be accepted. They would never be placed in a position to shake the dust of a city from their feet. His disciples had no idea that he had done this for them as their spiritual understanding had not yet been opened.
Jesus was troubled in his spirit because he knew he was about to be betrayed. He testified and said unto his disciples, “I tell you the truth one of you shall betray me.” The disciples looked at one another, not knowing which one of them he was speaking about. One of them, the disciple whom Jesus loved was resting his head as usual upon Jesus’ chest. Simon Peter called to this disciple and said, “Ask him which one he means.” Leaning back against Jesus, John asked him, “Lord, who is it?” Jesus therefore answered, “It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the bowl.” Then, dipping the piece of bread in the bowl, he gave it to Judas Iscariot.
If there was one thing that we angels knew about the Lord Jesus Christ and that was how prepared he was. His Father in heaven always prepared him with the foreknowledge of what he was going to encounter for the day. The Father of Glory continually walked with his Son during the cool breath of the morning, before the sun decided to rise and the birds began to sing. Jesus, like Adam in the secret Garden of Eden, had found a secret dwelling place where he had fellowship with his Father in heaven. His secret walks with his Father prepared him for every future obstacle and tonight was no different. He was prepared.
As soon as Judas took the bread, that ancient serpent dragon Satan entered into him possessing his heart and mind. Jesus told Judas to go and quickly do what he was about to do. Judas ran out into the cold night, his betraying footsteps echoing down the silent streets of Jerusalem. Then Jesus spoke openly with his disciples, “My children, I will be with you only a short while longer and where I am going you cannot come. A new commandment I give unto you: love one another. You must love one another as I have loved you. By this will all men know that you are my disciples if you love one another?”
Simon Peter said unto him, “Lord, where are you going.” Jesus answered, “Where I am going, you cannot follow now; but you shall follow me later.” Peter replied, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you. Then Jesus answered, “Will you really lay down your life for me? I tell you the truth, before the rooster crows you shall deny and disown me three times!” Then said Jesus unto all of them, “All of you shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. But after that I will rise again and I will go before you into Galilee.” After Jesus had spoken unto them, they all sung a hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives.
Dawn was still far away from breaking the creatures of the earth into songs of joy. Before the birds could sing praises in gratitude that a new dawn had giving them a new beginning, filled with new mercies. Jesus made his way to the secret dwelling place with his Father to be prepared as a sacrificial lamb to die. Jesus came to the place called Gethsemane, a garden called the place of pressing and said unto the disciples, “Sit here, while I go and pray over there.” He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, James and John, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy in his spirit. Then he said unto them, “My heart of hearts is exceedingly sad and deeply grieved, so that I am almost dying of distress and depression. Stay here and keep awake with me.” We angels watched as Jesus went a little way further from them, and fell on the dusty ground, his face clinging to the dirt. He prayed passionately, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me, nevertheless not as I will and desire, but according to your will and desire.”
Some time later he came to the disciples, and found them asleep, and said unto Peter, “Could you not watch with me for one hour? Watch and pray that you do not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Jesus went away again for the second time, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, then let your will be done.” He returned again to his disciples and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy as they were weary from the day’s activities. So He left them sleeping, and went away again, and prayed for the third time, saying the same words.
Then he went to his disciples again and said unto them, “Carry on Sleeping and get your rest for the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is about to be betrayed into the hands of sinners. Arise and let us be go for he that wants to betray me is at hand.
The Road to the Cross. #25
I suddenly awoke to the violent sound of aggressive men as their voices echoed through the open window in heaven and into the throne room. They were on a destructive mission that was birthed from the pit of hell. That ancient demon dragon, Satan was influencing them as they were filled with hideous hatred towards God Almighty. “Reveal to us the one with a passionate kiss,” they demanded. I Gabriel, the voice of the Lord had just returned from strengthening the master as He passionately prayed to His loving Father in the secret Garden of Gethsemane, the place of pressure. So passionate was his prayer that drops of blood appeared upon his forehead. I had never seen such effective prayer before.
The persistent prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective and His prayer to His father was powerful and affective. He groaned within himself and in the spirit like He did when He had raised Lazarus from the dead. It was the will of his Father in heaven to drink the cup of death for the redemption of sins for all mankind and thereby restoring them back to their original formation like the first Adam was in the secret garden.
I was exhausted from my mission of strengthening the Messiah in the secret garden. It was a brutal battle against Satan and his filthy dragon demons. I could still wreak their foul odour that had seeped into my battle attire while fending them off. I looked at Christ’s Holy Father as He sat quietly upon the Throne of Glory. As tired and fatigued as I was, I was ready to reload and fight to the death, to protect the King of the Jews, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The Father simply lifted up His hand as a sign to forbid any further intervention from us, his heavenly hosts. I was astounded by His request not to depart through the open window in heaven. This had never happened before. The Father was going to allow His only begotten Son to fall into the brutal hands of an angry mob. God the Father was going to have His wrath poured out upon His only begotten Son at the cruel hands of mankind.
I recalled several years earlier when I had blinded the eyes of an angry mob when they wanted to hurl the Messiah over the mountains edge. They had become angry with Jesus after He had visited His home town and claimed that He was the Messiah. They all burned with anger when they heard his outrageous claim. “That’s impossible,” they declared. “He cannot be Christ the Messiah because He is Jesus, Joseph the carpenter’s son. Mary and Joseph are his parents. This is blasphemy.” They had failed to recognize his heavenly origin as the Son of God, the Messiah. He came unto his own and they received him not. They violently grabbed hold of Jesus and dragged him towards the edge of the cliff. The Father pointed his finger towards me and I knew the intentions of his heart. It was not yet time for the death of the Messiah so Jesus calmly walked in between them and walked away to safety as I confounded them. I manipulated their minds so that they were dazed as in a trance.
But I sensed that this time it was different. The Father did not reveal the intentions of his heart to any of us, his angels. We all stood in awe before his powerful throne with a million and one thoughts racing through our heads and confounding our little minds. The Almighty was going to allow this angry, hateful mob to arrest and seize his only begotten son, whom he loved with all his heart. He was going to pour out his wrath by letting them put him to death.
We all knew that Jesus was going to be led like a Lamb to the slaughter but how and when had never been revealed to us by the Father of heaven. Judas stepped out from behind the temple guards and embraced Jesus with his betraying arms. He kissed him on the cheek thereby exposing him as the one that they were looking for. Judas ha
d betrayed his master for thirty filth pieces of tarnished silver. It’s disgusting what some men will do to gain financial independence and wealth for their own selfish life styles. They will lower themselves to lying, cheating and betrayal for a purse full of money. I call that blood money. If I were there I would have killed him without any hesitation. But my will is not my own and I cannot use my sword on my own accord.
The temple guards overwhelmed an already weakened Messiah and attempted to bind him. Suddenly Peter the bold fisherman drew a sword and cut off the ear of the high priests servant. The man’s ear was completely severed from his head and lay painlessly upon the ground. The high priests servant held his hand forcefully upon the wound on his head as the blood gushed and the pain hit him like a sledge hammer. Jesus quickly demanded that Peter put away his sword.
Then he said to them, “Anyone who lives by the sword will die by the sword. Don’t you know that I can ask my Father in heaven to send twelve armies of his angels
