Pri-Rada pree-rah-dah Third Rule [Angelic] The third position of rank among the Amatru.
Rada Talad rah-dah ta-lahd Rule Has Spoken [Angelic] An exclamation among the Amatru, commonly used in response to an order from a superior.
Ruaka rew-ah-kah Spirit [Angelic] The life-giving essence of the Holy One which sustains all created things in the Eili and Tima.
Saekra sey-krah Place of Holding [Angelic] The place where spirits are held until Andomur.
Sahveyim sah-vey-yim Water On All Sides [Shayeth] The section of land, narrowly connected to larger land masses on the south, east, and west, which sits in the middle of Gadolyim.
Saerin sey-eer-in Holy One [Angelic] The Holy One. The First Rule or Ad-Rada of the Amatru.
Saman sah-mahn Joint Operations [Angelic] The joint operations branch of the Amatru, comprised of Anduarym, Iryllurym, and Vidirym, added later as a response to enemy tactics.
Sariel sah-ree-el Minister Appointed by God [Angelic] Formerly a Myndar, who became a soldier after Omynd. Race: Myndar. Size: approximately 10 feet tall when in Iryllur form, 6.5 feet tall when in human form. Age: unknown. Iryllur appearance: bright-blue eyes; light-tan skin, white feathers flecked with gold and reddish-brown. Human appearance: bright-blue eyes, light-tan skin, white shaggy hair and beard.
Sau-Rada sou-rah-dah Seventh Rule [Angelic] The seventh position of rank among the Amatru.
Sedekiyr sed-e-keer City of Justice, Righteousness [Shayeth] The home city of the Shayeth tribe. From a root word meaning level or flat, named for its location on the vast flatlands or plains and not as an indication of moral value.
Semjaza sem-jah-zah Unknown [Angelic] Formerly a Pri-Rada of the Saman, until his invasion of Tima. Size: 13 feet tall. Age: unknown. Appearance: dark orange eyes, reddish-brown skin, black hair.
Senvidar sen-vi-dahr Twisted Trees [Angelic] The city of the Myndarym, which they established after their rebellion from Semjaza. See also Aragatsiyr.
Set-Rada set-rah-dah Sixth Rule [Angelic] The sixth position of rank among the Amatru.
Shalakh Akhar shah-lahk ahk-ahr After Exile [Shayeth] A reference point for measurement of time; also abbreviated as SA. The first humans were immortal prior to being exiled from Aden, therefore, the passage of time was irrelevant. The practice of referring to events or objects in the past-tense only came into being when there was a noticeable difference between their past and present states. This occurred during the time of their banishment and the translated phrase after exile came into use.
Shamayim shah-mah-yim Waters Above [Shayeth] The sky, or the kingdom of heaven; where spirits are said to dwell. See also Shamuyim, Del-Szhinda, and Eili.
Shamuyim shah-mew-yim Waters Above [Chatsiyr] The sky, or the kingdom of heaven; where the Baynor are said to dwell. See also Shamayim, Del-Szhinda, and Eili.
Shayeth shey-eth Compensation [Shayeth] The singular name for a member of the Shayetham.
Shayetham shey-eth-em People of Compensation [Shayeth] The plural name for the second-largest of the human tribes, descended from a man named Shayeth, of the second human generation. The Shayetham inhabit the land between Da-Mayim and Nagah.
Sheyir shey-eer Song [Chatsiyr] The youngest daughter of Yeduah. Race: Chatsiyr. Size: approximately 4.5 feet tall. Age: 19 sun-cycles. Appearance: light-brown eyes; earthen skin, black hair.
Skalagid skah-lah-gid Song of Understanding [Angelic] One of the Songs of Creation, used to communicate thoughts, emotions, and ideas among multiple angels simultaneously. See also Baerlagid, Myndlagid, Navlagid, Tanklagid, Vinlagid, and Vislagid.
Skoldur skohl-dewr Shield [Angelic] Singular and plural name for the heavyweight shield used by the Anduarym.
Skynvidar skeyn-vi-dahr Tree of Wisdom [Angelic] One of the two trees at the center of Aden, which exists in both Eili and Tima and represents the Temporal Realm.
Smyda smee-dah Build [Angelic] One of the seven disciplines within each branch of the Amatru. The Smyda specialize in the design of weaponry and armor and construction of fortifications.
Straeka strey-kuh Stretch [Angelic] The spectrum of creation. In the beginning, all created objects and beings existed in close proximity in one eternal world. After the rebellion of Malrah, he and the Marotru were cast out of the presence of Saerin. The violence of this judgment stretched creation into a continuum of existence. On the opposite end from Saerin, the stretching was more pronounced, causing a separation of environmental qualities. What resulted was a realm that lacked enduring light and sound—which would later become Tima—followed by a realm that lacked form and structure—which would later become Morkum.
