Orphan Black Classified Clone Reports

And Cosima and I have each other.

We have the cure. We have been seeking out Leda clones all over the world and inoculating them against the disease. We were too late to save the Castors, but we may still save the Ledas. According to the information provided by Rachel—an attempt, it seems, at redemption on the part of the prodigal sister—there are 284 Ledas out there. We have the information we need to find them and make sure that they live long, healthy lives.

But even as Cosima and I work to save her sisters, we also work to save ourselves. Ours has been a difficult road, from my time as her monitor to her time thinking I was dead after I was shot to Siobhan and I attempting to expose the Neolution Board of Directors to our discovery of the importance of the LIN28A protein to finally getting Cosima off the island and back with her sisters. We have been through life and death together. It is my hope that we will now only have to worry about living life together.

Perhaps we might even be able to bring a life of our own into the world. Even with the cure, the Leda clones remain barren, but I am not. . .

Cosima said something the other day, and asked me to write it in the diary. I told her she could, but she wished me to write the final entry. It is this:

Evolution cannot be imposed from above—or from below. It comes from the side and hits you in every possible direction before it is through with you. It is the perfect melding of order with chaos, as random environmental factors clash to bring about an orderly development. The arrogance of John, of Susan and Ethan, of Dr. Coady, of Aldous was that they all believed they bring universal order to a process that cannot function without constant chaos. Many people died chasing that dream, including the five of them.

Those of us who still live will fight for life to continue in all its mad, chaotic glory.

This is the final entry in this diary. I have placed it with the other material, including Cosima’s own entries, in the hopes that it might bring wisdom and understanding of what has happened to me, to Neolution, to Project Leda, to my dear Cosima and her sisters.

  Au revoir,

  Dr. Delphine Cormier
