“According to Alice’s confession, when she confronted Micah in the hall, he went for his flashlight, a struggle ensued and she wrestled it away from him, but not before he scratched her neck, breaking her necklace. She hit him on the back of the head, knocking him down. When she realized what she’d done, she dropped the flashlight and grabbed the necklace chain. She didn’t have time to search for the pendant and ran from the scene.”
“The son never heard or saw what happened?” Regan asked.
“The holding cell is soundproof with no windows, so he missed the whole thing. Mrs. Turner and her son are on their way to the Miami Police Station for questioning. Several of the Turner family members found out and started causing problems before disembarking, so a few of them are taking a ride down to the police station, too.”
Millie patted Nic’s hand. “I’ll escort Nadia and Regan off the ship while you handle the paperwork.”
“I hear the port will be back in business in a couple of weeks,” Nic said. “As soon as it is, we’ll make plans for lunch.”
Millie studied her husband’s face. “You mentioned earlier in the week Majestic Cruise Lines was considering a new itinerary for the Siren of the Seas. What happened to that?
“Majestic is contemplating repositioning the Siren of the Seas sometime next spring,” Nic said. “The decision is still up in the air.”
“And where would that be?” Regan asked.
Nic shook his head. “Let’s just say if the decision pans out, it would be somewhere I’m certain my wife has never visited.”
“Oh, how exciting,” Nadia clasped her hands. “I wonder if you’ll do a transatlantic repositioning cruise.”
Nic cleared his throat, a clear sign Nadia may have been onto something.
“You aren’t going to tell me?” Millie demanded.
“Not yet, my wonderful wife. If…and when…it happens, you’ll be one of the first to know.”

Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
Ingredients
Rolls:
1 cup mashed potatoes
1 cup reserved potato water
3/4 cup butter OR margarine
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup hot water
2 envelopes active dry yeast (*I used Hodgson Mill brand: 5/16 oz. pkg.)
1/2 cup warm water (not boiling)
2 eggs
8-1/2 cups all-purpose flour, or more if needed
Filling:
1/2 cup butter OR margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
2-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Icing:
3 cups powdered sugar
6 tablespoons butter OR margarine, softened
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
6 tablespoons milk. (More if needed, adding a tablespoon at a time.)
*Note: You could add a “splash” of orange juice to the icing to tang it up a bit – I didn’t because I forgot to pick some up.
Directions:
-Combine mashed potatoes, potato water, butter, sugar, salt and hot water in large mixing bowl. Stir until butter melts; set aside and let cool.
-Combine yeast and 1/2 cup warm water in small bowl. Let rest 5 minutes.
-Add eggs, 2 cups flour and yeast mixture to potato mixture. Beat until well mixed. Continue adding flour, 1 cup at a time until soft dough forms.
-Knead dough mixture on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic (about 4 to 6 minutes), OR knead with electric mixer using dough hook (highly recommended). Place in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover.
-Let rise in a warm, draft free area about 1 hour, until doubled in size. (It will take you this long to clean up the mess you just made )
- After dough rises, punch dough down; divide in thirds.
-Lightly grease (2) 9 x 13 baking pans.
-Roll one third of the dough on a lightly floured surface to slightly larger than the bottom of the baking dish. Spread with one third of the butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle one third of the cinnamon/sugar mixture over surface. Roll up tightly lengthwise, sealing edges. Cut into slices (about ¾” thick). Place in greased baking pans. Repeat two more times.
-Cover baking dishes. Let rise 30 to 45 minutes until nearly doubled. (Near the end, I warmed the oven and popped them in to speed it up.)
-Bake in preheated 350 degrees F oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
-Cool for 15 minutes.
-Combine ingredients for icing and drizzle over rolls.
* I used Hodgson Mill brand: 5/16 oz. pkg for the active dry yeast, but had trouble getting the dough to rise, so if I made this again, I would try Fleischmann's brand yeast instead.
*This recipe filled (two) 13 x 9 pans. We froze the leftovers in Ziploc storage bags.
