Rozalyn 2: Vengeance of the Heart (Rozalyn Series) Page 17

"What you doing here?" Keylan asked taking a seat next to me.

"I am one of the best men, right?" I asked.

"After that stunt you pulled you know damn well Tamar don't want your ass here."

"Well I'm here and I ain't going anywhere," I sighed.

"You not trying to cause no trouble are you? Regardless of what happened between you and Rozalyn Tae still wants to marry her so I hope you not here to try and stop it from happening," Keylan stood up in front of me.

"Nah, I'm here to partake in a very special day just like you. Just tell me where to stand and what to do," I stood up now face to face with him.

"You need to go back to your room, get your shit, and go back home."

"Is that your request or is it Tae's?"

"That's everybody's request," Keylan crossed his arms over his chest and eyed me seriously. "Brandon you crossed the fuckin’ line and in all honesty you don't need to be here!"

Keylan's voice was suddenly loud, echoing throughout the entire beach. Everybody stopped what they were doing and stared at the two of us.

"What the fuck is going on?" Tamar asked walking upon us. He was finishing the last buttons on his tuxedo.

"I was just letting B ass know he needed to bounce. I can see it in his eyes he looking for trouble." Keylan sneered giving me a menacing look.

"Let Tae tell me he don't want me here, nigga asked me to be his best man so here I am ready to be the best man I can be," I said looking from Keylan to Tamar.

"B, you slept with my girl not once, not twice but three fuckin’ times. On the very day I asked you for your fuckin’ help you take her to a damn room! Pretty much the fuckin’ reason she ended up missing and going through all the bullshit she went through! You pull that hoe ass move in front of everybody the other night thinking it was gonna make me have a change of fuckin’ heart about today! All I know is that you a hating ass, manipulative, fake ass bitch! I don't wanna ever see your muthafuckin’ face again hoe ass nigga!" Tamar roared.

"It's like that?" I laughed and clapped my hands together; enjoying the theatrics. "Damn, Rozalyn must've told you how deep I went and how she loved it."

Tamar charged at me knocking me over a pile of chairs, one fist came pounding into my face after another. I rolled over on top of him getting a few punches in myself before being pulled away by Keylan.

"Get the fuck off of me!" I yelled pushing Keylan away.

"Get the fuck out of here B!" Keylan pushed me causing me to stumble a bit. I started kicking all of the chairs, knocking all the flowers, candles, and other decorations to the ground.

  POW!

"The next time I ain't missing!" I yelled after firing a shot at Keylan when he came towards me.

"My nigga you really trippin’ right now!" Keylan bellowed.

"I'm trippin’, ya'll do me like this over a bitch! We supposed to be better than this and ya'll treating me like I'm just any nigga on the street! Fuck y'all, ya'll can have this shit!"

I turned around and walked away, heading back towards my room. I actually came to this bitch ass wedding to give my support and let Tamar know I was gonna step back and keep my distance from Rozalyn but fuck it. These niggas wanna try and play me like an orphan off the damn streets; an outsider trying to beg my way in or something.

Tamar was gonna fuck up real soon and I can guarantee you Rozalyn gonna find her way into my arms just like she always do; I'm a be sure to mark my fuckin’ territory too.

"Get your shit and let's go!" I yelled at Brittany the moment I walked into the room.

"Oh now you ready to go? I told you I was ready......" Brittany started.

"Just shut the fuck up and get your shit! I ain't trying to hear all that!"

"There you go with the bullshit, talking to me like you crazy ’cause that mutt bucket skeezer don't want your ass! What Tae fuck your dumb ass up again for thinking he even wanted a nigga like you standing next to him in his wedding? Ol’ dumb ass nigga! You should've been happy that I wanted your ass, wanted to marry you and have your damn babies but nah, nah you wanna go chase after that half breed bitch that see you for what you really is. A nothing, illiterate, dumb, weak, little dick ass bitch!" Brittany huffed.

