Hit And Run: Savage Menace MC Book 3
Page 2
I wake up close to nine and I already have a text from Wren, my bestie, telling me to come over to her friend’s house. Everyone is there except for Cali. She’s wanted me to meet these people for a while now and since I’m no longer working at the bar and making myself socialize more, I finally get a chance to. I let working there consume my life for the past few years. If I wasn’t working, I was sleeping or avoiding people. I have quite a bit of money saved up and figured it’s time to take a vacation, even if it’s more like a stay-cation, and find a new job. I grab clothes, some make-up, and my maroon chucks, slip on my Adidas slides and head out the door, grabbing my keys as I go.
Wren sent me the address to her friend’s house. What she didn’t tell me was it’s on Savage Menace property. I feel like an idiot pulling up to the gate. A guy in a Savage Menace cut walks to my car. I glance at his cut for his name. It just says prospect.
“Hey there, sweetheart. What can I do for you?” he draws out. His eyes are glued to my tits. I roll my eyes.
“Eyes up here, buddy.” He grins, bringing his eyes to mine. “I’m here to see Wren.”
“You must be Sienna. Through the gate, the house is to the left,” he explains. “See you around.” He winks at me before walking away to open the gate. I drive through, parking in front of the house. I toss my backpack over my shoulder as I climb out of my car.
“Eeeek! Sienna!” Wren screeches, running down the front porch. She throws her arms around me, squeezing me tight. “How is it that we’re roommates yet I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever?”
“I know! I’ve been a shitty friend. I’m sorry,” I reply.
She shrugs. “We have a lot of time to make up for,” she says. “We’ll start by introducing you to the girls!” She drags me inside the house and into the living room. There are five women sitting in here. One looks familiar, but I’ve never seen the others.
“Hey, y’all!” She gets their attention. “This is my best friend and roommate, Sienna. Sienna, this is Minx, Rivet, Tink, Lolita, and Emma.”
“Hi!” They all greet me. Emma is who I’ve met before. The one time I went to A Novel Bunch Bakery to pick Wren up, Emma was working too.
“It’s nice to meet you.” Minx smiles. They’re all sitting around in their pajamas eating cereal and watching cartoons. “We’re just having a lazy Sunday. We usually have a club BBQ on Sundays, but since Buster and Cali got married yesterday, we’re all just taking it easy today.”
“Sounds good to me. I could use a lazy day,” I respond.
“You’ve only been working your butt off for how long now,” Wren asks.
“Too long.” I laugh. Even hanging around a bunch of bikers, Wren still doesn’t cuss.
“Well, we’re happy to have you here,” Rivet says.
“We should totally start our own club,” Emma announces. I laugh again.
“I second that,” Rivet responds. Minx shakes her head smiling.
“Would you like some breakfast,” Wren asks.
“Please. I’m starving.” I smile at her. Wren, Minx, and I walk into the kitchen leaving Rivet and Emma to discuss ideas. Tink and Lolita are engrossed in whatever show they’re watching. The kitchen holds many different cereal options on the counter. “Doesn’t look like you have much to choose from,” I tease. I pick a box and pour myself a bowl. Minx shoots me an impish smile.
“What are you planning to do now that you’re not working at the bar,” Wren asks me.
“I haven’t even thought about it,” I admit. “I’m going to take a week to just decompress. Next week, I’ll start the job search.”
“You should ask Tink and Lo if Rosie’s is hiring. The two of them work there and at Big Shotz,” Minx explains. “Both are club owned businesses.”
“I’ll talk to them. Thanks,” I reply.
“You could also talk to Cali about working at A Novel Bunch,” Wren suggests.
“I don’t think a bakery is a good fit for me,” I tell her, sitting down at the table. I can cook a little, but when it comes to baking, I always manage to fuck something up. Even with a recipe right in front of me.
“You’re probably right.” Wren giggles. “How did last night go?”
“It was . . . interesting,” I respond with a smug smile.
“What was last night,” Minx asks.
“The girls at the bar had a going-away party for me,” I tell her. “I may have done something out of character.”
