“You need to change your look and everything related with you.” Lucis said quietly.

Nobody said a word. Jason knew he had reached the bottom of his life.

Titainein, Erikon and Lucis couldn’t stay long. Before they left, Jason asked Titainein to leave a communicator to him so that he could call Gloria. Titainein knew it was a bad idea, but she understood Jason’s feeling. She left Jason the only badge she had. It was one of the two badges Gloria gave Titainein before she left for Listan.

  Chapter 159

Mark made a deal with General Kalan, but he knew better than anyone that Kalan would kill him even if he delivered Liutein. He could live with that and he had decided to make his death worthy. If he had to give his life to Kalan, he would give him hell before that. But he also knew his two sons would be in danger after his death. He transferred John to an underground clinic and now the only thing left was to save Jason. Mark returned to the Human colony M74985 and made several calls to Colonel Salmon, but Salmon never picked it up. He decided to talk to Salmon in person.

It was a cool afternoon with stiff breeze and cloudy sky. Mark was sitting in the rental car near a restaurant in the suburb area. The restaurant, an old fashion building resembling the architectures of Twenty-third century, was sitting near the campus of a refinery facility.

Several hours had passed and the night crept in. A car slowly flew over the restaurant and cycled twice before it landed at the backdoor of the restaurant. Mark knew it must be Salmon. He waited another five minutes and then got into the restaurant. Then he saw Salmon sitting in a corner and reading the menu. Mark walked to Salmon and said, “Is this seat taken?”

“Yes.” Salmon said firmly without lifting his head.

“I will take it anyway.” Mark said as he quickly sat down.

Now Salmon looked up and gave Mark a shocked face.

“This restaurant has the best sausage.” Mark said sincerely.

“You should try their meatloaf as well.” Salmon said calmly as he pulled a pistol out of the pocket.

Right at this moment, a waiter stopped by, handed Mark a menu and said, “Whenever you guys ready.”

“Are you ready?” Salmon asked nervously.

“If we shoot each other, we will both die here.” Mark said as he readied his pistol.

  “That is truth.”

“I just want to talk. You didn’t answer my call.”

“I was hoping you could take a hint. Apparently, you are not that smart.”

“Well, I assume they found out the tracer in my body was no longer working. Now they wanted to cut the loose end.” Mark said easily.

“You always do a lot of thinking, don’t you?”

“I will say this has something to do with my son Jason. That was why they sent me to the prison.”

“You want to see your son anyway.” Salmon said and gave Mark an approving smile.

“Why do they want from Jason?”

“I don’t know.” Salmon said coldly.

“For old time’s sake, come on, tell me something.” Mark said in a begging voice.

Salmon stared at Mark for several seconds and said, “Originally, they put two tracers in your body. When you touched Jason, one tracer will migrate into his body and only his body.”

“Is that the reason you recommended me to Cateon? You know this all along?” Mark asked angrily.

“They already had you in mind before I even recommend you. I only learned about this after the tracer in your body no longer worked.”

“When you say they, you probably don’t know it included the ousted Glycan king Liutein. He is hiding here.” Mark said seriously.

“You are right. I don’t know.” Salmon chuckled.

“I saw Liutein talk with Treton London and Cateon William with my own eyes. What we have done are not for Human but Liutein.”

“Mark, don’t give me those bullshit. You know you don’t care those Human stuff. We are all doing this for the sake of money.”

“Liutein will use Human to do something big. I can feel it.” Mark said confidently.

  “Yea, whatever.”

Mark flashed a brittle smile and asked, “Where is Jason?”

  “I don’t know.”

“I guess I have one minute left, right?” Mark asked.

“If I knew you were not here to kill me, I wouldn’t call it in.”

“It’s OK. I understand. If I were you, I will do the same thing. Take care, Salmon.” Mark said sincerely as he stood up.

“Hey, you should check out the war between Dolanz and Oepttese. Kiel’s squadron on carrier Michael Stonan.” Salmon said quietly.

