Michael MOORCOCK became editor of Tarzan Adventures in 1956, at the age of 16, and later moved on to edit The Sexton Blake Library. As editor of New Worlds from 1964 until 1971, he had a hand in the development of the New Wave. Moorcock’s best-known creation is the Eternal Champion saga in which various heroes, such as Elric, Hawkmoon, Corum, etc. are multiple identities of the same champion across many dimensions called the Multiverse. Moorcock’s other literary accomplishments also include the Jerry Cornelius (himself an avatar of the Eternal Champion) series and the Colonel Pyat tetralogy which began in 1981 with Byzantium Endures.

Bob’s Outer Edge Entertainment company is currently in preproduction on a remake of Judex, for which he wrote the screenplay When not escaping into worlds of fantasy and imagination, Bob coaches Soccer (eight years at it now with a record of 32-4-4) and basketball. He has a patient wife in Ann and their four kids, Abby, Rob, Matt and Kara (named after the lass from Krypton). Two Hunters is his first short story.

5 This is likely Unit 731, a secret military medical unit of the Imperial Japanese Army based in Pingfang, which conducted research in biological warfare during the Second Sino-Japanese War and World War II.
6 A special project of Unit 731 used human test subjects, dubbed maruta (“logs”), for their experiments. Whether this term originated as a joke, or from the fact that the official cover story was that Unit 731 was a lumber mill, is unknown.

A number of their scientists have come to work for us since the end of the war; a great number, however, have disappeared in unexplained circumstances.

11 The rest is illegible. We did find a fragment of what might have been that notebook amongst the charred remains of the bunker. Upon analysis, it appears to have been bound in human skin. The exact signification of the butterfly motif remains unknown; however, it is worth noting that many American G.I.s who fought in the Pacific Theater wore butterfly tattoos.
