Nevermore, Dude

“You were scared I’d be a jerk, and you were never rude or mean. You just ignored and avoided me and I was desperate for your attention.” Chris smirks, clinking their glasses together.

Jamie sips his drink and then puts it back down so he can take his black suit jacket off and hang it over a chair.

Chris whistles. “Stripping already, my lucky night.”

Jamie nudges Chris. “No rush. I just want out this suit; I’m so not used to suits.”

“You look good in it though,” Chris says in a husky voice and he puts his own glass down and steps closer, wrapping his hand around Jamie’s tie and carefully dragging him in for a scorching kiss.

Jamie hooks his arms around Chris’ neck and they stand there kissing deeply for so long that Jamie feels dizzy. When Chris breaks the kiss it’s only to start loosening Jamie’s tie and unraveling the knot before taking it off and discarding it. Jamie slides his hands under Chris’ suit jacket and removes it carefully.

“I can’t believe we’re married,” Jamie says, pausing in stripping of Chris’ suit to pull him in for a hug and a quick kiss.

Chris kisses him back. “‘My husband.’ Sounds perfect to me.”

“God, I love you.” He feels so overwhelmed with emotion, like he’s one of the champagne bottles they’ve opened today, full of bubbles and ready to explode in excitement. He has married the man of his dreams.

“Love you, too,” Chris says back and there has never been a time in their years together that Chris hasn’t responded to those words with a declaration of his own. Jamie hopes the time will never come when either of them stop saying it.

“I want to make love to my husband,” Jamie says softly.

Chris smiles. “I can grant that wish,”

Standing in front of Jamie, Chris starts to unbutton his shirt slowly and unties his tie, discarding the clothes on to the floor. Jamie goes to start unbuttoning his own shirt but Chris steps forward and stops him, taking over. “I want to take care of my husband.”

Jamie hopes his smile doesn’t show how giddy that makes him feel. He opens his arms and Chris starts on his buttons. One by one Chris slips them out of the holes, then he strokes over Jamie’s bare chest, flicking his piercing before he pushes the shirt off Jamie’s shoulders.

“Help me with your shoes?” Chris asks and Jamie nods. They move to sit on the edge of the bed and Jamie kicks off his shoes and pulls his socks. Chris does the same. They stand up again to help each other unbuckle their belts and remove their formal pants and underwear.

Jamie looks at his naked husband for the first time and he desires him just as much as he always has. He loves this man, he aches for him, and pulls Chris into a kiss as soon as he can. They clamber onto the bed together, getting comfortable and tangling each other up in the other’s limbs.

“I love you so much,” Jamie gasps as Chris gets a hand on his dick, making him squirm.

Chris strokes him gently. “I love you, too.”

“Promise me we’ll always be like this,” Jamie begs as Chris pins him to the bed.

Chris looks down into his eyes. “I promise baby, you and me, we fit…wouldn’t have got to have these rings on our fingers if we didn’t.”

Jamie takes Chris’ hand and kisses the gold band. “Sorry to be needy. Just been thinking about the past today and our future and I really want to keep you forever, as long as you want to stay.”

Jamie would never want Chris to stay if he was unhappy and hopes that never happens.

  Chris kisses him soundly.

“I wouldn’t have married you if I wasn’t aiming for forever.”

“So no regrets you didn’t marry some cute cheerleader?” Jamie asks, sucking on Chris earlobe and stroking a hand over his cock and balls, making him hiss.

“Think I can live with my choice.” Chris grins his dazzling smile, full of joy and a touch of cheeky charm. Jamie sees the words for what they are. He knows in his heart that Chris has no regrets about hooking up for life with the goth he had to share a cabin with, who spent a week ignoring him in favor of books.

Chris kisses him hard and fast, pinning Jamie’s hands loosely above his head and they both know Jamie could pull away if he needed or wanted to, but they also know he has never wanted to.

“Playing things that way, huh?” Jamie asks, giving his most flirtatious look he can manage.

“Said I wanted to look after my husband. Don’t I always take good care of you when I say I will?” Chris leans closer and kisses Jamie once he finishes his teasing words and he runs their hips together, sliding against each other and sending sparks of pleasure up Jamie’s spine.

Jamie pouts. “You take care of me, but sometimes you keep me waiting.”

Chris can get in these moods when he wants to take everything achingly slow, but he does seem to always know how much Jamie can take and gives him what he needs before he’s too desperate. But Jamie likes to complain a little and get his own way.

“Are you that desperate for my touch?” Chris smirks happily. He never gets too cocky, but he has the confidence and swagger from playing football, from coaching.

Jamie sighs grumpily. “I’ve wanted you from the moment I saw you in your suit standing in the isle. You always look so good, but especially today and damn it I want you inside of me.”

Chris curses in a low voice. “You make me so hot I can hardly control myself. I could fuck you every day and it’s still not be enough.”

Chris presses his forehead to Jamie’s, breathing hard, and Jamie tips his head so his lips brush Chris’ which seems to spark something in Chris who kisses him desperately, and Jamie wants to say he could never get enough of this either, but he’s past talking.

Twisting in Chris’ grip, Chris let’s go of Jamie’s arms so he can turn him onto his front and Jamie arches his back, begging with his body language for more. Chris moves away for a moment, hurriedly assuring them both he’s just getting lube and will only be a second. And he is fast. Soon he’s back between Jamie’s legs, his firm hands pulling apart Jamie’s ass cheeks, and Jamie moans when he feels the point of a probing tongue.

“Faster,” Jamie gasps, hitting the pillow in front of him. His body feels so tense, like a tightly strung guitar string about to snap.

