And those lips, that wicked grin of his that could say a thousand dirty things without him ever having to utter a single word. She didn’t know which she loved more—the simple sight of his cocky smirk or the feel of those sexy lips against her sensitive skin.

That was a total lie—she knew which she loved more. The fact she could still see that panty-dropping smirk in her mind while that very same smirk turned into a full-blown grin against her skin had her toes curling and her chest heaving. Yes, that damn smile of his was forever imprinted in her mind. And she loved that she could tell now how his lips stretched just a tiny bit more whenever it was aimed at her.

She had whimpered before whispering, “Logan.”

He was so deep. So hard.

Her wide eyes stung—her lips parted with quick little pants until her throat felt dry. And he never stopped. He never let her even think of taking it slow or easy. He knew what she really wanted, and he wasn’t going to disappoint.

“You can take it, Hood,” he’d told her.

And she did. Oh, boy, did she take it. She took every single inch of him until he made sure he was buried so deep she was gasping for breath and shuddering under his masterful hands. Those hands that never strayed from her body for too long—those hands that held her down when he didn’t want her to buck up, or hoisted her higher when he knew he could thrust just a little bit deeper.

The man knew what he was doing, how he wanted her to bend or rock her body against him, and she gave no protest when he molded her body into whatever position he desired. He probably knew her body more than even she did now—and she surrendered herself to him completely.

But that didn’t stop her begging. Pleas for him to go harder and faster left her lips in breathless cries. Not that she needed to beg, really. Logan was a giver, and she loved every bit of his generosity. This was simply the effects of being completely consumed by Logan Grimm. Her mind and her body were no longer hers—she had given every part of herself over to him.

  And he’d worshipped her.

“He let you see her?” Logan’s present voice struggled to register within the smacking flesh and grunts of satisfaction that memories played out so vividly behind her eyelids. “Is she—”

As he stopped short, his words from last night took over. “Goddamn, Hood . . . Fuck, baby—keep going—just like that.”

The black sheets had bunched up in her fist. She didn’t know when he had pushed himself up onto his knees. Maybe he was pacing himself or changing positions; she didn’t know—all she did know was he had growled out his approval for her bold actions. She rhythmically lifted her hips upward to meet his forward thrusts. If there was a slow speed for Logan, this was it. Maybe—she couldn’t tell with how powerful the movement from him was, but she knew she was suddenly moving faster than him.

He didn’t seem to care. He didn’t change his pace and only watched her frenzied movement below, captivated by her breasts bouncing from her efforts to create more friction between them—and when she heard his praise, she wanted nothing more than to hear it again.

  “Oh, yes. Oh, God, Logan.”

There it was again, that irresistible smirk. He knew she was close. Hell, he’d already made sure her body was a quivery mess with that skilled tongue of his before he ever rubbed his ready cock against her slick folds. The man knew exactly what he was doing to her, and just how much she was enjoying it—how badly she needed more.

There was no doubt in her mind he knew this was sweet torture. With one hand holding them steady, his other left the breast he’d been teasing to ghost over her flat stomach until the pad of his thumb brushed over her sensitive bud.

  “Oh Jesus!”

Her back arched as her head dug farther into the mattress, and her shouts continued until he pounded them into silence.

Too much to feel. It never seemed to stop, tensing and convulsing without any control over her own body. But Logan reveled in watching her fall into oblivion.

Fireworks had nothing on what she felt. A damned nuclear explosion was more like it. She couldn’t stand it, but she couldn’t stop from wanting it to last forever.

“I’m not being a pussy.” Logan’s words barely pulled her attention to the present, and to his mysterious conversation.

“I just understand him,” he told this person. “I don’t deserve to see her—I know!” His angry outburst had come out a lot louder than he probably intended, and he quieted himself before speaking again. “I know. I was just being selfish and weak.”

“Feeling weak?” That’s what he’d asked when she finally pried her eyes open, and her trembling thighs regained some of their strength.

