Her Sweet Complication Page 3

by Alyssa Bailey

  "I’m sure," she whispered.

Liam stood for a moment as though thinking through the last few minutes before whispering, "Then let me take care of you."

Jocelyn nodded and looked into his eyes with hunger and trepidation and at that moment communicated the unasked question of her experience, there was none. She knew he might not continue and reached her hand under his shirt to let him know she was fully knowledgeable of the change this would make in her life. She knew the choice she was making. Once again he kissed her and caressed her face sliding down her arms to her waist where he took the tee shirt and began to pull it up over her breasts and her shoulders, on its way to the floor.

Jocelyn reached up her hand to stop the progression of the shirt but feeling the tug for her to release, she did. He unsnapped her bra and she allowed it to fall from her arms as he leaned down to kiss her beautiful, firm breasts watching their rosy nipples tighten and pucker. He ran his hot tongue over the taut tips as her quick intake of breath told of her arousal.

Reaching to turn on the lamp, Jocelyn asked him to leave it off. He hesitated and then agreed to allow her timidity this one time. He compromised by leaving the entry light on for subtle glow and reached for her partially clothed body, lowering her pants and panties to her shaky intake of breath. As he intently watched her, she was able to allow the complete undressing as he took her shoes and tossed them somewhere in the room.

"God, you are so beautiful. You are a gift, a perfect gift. Thank you."

Liam gently laid her back on the bed and worshiped her body. He kissed her again, running his tongue over her nipples and suckled bringing moans and writhing from her before progressing down her quivering stomach to her mons. Jocelyn reached her hand out to stop him and he lifted up to look into her eyes.

"Let me take care of you, Jocelyn. Let me love you."

She moaned again as he lowered his head to find her slit and pry her open with his tongue. Jocelyn tensed as Liam continued steadily running his hot tongue over her wetness alternating between laving her inner folds and exciting her clit with a hard and opinionated tongue seeking what he wanted to entice aggressively. He slid his hands under her ass cheeks to raise her pussy in offering to his tongue as he explored her heated core drawing her closer to her completion. She relaxed, moaned and arched her pussy to encourage her release.

"Liam, I want to, oh God, please let me—I need to come."

"I know, do it, honey. Let go and let me bring you there."

Jocelyn stilled and then relaxed for a moment before her moans became continual. Her hands reached for his hair to touch him and to unconsciously ensure he did not leave her there at the precipice and he didn’t. He growled on her clit as he felt her body tense and begin the explosion of senses. The vibrations brought on by his rumbling broke through the last holding and she fell into bliss. Liam continued to kiss, sucking her clit that brought an erotically anguished cry as her climax extended.

Finally, Jocelyn lay fully sated, smiling and relaxed. Liam quickly stripped and climbed in bed bringing up the covers he had thrown back earlier to combat the rebound chill so common after intense orgasms. She rolled over to rub her flushed, still stimulated throbbing body over his rougher and muscular body feeling for his cock and she hesitated when she felt the aroused hardness of it. He raised his knee to the inside of her knees and gently pried her legs open to allow his hand access. At first she squeaked but as his other hand massaged and tightened on her breast that fit nicely in his hand and he leaned in for a long kiss, she relaxed again.

Soon his ministrations had her writhing and reaching for his cock more confidently in an effort to entice him to complete the penetration and take her virginity. He hissed his efforts at control as he allowed her time to explore him but as he neared his limits, he took back the reins. He held her wrists over her head to present her breasts to him causing her to whimper her arousal and arch her back to encourage his touch.

"Please, I need you to come inside. I need you now, please now."

He accommodated and held onto her while she brought her legs around his muscular middle and marveled at the straining muscles of his arms and thighs. God, he was gorgeous.

"Jocelyn, I am going to help you take this first entry, then I am going to make your first time so good. I promise it will be incredible for you."

He was a man of his word, staying at her entrance long enough to tease her clit and bring her to another orgasm as he took her at just that precise moment. He stilled for a count, fully enveloped in her steamy tightness and reveled in her clenching muscles surrounding his aching cock. Then he began to move rhythmically, in and out bathed in her release. As he picked up his pace, he angled his cock when he was ready to come, to rub on her inner trigger spot instead of her now painfully sensitive clit.

"Now, Jocelyn, I am coming with you so don’t hold back, honey, just feel."

"Oh, I can’t believe I am doing this again, you’re killing me," she said as she succumbed to the rising tide of yet another type of orgasm. The tingling started in her inner bits, not her clit and it was all throughout her pussy, spreading and heating up from the inside out. As her orgasm overtook her Liam pumped harder and faster, hitting her inner bundle while feeling his own building tingle through his tightening balls and internal pressure to explode. He heard Jocelyn cry her release and he pumped a few more times to find his own satisfaction encouraged by her waves of throbbing sex.

He fell onto the bed and as they brought their breathing back under control, he kissed her and teased her breasts before turning her to allow him to spoon her. Jocelyn sighed in contentment before falling into exhaustion induced sleep. Liam laid awake for a bit, sending a quick text to Kelli that Jocelyn would not be back tonight and all was well before following her into a contented sleep.