“Do tell,” Wren says sitting. She and I are opposites. Where she’s primmer and more proper, I’m a bit more on the wild side. Even so, last night was not something I’ve done before. One night stands, sure, but fucking in the bathroom of a bar? Never. The way my mystery man was watching me made me exude more confidence than usual. Paired with the whiskey I was drinking, there was no stopping me.
“I had sex with a guy in the women’s bathroom.” Wren’s jaw drops while Minx’s eyes light up.
“You did what?” they say in unison. Wren in surprise, Minx more in awe.
“Who was he,” Wren asks.
“I didn’t ask for his name,” I state.
“Seriously?” Wren shouts.
“Yup, and when we were done, I just left,” I tell them. Wren is staring at me in horror. “It’s not like I was looking for Prince Charming.”
“That’s pretty bold.” Minx laughs. “Raze never would have let me just walk away from him.”
“I didn’t really give him a chance to stop me. I left the bar pretty quick,” I admit.
“Wren,” a male voice shouts. That voice sounds familiar.
“In the kitchen,” she responds, rolling her eyes and looks to me.
I turn around to the mystery man walking into the kitchen. His eyes find mine. For a split second, shock flashes across his face, but it’s gone just as quick. He looks at Wren with a questioning expression.
“This is Sienna. My best friend,” she says to him like he should already know this. “Sienna, this is my brother Shade.”
“Hey.” I give him a smug grin. She’s told me a little about him, but I didn’t know he was part of the Savage Menaces.

Shade
Sienna. Gorgeous name for an even more gorgeous woman. Her being my sister’s best friend is going to make things difficult, but it won’t stop me from wanting her again. She’s wearing sweats and a tank top with no bra. I know this thanks to her nipples standing at attention.
“Sup,” I respond and turn my attention back to Wren, trying to ignore Sienna. “Buster asked that I handle the run this month since they’re having their honeymoon,” I say it in quotes because with Cali pregnant, they aren’t going anywhere. I’m going on this run to let them have the house to themselves for the week.
“Okay.” Wren shrugs.
“Sketch is coming with me,” I tell her.
“And?” She deadpans. I shrug.
“You two have been spending a lot of time together, so I thought I would let you know,” I reply. Wren stands and walks out of the kitchen without a word. We aren’t as close as we used to be. Something happened a couple of years after I moved to Arizona, but she won’t tell me what. She barely fucking talks to me now.
“Who is Sketch and what was that about?” Sienna says to Minx.
“Sketch is one of the brothers, but I’m not sure why she walked out,” Minx responds. “I’ll go talk to her.” I move out of Minx’s way as she walks out of the kitchen following Wren, leaving Sienna and me alone. Sienna stands from the table and moves to the sink. Her sweats are hanging low on her hips showing off a sliver of her panties. What I wouldn’t do to rip them off her and have her right here.
“I bet you didn’t expect this scenario when you walked out of that bathroom last night,” I say to her. She ignores me. I move to stand by her side, leaning my back against the counter. I glance down at her tits, imagining taking each one in my mouth. I look back to her face and smirk. “You telling me you already forgot about our night together?”<

“Your sister is my best friend and roommate. So yeah, you could say I forgot all about it. You can forget about it too for all I care,” Sienna throws sass at me.
“Not gonna happen, sugar. Don’t act like you can either,” I tell her. She turns to me and glares. I grin and wink at her, then walk out of the kitchen. She might be my sister’s best friend, but I can still tease her. I walk back down to the clubhouse and find Maverick sitting at one of the picnic tables, smoking.
“What’s with the smug look?” he says as I walk up to him.
“I found out who the girl from last night is,” I tell him. “But it’s gonna be a challenge getting her again.”
“Who is she and why?”
“She’s my sister’s best friend,” I admit and he chuckles.
“Does Wren know,” he asks. I shake my head. “You’re so fucked, bro.”
“You’re telling me.” I sigh.
“Don’t even think about chasing after her unless you want her to make an honest man outta ya.” He laughs out. “Wren will fucking kill you if you break her best friend’s heart.”