She had stared at him, watching that sexy smirk tease the corner of his mouth as he picked up his pace again. He obviously knew he already had another orgasm building in her.

  “Did you like that, baby?”

She could only nod because, once again, he had control over her body and her mind was slipping away with it.

  “Of course you did.”

His words brought a halt to her surrender. As much as she loved submitting to his desire and touch, she wanted to know she could do the same for him.

And hell if she didn’t feel proud of herself when she finally watched a slip in his control. She’d forced her tired body to resume the upward thrusts she’d first seen him react to, but that wasn’t what cracked his composure. What seemed to make Logan lose his self-control came when she reached down to where his hand lay relaxed just below her navel. He was still pushed up on his knees, his pace steady as ever, as he waited to see what she would do.

Perhaps what she did wouldn’t have been sexy in someone else’s eyes, but for Logan, her pushing his hand to mirror the firm hold he had on her other hip, and then wearing her own smirk as she began massaging her clit while her free hand roughly squeezed a hold of her breast was sexy.

That was when she caused Logan Grimm to lose his mind.

  “Fuck me, Logan.”

If she thought Logan had been relentless before, she didn’t know what to call him now.

He lost all the control he had over himself, and all she could do was stare in awe as his eyes squeezed tight and his head tilted back with an animalistic sound spilling free from his mouth. She’d never seen anything so beautiful. She couldn’t decide where to look. She was torn between watching his abdominals and chest flexing in time with every powerful snap of his hips, or the feral glint in his eyes when he looked at her again and gave her everything he had.

Her breath had stopped passing in and out of her lungs. All she could do was hold on to her own breasts as he took her body over once again—literally the only thing she could do was hold on for the ride as he leaned over her and plunged himself into her harder and harder. Her own abs felt rock-hard from flexing when he rearranged his grip so he could angle himself to increase both their pleasure.

She couldn’t even think—she just squeezed her breast as her other hand gripped her thigh.

No breath. No words. Only grunts, whimpers, growls, and moans filled the space between them—their synchronization completely lost to the frenzied pace Logan had taken. Until finally, she felt a surge of warmth and fullness as Logan roared into the room. Her own shouts of ecstasy mixed with his rough words of praise as he pressed himself closer, rotating his hips into a slow rock between them.

“Damn, Hood.” He pressed a wet kiss to her forehead and slowly eased himself out of her.

  “Ow,” she cried.

The sudden emptiness inside was hard to comprehend. It had hurt and felt so full and deep, but so good she missed him filling her instantly. He pressed another kiss to her forehead before pushing himself up. A sheet was lazily draped over her as he moved to stand.

“Let me throw this away and get a washcloth for you. I’ll be right back.” Before he left the bed, though, he leaned back over to kiss her softly. “Sleep, honey.”

“Yeah,” he said, in the present again, as the bed shifted a bit.

>   Kylie opened her eyes to stare into the room.

“I don’t care what he says,” he told the person on the phone. “I’m your brother—I want to be there when you find him. Trevor was my responsibility. I’m the one responsible for him not getting locked away.”

Kylie blinked. It was still dark, and she still felt as tired as she’d felt when Logan left the bed. In fact, she couldn’t recall him getting back in bed with her; she’d fallen asleep as soon as he entered his bathroom to dispose of his condom. Taking in the fact he appeared to still be as naked as she was, she assumed he must have been asleep with her before taking this call.

She wanted to groan and go back in time to relive everything again. It had been nothing like the stories she’d read. He’d been nothing like the men she’d read about, making love to their girlfriend for the first time.

There was no hesitance from him. She’d asked him to make love to her, and he’d done just that. Well, she didn’t know if anyone besides them would consider it making love. She supposed she thought he’d do the same as most guys—asking if she was sure, making sure she was ready, and offering to take it slow or stop if it hurt. But no, there was none of that.

