Happily, I snuggled down under him, not minding his half-crushing weight. I loved being utterly covered by H in bed. Loved it. "So is the network going to be pissed at you that you're sleeping with me before the final decision ceremony?"
"Fuck the network," he murmured sleepily, nuzzling my hair.
I chuckled and held him closer. "They'll probably kick us out of the hotel if we're not playing their little game."
"They can't," he told me. His fingers traced circles on my bare shoulder. "They weren't the ones invited here. I was."
I frowned, not understanding. "What do you mean?"
"Eden's...not like every other place," Heathcliff explained. "The master of the island is a pretty reclusive bastard, but a decent guy. Met him a while back. He invited me to come out here. Thing is with Eden, it's all about finding the thing you want most."
"Like Fantasy Island?" I teased. That sounded...silly.
"I guess," he said, and nestled his head closer to mine. "At any rate, I told him what I wanted, and he offered to let me rent this wing of the hotel out from him for the show. So yeah, they're here on my dime. They can't kick me out, but I can certainly boot them, and will in the morning."
My fingers stroked Heathcliff's arm, processing these thoughts. I wondered what other fantasies people had come to Eden to act out. What other sorts of places this beautiful island had to explore. "So, what did you tell the master you wanted most?"
"Isn't it obvious?" Heathcliff said, and kissed my cheek gently. "I wanted you back."
Happy tears blurred my eyes, and I turned my head so I could kiss his mouth. "You got me, H."
