Heathen: Oath Keepers MC

I wonder if Amelia’s been on a bike. Nah, she’s far too snooty for it. She wouldn’t wrinkle her business suit or want her hair jacked up. It’d be a task for her to pull the stick out of her ass and just enjoy it. However, there’s no doubt in my mind she’d look fine as fuck if she did. I can imagine her all leathered up, with her perky tits and nose stuck up in the air.

Mm…makes my cock hard, just thinking of it—and now’s not the time for that shit. Although tapping some Mexican pussy down here may help me relieve some stress, it’s not as good as the real thing. I guess we’ll see if we have any time for it or not. Viking already made it clear we’re here to shoot some motherfuckers, not get our dicks wet.

I’m peeling a bandana from my face as Sinner hands me a couple of photos. I flip through them as he mutters, “These are the fuckers we take alive if we have the chance. I’m down for the extra payday, but I’d rather put a bullet in their heads and get back to June.” He shrugs, and I can’t help but agree.

I don’t have an ol’ lady like most of the brothers, but I have Amelia to think about until I break her down some. Once she’s calmed the fuck down and agrees to back off the club, then I’ll be done with her. I think so, anyhow. There’s a sick twisted part of me that hopes she really fights me on it, so I have a reason to fuck with her more. I shouldn’t want to torment her, but something inside me craves it. I think it’s the fact that she seems oblivious to me like I don’t affect her at all. That shit’s been driving me crazy. I couldn’t stop thinking of it on the way here. It’s probably what kept me from passing the fuck out on the road.

If it weren’t for this cartel shit going down, Viking would be on my ass over the principal. I guess this ride is a blessing and a curse. It gives me an excuse to spend more time with her. That’s probably a bad thing, but fuck it. You only live once, right? My life hasn’t been something to write home about, so I may as well do whatever the fuck intrigues me. Right now, it’s that stubborn woman tied up in my room.

“I hear you, man,” I reply and pass the stack of photos over to Chaos.

He shuffles through them with an exhale. Clearly, he’s got something on his mind, too, and it isn’t Mexico.

“You straight, brother?” I ask. I’ve bartended a lot in the past, so it’s made me fairly close to all the brothers. They’ve confided in me at some point about random stuff, so I can’t help but ask Chaos what’s up with him. If I hadn’t talked to them in the past about personal matters, I’d keep my mouth shut.

He meets my eyes, his expression seemingly exhausted. “Just been worrying about my girl. She’s due any day now, and this pregnancy has been rougher than the last. I’m worried I’ll be in the middle of a fucking shoot-out and miss her going into labor. I want to be on a flight ASAP to Foxboro when I get the call.”

I nod. “I can imagine. Sorry to hear she’s still having trouble carrying this one.”

He rakes his hand through his hair and grins. “Guess the little guy is a big baby. Probably gonna be another football player in the family.”

I grin back, glad to see him lighten up a bit. “Probably, brother, with you and her ol’ man, your family is set up to be pro ballplayers for generations to come.”

He agrees, being the proud poppa he is all the time. You’d never guess the big fucker used to play pro football and was super fucking famous. He went from being on the straight and narrow to joining a biker club and running moonshine. Crazy ass. He’s also extremely protective of his daughter; her pregnancy seems to be no exception to that protection either.

We’re interrupted by Exterminator, his deep gravelly voice growling with authority. “Spider has the maps on his cell. We’ll be breaking off into small groups, and he’ll send specific maps to each group. We ride at the same time, check in, and hit them at once. They’ll have no time to react but to face us head-on. These shit holes are small, maybe five to ten men in each. You shoot straight, and you’ll be riding home.”

His words have us all silent, contemplative. This is important; we’re helping our state, the border, and the government. Our actions here will save countless people in the future. This time around, they have to send in some bad men to take care of the evil. The Oath Keepers aren’t good men, but we’re not the same level of evil that the cartel has morphed into.

