Just Ride: Legion of Guardians

by Turner, Xyla

“Come on, I really want this,” he begged.

The boy looked just like her. Sandy blond hair, light eyes, and the same skin tone. He had to be her son.

Quickly finishing with the other customer, I walked over behind her and said close to her ear, “Fancy meeting you here.”

Her stubborn ass did not even turn around, she simply whispered, “Fuck.”

“I’d like to. Thanks for asking.” I was still whispering as the boy was several feet away from her, looking at the signed baseball cards.

“Will you leave me alone? For once. I don’t know you. I don’t care to know you. I don’t like you, and my friend has a black eye because of you. So fuck off.” She hissed.

“Sweetheart,” I looked at her exposed neck that was begging for my mouth to latch onto. “It’s you that needs to leave me alone. You keep coming to me.”

This made her turn around. “How do I keep coming to you?” She said through gritted teeth, attempting to whisper.

“You came to my bar and now you are at my store.”

Those hazel, seductive eyes went wide, while her pouty lips turned up in disgust.

“Listen, Razor.” Oh, she knew my name. “Just because you’ve been here for awhile and you started a club, doesn’t make everything in this town yours. I was born and raised here. If anything, it’s mine.”

My hand involuntarily went to her waist, so I could pull her into my body that so desperately wanted to feel her. I bent my head towards her, completely invading her space. I did not give a fuck.

“Sweetheart, I own both buildings outright. My name is on the deed and the business license. That makes ‘em mine.” Her head went back, and then she lowered her eyes to the floor. Grabbing her chin with my forefinger and thumb, I lifted it up as my lips hovered near hers.

“Oh.” She tried to push away, but my grip tightened. “Then I guess the city has really come to ruins.”

  I laughed.

“On the contrary. The city is doing the best it has in the last seven years.”

“Auntie.” The boy walked up to us. “Who’s this?”

  Auntie?

“Oh, nobody.” She pushed and I let go. “You ready to go?”

When I looked at the boy, recognition set in as his eyes got wide and his mouth formed the letter ‘O’.

“Oh my God! You are Xander Willis, only the best pitcher Pennsylvania has ever produced. You played with the Phillies and broke records people are still trying to break. Struck out Bennie Abreu and nobody strikes him out. I was just watching a documentary, and you were being featured.” He turned to his aunt without losing a breath, “Auntie, do you know who he is? This is Xander Willis. Can I take a picture with him and get an autograph, please? Auntie, please.”

When people knew that side of my life, it bothered me. I wasn’t the same person, but at that moment, it kept me in the company of Kylie Mills. I’d take it. Shit, I’d take anything.

I saw myself crossing the line with her, and fuck if I didn’t know, there would be no turning back.

“Uh,” those mesmerizing eyes looked at me. “Sure.”

“Great!” I clapped my hands. “What’s your name, kid?”

  “I’m Will,” he said proudly.

“Nice to meet ya, Will.” I saluted him. “Mace, get over here.”

“Okay, dad.” He dropped the duster just as her eyes widen at my title.

“Can you set up the phone to take an automatic picture?” I asked him.

  “Yeah.”

  “With mine too.” Kylie added.

  “Yes, ma’am.”

Kylie looked at me again in shock. Then she said under her breath, “At least bad manners don’t run in the family.”

I laughed again, but this time she stared at me. There were no funny comebacks or smart remarks; her eyes were simply trained on me.

“They are both set,” Mace said and broke the haze between us.

“Get in here.” I held out my left arm so he could fit in and pulled Kylie, who pulled the boys closer together.

“It’s going to be three blinks.” Mace instructed.

After the picture was taken, I tagged her hand and pulled her with me in the back.

“We’ll be right back,” I said to the boys. “Mace, show Will my card, so I can sign it for him.”

“Really! Oh my God!” the boy exclaimed.

When we reached the back, I pulled her to me and asked, “Why don’t you fuck with bikers?”