Logan didn’t need to ask. He knew. He knew she was ready for him. Hell, he’d had proof she was ready to take him on his tongue. Most of all, he knew they loved each other and both wanted this.

And sure, it hurt, how could it not? She’d never had anything but a tampon shoved inside her, so the sudden magnificence of Logan’s dick moving in and out of her was astonishing. She didn’t have anyone to compare him to, but she knew Logan Grimm was a god among mortal men. Yes, it was the good kind of hurt you couldn’t help but wish for again and again.

It wasn’t like the books. He’d pushed himself in without a word—he’d held her tightly, and as soon as he sheathed himself in her completely, he didn’t still himself to give her time to adjust. No, he’d muttered curses under his breath about how tight she was and ground himself into her as deeply as he could get, which hit and rubbed all the right spots. He gave her everything he had, and that’s all she wanted.

Logan ran his hand through his hair and growled. “Is there a way to get in, but leave when this is over?” He sighed, frustrated. “I’ll figure out what to do, then. Just keep Dad from renouncing me until I talk to you first.”

Kylie forced herself to concentrate on the now. She’d lost her virginity to her boyfriend on her birthday. Her boyfriend who loved her and gave her the sweetest birthday she’d ever had—then made love to her until she begged him to fuck her brains out.

She’d never live down ‘super freak’ from him now. She smiled about it but pushed everything away. Something was going on, and she wanted to find out what it was.

“No, she’s moving in with me. . . . I’m sure.” He chuckled. “Yeah, I thought he’d tell you more.” Silence. “I know. I should have listened to you both. It’s good to talk to him again—to both of you.” He was quiet, but there was a smile in his voice. “You’re still a dick. Yeah, yeah. I’m not a little punk anymore. I’m the champ, you know?”

Kylie smiled as she realized he must be talking to his brother.

“Really?” he said. “I’ve actually been considering taking that fight, but he’s out of my weight class. He’s too big—I’d have to talk him into meeting me halfway. I can gain weight easy, but he’s huge. Mark said he’s a near perfect match to Ryder—what do you think?”

She was worried over the fight. She remembered them talking about an undefeated fighter when she’d last gone to his gym, but she was happy to hear him sounding relaxed again. There wasn’t much he’d shared about his brother, but she knew things weren’t perfect. Maybe it would get better. Maybe having his dad back would help him come to terms with everything he’d hidden away in anger.

“Hm,” he hummed. “Well, I doubt Ryder will help me prepare now anyway.” He sighed at whatever response he heard. “I deserve whatever punishment he gives me. I, um, think I saw him wake for a moment.”

Kylie could barely stay quiet. This was something to do with their legacies. She recalled Ryder had sounded a little off.

“I felt it,” he said quietly. “I could barely breathe. I managed to recite a quote from Death’s Angel, and he finished it—it calmed him down.”

Well, Kylie had no idea what that meant. She hadn’t felt anything. Well, no, she had. The tension in the room had become unbearable, but that wasn’t unexpected—Ryder always made the world shift around him.

“I don’t know,” Logan said. “He just kept staring at her, then he told me to train Kylie.” He leaned forward, rubbing his neck. “I don’t know if I can live unless she’s finally free. This is completely different from the rape. I don’t know if she’ll come back. Savaş said she wasn’t eating.” He took a deep breath. “How? He’ll kill me. Just like you want to. And if Dad renounces me, I won’t ever see her.”

Kylie’s heart felt like it was being crushed as she watched him rubbing his eyes. He was silent as he listened to his brother, and she prayed he was receiving comforting words, not confirmation that his brother wanted to kill him.

“No, it was Kylie’s birthday today—well, yesterday. She hasn’t been able to celebrate or anything since her dad died.” He got quiet. Really quiet. “What? Who told you that?”

She held her breath, squeezing her eyes shut when he looked over his shoulder at her.

“There has to be a mistake.” He lowered his voice. “Kylie isn’t her.”