“Won’t be a problem if all we’re doing is having fun and no one tells Wren.”
“A woman who you actually want repeats with? She’s gonna be your end game, bro. I’m calling it now,” Maverick states.
“The fuck she is. I’m not getting tied down,” I say. The look on his face says he doesn’t believe me but he drops it. He does have a point though. I’ve never been one to fuck the same chick twice.
“What time are you and Red heading out,” I ask Maverick. Smokey and Tank left early this morning so they could be home by tonight.
“Here pretty soon,” he tells me, taking a drag off his cigarette. “Just waiting on Red’s slow ass.”
“That fucker is always taking his sweet time.” I chuckle. A couple of minutes later, Red comes walking out of the clubhouse.
“Alright, let’s roll,” he says as he walks up to us.
“‘Bout fucking time,” Maverick responds.
“Drive safe, fuckers,” I tell them.
“Be sure to let us know when the wedding is.” Maverick climbs into his car.
“Fuck you,” I respond and he snickers.
“Who’s getting married,” Minx asks from behind me.
“Holy shit, Minx!” I turn to face her. “No one is. Mav is being an asshole.”
“Mhmm.” She eyes me suspiciously.
“Did you talk to Wren?”
“Yeah, she’s okay.” Minx walks toward the clubhouse.
“That’s all you’re gonna tell me?” I call out to her. She nods her head before walking in the building. What in the actual fuck is going on around here? I walk inside and straight to the bar. Bull gave Lolita and Tink the day off since Buster and Cali got married yesterday. Instead, there’s a prospect behind the bar.
“Is it too early to drink,” I ask Chains.
“It’s never too early,” he responds. “What can I get ya?”
“I’ll have a soda for now.” He pulls a can of Coke out of the cooler and sets it in front of me.
“Hey, baby.” Coco, one of the cut bunnies, rubs her hand across my shoulder. “Can I get you anything?”
“Not right now, Coco.”
“Not even a massage?” she draws out.
“No.” I deadpan.
“Beat it, Coco. We got shit to talk about,” Sketch tells her. He sits next to me, and Coco walks away, sulking. “You talk to Wren?”
“Yeah,” I respond.
“She say anything?”
“Nope. She caught an attitude and walked away from me,” I tell him.
“She’s had a lot of that lately.” he shakes his head.
“You have a thing for my sister,” I ask and his eyes bug out.
“What? No way,” he responds a little too fast. I glare at him for a beat, then let it go. It wouldn't be that bad if he did. She could do worse. In fact, her current boyfriend is worse. I haven’t even met the guy and I don’t fucking like him.
“How did the rest of the reception go?”
“Eh.” He shrugs. “The happy couple went to bed shortly after y’all left.”
“I figured they would,” I reply.
“Where did y’all end up going?”
“To Bluez Lounge,” I tell him.
“Oh, that place Wren’s roommate works?”
“How the fuck did you know that,” I question him.
“Wren and I talked about a lot when we were on lockdown,” he reminds me. “Were there any hot chicks there?”
“Yeah.” I snicker.
“None of them wanted to go home with you, huh?” He laughs.
“That’s not exactly it,” I say.
“What happened?”
“The one I was interested in turned out to be my sister’s best friend,” I admit.
“You’re fucking kidding me!”
“I wish I was,” I tell him. “Speak a word of this to Wren and you’ll never have a fucking chance with her. Got it?”
“Yeah, bro.” He snorts. “I got it.”
I thought about her the rest of the night after she walked out on me. Finding out she’s my sister’s best friend is like a blow to the gut. She caught my eye for a reason, and now I that I know who she is, I’ll have to work hard to win her over.

Sienna
We just finished with lunch and Wren, Rivet, and I decide to get dressed and go play pool in the clubhouse. I change into my distressed jeans and a maroon t-shirt that fits like a glove— casual yet sexy. I slide on my matching chucks and pile my hair on my head in a messy bun. Swiping on some mascara and eyeliner, I’m ready to go.
“How can you be dressed down yet still look so hot?” Rivet whisper-shouts at me. I shrug and giggle. The four of us walk down to the clubhouse together. Wren and I walking with our arms linked together.
