Chris returned quickly. She raised up and moved carefully off of Joe as he gently helped her stretch out. After Joe headed to the bathroom, she felt Chris wipe along her slit and between her butt cheeks with a warm, wet washcloth like they always did. It felt good and was so nice of them to do that.

Chris stretched out beside her. “Come here, babe, and let me hold you while Joe runs into the bathroom.”

She did as he suggested and reveled in the heat of his body, his strong arms around her, his familiar scent making her feel just as safe and protected as Joe did. “I could stay like this all night.”

  “Me, too,” Chris said.

Joe had headed to the bathroom, and he didn’t take long to return.

“Anyone up for a swim before dinner?” he asked.

“Sure,” Valerie said, chuckling. “Sounds good to me.”

Chris smiled at her as he and Joe helped her off the lounger. They crossed the patio to the beautiful swimming pool. She wasn’t worried about making love or swimming naked in the privacy of their own backyard. The surrounding high walls and trees protected them.

She took the steps into the pool and sat down on the second step. Water lapped beneath her breasts and tickled her. She watched Joe and Chris as they took running jumps into the pool, causing loud concussions of noise and huge waves of water. She quickly turned her head so the water wouldn’t splash her face.

She laughed, and they joined in. Chris pulled her off the steps and into his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck. He cupped one breast and bent to cover the nipple with his warm lips, titillating the sensitive flesh with his tongue.

“Can’t get enough of you, babe,” he said, his voice soft and deep.

She moaned at the arousing aches he created. “That’s so good, Chris. Don’t stop.” She wrapped her legs around his hips to keep herself steady as he continued to tantalize her nipples, first one and then the other.

Joe took hold of her waist in both of his hands and, touching more sensitive places, moved close enough to her back that she could feel the shape of his muscular body against her. He slid his cock under her butt cheeks, curved one hand around the side of her waist, holding her steady, and slid his other hand down the middle of her back to her crack. She shivered from his caress. Spreading his big hand across her lower back, he slowly eased one long finger between her butt cheeks. He stopped when he reached her puckered rim and circled it with his finger, ever so gently.

“My God, Joe, that feels good,” she whispered.

She couldn’t keep from shivering and moaning with the achingly hot sensations. It seemed to her that her two guys had insatiable appetites. “What you guys are doing to me feels so good. Don’t stop.” She breathed faster as they continued to caress her, increasing her need for more. Chris stroked her breasts and smoothed one hand down her body, over her abdomen and then her mound, and slid his fingers between her sensitive pussy lips. He caressed her clit, circling it and making her buck against him. He chuckled softly as if he knew exactly what that did to her.

“Chris, I love that.” He growled gently in response, and then he slid one thick, long finger inside her pussy as deep as it would go and caressed her again. “Oh, that’s incredible.”

Joe circled her puckered rim with his fingers. It felt so good and aroused her even more. “Don’t stop, Joe.” She leaned her head back against his muscular chest as he continued to press against her tight opening and circle her sensitive flesh, making her ache gently around her aroused rim. “I could never get enough of you guys.”

They both continued to caress and titillate her. Hot, aching pulses made her buck against them. They never stopped or slowed what they were doing. Pressure built, and her body tightened inside until she felt the growing pressure increasing and building and she climaxed. Her hips bucked again and again as her body convulsed between Chris and Joe. Their intense caresses extended her orgasm with incredibly hard, sweet contractions.

Slowly her body eased as she panted to catch her breath. Chris continued to gently stroke inside her pussy while her body relaxed. Joe held her against his warm body, supporting her as he caressed her still pulsing slit.

When her body quieted, she turned and put her arms around both of her guys. She gently positioned them with their backs toward the steps of the pool and pushed them to sit down on the top step. She slid her hands over their muscular chests and down their abdomens to their aroused cocks. She gripped each one’s cock. Hearing their deep groans of pleasure, she moved her fists up and down their hard cocks, smoothed her fingers over the slippery heads, and back down the rock-hard shafts. Sliding her hands up and down their cocks, she reveled in their deep groans of pleasure. They convulsed at the same time, and she continued caressing them until their cocks softened.

“That was so good, hon,” Joe said, his voice rough with his exertion.

“Thanks, babe, that was great,” Chris said.

They each bent forward and kissed her. She smiled at them. “I’m glad you liked it. How about we go inside and put together something for dinner?” she asked them.

“Sounds good to me,” Chris said, smiling at her.

  “Me, too,” Joe added.

  Chapter Fourteen

They headed inside the house, showered quickly, and dried off. She slipped into her soft bathrobe, and she noticed that Joe and Chris were putting on their jeans and shirts. When they were all ready, they headed to the kitchen and looked in the fridge to see what they could mix up for a light meal. She gathered salad fixings and put together a large salad for them while Joe cooked up some hamburgers and Chris prepared lightly toasted bread, spread with butter. When their meal was ready, they sat down at the big island in the kitchen on the comfy, upholstered stools and enjoyed their meal. After they’d all eaten as much as they wanted, they refreshed their sodas and headed for their triple recliner in the den.