Her words stung me even though I knew she was saying all this to me because she found out just like everybody else did that I'd slept with Rozalyn and was hurt by it. She's always been insecure of the relationship and bond Rozalyn and I had but I guess with good reason.

"Really Brittany? That's how you feel?" I asked stopping everything I was doing and looking into Brittany's light brown eyes. I brought my hand up and removed the hair that had fallen into her face. Just looking at her cocoa brown skin, and juicy, full lips made me remember why her 5'7, model built frame attracted me and kept me around for the past 4 years. She has been through hell and back with me. Through bullshit and back again; I loved her, everything about her. But there was always this one flaw that steered me away from her, made me wish she was Rozalyn or someone just like Rozalyn.

"Bran...," Brittany choked up as I placed my hands around her neck.

"Say that shit now Brittany! Say it now," I yelled. My grip became tighter; forcefully I sucked every breath from her body. "You just wish you were her and that I loved you like I love her!"

"Bra.." Brittany slapped and shot snot at me, trying her hardest to get me to release her but all I could see was red. Her fuckin’ mouth was a problem that was the flaw that I couldn’t stand; always saying hurtful shit at the wrong damn moment. Now was not the time for her to try and belittle me like she always did when I did something to hurt her. Couldn't she see that I was hurting too? My boys turned their backs on me and Rozalyn, the girl of my dreams was about to get married too.

I released Brittany and watched her lifelessly fall to the floor, "Say that hoe ass shit now Brittany!" I yelled. I walked back over to my suitcase and began throwing all my clothes into the bag.

"Let's go! I don't wanna spend another moment out here." I said.

After getting no response from Brittany, no back lash, or even a cry I walked over to where she'd dropped to the floor assuming she was pretending to be more hurt than she really was.

"Brittany, get up and let’s go! Stop with the damn drama!" I kneeled down towards Brittany, pulling her onto her back. Her eyes sat wide open, stuck with no life behind them. "Oh fuck! Brittany get up, get up baby!"

I cuffed my hands together, placed them onto her chest and began to perform CPR. I wasn't trying to kill her; only scare her into keeping her mouth closed. She just talked so fuckin’ much sometimes.

"Brittany, baby come on! Don't do this to me! I ain't mean to do it!" I cried seeing there was no response coming from her. "Please baby get up! Get up baby!"

I brought my head down to her chest, listening for a heartbeat or something that would signify that she was still alive. Nothing. I fucked up. I killed her. Tears flooded down my face, falling onto Brittany's lips.

She was dead and now I had to figure out a way to explain this shit.

  24 ROZALYN

  The Most Beautiful Bride Ever

Everything was almost complete; I had my hair done, makeup, and now all I had to do was slide on my dress. My accessories consisted of white pearls that draped around my neck; a bracelet that matched, along with matching pearl earrings. Starr had my hair pulled up in bun with two little curls on each side of my head. Tamar had purchased a tiara for me to wear on my head that was made of real diamonds. It glistened every time the sun hit it so I knew it was worth a lot of dough.

“What you thinking about girl?” Starr asked as she checked my make up once more.

“Nothing I just can’t believe that this is happening right now and my brother and dad are not here to see it. I really wanted my dad to be able to give me away when I got married. You know?” I said.

“Have you talked to your dad?”

“Yea and he pretty much told me that he didn’t have the money to fly down here and couldn’t g
et off of work. And Kevin just flat out said he not trying to have anything to do with it.”

“Maybe they’ll come around later. Don’t let it mess this up for you; you supposed to be happy right now." Starr said. She sat in the mirror and started applying her makeup.

“I am happy I just really wanted them to be here.” I sighed.

“Okay, so don’t trip ‘cause your mother in law is on top of it, but your boy just tore some shit up and we gotta wait for them to straighten it all out,” Brian said walking into the room.

“Who? Tamar?” I asked turning around to look at him.

“Bitch no, Brandon. He fucked up a few chairs and messed up a few of the decorations.” Brian said checking himself out in the mirror”

“Oh my God! Did Tamar see it?” I asked.