“How are things with you and Zack,” I ask her. She’s been dating him for around six months now and from some of the things she’s told me about him, I’m not his biggest fan. Of course, I haven’t gotten to meet him yet because of my work schedule.
“We’re really good. We should have a double date soon so you can finally meet him,” she suggests.
“Great idea but you’re forgetting I don’t have a boyfriend,” I remind her.
“I’m sure he has a friend he could bring. I’ll text him!” She pulls her phone out to send Zack a text. Walking into the clubhouse, I’m assaulted with the scent of leather and cigarettes.
“I’ll go for you, but I can already tell you I won’t be interested in anyone he’s going to bring,” I tell her.
“Where are y’all going?” Standing before us is a gorgeous, God-like man. He has long, dirty blonde-ish hair pulled back into a bun and a short beard. His arms are covered, and I mean covered, in tattoos. His neck too. I look at Wren so I won’t gawk at him.
“Nowhere,” Wren says to the guy. He gives her pleading eyes. “Come on, Sienna. Let’s go.” She drags me over to the pool tables where Rivet is talking to Minx.
“Do you want to tell me what that was about,” I whisper to Wren.
“Maybe later,” she replies.
“Okay, what about who that guy is?”
“She didn’t tell you? That’s Sketch.” Rivet grins.
“Well, now everything makes a little more sense,” I chuckle.
“What is that supposed to mean,” Wren asks.
“Oh, nothing,” I sing-song. She glances at her phone and her face lights up.
“He’s got someone for you,” she tells me. “Double date, Tuesday night.”
“Can’t wait,” I mumble sarcastically.
“Who’s going on a double date? Why wasn’t I invited?” Minx pouts.
“I’m not ready for Zack to meet any of the brothers,” Wren says with hesitation.
“Wait, has Shade met him,” Minx asks. Wren shakes her head. “You’ve been dating him for how long? And your own brother ha
sn’t even met him?”
“I don’t want Shade scaring him away,” Wren admits.
“Honey, if he gets scared away by your brother then he isn’t the one,” I tell her. She lets out a heavy sigh.
“Maybe I’ll have him come to the BBQ next Sunday so everyone can meet him,” she decides. She turns to me. “You and I are still going on that double date though.”
“Okay.” I shrug with a grin. Wren and Minx get a game started while Rivet and I watch. I glance around the room, my eyes landing on Shade’s, who is already staring at me, ignoring the cut bunny on his lap. He smirks at me then whispers something in the girl’s ear, a smile stretching across her face.
“How did you and Wren meet?” Rivet pulls my attention away from Shade.
“Three years ago, I had an ad up around the college looking for a roommate. She was the fifth person to call about it, so I wasn’t hopeful. When we met, we kind of just clicked and moved her in the next day,” I explain. “We’re opposites in a lot of ways, but we’ve always made it work.”
“It’s nice when life works out like that,” she replies.
“Yeah, it is.” I smile.
“You ladies up for playing teams,” one of the brothers asks, walking up to Rivet and I. I glance at his cut.
“Sure, Buzz.” I wink at him. He’s not bad looking. He has a military-style haircut, muscular, and tattoos coloring his arms. Buzz gives me a lazy smile and his eyes roam over my body. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Shade staring daggers. Two can play this game.
“Me and Sienna vs you and Kicks,” Rivet states, jumping out of her chair. We move to another pool table since Minx and Wren are still playing their game. I rack the balls as Shade and Sketch walk over.
“I have some balls you can play with,” Shade says to me. I roll my eyes. Sketch shakes his head like he knows something.
“Shade!” Wren chastises him. She gives me an apologetic look. “Ignore him, he’s a perv.”
“It’s okay, Wren. I’ve heard worse from guys at the bar,” I tell her. I walk past Buzz, intentionally brushing my shoulder against his. “Your shot.” I stand between Rivet and Shade, watching Buzz take his shot. Shade’s hand grazes mine. It sends a little shock up my arm. I cross my arms over my chest and he chuckles. Buzz makes two stripes before missing.
