“Well, that was … weird,” Willy said.
“I expected more diversion,” Pea said. “I don’t like his interest in Penny, Sarah, and Elena.”
“There have always been a lot of rumors about the women at Dirty Deeds. He’s just a man fishing for the truth. It’s not something we can do.” Saint turned to look at Rage
“Elena and Sarah are civilians. They’re not really club business,” Willy said.
Saint didn’t want Elena’s identity revealed to all of the club, but it was something that had to be done.
“Elena’s my sister,” Saint said.
There were a handful of men who knew the truth.
“Shit. He’s fishing to find out who is close to you?” Buzz asked.
“I don’t know. That Sean, I didn’t like him. There’s something going on there. I want Liam and Pea watching the shop.”
“I’ll do it,” Pea said.
“Penny’s going to need protection as well,” Saint said.
“I’m already on it. She spends most of her time at the apartment working so it shouldn’t be too much trouble.” Rage had learned the hard way that he needed to wait for her to finish her scene or chapter before she gave him any attention. He loved teasing her, distracting her from her work.
She was a great author.
He’d read a couple of her books while waiting for her attention, and she was busy writing. She didn’t waste time with her writing. There was always a lot of action, a lot of sex, and a lot of romance.
Penny was a romantic at heart, and he’d tried to be different from her other boyfriends, sweet even, which wasn’t in his nature.
“Let’s get out of here,” Saint said.
Riding back to town, Rage made a detour to Melissa’s place. He’d been with Penny for over a week, and each night she came apart in his arms. By morning, she was always the first one up, and part of him was sure she didn’t sleep in his bed beside him. Penny was holding herself back, and even in a week, he didn’t like it.
Parking his bike, he climbed off, and knocked on the door.
Melissa answered looking a little rough for wear. Her hair was all over the place, and her lipstick was smeared.
“Rage? What are you doing here?”
“Pea know you’re screwing about on him?” he asked, stepping into the house, and closing the door. Moving toward the kitchen, he saw the man scrambling to get his clothes on as he stepped through into the room. “Well, well, well, if it’s not the local Councilman Wallace. Aren’t you married?”
“Don’t, Rage,” Melissa said, walking into the room, looking a little more collected than before.
“Pea know you’re stepping out on him?”
“I’ll talk to you another time, Mel,” Wallace said.
“Sure, baby. I look forward to it.”
Rage stared at Melissa wondering how Penny was even related to this woman. She put on a front, and it was fake.
The sound of the door closing didn’t settle Rage’s anger.
“Look, Pea knows, okay? He asked me to screw Wallace and get him on my side.”
“Why?”
“The interests of the club. Ask him if you want.” Melissa tugged the band out of her hair. “I wouldn’t step out on the club. With Wallace on my side, he’s looking away from the club, and he’s married. What can I help you with?”
“I’m going to be speaking with Pea.”
“Go ahead. I’ve got nothing to hide. I care about Pea, and I love the club. You making Penny an old lady means this is how I watch out for her. I may be a shitty sister, but I do love her, and I don’t want anything to happen to her.”
Rage saw she spoke the truth, even if he didn’t like it, not one bit.
“I’m here about Penny.”
“What about her? Is she okay?” Melissa asked.
“She’s fine. I wanted to ask you something about the men she dated before.”
“Ugh, they were total assholes, and they were never considerate to her. Did you know one of the men would only make love to her in the dark? I always hated that.”
“Does she like romance?”
“She likes a guy who knows what he wants. Penny doesn’t need flowers and chocolate, just a man who won’t give up. Have you read her books?”
“Yes.”
“Read them closely. Her fantasies and her dream man are in the pages of her book. It’s what she yearns for.”
Rage nodded. “You didn’t help me.”
“I beg to differ. I gave you the key to Penny’s heart, and they’re in the pages of her books. You’ve just got to be man enough for her.”

Three days later
“They’re nipple clamps,” Elena said.
“What?”
“You put them on nipples. I’d say they were for the woman because of the pretty design, but I don’t think there’s anything to stop you from putting them on men. They’ve got nipples, too.”
“I can’t believe Saint is your brother,” Penny said, glancing toward the sweet woman. She was totally beautiful, and no one would ever for a second believe she was related to the Prez of the Saints and Sinners MC.
Elena sighed.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t pry.”
“It’s not your fault. I imagine a lot of people are curious.”
“Just a little.”
“Mom was totally pissed off with Dad, and she’d had enough of the club. She didn’t like the way Saint was turning out, and she didn’t want me to have the same kind of life. Mom took me away when I was young.”
“I’m really sorry.”
“I’m not. Not really. I missed my dad and brother for a time, and then I just got over it. I had fun, and Mom stopped crying.” Elena shrugged. “So, what do you think, nipple clamps?”
“Not for me.”
“Maybe you could stick them on Rage.”
“Doubtful.” Penny tucked some hair behind her ear and placed the clamps back on the shelf.
“What’s up?”
“Nothing.”
“You’re lying, honey, and lying doesn’t solve problems.” Elena finished placing more nipple clamps on the shelf.