“Why does it matter?” she snapped back at me.

Kylie’s body was pressed against mine, and my hands were on her ass. Those heels made her taller than most other women, and her eye was healed for the most part and now just slightly red. My hand moved the hair out of her face so I could see it all.

  She was fucking beautiful!

“How old are you?” I asked as my lips hovered over hers.

“Too young for you.” She held her chin up, bringing her lips closer to mine.

She was not fighting me. Shit, as a matter of fact, she was challenging me.

“You think because these are business hours, I won’t spank,” I swatted her bottom, “that ass?”

“Oww,” she yelped, turning that gaze into a glare. “I am too young.”

“Too young for what?” I caged her in with my leg. “For you, I’d make an exception.”

“No, that makes you a sell-out. There’s a reason you don’t mess with young girls so stick to it.”

The side of my lip curled up. “Is that so?”

She slightly nodded her head. “We’re too immature, right? Have some growing up to do. More life to see. Don’t want an old man bossing us around cause we’re young and independent and shit. Right?”

  She was sassing me.

  To my fucking face.

I slapped her ass hard, then wrapped my fingers around the back of her neck and took her lips. She yelped, but that was cut off by my tongue invading her mouth. Fuck if I knew she would suck on it.

  Goddamn.

My hand was still on her ass, so I gripped it and rubbed it against my raging dick. I was hard as a goddamn rock, and I could not take her back here.

  Fuck!

The doorbell chimed, pulling me out of the searing kiss that left her wobbly and slightly dazed. Her forehead rested against my shoulder as she whispered, “Somebody is here.”

Damn. If only I could have her all to myself. Like this. Against me, trusting me, leaning on me because she was mine. Shit, I’d fight for that.

“Yeah.” I cleared my throat. “And for the record, among those reasons why I don’t fuck with younger women, Kylie backed away so she could see me as I let her go, is I don’t have the patience to train them to take my cock the way I like it. They’re usually too tight.”

She smirked, then said, “Most women my age have had sex before, Razor.”

“No doubt.” I nodded and headed towards the door. “In the pussy, sure.”

Her eyes grew wide. “Oh my…” Kylie started to say.

“In the ass, well…” I shrugged. “But for you, I’d find the patience to train you to take me every way I like. That, I guarantee. And you’d love it.”

Her face grew pale, but I left before I turned back around and showed her the other way I’d take her.

Now that I had a taste, I wanted more.

  Too blunt

  Kylie:

  No, he did not!

  Oh yes he did!

Razor just kissed me, and I think I grabbed his hair to pull him closer. He simply devoured me, and I let him.

  Oh, yes I did!

Once I gathered myself together, I left the back room sporting hard nipples and wet panties. The first thing I heard and almost choked on was Razor’s son’s question.

“Dad, can Will and I hang out? We’re the same age and love baseball.” He spread a range of cards on the counter in front of his father. “See, he knows all of these guys.”

Razor nodded his head at the miniature heart
crusher version of him. “Those are some of the greats.”

Razor held out his fist to give Will a pound, which he gave right back.

“I don’t see a problem with it,” he sang as he turned to me. “Auntie?”

Three pairs of eyes bored into me, as I shook my head and said, “It’s fine by me.”

“Yesss,” Both boys yelled, giving each other a high-five and smiling from ear to ear.

Razor looked beyond me and asked in a stern voice, “What can I do you for?”

Turning my head, I saw that the guy was looking at me, but he had on a hoodie, concealing his entire face yet it was only sixty degrees outside. Razor came from around the counter and headed towards the guy, who quickly retreated and left for his car outside.

“Don’t like the way he was looking at you.” Razor muttered.

“You’re not my protector, Razor. I can take care of myself.”

His eyes slid to my lips when he said, “It’s normal to be scared, sweetheart. Don’t worry, though, when I bite, you’ll like it.”

He tagged my hand for the second time today and said, “Plus, I’d still protect you.”

