“What do we know about him?” Queen Bethany Anne stood staring at the child in the medical bay.
>> Nothing. He’s a ghost. No records of any kind exist for him. <<
“Could he be a lure? Some sort of trap to get a spy into our group?” John Grimes loomed large next to the Queen.
“Really John? How would someone even know where Jeo and the kids were going to be? Besides he was at death’s door. A day longer and he would have died. This is fate or something. Was he carrying anything with him?” She looked at the boy’s face. He had shifted back to human as they pumped his body back up.
>> Something both unusual and disturbing. He had a small gold necklace around his neck. It’s Kurtherian, but not from the tribe we found in China. It’s from one of the Five. Someone took a memory module and covered it in gold. I have our best team looking at it. <<.
“So it’s all up to a starved child to tell us where he came from, how he got to Mongolia, and where exactly he got the object around his neck. Do you think he even knows?” She wanted to brush the hair from the boy’s eyes.
“When he wakes up, we will ask him.” John stared at the child, wondering if he was going to be trouble.

Down on Earth, the battle for technology that didn’t exist any more in that location still carried on. Additional units were called in to fight and to die for their countries.
The Chinese Special Forces discovered quickly that Mongolians were not the pushovers their commanders thought them to be. Modern weapons are a definite match for older ones when it is one-on-one, but not when a half dozen anti-aircraft guns are tossing shells in your direction!
“Have we found anything?” General Chun felt his fortunes dwindling rapidly.
“Our troops captured the scientist and his guide. They were hiding in a section of the walled compound.”
“Did they have the technology?” The General’s eyes gleamed. Maybe he could salvage this after all.
Colonel Jung looked at the heavily sweating man. “No. According to them, they were still chasing one of the Sacred Clan when they were attacked by troops under your command. They claim that there were at least three TQB pods at the battle site and that TQB personnel made contact with the Sacred Clan survivor. If he had any technology, they have it now.”
“Have our people searched the area where the pods were seen?” The General looked at the map.
“They have. But several members of the IAU force are here to see you.” The Colonel smiled at him. Her eyes told a far different story.
Four huge men in Special Police uniforms accompanied a Special Operations Major. “General. You are under arrest for crimes against the People and the State. Please come with us.”
Looking at the two large men that now stood beside him, he sighed. His dream of an empire was gone for good.
This he wouldn’t survive.
“Colonel Jung, take over for me please.”
“That has already happened, Chun. You have much to answer for.” She turned away from him and studied the map. Maybe she could find a solution out of this mess before it was her taking the long walk too.

Working on this chapter to Alpha Class was special to me. It gave me the chance to write and fill in the backgrounds for many of the characters included here. Using the original storyline with a touch of real world history thrown in the Kutherian Gambit world has now been expanded yet again. As I personally grow in my writing so do the students of the Etheric Academy in general. Expect many more details to emerge as we expand and move out into the universe as a whole.
Now that this book is complete I'll be continuing my Federal Witch series. Book 4, Witness Enchantment is next.
After that I have a possible New Athena Lee Universe book as well as a couple of Cookbooks.
I trained as a Chef once and even went to Culinary School. Beyond that? Maybe a mystery or two. We will have to see. Be sure to check my website and Facebook pages for updates, snippets, and other news.

Thank you for both reading these stories, and blessing Scott and I by reading these author notes!
This book is the second in the series, and things are coming together for the characters. One of the pieces that I particularly found enjoyable were the aspect of history Scott tossed into the book. Scott tends to be a fountain of cool information with history. I guess that is a good thing since he went to school as a History major.
As a fiction reader, I haven’t found history to be a favorite subject (especially not in high school). Personally, I enjoyed fantasy books WAY more than history ever caught my attention. However, the History Channel can damn near make moving sand around (to find something older than bread) interesting to me. Enough so that I’ll sit there, and learn about more moving sand around just in case they find something interesting, again.
So, this week we will be releasing three books in The Kurtherian Universe. These include this book (woohoo!), Craig Martelle’s Nomad’s Fury, and CM Raymond and LE Barbant’s The Rise of Magic. If we can EVER get a cover for their book for
Soon, we will have a total of 34 books in the Universe, with four more (possibly five) due by the end of the month.
That is freaking fantastic!
By the end of the year, I suspect we will have upwards of 60 or more books in TKG. We will have multiple areas for authors to ‘play’ in and various genre’s of books. I think the only type of book (so far) we haven’t considered is a kid's ABC book (“B” is for Bethany Anne, whose red eyes are looking out to protect you!)
I sincerely hope you stick around for this wild ride! I think we will do good things, hit a few bumps along the way, fix a few potholes and generally speaking, have a blast with fans and authors alike!

Chef Norman's Key Lime Pie
Ingredients
1 can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
5 egg yolks
1/2 cup of Key lime juice. Regular lime juice can be substituted
1 predone graham cracker pie crust from the grocery store.
Optional
Whipped cream
Sliced limes
Steps
1. Beat the eggs
2. preheat the oven to 375 degrees (190 C)
3. mix the eggs, milk, and juice together.
4. Pour the mixture into the pie crust
5. bake in the oven for 15 minutes
6. Allow to cool and top with whipped cream and sliced limes