“I don’t know. Rage and I, it’s moving pretty fast.”
“I’ve seen you two together in town. You’re all over each other, and you both look so happy.”
“I guess that’s what I’m afraid of.”
“What do you mean?”
“We’re moving so fast. I mean, my last boyfriends didn’t exactly move at warp speed.”
Elena chuckled. “None of your last boyfriends were bikers. Rage, he doesn’t look like the kind of guy who will wait to show you what he wants.”
“He’s not. Far from it.” Penny’s cheeks heated as she thought about the way Rage was in the bedroom. He was insatiable, and nothing was too much for him. Many nights Penny would almost pass out from exhaustion. It was only fear of her own feelings for the rough biker that kept her awake. She’d wait for him to fall asleep, and then move to her office where she’d sleep the rest of the night, waking well before he ever did.
“I know that face. You’re worried about something.”
“I promised myself I’d never fall for a biker, and yet, I think I am.”
“You think it, or know it?”
“Rage is so, he’s everywhere, and we can talk as well. I never thought we’d have anything in common, and yet we do. I guess I’m just scared,” she said.
“Of what?”
“I’m scared of falling in love and getting my heart broken.” She swallowed past the lump in her throat. “I don’t want to be like Melissa. Whenever he’s at the clubhouse, I worry. I’m not the prettiest girl out there. What if he wants someone else? You see, I never thought like this before him.”
Elena grabbed her shoulders, and gave her a little shake. “Rage cares about you. I’ve never seen him give any woman the kind of attention that he shows you. He loves you.”
“He loves me?”<
br />
“I believe so. The moment he realized you were looking for a place to live, he moved his stuff out, and placed it into storage. He told me and Sarah to make sure to offer you the apartment at a competitive rate. No one else was allowed to have the apartment but you.”
Penny couldn’t believe it, and yet it was one of the sweetest things a guy had ever done for her. “I don’t sleep with him.”
“Why?”
“I mean, we have sex, often. I just, I wait for him to go to sleep, and I sneak into my office.”
“I know you do, princess, and that’s what we’re going to go and talk about.” Rage moved up behind her, grabbed her around the waist, and nodded at Elena. “Have a good day, Elena.”
“She screams for help, I’m coming.”
“The only screams you’re going to hear are her in actual orgasm.”
They left the shop and made their way up toward their apartment.
Their apartment.
Rage hadn’t been with anyone else but her. Every night without fail he’d come home, and they’d spend a great deal of time together.
He released her, and Penny went immediately to her office. By the time she got to her door, she screamed as Rage grabbed her waist.
“I don’t think so. I’m not done with you yet.”
“What the hell are you doing?” she asked.
“We’re going to sit and talk.”
Instead of going to the bedroom, he took her to the small dinner table that was on the other side of the kitchen. Taking a seat, she growled in frustration as he took a seat opposite her.
“What’s the matter?” she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
“First, I don’t appreciate you talking to Elena about your concerns with regards to our relationship.”
“We’re in a relationship.”
“Penny Gilmore, I am in love with you, and I have been for a long time.”
She gasped and couldn’t believe she was actually hearing his words properly. “You love me?”
“I love you, and I love you more than you will ever understand.”
Licking her suddenly dry lips, Penny saw that he wasn’t lying. He was being serious. He took hold of her hands and ran his over hers.
“I know you’ve struggled to adapt to having me in your life. I’m even aware that you didn’t want to be with a biker. The truth is, you’ve got me, and I’m not backing down, and I’m not backing off without a fight.”
“I, erm, I don’t want you to back off. I really don’t.”
“You’re in here.” He touched his chest. “I don’t know what you’re used to with other men, and I’m never going to be like them. I spoke to Melissa, and she told me that some of the men would only make love to you in the dark. I’m not going to be like that. I’m going to want to see your tits swinging in front of my face, and to feel your sweet pussy sliding over my dick. It’s never going to change. I’m not going to step out on you. I love you, Penny.”
“I’m scared.”
“What about? You don’t have to be scared anymore, Penny. I love you, and I’m not going to let anything happen to you.”
She couldn’t take it anymore, so she moved, straddling his waist.
“I’m not used to trusting anyone else. I can’t even trust my sister, and she’s my damn sister.”
“You can trust me.”
“I’m afraid that I’m falling in love with you.”
“Don’t be afraid of it. I fell for you years ago, and I’ve been fighting it for a long time. Is that why you won’t sleep beside me?”
“I didn’t want to fall in love with you, and end up having a life like my sister. I want a man I love and trust.”
“I promise you there is no other woman for me. I love you with all my heart. I’ve waited a long time for you. I’m not going to fuck it up when I’ve finally got the woman I’ve been craving.”
She held his face, and tears fell from her eyes.
“Why are you crying?”
“I never for a second thought I would ever fall in love with a man who made me feel like you.”
He cupped her cheek, running his thumb across her lip, and sliding it inside her mouth. “No more tears.”
“You left this apartment for me, and you were still living here.”
“I wanted you to be cared for.”
“No one has ever been sweet to me before.”