Mark nodded and swiftly left the restaurant.

  Chapter 160

Klaycon was on the way to the hospital. He was happy that Gloria agreed to undergo the treatment. Holding a bouquet of flowers, he walked into Gloria’s ward. Two doctors were doing the last minute check for the treatment which would put Gloria under for about two months.

Kalisa smiled at Klaycon and said, “I figured you would be here before we start.”

“So you are waiting for me.” Klaycon joked and waved at Gloria.

“Keep dreaming.” Kalisa chuckled and winked at the other doctor. Both of them left the room.

Klaycon put the blooming white flowers in a vase. Its light aroma soon took over the room.

Gloria took a deep breath and said, “I always like Wiqute.” She was holding her family badge next to her chest.

“I know. You told me when we were kid.” Klaycon said gently.

“It was a long time ago.”

“Yea, it is. But for me, it is like yesterday.” Klaycon said kindly.

“I like those days too. We were pure and innocent.” Gloria said weakly.

“You are still pure and innocent.” Klaycon said sincerely.

Gloria looked at her badge and sighed.

Klaycon knew Gloria was thinking about Jason. He sat next to Gloria and said, “Don’t worry. Jason will call you.”

“Did you hear anything about him?” Gloria asked nervously.

“No, but he will be fine. He is strong.”

Gloria squeezed out a tired smile and asked, “Klaycon, do you hate Jason?”

“No. It was all history.” Klaycon said in a relaxed tone. He wouldn’t hate a dead Human.

“Take this with you. If Jason called, tell him I am alright and I will see him soon.” Gloria said as she handed Klaycon the badge.

“I will take care of it.” Klaycon said and smiled politely. He never regretted killing Jason, even though the thought that Gloria would found it out one day bothered him sometimes.

  “Thank you.” Gloria said gratefully

Just at this moment, Kalisa showed up at the doorway and motioned Klaycon to come out. Klaycon gazed at Gloria for several seconds and said, “It‘s time. I will see you in two months.”

Kalisa brought Klaycon to her office and asked, “So how do you plan to pay this treatment?”

“I will work it out.” Klaycon said confidently.

“Don’t do anything stupid. OK?” Kalisa said kindly.

“OK. I promise you.” Klaycon said seriously, even though he had no idea how to get the money.

Klaycon left the hospital and went home. He locked himself in his room, pondering how to get the money. The amount was so large that no wonder even his grandfather Klizan never tried this kind of treatment.

“I probably need to rub a planet.” Klaycon said to himself with a bitter smile.

All of a sudden, he realised that it was a damn good solution. He started to check all second class species and later he sifted out three species. Dolanz was his first option. They were currently in the war with Oepttese, which made them vulnerable. Oepttese was the second one, but Oepttese was poorer than Dolanz. Human was the third. There was no particular reason for this one, except he really hated Jason. After some research, Klaycon decided to rob Dolanz, because he found out the Dolanz central bank had a stock
pile of Otueitpea, which was extremely valuable in the eyes of Glycan.

  Chapter 161

Since Jason wasn’t a formal pilot, he didn’t get paid and as a result he couldn’t go to the brothel. Just like other young men, he had the desire for sex as well and it was boiling his blood. He clearly remembered Jenny’s room number and he went there several times, but stopped short of knocking the door.

One day, after another big fight, Kiel’s squadron lost half of the pilots. The leftover got drunk and then headed to the brothel. Jason couldn’t go with them and this made him feel so embarrassed and mistreated. He had the most kills in the fleet, but only his teammates in the squadron knew that. Whatever he did, he got nothing in return. Sad and angry. He grabbed a bottle of whiskey and headed to Jenny’s room.

“Knock! Knock! Knock!” Jason knocked the door and waited impatiently.

Jenny opened the door and saw Jason in surprise. She hugged Jason and said, “I almost gave up. Come on in!”

Jason smiled shyly and walked into the small compartment which was only big enough for two bunker beds. A girl stood up from her bed and acknowledged Jason. Then she winked at Jenny and left the room.

