John Bellamy was also asleep, and smiling. Zhor was on one side, and Najia nestling in on the other. They’d come to him for the first time just three nights before, first Najia, and then Zhor. He thought it too early to ask them to marry him, but it filled him with contentment to feel them so close. He’d been lonely ever since his wife had died, but now he had his girls. And if the cost was that he had to help them run the Kobi family, he’d pay the cost without a second thought. He loved them, loved them both.
