“Are you getting good at changing diapers, Pat?” Tyler chuckled. “I swear I can’t picture you, Mister playboy, changing a diaper.”
“Ha, ha. You can come over any time and practice. You’ll need to know how to change diapers too, Ty.”
“I’ll take you up on that as soon as we get back from our trip.”
“That’s right. You guys are getting away from it all. Take advantage of it. Enjoy the calm while you can. Last one before the baby.” Kat rubbed Paige’s belly.
Tyler tried hard not to laugh as Kat touched his wife’s belly. Paige held her plate of cookies not saying a word. He met Kris’s glance.
“Babe,” Kris dragged Kat away. “Let’s take Ian over to see Brayden.”
“Thank you.” Paige sighed once Kat and Kris were out of earshot. “I swear I need to buy a shirt that says, ‘don’t touch my belly’.”
“You are growing our baby in there. Everyone is just so happy for us, and that’s how they show it. Isn’t that a small price to pay for making our dreams come true?” Tyler drew Paige into a hug. He placed one hand on her baby bump.
Her expression relaxed, and a small smile slid across her lips. “Okay, you’re right. It is worth it, but maybe if we could find that shirt...”
Tyler laughed. “Yes, I will get right on that.”
“Thanks, babe. But sometimes I feel so claustrophobic!”
“Imagine how baby feels,” Tyler teased.
“I bought that shirt. I’ll send you the link.” Talia quietly said to Paige.
Harrison pulled Talia close. “Are you causing trouble already?’
Talia laughed. “Not at all. Just helping my sister-in-law out. How would you like people doing this to you all day?”
Talia grabbed Harrison’s stomach and was rubbing it.
“Actually,” Harrison smirked. “That feels kind of nice.”
“Tal, I’m not sure this is the place to be fondling your husband.” Tyler teased his sister.
Talia flashed him a stern look, unamused.
“Ty, hormones...” Harrison whispered, shaking his head frantically.
“Look at you!” Ali called to Paige from the other side of the room.
Her husband, Kaden, tried to stop her, but with their son in tow, he couldn’t get to her fast enough as Ali went in for the belly rub.
“Ali!” Paige thwarted the belly rub and pulled Ali into a hug. “Girl, did you change your hair? It looks amazing.”
“So, soon-to-be-daddy, how’s it feel?” Kaden asked Tyler.
Tyler and Kaden sat down at a table as he watched Paige take control of her conversation and Ali forgot all about rubbing her belly. Paige happily ate her plate of cookies at a nearby table while Ali went on about something.
“It’s amazing. Every bit of it. I know there is so much more waiting for me,” he looked over to Patrick and Gia fawning over Brayden. “But I’m just cherishing every moment.”
“Can you believe we all are old enough to be family men?” Kaden shook his head. “Not too long ago we were all the young guys on the team, now we are dads and veteran players.”
“Wild huh?” Tyler said. “And I wouldn’t change a single thing.”

About the Author
MELODY IS AN USA Today Bestselling hockey romance author. Born and raised in the Steel City, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Home of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers (and Pirates). We are famous for Mario Lemieux, Sidney Crosby, Pierogis, saying “yinz”, and sandwiches with coleslaw and French fries on them (just to name a few). Melody lives with her husband, son, and fur babies.
They are huge hockey fans and adore their home team, the Pittsburgh Penguins. During the hockey season, their lives revolve around the game schedule.
Melody loves making the game part of the overall story (the whole experience of being at an NHL game, the noise, the food, the sound of the skates on the ice.) So expect the game to be part of her books. She hopes even if you’ve never set foot into a hockey rink, you will feel as if you had while reading her books.
She is a Hallmark movie junkie. Christmas movies and all the cutesy (and sometimes cliché) romance, and she loves to get swept away in it all.
When she’s not watching the Hallmark Channel, she’s binging Chicago PD, or catching up on her soaps, General Hospital and Days of Our Lives.