Why that made me feel safe around him was ridiculous. I actually felt like I could trust him to do what he said. It made sense, I guess. He had already demonstrated that he would, even if I didn’t let him.

The question was, would he protect my heart, like he would protect my womanly honor?

Fucking bikers and their sex appeal.

After an hour of the boys and I do mean, the two younger boys and the big boy talked about players, cards and all the happenings of the baseball world, I finally cajoled Will into leaving so we could meet up with my mom.

“Let’s grab some hoagies later,” Razor did not ask.

I started to shake my head no, but Will started nodding his head yes.

“I’m afraid that I need to take care of mom then we need to get home.”

Crap, I didn’t mean to say that out loud.

“I see.” He nodded at me, “Well, how about you leave Will with us and I’ll drop him off later.”

“Oh no.” I shook my head. “I barely know you and my sister would kill me if something happened to him. You’re an uh,” I turned to look at his son. “Uh, I don’t think that would be a good idea.”

“Boys,” Razor said sternly with his eyes still on me. “Give us a minute.”

They scurried off to the side.

  “I’m a what?” he said.

  “A biker.”

  “So.” He was not flirting.

“So, I’m not sure what type of shit you deal with. That’s my nephew, and I still don’t know you. So, I don’t feel comfortable leaving him with a virtual stranger. I don’t give a fuck how long you’ve lived here. All I know is that you wear a cut that says your name and title. That doesn’t tell me shit.”

He assessed me for a bit, then pulled out his phone and called a number.

“Razor?” A familiar woman’s voice came through the phone.

“Yeah, I got your girl here who is saying she won’t let her nephew stay with me because she doesn’t know me. Will you vouch that I won’t kidnap the boy.”

She started laughing and that was when I realized it was Shay.

  “Shay?” I asked.

“Yes, girl.” She chuckled some more. “I swear you both are made for each other. Is this some crazy ass foreplay that y’all use before you finally have sex or something? Shit, just have sex. Calling me while I’m at work with y’all shit. Kylie, Razor is crazy, but he loves kids. Has one of his own, your nephew Will, will be in good hands. Now bye.”

  She hung up the phone.

“Fine,” I snapped at him. “Have him home by ten o’clock.”

He snatched my purse, pulled out my phone, hit some buttons and picked up his ringing phone. Once he put the phone back, he said, “Text me your address.”

He typed something in his phone, then said, “I just texted you mine. Save my number. I’ll be using it.” He held up the phone and walked off.

  “Guys, you’re with me.”

Will ran over to me and squeezed me tight. “Thanks so much, Auntie.”

I ran my hands through his hair and said, “Right. I’ll see you later. Behave yourself.”

  “Okay.”

He ran back to his new friend, and I waved at the two boys. Razor had his back to me which was unusual, because he usually watched me like a hawk.

I probably offended him with my ‘you’re a biker’ comment.

  * * *

My mom stayed in bed most of the day because her treatments were so intensive. I didn’t agree with my mom about not telling anyone, because even though I was here to help her out, she needed more emotional support. This was more than a notion and that burden was bigger than I wanted to carry alone at any age of my life. They weren’t talking death or anything, but her everyday way of life had completely diminished. She didn’t go outside anymore, her skin looked hardened, and my mother always had great skin, and her hair was falling out from the chemo.

My mom would hate me if I told my dad, but I might have to risk that. They were divorced but put the two of them together in the same room, and it was like they were still married.

At 9:55 p.m., the doorbell chimed throughout my mom’s two-story home. The space was suitable for a family of five, but true-to-Susan form, she had to go big or go home. Literally, the house was huge. The yard in the back and front was expansive. She had someone come over to keep it cut and manicured every two weeks, even before she became sick.

I opened the door to see Razor carrying a sleeping Will, whose head was resting on his shoulder. Will was no small boy at eleven years of age, so I knew he was heavy.

“Where should I take him?” Razor asked.