Spider finishes, “This won’t take out the cartel by any means, but it’ll disburse the small groups that our authorities are having trouble keeping up with. We help them out, we get paid, and they leave us the fuck alone. The downside is if the cartel catches wind of who the hit was from, there can be serious blowback. When we leave here, stick to the club and with your brothers when you can. We’ll be riding home with you, just in case they try to strike back and you need backup.”

Ares, the prez from the other Oath Keeper charter, speaks up. “We appreciate it. We have soldiers of the Russkaya Mafiya providing backup at home too. If the cartel comes to retaliate, they’ll be at war with the Russians as well.”

Viking steps forward. “I have Joker on call in Chicago. The Italian mafia has been made aware of the problem. They’re keeping their hands out of it, but if the cartel pushes north, the Italians will push back. The cartel will be going to war with some of the most powerful families in the US.” He drinks from his camelback and continues. “I have it on good authority that the Vendettis in New York are hoping the cartel moves in so they can declare war. Ruthless Vendetti wants more territory, and he’s not writing off Mexico for that possible expansion.”

Mercenary shakes his head, grumbling, “Fucking mafia, always wanting more.”

We nod, knowing his statement is the truth. Those fuckers are never satisfied to just live with what they have.

Odin turns to the prez. “We have contacts in New York now?” It’s understandable our VP would be questioning him, but Odin should already know this.

Viking shakes his head. “Not exactly. According to Joker, Dante the Devil Vendetti has been nominated to sit at the table of the five familias. Joker took the decision to the table to vote on, and the Devil informed him of Ruthless’s plans to gain more territory if they intervene. You know those old Italian families, they won’t do shit without gaining something in return.”

“Fuck,” Exterminator grumbles. “Let’s get this shit over with. Viking, Spider, Ruger, and 2 Piece. Odin, Spin, Saint, and Knuckle Buster. Chaos, Twist, Sinner, and Magnum. Blaze, Nightmare, and Ares, you’ll ride with me. Spider broke us up into these particular teams because each person contributes something that another doesn’t have. Anyone have issues?”

We all shake our heads, willing to work with our brothers. We’re well acquainted with each other, so it’s not weird, more like getting to fuck some shit up with friends. Spider knows his stuff anyhow, so if he says we work the best together this way, then I’m going to take his word on it. Trusting the Nomads and the other charter took me a bit, but with time I was able to work it out. Viking wouldn’t be so cool with them if it were any other way, and I spent most of my youth growing up with Vike. I trust his opinion.

Ares straps on Kevlar, and his club members follow suit. We all head over to the truck 2 Piece was stuck driving to dig out everything we need. The clubs have prepared for this well. There’s Kevlar for everyone, weapons, and a shit ton of ammunition.

Twist straps on a handful of grenades flashing a pleased, manic looking grin. He was in the military, so I’m not surprised to see him reach for them. I, on the other hand, I’m staying far the fuck away from the grenades.

Spider holds his phone up as our burners begin vibrating. “I sent everyone the maps. If you click the app attached to it, it’ll sync to your Bluetooth system installed in your helmet. I had to create a separate secured app instead of sending it through your bike’s system.”

Smart fucker. I wonder what Amelia would think of him. Jesus fuck. I can’t be concerned with the mouthy woman right now, and I sure as fuck shouldn’t care what she thinks about anyone. Still, though, I bet Spider
would give her a run for her money in the smarts department. Make her educated ass question what she thinks she knows about the MC.

“Let’s fuck some shit up; I’m ready.” Nightmare growls in my direction, and I send him an answering nod. This is a personal vendetta for him, all stemming from the lion attack. The cartel fucked up with that one. Night will carry that shit to the grave. Not that I can blame him or anything. I’d be the same if I had to learn to ride all over again and walk normally. The guy couldn’t even play the drums for a beat from what I hear. It fucked him up something fierce for a whole minute.