Her mind raced with worry. What was he being told about her?

He released a harsh breath “Okay. I’ll call him tomorrow. I don’t want to make Kylie upset about anything with Janie—she can’t stand her.” There was a loud reply, but Logan spoke again, “No, it’s normal. I hate Ryder, so it’s fine for her to hate Janie.” His voice was strained, and his muscles twitched. “I choose Kylie.”

  Her mouth fell open.

“It’s not stupid. Luc doesn’t have shit on her.” Logan was so defensive now. “Look, I don’t want to argue with you. Promise me you’ll find out what can be done. I won’t let any of you down. Not again. I just need to right everything, then I’ll go.”

There was an angry-sounding reply, but she couldn’t make it out.

“Then be my big brother instead of one of the pack,” he bit out.

  Silence.

Kylie didn’t like hearing him talk like this. She’d meant it when she said she’d help him, but it sounded like he already had his own plans. He was leaving his chance to find Janie—to find himself—for her.

He started talking again. “A rogue? Does Ryder know?” He listened to a reply. “You don’t know their identity?” More silence. “Could it be Uncle? Or Dad? How long have they been loose?”

He sat up straighter as he listened. Kylie didn’t know what the hell he was talking about now. This was the first time she was hearing of an uncle. Trevor’s dad, she figured.

“All right,” he said, calmer. “Will you tell me though—if it’s someone I know?” He shifted as he waited. “Thanks. Um, if you see her and she’s awake, will you just tell her I love her? She already knew I was picking Kylie; I told her that night, but I wanted to talk to her more. I didn’t think I’d have to say goodbye so soon.”

He covered his eyes, nodding. “Thanks. Yeah, I’ll be careful with Luc. I have no idea what’s going on, but I remember the story—she was with Luc.” Logan tensed up. “Ryder won’t leave her. Why would you think that?”

His muscles were twitching. “I can’t choose Janie.”

  Oh my God.

He balled his fist as he sat up straight again. “No, I’m with Kylie, and she’s not her. I don’t believe that at all.” He didn’t say anything for a long time, and his entire body was tight.

His voice broke when he spoke again, “Just tell her she’s still my forever. But she was right; there’s love beyond that, and my love for her stops at forever. It’ll stay in those woods—in our spot—forev
er.”

  Kylie covered her mouth.

“Yeah, well,” he said bitterly, “I guess I’ll see you when one of us dies.” He lowered the phone, but he didn’t make any move to come lie back down with her.

What was she supposed to do? He was really choosing her. He was choosing her over Janie, over his family, and his legacy.

Looks like you got him all to yourself after all.

She kept quiet as Logan stayed bent. Her heart hurt, and not from jealousy this time. This time, it was sadness that Logan was going to rip himself apart. For her. She wanted Logan the way he was—her man-boy with all his cockiness and perverted comments—his blunt way of telling her what he wanted.

She wanted him all of him. All of him came with a big dose of Janie Mortaime. She’d just have to take what she could get, and eventually, things with Janie would become distant—she was certain of it.

  “Logan?”

He tensed up, but he didn’t turn or respond.

Kylie sat up before crawling to him. She touched his tight shoulders before leaning down to kiss them. “I won’t force you to do anything you don’t want to, but I don’t want to be the reason you walk away from Janie or your family. You won’t be my cocky Logan Grimm if you do that, so please don’t make these decisions just because you think it hurts me.”

“It does hurt you.” He didn’t lift his head. “You hate her. You hate that I can’t let go of what I feel for her. I don’t blame you, but I have to choose. I need to devote myself to you, not to her. She has Ryder and Luc. She has the whole pack and”—he sighed—“my family. You’ll hate to see how much my dad and brother love her. I’m not going to lie, baby. They’ll pick her over you, and I can’t hurt you more with that when you see us all dote on her.”

Her eyes watered. She wanted to be special to his remaining family, and it hurt to hear him admit Janie would come first to them.
