips as she pressed back into him to deepen the experience. She placed one palm on the wall to use as an anchor and flung her head back.
“More, god, deeper.”
“Yes, fuck, yes.” Leaning around her, he pinched her clit as he pounded. When he felt her climax build, he let himself go.
Panting, he lay down and placed her on top of him. They were just getting started. When she got comfortable, Artemis smiled down at him, wriggled, and then rode his cock.
“That’s it, goddess. Good girl.”
Artemis reached out and cupped his face, affection lining her face. He shook his head and took her hand, placing it on his chest before he took her breasts and flicked her nipples. A moment later, he shifted his hands to her hips as he felt his cock swell, ready to explode within her. With archangel energy, he sped them up. As an immortal, she could take it, but he had to be careful with his power.
She arched and threw her head back, crying out his name as he released into her. Then they collapsed.
She was a good lover, more enjoyable than he’d expected. But he saw the underlying desire for love and affection he could never provide, and so he knew this would be the one and only time. A shame, as her pussy was nice and tight.
Just as well, since Zeus would be less than impressed with Michael having the goddess as a regular lover, or as regular as any of them could be with any female. Thoughts of Uriel crossed his mind, but he shook them off. An anomaly they were all confused about. Still, the ten-year hiatus had to account for something. Maybe she was a magical lover?
Michael shook his head, remembering the reason they were on the planet. He would stay till morning and see what pillow talk came from this encounter. A fair deal. He’d find out what Zeus was up to, and Artemis would get her fucking ruby ring.
The next morning, he had no more information than when he’d lain down. Artemis walked with him through the streets.
“Can I visit you in Heaven?”
He nearly choked on his own saliva.
Fuck no.
“That’s not possible, Artemis.”
Visitors didn’t just pop into Heaven, and certainly not fucking Olympian gods.
“Oh,” she said, looking disappointed.
“You know no one can visit our holy Father’s home. It’s not a holiday resort.”
He suddenly wondered whether the goddess was truly clear on what their night together had meant. Tugging her hand, he stopped her and placed a hand on either side of her arms.
“Artemis, you do realize this was just sex, right? As I said” —one hundred fucking times—“I do not commit to a relationship, nor do any of the archangels. You understand, don’t you?”
“Not even for me?” She pouted. “Uriel and Aphrodite—”
“No, not even for a pretty goddess like you. It’s not you; it’s me. I am an archangel.”
“But Uriel...”
“Uri is broken. Or your sister has put a spell on him—we’re not sure which.” He shook his head and continued walking.
“I think you’ll want me again.”
Christ.
“Archangel.” A cold voice sent a chill along the back of his neck. “I see you have enjoyed yourself with my sister.”
Artemis took a step away from him as he turned to face Ares, the god of war. “Ares.”
“My nightlife is none of your business, brother,” Artemis interjected, leaning up to kiss Michael on the cheek as he barely hid his cringe.
“Artemis, see if Uriel and your sister are awake. Tell him we are leaving.” Fortunately, the goddess nodded and sent him a glowing smile.
He looked up to see Gabriel descending the steps of the castle, yawning. Michael raised an eyebrow at the guy. There was only one reason the archangel would be in there, and he’d eat his own sword if it was true.
“What?”
Even Ares was looking at him in surp
rise.
“So let me get this straight. All seven of you flew over here to shag all my damn sisters? Good fucking gods.”
Gabriel smirked.
Michael did not.
“You don’t have seven sisters, but otherwise, yes,” Gabriel replied, clearly thrilled with how his evening had ended.
“We came to celebrate the success of your win,” Michael said. “But only the goddesses showed up. Why is that?”
Zeus descended the steps next. Christ, it was a family gathering. Behind him, Uriel and Aphrodite were locked at the lips and walking down the steps. Who knew that was even possible without falling over.
“My sons were with me last night, archangel,” Zeus informed, stopping beside Ares. “A private celebration and review of our success.”
“What’s next for the great Zeus?”
The guy shrugged. Shrugged! Michael clenched his fist at his sides before crossing his arms to hide his frustration.
“Perhaps other nations need a forceful leader. This God of yours never shows His face. You cannot argue that the success of the Great War—”
“Named by you.”
“—has shown the Olympic gods in a powerful light.”
Gabriel scrunched his eyes. “Is he special dumb or just normal dumb?”
Michael grinned. Then grinned wider as Zeus’ face reddened. Uriel snapped out of his sexual haze as tension filled the air and walked to join his brothers. That was the thing about being an archangel. Nothing came before bros.
“Take this message back to your imaginary God. Heaven is next. You cannot keep us out any longer. The day will come when I eventually rule.”
Michael narrowed his eyes. “Is that an official threat toward Heaven and our holy Father? Do you really want to do this?”
Zeus planted his hands on his hips, legs wide, and nodded. “It is done.”