Ares’s massive ass comes to a standstill next to me. He and 2 Piece clamp onto each other’s wrists, each giving the other a serious look. Those two, along with Saint and Sinner, share their women, so it’s more stressful on them, sending the other into war. They’d probably prefer it to be beside each other, but that could be a liability as well if they’re too worried about their partner and not themselves.

2 Piece meets my stare next. “You got his back, brother?” he asks.

I chin-lift. “Always, man. He is my brother today and always.”

2 Piece’s expression relaxes just a touch at my proclamation. I know he needed to hear it. He glances at Ares again. “Ride safe.”

“Bet.” The oversized biker huffs. “You keep your ass the fuck outta gunfire.” He grumbles something I can’t hear, and 2 Piece heads for the back of the truck to help dig more shit out.

He turns to me. “He’s still pissed the club voted for Cain to stay back.” He shrugs. “Cain’s ol’ lady is knocked up. Of course, his ass needs to be home. I don’t know a damn thing about labor and delivery. Cain is a veteran at it.”

I nod. Although I have no idea about pregnancy or anything of the sort either. Our club brats are older, and the only time I see young kids is at Ares’s charter. “I’m sure Princess is upset too. Damn near everyone she gives a fuck about is here,” I mention, thinking of the stories I’ve heard.

There’s been talk in the past of Princess and Ares being like siblings, and about him being the only MC member acceptable to marry her. That was according to her father. Supposedly Ares loved Princess fiercely, but the prez didn’t realize those feelings were brotherly and not anything else. Clearly that changed with Viking in the picture, and I guess I sort of replaced his spot of an adopted brother when it comes to P.

“All right,” Exterminator growls. “In and out, we meet back here and then ride as one. If someone has heat on ‘em, I want them to be hit hard when they reach us all.”

Viking swings his leg over his bike, ordering loudly, “Ride safe, brothers.”

We all follow suit. My group consists of Nightmare, Ares, and Exterminator, so I’ll follow Ex’s direction. With my focus on him, I crank my engine. The lot thunders with our combined engines, then we’re off in our separate directions, headed to fuck shit up.

  Amelia

My days seem to merge into one after another. I’m beginning to wonder if Blaze is ever coming back. He said he had to do some work, but it’s been days, it seems like. Did he leave town altogether? He hasn’t returned at all, even to sleep. When he said he had things to take care of, I expected it to be the day or so. I’m not sure what to think anymore. I hope he doesn’t leave me here for much longer.

The night he left had come and gone. I woke up, and the ol’ ladies played cards and entertained me. I expected him to return later that afternoon, but nothing. Another day passed with Princess and Bethany keeping me company and again another night with me having the bed all to myself. You’d think that would be a wonderful thing, but without him and his body heat surrounding me, I’ve frozen and hardly gotten any sleep. I feel more exhausted than I did the day after he brought me here.

That’s another thing. I don’t know how long I’ve been here. Is it a week, or are we on week two at this point? Being drugged and secluded to a room has me scatterbrained and unable to distinguish what I should and shouldn’t be feeling at this point. The scariest thought of all resting right under the surface is that I want him to come back. He implemented a sense of routine, and now it’s all shaken up. I was learning what to expect with him each time he entered the room. With the women, I have no idea what to think.

“Hey, girl,” Princess greets as she comes into Blaze’s room. I won’t lie, when I heard his door handle turn and the lock disengage, a piece of me hoped it was him. I wish I didn’t feel that way. I hate him, after all, remember? Clearly not enough, if I’m looking forward to seeing his cocky grin pointed at seeing me looking like a complete mess.

She plops down on the bed beside me and offers me a soft smile. “Hi,” I grumble, trying to rub my eyes. I’m exhausted, and I hate feeling this way.

  “You didn’t sleep well?”

  I shake my head.

“I think I know of something that’ll make you feel better.”

  My brow raises. “Mm?”

She nods. “Let’s get you in the shower. I’m going to make you feel much better.”