While the next morning was awkward, Jocelyn was surprised that she was not overwhelmed by the fact that she had given her virginity to a man she had only just met. In her dreams he was someone she had known for a long time, had decided to marry, but the hot sex she could not have imagined. It was more than she could have dreamed up. He was a perfect gentleman as they showered, but she knew he was purposely holding himself back. He inquired several times if she was sore and did she need anything. She loved that he was so caring, but she was experiencing real elements of shyness and did not want to discuss the physical part of the previous night.

Liam brought her back to the dorm after they indulged in a wonderfully leisurely brunch. They spoke about the feelings they were experiencing after the previous night’s encounter. Liam made it very clear he understood Jocelyn needed to work on her goals as did he but they would keep in close contact telephonically and on the computer to see how this might go for them. She lingered outside of the dorm room for some last kisses.

Unfortunately, Kelli opened the door and broke the spell of the moment.

"I thought I heard someone out here. Where the hell were you two? I got a random text from Liam that said all was well and see me in the morning? Newsflash, this is afternoon. Liam, she’s my roommate for heaven’s sake. She is four years younger than you. Pick on someone your own age and closer to where you are."

Liam seemed to choose to ignore Kelli’s ranting, but Jocelyn did not have the same luxury, she now lived with Kelli.

"Kelli, I’m leaving in the morning so I want to make sure you are all set before I go. When we are done here, Jocelyn has things to do and you and I can have some time before I leave, if you like."

"I was invited by a couple of girls I met to go out this afternoon so I’ll have to pass. I am more than set. I am ready to live away from my family for a while, but thanks for bringing me," Kelli said warmly as she leaned over to kiss her brother goodbye. When Jocelyn would have moved into the dorm to get out of the way, Liam blocked her, moving her to the outside while he said goodbye to his sister. He lingered a moment longer as he whispered something to Kelli and she grinned before closing the door behind her.

  "J
ocelyn, I enjoyed our time together and Kelli is right, we are a few years apart and while that might have made a difference in high school, it doesn’t make much difference now. I would like to keep in touch with you and get to know you better. I know it sounds a bit backward, but there it is."

Jocelyn wasn’t sure what to say. "I think that would be nice. I’d like that."

"I don’t intend on being a distraction unless you want one. I only know the smallest bit about you and I am certain there are things you don’t know about me, but I would like to explore. I just want to be able to talk to you and keep up with how you are doing, a muirnín. See if we can take this somewhere. I am not in the practice of being with a woman and then dropping everything. In fact, it has never happened." His tone hardened and his look was irritated.

Jocelyn watched his irritation and assumed it was because he did not like being out of control of the direction of this budding relationship. Silly man, he thought he could control others emotions and reactions.

"I’d really like that, here let me write down my number." Liam took the contact information and put a finger under Jocelyn’s chin to lift her face towards his. Rubbing his thumb over her lips, he leaned down and covered those lips in that same possessive way that once again seemed to stake some kind of claim on land he couldn’t claim, or could he? No matter how she felt about further involvement, it took her breath away and made her heart beat quicker. What would it be like to fall into this man’s arms and let him take over? These were the thoughts that she knew would fill her dreams.

"I know Miss Focused and Determined. But you feel something there and do not deny it to me or yourself. We will just let time figure things out with us. Enjoy your time at school, little one, and keep an eye on my wayward sister, will you, a muirnín? And do not take unnecessary risks. I mean it. There are consequences to your actions even if you are a grown woman now."

She ignored his warning and asked, "A mearnin? What does that mean?"

"A muirnín means my sweetheart, in Gaelic or as my mother says, ‘In the Irish’."

"Oh, I like that. It sounds lovely and when you say it you take on a bit of an accent. I guess a soft brogue, you would say."

"Glad you like the sound of the Irish and the speaker. Goodbye for now leannán."

  "What does that mean?"

"Ask Kelli," he said. He grinned at her, ran his finger along the outline of her jaw, and tweaked her nose before turning and walking down the hall and out the door. Jocelyn walked to the end of the hallway and watched him get into his truck. When he looked up and saw her through the window, he waved and pulled out of the parking lot.

Jocelyn sat in the front commons room for a bit, getting her thoughts together. He has plenty of things that he wants to do these next few years and I have a lot that I need to accomplish. I am not sure how successful I am going to be keeping you at arm’s length, Liam O’Connor. I have to try because I can’t have the sweet interruption to my plans that you most definitely would be. It would be too easy to give in and follow this man to the ends of the earth. With a sigh of regret for the timing, she shook it off and went back to her new digs with her new roommate.

Liam went back to his hotel room and tried to get some sleep. After hours of tossing and turning, always finding his mind returning to Jocelyn who was just embarking on her new adventure in adult living, he decided to start his drive home right away. He showered, made the coffee in the hotel room, decided it was borderline allowed to be called coffee and checked out of the hotel. It was three a.m. and he was surprised to find a donut shop already open. He noticed that there were plenty of people out in this town at this time of the morning and decided it was not early risers but late-nighters. He bought a ‘Texas Grande’ container of coffee and an assortment of bear claws before hitting the road.