Sturvat stewr-vaht Great Waters [Angelic] The large, connected bodies of water to the west and north of Mudena Del-Edha. See also Gadolyim and Meyaveem.
Svvard svahrd Unknown [Angelic] The singular and plural word for an experimental weapon being developed by the Amatru. Similar to a vandrekt, it features a shorter handle and longer blade. It functions as a stabbing or swinging weapon in close-quarters combat.
Tamael tah-mey-el Unknown [Angelic] The leader of the three Myndarym whom Sariel encounters while looking for the Aytsam. Race: Myndar. Size: approximately 10 feet tall when in angelic form. Age: unknown. Appearance: golden eyes; pale-golden skin; tan to dark-orange hair.
Tanklagid tahnk-lah-gid Song of Idea [Angelic] One of the Songs of Creation, used to steer a being’s thoughts toward a conclusion that will reveal a truth which Saerin wishes to communicate. See also Baerlagid, Myndlagid, Navlagid, Skalagid, Vinlagid, and Vislagid.
Tarsaeel tahr-sey-el Unknown [Angelic] Sariel’s former friend in Viytur. Formerly a Myndar who became a soldier after Omynd. Race: Myndar. Size: approximately 10 feet tall when in Iryllur form. Age: unknown. Iryllur appearance: golden eyes; mottled brown, red, and tan skin and feathers; chestnut hair.
Tehrah te-rah Dark Knowledge, Dark Sight [Chatisyr] Evil thoughts or actions.
Tima tee-mah Temporal [Angelic] The portion of the creation Spectrum that separated from Eili and became temporal, in contrast to the portion that remains eternal. See also Ehret, Ehrut, and Ehrudah.
Vaeka vey-kuh Search [Angelic] One of the seven disciplines within each branch of the Amatru. The Vaeka specialize in surveillance & reconnaissance.
Vaepkir veyp-keer Arm Blade [Angelic] The singular and plural word for the arm-blade weaponry used by the Iryllurym. When held in the standard position, it functions as a ramming weapon during air-based attacks. When held in a reverse position, it functions as a stabbing weapon during ground-based, or hand-to-hand combat.
Vandrekt vahn-drekt Air Spear [Angelic] The singular and plural word for the short spears used by the Anduarym. Each vandrekt is fitted with a 12 inch, double bladed tip. It functions as a stabbing weapon in close-quarters combat, or a swinging or casting weapon on the open battlefield—though casting is typically a last resort.
Vanspyd vahn-speed Water Spear [Angelic] The singular and plural word for the long spears used by the Vidirym. Each vanspyd is fitted with three short, double-bladed, staggered tips on the front end and two at the rear. It functions as a stabbing weapon in close-quarters combat.
Vidir vi-deer Sea Force [Angelic] The singular name for a member of the sea force of the Amatru.
Vidirym vi-deer-im Sea Forces [Angelic] The plural name for members of the sea forces of the Amatru.
Vinlagid vin-lah-gid Song of Force [Angelic] One of the Songs of Creation, used to modify dense materials after they’ve become unresponsive to shaping. See also Baerlagid, Myndlagid, Navlagid, Skalagid, Tanklagid, and Vislagid.
Vislagid vis-lah-gid Song of Withering [Demonic] A distorted version of one of the Songs of Creation, used by the Nin-Myndarym to corrode or deteriorate an object or being. See also Baerlagid, Myndlagid, Navlagid, Skalagid, Tankl
agid, and Vinlagid.
Viytur vee-tewr Wisdom [Angelic] One of the seven disciplines within each branch of the Amatru. The Viytur is a cross-branch force, specializing in the gathering and analysis of information and controlled implementation of its conclusions.
Vorda vewr-dah Defense [Angelic] One of the seven disciplines within each branch of the Amatru. The Vorda specialize in defense operations for the purpose of holding territory or protecting personnel or resources.
Yeduah ye-dew-uh Unknown [Chatsiyr] The elder of the Chatsiyr tribe and father of Sheyir. Race: Chatsiyr. Size: approximately 5 feet tall. Age: 312 sun-cycles. Appearance: dark-brown eyes; earthen skin, black hair.
Zacol zah-kohl Strong Voice [Shayeth] The wife of Enoch and mother of Methushelak. Size: 5 feet tall. Age: 41 sun-cycles. Appearance: dark-brown eyes; ruddy skin; black hair.