With a yawn, I nod and let her help me get up. She leads me into the bathroom, tugging along my rope leash. It’s so demeaning, but I have to be grateful I’m able to move around somewhat freely at all. It’s better than when I first arrived and was tied at my wrists and feet, and I could do nothing but lie around naked. In Princess’s defense, she’s allowed me to wear a silky robe since Blaze left, so there’s that too.

“I have a surprise for you, sweetie.”

“Uh-oh,” I comment, and she giggles.

I’ve warmed up to her immensely over the time she’s been spending to help take care of me. It helps that she’s friendly, and I won’t deny that she’s gorgeous too. Everyone around here I’ve seen up to this point is far too attractive when a biker club comes to mind. I’d imagine big men with round bellies who stink and don’t shower. Here, it’s muscular dudes with confident attitudes and striking women, it’s like the twilight zone or something. Several of the women are well educated and successful, I can only imagine what the men here hide or what it is they do to keep their significant others around.

“Let’s start with us getting naked.” She flashes me a flirty wink. I can’t help but give her a smile of my own. This woman is crazy, but I’m doing what I need to, to make it out of here as soon as possible. It doesn’t hurt that I’ve somewhat come to enjoy her company as well.

  “Have you always been this…bold?”

“When you grow up in a family like mine, you have to learn to speak up and be yourself. Especially when you’re surrounded by this group of men, they don’t pay any mind to docile women.”

“You could’ve fooled me. I thought that was what they hated about me. That Blaze and the others want me to be meek and opinion less.”

“It’s not that they want you meek or non-opinionated. They want the club kids to have a fair shot in school. They already put up with enough threats. They don’t want to have to worry about teachers or whoever bothering them. Trust me, I was a club brat, I can attest that things were hard growing up. We were in danger plenty of times, not because of my father’s love of motorcycles, but from enemies jealous of him, wanting to hurt him. School is one place we shouldn’t have to worry about the kids having a rough go.”

She continues, “You coming down on them and not backing down is what set you in the MC’s sights. Had you just tucked tail, then none of the guys would’ve given you a second thought.”

“I shouldn’t have to, though. I have a right to stand up for myself and do what I believe is appropriate.”

“Absolutely, and I agree with you unless it’s a biased opinion. Which in this case, you poked the tail of a snake. You thought it’d slither off and leave you alone, but this snake has fangs—big fangs. You fighting back with the boys when they showed up, trying to offer the school support, got you bitten. Now that Blaze knows what kind of woman you are, he won’t want to let you go so quickly. He wants to see how many bites you can take; he wants
to know how strong you really are…if you’re a worthy match.”

“Match? You mean…? Wait, surely, you can’t be serious.”

“Oh, sweetie, I’m as serious as I can get. He sees you as a worthy opponent and an important thing about the men in this MC…they like conquering and claiming, then keeping.”

“But I’m nothing like him,” I attempt to argue. “I-I don’t fit with his mold.”

She shrugs, working at the tie on my wrist. “Then you should’ve thought of that before. You can’t tease a tiger and not expect to be dinner.”

“Why do you keep referencing animals?”

She meets my stare. “Because it’s the best way to describe them. The men here are animalistic, they revert to their basic needs to protect, provide for, and claim. I have a suspicion that Blaze is in the provision stage with you. He’s going to give you what you need, and he’s already been protecting you from the club killing you. Who knows what he’ll do when he gets home, but I have a decent idea.”

  “What should I do?”

“You can’t do anything right now, but drink this delicious beverage I brought for you. I’m going to make you feel good. It won’t seem so bad in a few minutes,” she says, and I quickly agree, wanting whatever she has to offer. I’m not ready to think deeply into what Blaze’s future plans are with me.

I take a sip, noting the flavor of alcohol mixed with the juice. It’s early, but I’m grateful for it with the discussion we just had. I never drink this early in the morning, but I’ve also never been kidnapped in the past or outright cussed. I’ll take whatever I can to get my mind off the revelations she just brought to light. This entire time I thought my attitude was putting Blaze off when, in reality, it was doing the complete opposite. I’m an idiot.