“So what took you this long?” Jenny asked as she pressed her breast on Jason.

Jason squeezed her tits roughly and suddenly tore open her uniform. Those white and heavy tits jumped out right away. Jason pinched one without mercy and said, “This is sex, nothing more.”

“You are not the only man I sleep with. Do I need to remind you that?” Jenny said easily and took over the whiskey from Jason. She took a big sip and then gave it to Jason.

Jason drank a mouthful and said, “That is fine by me.”

Jenny quickly removed all her clothes and stood naked in front of Jason. She had a slender body with a pair of watermelon like tits. Her narrow waist made a big turn at her hip and then joined the sex long legs. Jason threw his uniform away and something fell out the pocket and hit the deck with a sharp ding.

“What is that?” Jenny asked curiously and looked around at the floor.

Jason didn’t care. He only felt his crotch area was getting tighter and tighter. He grabbed Jenny’s waist and pulled her into his arms.

“Hold on just for a second.” Jenny said kindly and slowly pushed Jason away. She picked up the thing on the deck, showed it to Jason and asked, “What is it?”

“It was a Glycan badge.” Jason said as he quickly jumped out of his pants.

“How did you get this?” Jenny asked in an admiring voice and gave the badge to Jason.

“You are not going to believe me. I have a Glycan girlfriend.” Jason said proudly.

Jenny stared at Jason for several seconds and said, “I believe you.” She quickly dropped on her knees and held Jason’s erection with both hands. She smiled at Jason and said, “I am so proud of you. Tell you what, you can fuck anywhere you want. I guess we can start with my mouth.”

Jason snatched Jenny’s braid and rammed his erection into her mouth. He almost went faint at the amazing feeling from her mouth. He closed his eyes and savored every touch for the next five minutes. Then he pulled Jenny up and threw her on the bed. Jenny got on her four and arched her ass as high as possible. Just before he plugged his steel hard erection into that pink and wet pussy, he noticed the badge in his hand. He suddenly realized right now he didn’t even know whether Gloria was OK or not. He suddenly lost steam and slumped on the bed like a dead man.

“Are you alright? You drank too much?” Jenny asked caringly as she was shaking her ass.

“Sorry, I can’t do this.” Jason said painfully.

Jenny turned to Jason and asked, “Why?”

“Nothing, I just. I gotta go.” Jason said sadly as he slowly got off the bed. He put on his clothes and put the badge back to the chest pocket.

Jenny looked at Jason in confusion. She hugged Jason and said, “You are thinking your girlfriend, am I right?”

  Jason sighed and nodded.

  “It’s OK. I understand.”

Jason smiled in embarrassment and left Jenny’s room. When he went back to the squadron room, other pilots were still not back yet. Jason held the badge in his hand, hesitating about whether to call Gloria or not. On the one hand, he was worried that Gloria might get into trouble because of the call and on the other side he missed her so much. Even since he had the badge, he had the debate going on in his head, but right now he really needed her even if he only heard her voice for a second.

“If someone else picked it up, I will just hang up. I will keep it less than 10 seconds. I just want to hear her voice.” Jason murmured to himself again and again. Finally, he crept into the restroom and locked the door behind him. He held the badge in his shaking hands and made the call.

When the badge rung, Klaycon was sitting in the bridge of a Glycan combat vessel. After he made up his mind to rob the Dolanz central bank, he called up his friends Zier and Nissen. These two guys further gathered Klaycon’s supporters. Then Klaycon went back to the training center and took out a Glycan combat vessel from the hangar and now they were on the way to planet Yieie.

Klaycon was surprised somebody was calling Gloria on her badge. He answered the call.

Jason could tell right away that it was a male’s voice. He knew he should hang it up, but the desire to speak to Gloria overwhelmed logic and reason. He paused for a second and ask, “Um, can I speak to Gloria?”

Klaycon felt like he knew this voice, but he just couldn’t name it at this moment. He thought for several seconds and asked, “Who is this?”