“Yea, him and B just had another fight but don’t worry because your mother in law is fixing it.”

“Damn it Roz! Please do not start crying! You gonna mess up your makeup!” Starr yelled.

“He’s gonna call it off isn’t he?” I cried.

“No, he’s not! Just chill out! Brian said that Cheryl was fixing it.” Starr said dabbing my face with a sponge.

There was a knock at the door, Brian walked over to the door and when it opened my brother Kevin walked into the room.

“Kevin!” I exclaimed. I jumped up from my seat and ran over to him hugging and planting kisses all over him.

“What’s up big head?” Kevin said kissing me on the cheek.

“I thought you wasn’t coming. When did you get here?” I asked.

“I been here for a couple of days. I just been hiding from you. I wanted to surprise you.”

“Thank you so much. You don’t know how much it means to me that you are here. Thank you.” I said unable to stop the tears from flowing down my face.

“Even though I can’t stand your baby-daddy I wouldn’t dare miss it. You sure this what you wanna do?” Kevin asked looking me into my eyes.

“Yes, you know I love Tamar.” I said sincerely.

“A’ight. I just came through to let you see that I was here. I tried to get daddy to come but he didn’t really have the money but he told me to tell you that he loves you.”

“Okay. I will call him after it’s over. Thanks again Kevin. I love you.”

“Love you too baby girl.” Kevin kissed me once more then left out of the room.

Once again Starr had to redo my makeup. She had Brian go back out to where the wedding was being held to tell them to hurry up and let’s start before I had a chance to mess it up again.

Cheryl came into the room to help me get into my dress and say a prayer with me. She told me not to worry about things because she had fixed everything and it had it looking better than before. I could look in her face and tell that she was hurt by Brandon’s actions. He was practically her son; although she didn’t give birth to him she did raise him as her own. I know more than anything she would’ve liked to have seen Brandon standing next to Tamar along with Keylan and Taron. I’m sure she would’ve given anything to see that monster Tavon on the side of Tamar as well.

It was finally time. My legs were shaking badly as I made the walk down the halls to the elevator. Everything just seemed too good to be true; not long ago I was being tortured on a daily basis thinking I would never see Tamar again but here I am about to marry him.

The elevator doors came open and a couple of the staff members from the hotel led me to the door that I was to walk out of. Once I made it down the hall that led to the backdoor that led to the beach, I froze.

“What’s wrong?” Starr asked noticing my hesitation.

“My dad,” I said smiling when I saw my dad at the end of the hall way wearing a debonair black tuxedo. He was holding a bouquet of flowers and wearing a smile that brightened my life. I hadn’t seen him since the day he came to take a DNA test to help the MPD prove that I was who I said I was.

In so many ways the DNA test proved that I was more than just Rozalyn. It proved that I was also my father’s child; any doubt that he had all those years that he was absent in my life had been taken away. It was something that he’s always wanted to do but too scared to ask in fear of hurting my feelings.

“You look beautiful,” my dad Korey said once I reached him.

“Thank you and you look handsome. I’m so glad you’re here. Kevin just told…”

“I know; he doesn’t even know that I’m here. Tamar has been calling me every day since you guys have been here and he finally convinced me to come. I’ve never supported your relationship with him but he made me realize that not giving you away on your special day would only add to a long list of regrets that I already have.” He said. “God has given me another chance to be in your life and be there for you and I’m gonna do my best to be a better father to you.”

I shook my head and held my head back to keep tears from staining my face. I was so happy that the only two people that I really cared about being here put aside their differences and came to support me on my day.

“It’s time!” Starr said. She opened the door that led to the beach.

“Yo, pops what you doing here?” Kevin asked as he stepped in front of Starr and Brian and wrapped his arm within in Kayla’s. She was looking really pretty in a maternity gown, her hair was laid in some tight curls and she wore only a little eye shadow and mascara. She looked at me and smiled before turning her attention forward.