Valerie sat down in the middle recliner, and Joe and Chris took the recliners on each side of hers.

Chris put his drink down, and Valerie got the feeling he had something he wanted to talk about.

“You were amazing today, babe, helping in the fight with the gang members. I’d been really worried about the possibility that you’d be involved in fighting them. We didn’t want you to have to fight them again.” Chris met her gaze and took her hand in his big one. “But you handled it like a trooper.”

“I agree,” Joe said. “It worried the hell out of me that you could be hurt, or worse, by those bastards. You held up your side of it really well.”

Valerie smiled at Chris and Joe. “I managed to fight smarter so the outlaw I fought couldn’t overwhelm me this time.” She grinned at her guys. “I have to admit my success in achieving that made me feel more confident, and it gave me a new sense of accomplishment. I feel sure I can hold my own, to a degree, in future battles with the outlaws. But I hope they’ll be tracked down and removed from the area before we have to fight them like that again.”

Chris held her gaze. “I’m afraid that even if the area is free of this gang, another group will move in and try to take control, just like they do in the cities.”

“If that happens,” Joe said, his voice soft and deep, “we’ll have a never-ending job as long as we want to work with C.P.O.” He paused. “I don’t know if I can handle it though.”

Valerie and Chris looked at Joe, both surprised by what he’d just said.

  “You don’t?” Valerie asked him.

  “Why not?” Chris asked him.

Joe grimaced. “My dad had warned me that someday my carelessness would catch up with me and I’d be sorry. That has always haunted me, and it still does. I feel like I failed my friends who died after that gang messed with their hiking gear without them knowing it. I didn’t warn them enough about the gang and hiking in the cave, and I should have made it absolutely clear to them how dangerous that gang could be. I’m afraid I’ll miss an important detail that could prevent you all, and others, from being hurt or worse.”<

“But, Joe,” Chris said, “you couldn’t have known what they would do. We now know what they’re capable of doing, but I don’t believe there was any way we could have known beforehand what they’d do.”

“I should have expected their attacks and guarded against them,” Joe said. “I’m not going to make excuses for myself. I expected the gang to behave in one way in their law-breaking activities, but then they behaved differently. I’m never ready for what they do. Just like when they attacked us all at the hot springs with their previous leader and took you, Valerie, and Jen captive, surprising us all. I couldn’t stand for that to happen ever again.”

“But every time they’ve attacked someone,” Valerie argued, “they’ve done something different. How can anyone guard against that? No one holds you responsible for what those nasty animals have done, Joe. I have every faith that you will keep me and your fellow agents as safe as humanly possible.” She held his hand and smiled at him with all the love she felt for him. “Personally, I’d rather have you and Chris with me than anyone else during these encounters with the gang.”

“You mean that, baby?” Joe asked her, disbelief and hope in his expression and dark eyes.

“Absolutely,” she said, never taking her eyes from his. “I trust you and Chris more than anyone else to protect me. I wouldn’t want anyone but you and Chris guarding my back.” She held his gaze with hers, determined that he would believe what she said and believe in his own ability to be an agent of C.P.O. “Don’t forget, Joe, that new gang leader, who got hold of me and Jen in that fight when Wra was taken captive, is now in jail after this recent fight because of you and Chris taking him captive.”

Joe looked at her quietly and seemed to be thinking about what she’d just told him.

“I don’t know what I’d do without you as our partner at C.P.O.,” Chris said. “We can’t do more to protect others than we have, not without the information we would need to be able to do that. We’ve learned a lot about what the gang is capable of, and we can use those experiences to help us to protect others in the future. Think about this, Joe, even the good, experienced folks who’ve been working quite a while with C.P.O. don’t know exactly what to expect from the gang. So, we work with the knowledge we’ve accumulated while being agents working for C.P.O., and we think about possible things the gang might do now, and we do our best to keep the bastards from hurting others.”

Valerie waited quietly, hoping that what she and Chris had said would make a difference and Joe wouldn’t feel guilty.

“Remember the pact we made with each other to bring them all to face justice?” Chris continued. “We’ve made a good start. I think we’ve gotten at least half of them, if not more, put in jail.”

“I didn’t know you’d made a pact to bring them all in. When did you do that?” she asked.

Chris met her gaze. “We made a promise with each other to get Wra after that fight during which you were caught by his gang along with Jen,” Chris told her gently.

“What you and Chris have said makes sense to me,” Joe said, meeting her gaze. “I’ll keep what you’ve said in my mind, and when I feel frustrated, I’ll remember every word. I want to keep working with you both, more than anything else. There’s no place I’d rather be than at your sides.” He smiled at them warmly. “I need to remember that what happened to our hiking friends was an unforeseen accident caused by the gang alone and that no one else, including me, was responsible. No one could have stopped it from happening. All I can do in the future is my best, just like you guys and all the other agents at C.P.O. I want to spend my whole life at your side, Valerie, loving you and protecting you always.”

“You’ve got it right, Joe,” Chris said.