Chris chuckles and licks over Jamie’s hole, licking and pressing deeper and then his lubed up fingers are sliding and pressing, too, and he’s slowly opened up. Jamie grumbles a little at how slow but he knows taking care is for the best. Chris has a pretty thick cock, so rushing could lead to pain and today Jamie wants this to be perfect, a day he’ll remember every part of.

They don’t use condoms anymore, they stopped about a year ago after both getting tested together, so he listens as Chris slicks himself up with lube and whispers, asking Jamie if he’s ready, if he’s sure, asking how much he wants this, not breaching Jamie’s hole with the head of his cock till Jamie is begging him.

“Damn it, I can take it Chris, please, please fuck me,” Jamie demands.

Chris nuzzles against Jamie’s neck and chuckles a little, but then he does press all the way in till his hips touch Jamie’s ass. Chris kisses his neck before he starts thrusting steadily.

Jamie moans. “That’s more like it. Love when you take care of me.”

And Chris does take care of Jamie, giving him everything he needs, one firm hand on his hip, the other under his body wrapped around his dick, stroking him in time with the trusts. Chris seems to know exactly how to move, how fast, how hard to drive Jamie wild.

They move together and soon Jamie is a babbling mess, not managing much beyond curse words and Chris’ name. His orgasm builds suddenly and explodes through his body, leaving him weak. Chris keeps thrusting, faster and less even, still sending sparks of pleasure into Jamie’s sensitive body.

“Jamie,” Chris gasps as his hips stutter and he comes.

Chris withdraws carefully and grabs some wet wipes from the bag beside the bed and starts cleaning them both up with more
energy than anyone should have right after an orgasm, but Chris has always been like that after sex.

It’s Chris who pulls the blankets back and gets them both comfortable before kissing Jamie softly.

“So married sex is awesome, right?” Chris says happily.

“Married sex is excellent.” Jamie nods.

Chris finds Jamie’s hand and laces their fingers together, holding them up like he’s admiring the rings on their fingers. “Think I’m going to like being married.”

“Me, too,” Jamie smiles. He’s feeling very satisfied, like the cat that got the cream, as they say.

  Epilogue

Chris had suggested a road trip for their honeymoon as neither of them really liked flying. But he’s kept a surprise for their second stop. Jamie is asleep in the passenger seat when Chris pulls off the road and down the familiar track into a parking lot.

Once he stops and parks he leans over to carefully shake Jamie awake, knowing he hates to be startled. Jamie blinks and sits up, frowning.

  “Are we…?” Jamie growls.

Chris grins. “At camp? Yes. I thought a few days where we first met would be romantic. So you like it?”

“I love it!” Jamie unbuckles his seatbelt and launches over the gap between them to hug Chris.

“Come on, I got our old cabin, but with a double bed.” Chris waggles his eyebrows and Jamie has to kiss him, he’s too cute.

They get out of the car, get their bags, and head into a camp they’ve not seen in years. It doesn’t look like it’s changed. They go to register and the teen girl smiles and asks them to come with her and leads them to a picnic area that has food and cake and even a bottle of wine in ice.

“A little thank you from the director,” the teen explains.

“Thank her for us,” Chris smiles and Jamie nods, and the girl, Sam, agrees and leaves.

Chris moves towards the food. “This is good timing, I’m starving from the drive.”

“Do I get to feed you cake or is that too cute?”

“You can feed me cake. No one else here, so no one can tell us to be less cutesy,” Chris grins.

They sit down side by side by the picnic table and make up plates of food to eat and pour glasses of wine as neither of them will be driving for a few days. They clink their glasses together and feed each other bits of food and it feels perfect. The sun is shining and Chris can hear kids playing and he feels so peaceful.

He’d loved this place as a kid and then dreaded coming when he was in his twenties, but it had been the best decision of his life and now here he is, back in the world of camp with his husband, and he plans moonlit walks by the lake and maybe even skinny dipping if they’re brave enough.

“I was worried once that when we left this place our relationship wouldn’t work or last. I’ve never been so glad to be wrong in my life,” Jamie says, brushing cake crumbs off his shorts.

Chris kisses him briefly. “I had the same fears. Long distance wasn’t easy, but so worth it.”

He’d hated being away from Jamie after getting to see him every day. He had told his best friend Cherry about Jamie so many times she got sick of him and made him go and visit Jamie to declare his love.

They’d been in Jamie’s dorm room, painted dark purple, books everywhere, and posters of bands that Chris has never heard of. They’d are cheap take-out pizza and nothing had ever tasted so good because he was with Jamie again and because when Chris made his confession, Jamie has said it back.

“You look deep in thought,” Jamie comments.

“Thinking of the first time we said I love you to each other,” Chris admits.

Jamie smiles. “One of the happiest times I had in college, and I knew when I said it that I’d never get tired of saying it.”

“To us,” Chris holds up his wine glass and Jamie echoes his words. They touch their glasses once again. There have been a lot of toasts in the past few days, from long ones by their fathers and best people, and each has been perfect, but there is something to be said for cold wine on a hot day in the open air, and it makes Chris think even though his wedding day was the best day of his life so far, that his life beyond it was going to be filled with best moments, new firsts.

“Want to go to our dock?” Jamie asks and Chris knows Jamie means the small dock where they first kissed, first admitted to wanting something romantic as well as their budding friendship.

“Yeah, but only if you kiss me there,” Chris says, standing and offering his hand.

Jamie takes it with a mock thoughtful face. “I guess I can do that, if I must.”

  “Stop teasing,” Chris grumbles.

“You know I always want to kiss you, always have and always will,” Jamie says, pecking Chris on the lips in a fast, sweet kiss.

  “Same here.”

They walk hand in hand down a still familiar path to a lake Chris will always think of as theirs, to their dock, so they can sneak kisses like teenagers.