“Just got here this morning son. I didn’t want to tell you because I knew you would tell Rozalyn and I wanted to surprise her just as you did.” My dad said handing me the bouquet of flowers.

A beautiful Jamaican melody played through the air; and light drums could be heard not far away. Starr wrapped her arm within Brian’s and they walked down the long aisle right after Kevin and Kayla. Slowly the music changed to a slow melodic tone “Here Comes the Bride.”

It was now time for me to walk down the aisle to join my groom. Slowly my father and I strolled down the aisle. Taron and Keylan stood next to Tamar looking more handsome than ever wearing their all white tuxedos. Tamar was wearing his all black tux very well; I laughed on the inside as I stared at my thug looking very classy and sexy right now. He cleaned up very well for this day and any one that didn’t know him wouldn’t be able to tell that he was a pusher. He flashed a smile filled with diamonds and gold when I made it closer to him. Tamarion sat by his feet wearing a miniature black tux and playing in the sand. Shaking away tears I took a deep breath and silently thanked God for what was about to happen.

“Who giveth this bride away?” The Jamaican minister asked.

“I do.” My father said. He kissed me on my cheek then held my hand out for Tamar to take.

This is it. After today I would no longer be known as Rozalyn McGuay; I would now be an Andrews.

  Part 2

Mistakes will be made. Identities will be revealed. Secrets will be told. Some may lose their soul. Some may be less loyal. Once it’s all said and done whose side will you choose?

  25 ROZALYN

  Not taking no shit

  2 Weeks later

"19 year old Brittany Wilson, whom was reported missing a couple of weeks ago by family and friends has been found dead. Police aren't saying the ‘cause of death or even if they believe there was any foul play involved. She was found in..." The reporter said before Tamar turned the television off.

“Why'd you do that? I was listening to that," I sat up in bed, stretching and yawning.

"‘Cause you don't need to be watching that shit," Tamar said while he buttoned his long sleeved, polo shirt.

"Where you about to go this early?"

"I need to go check on the Condo; neighbors called about an hour ago said they seen somebody hanging around outside," Tamar said.

"Shouldn't you be sending somebody else over there? Why do you need to do it yourself? What’s the purpose of the two security guards?" I questioned suspiciously.

  "I don't think it's reall
y anything serious. I'll be a’ight. Go back to sleep. I'll be back in a lil’ while," Tamar walked out of the room and I waited until I heard his car back out of garage then pull out down the long driveway before jumping up and putting on some clothes. My gut was telling me that Tamar was going to the condo for more than what he said. Okay, okay so I found myself being nosy again and fishing through his personal phone. Sad to say that he was communicating with several different women, one chick named Kari who stated her husband was out of town this weekend and wanted to hook up Friday. Tamar replied to her saying he would be over and little did they know so would I.

I knew Tamar wasn't ready to keep his dick in his pants so I don't know why he was so hell bent on getting married.

"Hurry up Starr; he just left a few minutes ago!" I yelled through the phone while sliding on a pair of gray spandex tights.

"Bitch, I'm coming. Just be ready when I get there!" Starr said.

"Bye," I tossed the phone to the bed and put on a white wife-beater, then a pair of gray and white Air Max tennis shoes. I brushed my hair up placing it in a tight ponytail, and then swept it around the holder into a bun. I didn't know what to expect when I got over there, but all I know is that bitch Diamond text him about meeting this morning to discuss their child that she was pregnant with and Tamar agreed. The way I felt is that if I was his wife then whatever was going to be discussed should be discussed in front of me as well.

Tamar had better stop playing with me, I'm not the same little naive girl that left here a year ago, the shit I went through had changed me and I was not gonna allow anybody to fuck me over. Now that we were married I was entitled to half of every damn thing, all these businesses that Tamar had set-up with his drug money was partially mine now so he better be real careful about the way he treats me. If he thought I was about to bend over backwards and let him dry fuck me then he had me fucked up.

"I was just about to come to your room," I said to Taron who was standing in the doorway of the fridge drinking orange juice from the carton.