Liam found that he could not stay long in other lines of thoughts or listening to the radio without his mind going back to Jocelyn Charles. He recalled her smile, the way she could twist a response to meet her need and his demands. She was intelligent, well-spoken and down to earth. He enjoyed the spitfire in her and she was someone his mother would describe as high-spirited. He could see himself spending more time with her. Forever was not a word in Liam’s vocabulary for any woman as of yet, but if it were on the table, he felt she might be the biggest contender for his heart. But she was right, which was infuriating for some reason. They had just started to meet their goals and they did not need to be sidetracked, but keeping her in his sights was an excellent idea.

Liam had decided to stop over at Yellowstone to talk to the rangers there. He would check in on what assignments he could snag before going home to Sheridan. He often picked up little jobs here and there with them such as brush firefighting or search and rescue as he was well trained in both of those areas. As he concentrated on the road, he reflected on his plans for the next few months. He reviewed the feelers he had out to large working ranches hoping to sign on to gain the needed experience to one day run his own spread and thought of Jocelyn.

Jocelyn had a restless night and she tried hard to blame it on many things. She was anxious about the new environment, a roommate that wasn’t her sister, the beginning of college life and her new library job. She knew that just as this was all true it wasn’t all that was keeping her from resting well. Liam was also the reason. That first night, Liam had called and gotten Kelli who complained she had not had much time to meet many people yet so she had little to tell. Kelli then rattled on about the college rec and athletic indoor sports arena and the "hotties" she had encountered. By Kelli’s face after listening for a few moments, she could see Liam was not as happy to hear about them as Kelli was to tell about them. Finally, she handed the phone over to Jocelyn for a bit of time. She and Liam talked about what he was doing, his plan for the next day and week and hers. When they finally said goodbye, he said, "Goodbye mo milis."

Jocelyn remembered to ask Kelli what that and the earlier one he had said meant and she gave Jocelyn a strange look. "He used the Irish with you? He rarely uses the Irish except when he is emotional, you know, interested or…well, emotional. Tell me what you think he said earlier."

When she told her, Kelli said, "A muirnín means my sweetheart. Mo milis is my sweet, or sweetie, but leannán worries me because it means lover." Jocelyn said that was cute and tried to play it down, but she had no intention of telling Kelli or discussing their activities or conversations of the previous night.

"So interesting that he used the Irish with you, but probably because you seem to like it." Jocelyn shrugged Kelli off, but she wondered as well.

  Chapter Three

  The Conflict

College began in earnest and life got busy for the girls and for Liam. Parents called daily the first week, and then weekly after that. Rachel called several times a week for her ‘big sister fix’ and Liam called almost daily. He would always call Kelli first, and then if she were not answering or with Jocelyn, he would then call Jocelyn. If neither could be located, he would leave an irritated voice message about being safe. But by the end of the first semester, he was down to a couple times a week and sometimes less.

His contact had diminished and he had spoken for less and less time when he did phone. But life was getting full. Jocelyn was busy, but made herself available for his calls that came more infrequently now. She missed his voice. She knew she had put more stock in those conversations than he obviously did because he didn’t seem to miss the closeness of the first few months. She needed to just let it go. Let him go. But it was so hard and her heart ached, the tears were never far from the surface and she hated that she had invested so much of herself in something that didn’t work out. She had been naïve to think that he would care about her.

Jocelyn had calmed down into a routine and she was surprised how easy it was. Before she knew it, it was time to go home for a month. The library didn’t need her and the campus all but shut down during the br
eak, so with five weeks to kill she decided to drive home and see her family. She missed them and wanted to see her sister face to face. Liam had called and said that he would fly out and drive back with them.

The edict incensed Jocelyn while it excited her. While she had dreamed of nothing else but Liam every night since he had left, she felt as though he thought she should wait around for him to give her some of his time. What gave him the right to demand she wait for him and do his bidding when he could not be bothered to call her more than a couple of times a week? And yet she had made herself available for those calls regardless of when they came. Had she not given him a prized possession in her virginity? She could only think that he expected to repeat that night of passion, take her home, dump her and go about his holiday. No, the anger grew as she thought of her sacrifices to a man who apparently cared more about other things than her and she was done. He could drive his sister home but he was not dictating how she went home.

In the next moment, Jocelyn was conflicted because she melted at his voice. She had to change her panties every time she thought of him, dreamed of him or heard him speak. God she wanted him and he was within reach. She knew she had it bad but if he thought that he could waltz in and take over without so much as a ‘by your leave’, he had another think coming. She knew if she stayed, she would be validating his view of a relationship and violating her own standards for herself. She had already thrown a suitcase into her car by the time Liam’s plane landed and while Kelli went to pick him up, Jocelyn drove away.

She didn’t say where she was going and she had heard they decided to leave the next morning. Jocelyn debated turning around to see Liam. She wanted to see him, but she did not want to have him follow her from Sheridan. She didn’t want him at her parents’ home, which had been the plan. They would love him and she was worried about that. Besides, she simply wanted to get home without risking emotional complications. She also knew that she would be hurt if she had those stronger passions come up when she saw him and he did not share that level of emotion.