“Absolutely right.” Valerie smiled at Joe. “It wasn’t your fault, either of you, that the lives of your friends couldn’t be saved.” She met their serious gazes. “I’ll always love you, and I’ll never leave you voluntarily because I know from experience how caring you are of your friends and of me.” She smiled at them. “Group hug.” Valerie quickly slipped her arms around Joe’s neck. They hugged each other tight. “I don’t know what I’d do without you, Joe and Chris, to keep me safe.” She kissed both of them on the cheek.

Chris hugged her tight and patted Joe on the back. “Thanks, partner. There’s no one I’d rather work with side by side than you and Valerie.”

It sounded to Valerie like Joe now had his worries under control after remembering they’d captured the gang leader who had abused her in that big fight when they caught Wra and arrested him. She was happy that Joe had talked things over with her and Chris, and she was thankful they had saved her life more than once. She knew that nothing would keep them from protecting her always.

Chris took her right hand in his. She looked at his face, and he seemed content. She looked over at Joe, and he had the same look on his face. Joe looked at Chris and nodded. What were they up to now?

“Joe and I are asking you to marry us, babe. Will you be ours, forever?”

“Oh my God,” she exclaimed. “Yes, I’ll marry you, Chris and Joe,” she answered them, her voice only a whisper with her surprise. She put her arm around Chris, and he released her hand to put both of his arms around her. She reached out and put her other arm around Joe, and he moved closer against her other side and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her and kissing her. “I love you both so much.” Happy tears threatened to fill her eyes. “When?” she asked as she hugged them both and kissed them again.

“As soon as you want, babe,” Joe said.

Chris and Joe smiled at her. “How about as soon as we can arrange a wedding ceremony?” she suggested.

“That would be just fine,” Chris said.

“Perfect,” Joe said in agreement. “I think a toast is in order.”

“That sounds good to me,” she said.

They headed for the kitchen, and Chris took out a chilled bottle of wine and opened it while she and Joe got glasses ready.

“To our marriage,” Chris said as he held up his glass of wine.

  “To our marriage,” she repeated.

“And to a long and happy life together,” Joe said.

They all clicked their glasses together and took a sip of the cool, slightly sweet wine and smiled at each other with happiness.

The phone rang. Valerie picked it up. It was Jen. “Hi! What’s going on?”

“We were having a little private party, just the three of us, to celebrate catching more of the gang, and suddenly, with a few phone calls that came in, we now have a big party. Want to come over?”

“Sure! That sounds like fun,” Valerie said. “We’ll be over in a little bit.” She ended the call and looked at Chris and Joe. “I think we should join them at their home for the party. We can then let our friends know that we’re getting married.” She smiled at her guys. “Is that all right with you?” She looked from Joe to Chris.

“Yeah, that’s fine with me. You, Joe?”

“Sure, perfect time to let everyone know.” Joe smiled at her and Chris, looking pleased.

“I’ll be ready as soon as I get dressed,” she said.

It didn’t take them long to get ready and drive over. Soon they were heading up the walk to the front door of their friends’ home. “Should we really tell everyone that we’re getting married?” she asked her guys.

  “Sure, why not?” Chris said.

  “I agree,” Joe said.

Jen opened the door and welcomed them inside. From the happy conversations going on, it sounded to Valerie like everyone was having fun and relaxing.

“Come help yourselves to some refreshments while we finish up the hamburgers cooking on the grill,” Jen suggested.

They all three followed her inside and were greeted by all their friends. Valerie couldn’t help smiling when she saw Dan and Wes bringing Sandy a plate of snacks and a tall glass of soda. Obviously, she was their date. Silently, she wished the three of them all the happiness she’d
found with Joe and Chris.

After a delicious dinner and dessert were finished, and they’d refreshed their drinks, Chris and Joe got up and caught everyone’s attention.

“We have an announcement to make,” Chris said.

Everyone there grew quiet to hear what he had to say.

Chris and Joe looked at Valerie with big smiles on their faces. She smiled back at them. “We want to let all our friends know that we’ve asked Valerie to marry us and she’s accepted.”

Their friends whooped and hollered and clapped for them.

“A toast to Valerie and Joe and Chris,” Roger said. “We all wish you a life together filled with good times and happy memories.” He saluted them with his glass of wine, and they thanked him and all the others for their good wishes.

“When are you getting married?” Jen asked.

“As soon as we can make arrangements,” Joe said.

More good wishes followed. Valerie was warmed by all their friends’ support and good wishes.

A little later, they left the celebration and headed home to relax and enjoy talking about their future.

“Before I met you guys,” Valerie said, “I didn’t have much faith that I would ever be confident enough to take a chance on getting to know someone I could spend my life with and whom I could trust. Now that I have you two to stand beside me and keep me safe, I’m overwhelmed with happiness. How did I ever become lucky enough to find not one wonderful man but two to love for always and ever?”

“I feel the same, babe.” Chris smiled at her and took her hand. “I feel so fortunate to have found you and know that you love me as much as I love you.”

Joe took her other hand. “I don’t know where I’d be without you, hon. You’ve made a big difference in my life and my hopes for the future, a future for all three of us together.” He smiled at her as he put his arm around her.