He laughed. “I’m not sweet, so don’t for a second think I am.”
Rage took possession of her mouth, and Penny lost all thought as his tongue plundered her mouth. Moaning, she wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him tight against her body. She rubbed her covered pussy against his rock hard cock. Heat filled her panties, and she was wearing too many clothes. Penny needed him inside her, and she tore at his clothes, trying her hardest to get him completely naked.
“I’m going to have my name inked onto this skin.” He stroked the base of her back. “You’re going to show the world my brand.”
“Yes.”
He kissed down her neck, and she was putty in his hands. The moment he released her tits from the confines of her bra, Penny would have agreed to anything Rage said.
She was falling for him, but part of her wondered if she’d fallen already.
Chapter Eight
One month later
“I hate needles,” Penny said, giving him a pout. The main part of the clubhouse had been sanitized, and Marcus was all ready to give the club the latest batch of ink.
“You’ll do great.”
Rage helped Penny lie on the chair, and lifted up her shirt so that Marcus knew where to put the ink.
Marcus was part of the club, but his kind of ink was award-winning ink, so he had to go where the ink took him. Most of the time he was out of town on business, but when the club wanted him for an ink job, he was always there for them.
“I have to say, I can’t believe little Penny Gilmore finally caved to you,” Marcus said, coming to sit beside the chair.
“Don’t start,” Penny said. “I don’t like needles.”
“I’m damn good at what I do, and you’ll love every second of it.” Marcus gave her a wink.
“Get your own woman.” Rage held onto Penny’s hands, rubbing his thumb across her fingers.
“Okay, let’s get this show on the road.”
“I love you,” she said.
Rage knelt close, took hold of her face, and pressed a firm kiss to her lips. “I love you, too.”
The first time she’d said the words to him over a week ago, he’d been on cloud nine. Now, he was just so damn happy. He saw Pea and Melissa were hanging out at the bar. Since he’d been with Penny, Pea hadn’t shown any sign of jealousy or wanting to tear them apart, which Rage was thankful for. He didn’t want to cause a rift in the club over Pea’s desire. Pea was surprising Rage by actually keeping his dick in his pants.
The moment the needle hit Penny’s skin, she winced, and rested her head on the chair. He left her side to grab a soft pillow to place underneath her head.
“Thank you,” she said.
“I’ve got you, baby. Don’t worry.” He kissed her temple, and grabbed his cell phone. Rage pulled up a game and handed it to her.
She took the game and started playing. Marcus paused to watch, and smirked at Rage. He wasn’t going to say anything to the bastard. Penny was his woman, and he loved taking care of her.
“I’m just going to talk with Saint.”
“Okay.”
He left his phone with Penny, and made his way to Saint and to Elena.
“What’s up?”
“Those bitches were back at the shop again today,” Saint said.
Elena stared at the floor. “They kept asking questions about the club, and what the club was doing. Of course I never said anything, and Sarah was able to take a picture.” Elena took the phone out of her pocket, and handed it to Rage.
“I don’t recognize them.” He handed back the cell phone.
&
nbsp; “Send me the pictures. I’ll forward them to Pipe, and he can tell me if he knows them.”
“It doesn’t have to be that complicated. I can do it. Give me his number and forward the pictures to him.”
“I’m not giving you to Pipe. Your safety means more to me than finding out the identity of those women.”
“I’m a big girl.”
“Pipe’s not part of our club, and I’m not just about to hand my sister over to him.”
Elena sighed. “Fine. There. Messages are forwarded. I’m not here to cause trouble. I just want to help.”
“I appreciate it. The club will protect you, Elena. It’s not like with Mom.”
“Don’t, Saint. You don’t have a clue what you’re talking about, and I’d rather you not think you do.”
Elena walked away, leaving Saint scowling after her.
“You know, there was a time she used to look up to me. Now, I don’t even know if Elena likes me.”
“You’ve both been brought up differently. It has got to change you.” Rage leaned against the bar, glancing back to see his woman was still playing on his phone.
“It’s different now. We’re not kids anymore, and I miss that. When she was younger, I used to hate her chasing after me, and having a great time, giggling, but it was fun. I enjoyed having her around, and teasing her. Shit, man, I shouldn’t be talking about this.”
“You may be the Prez, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have feelings, too.”
“This thing with Pipe and his men, it stinks.”
“Tell me about it. I’ve never seen a guy take over like that,” he said, talking about Sean.
“Sean’s going to try to take over from Pipe, take control of the Hell’s Wolves.”
“When do you think he’s going to make his move?” Rage asked, ready for anything.
“I don’t know when it will happen, I only know it will.”
“You notified the men to be on guard.”
“Yes. It’s not going to go down well for us if we’re not. Liam and Pea are at the shop, and I’ve increased the security,” Saint said.
“Good.”
“So, you’re marking your woman.”
“I’ve got the leather cut for her ready at the apartment. She looks so adorable in my leather cut, but it covers her.” Rage laughed, and his cock tightened at the many memories they’d created in his leather cut. Penny was a rather adventurous lover, and it was taking everything out of him to keep up with her. He loved it.