Jason suddenly realized that it was Klaycon on the other side of the line. He quickly hung up. After a minute, the badge was flashing. Jason knew Klaycon was calling back. He turned it off right away.

Klaycon slowly put away the badge as he thought about what just happened. He knew he heard that voice before. He looked around at Nissen and Zier and asked, “Who might call Gloria?”

“Her family. She doesn’t really have any friend.” Nissen said.

“Maybe some second species. She likes to hang out with them.” Zier said in disgust.

Hearing the word second species, Klaycon suddenly recalled that it was Jason’s voice. He froze there, his eyes shining with hatred, his hands digging into the chair handles.

“What is it?” Zier asked curiously as he saw Klaycon’s reaction.

“Jason is still alive.” Klaycon said angrily.

“That Human? No way! You shot him on the chest.” Nissen said.

“How do you know he is alive?” Zier asked patiently.

“I heard his voice several minutes ago on Gloria’s badge.”

“Maybe it was just similar voice. Our ears can’t really distinguish…”

“Shut up! I say he is alive.” Klaycon yelled at Zier before he could finish.

“Take it easy! If he did somehow survive from that shot, we don’t know where he is right now. So we can’t kill him. We should stick to our plan. We go to Yieie and rob that bank.” Zier said calmly.

Klaycon punched the table and shouted, “Find this Jason first!”

“Then how we do that? If he could stay on the line for three minutes, we can pinpoint his position. But I am quite sure he recognized your voice as well and now he wouldn’t even answer the badge.”

Klaycon paused and thought about what Zier said. He sighed and decided to stick to their original plan.

  Chapter 162

Mark knew Carrier Michael Stonan belonged to Human Second fleet, but he had no idea where the Second fleet was. He decided to try his luck on Dolanz’s mother planet Yieie.

These days not many Human dared to travel to planet Yieie. Everyone knew Human was fighting side by side with Oepttese. Mark was the only Human among some 200 passengers. He was sitting next to a window and looking at the two combat vessels flying next to the vessel. Mark was quite sure if Oepttese ambushed this passenger vessel, these two vessels wouldn’t make any difference.

  Just at this momen
t, a flight attendant walked to Mark and asked, “Is everything alright?” “Yea, why?” Mark said coldly.

“You know you are the only Human passenger on this fight. Just to make sure nobody bothers you.”

  “Well, I...”

“Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!” The blaring alarm suddenly sounded.

“This is captain. There are dozens of fighter jets approaching us. Everyone goes to the lifeboat! Everyone goes to the lifeboat!” Captain’s nervous voice came out of the speaker and echoed with the red lights flashing in the passenger compartment.

Everything slammed into chaos mold. Passengers pushed each other and ran for their lives. The flight attendants tried to organize them and keep the order, but soon joined the panic passengers and jostled for the lifeboat. Soon the cramped lifeboat was packed like a sardine can.

Mark was squeezed to a wall, facing a small porthole. He could see some 20 Human fighter jets swooping at the vessel. The two Dolanz combat vessels didn’t even try to put on a fight but ran their own asses off. Now the Human jets stopped the passenger vessel and started docking.

Ten minutes later, Mark heard the heavy tread of footsteps coming closer and closer. The lifeboat door slid open. Several heavily armed Human soldiers pointed their rifles at the frightened passengers. One soldier stepped into the lifeboat and said, “It’s OK. It’s OK! We know this is a passenger vessel. We are here to make sure all passengers are civilians. And, if you gave us all your money and valuables, we will get out of here before you even know it. Alright, everyone comes out one by one. We want as little trouble as you do. Now move!”

Passengers started to move out one after another and emptied all their pockets and bags. Mark was at the end of the line and when those soldiers saw him, they were surprised as if they discovered a new species.

  “A Human? Really?”

“Are you a Human? You look like a Human. Man, you get a lot of balls to take a Dolanz flight.”

“Aron, you are not going to believe this. We got a Human here!” A soldier shouted to his communicator.