“Oh, uh.” I opened the door wider. “Come in and follow me.”

We went upstairs to one of the spare rooms designated just for Will. He was the only grandchild at this point, so he was truly spoiled by everyone, including me. My brother-in-law dropped Will off as she was attending business outside of town. Mom was hurt by this, but also slightly relieved, because she didn’t want Sheryl to know. She would’ve taken one look at Mom and known that something was wrong.

As soon as Razor laid him down, I took off Will’s shirt and pants. I turned and saw Razor standing in the doorway.

  “Where’s Mace?”

  “Knocked out at the compound.”

“You had my nephew at a biker compound?!”

Razor leveled his eyes on me, pushed off the door and stalked towards me. Fear wasn’t something I was accustomed to, rather after months of therapy it was something I didn’t succumb to. During my early years when I was on tour, I was attacked by a fan between shows. It was not anything major, but my agent hired bodyguards for us, and I requested martial arts training. Ricky was also my personal trainer that included self-defense and mixed martial arts lessons. I knew Razor wouldn’t hurt me because the look on his face displayed annoyance, however, his stalking towards me caused my back to straighten slightly.

“Sweetheart,” he whispered, “I’m not sure where you get your fucked up idea of what a biker is or does, but those boys,” he said, pointing to Will, “played football, hockey and arm wrestled with my brothers all evening. They had a ball. They even went out for ice-cream and crashed just about an hour ago. Guardians, are just that. We don’t deal with drugs, and we aren’t a gang. What we are is a brotherhood that looks out for each other. Period.”

Razor backed away from me, then left the room.

  Shit.

I ran downstairs after him. “Wait, Razor. Wait.”

He was already at the door, when I finally laid eyes on him. He was dressed in the same clothes from earlier, jeans, a white t-shirt, and his cut with the large Guardian’s patch stitched on the back.

Razor stopped but was facing the door and away from me. I touched his back and said, “I’m sorry, okay? Can we call a truce, please? You’re right
, my encounters with bikers in the past were not good, and that also has nothing to do with you. I will commit to having an open mind, okay? Can we please call a truce?”

He turned around and those grey eyes found mine, causing me to blink. In an attempt to gain some control, I continued, “This truce also includes you not hitting my friends, making sexually explicit comments to me, or trying to bait me. We live in the same town and we should get along, right?”

  “Can’t do that, sweetheart.”

“What? Why?” I put my hand on my hip.

“Cause when I see you, all I think are sexually explicit thoughts. You always sass me, so I’ll keep baiting you, and if I think for one goddamn minute that someone has laid a hand on you, you ought to know right now that I will fucking put them down. Hitting them is the least of their worries.”

“Razor!” I exclaimed. “We need to come to a truce. We can’t keep doing this.”

He took several steps towards me and said, “Then put me out of my misery.”

“How?” I looked into his deep steel eyes as he moved the hair out of my face.

“You know how.” He turned his head to the side like a pug.

  “Not really.”

“Let me show you.” His hand grabbed the back of my neck, propelling my body towards him.

Razor bit my bottom lip, and then said, “You’re so goddamn sexy.”

He kissed me passionately, yet hard and rough just like him. This time, there would be no fight or struggle. I stood on my tip-toes and tried to take over the kiss. Razor was not having that shit as he pushed his tongue into my mouth. I took it all and more. His grunt let me know that I was getting to him. Our tongues tangled, but I did the one thing I knew he’d lose his mind over: I sucked on it.

  That did it.

Razor’s hands gripped my ass, pulling me up, and then turned us around so my back was against the door. He groaned into my mouth and started rocking his hardened length against my center.

  Holy shit.

  The man was long.

My arms were around his neck, pulling on his ears, hair and shirt. There were definitely scratches on the back of his neck, but it seemed to egg him on more. I’d been told I was a wild cat in bed, but we weren’t even in bed yet he was bringing out the beast in me with just a kiss.
