Nick shook his head slowly in disbelief. “How could anyone as beautiful as you, as sweet and talented and incredible as you are, be single for so long? I just can’t understand it!”

Her body began to tremble ever so slightly, and she glanced for a long moment at his lips before she made herself look up into his eyes again. “I guess it just hasn’t come up, and I’ve busied myself with my work,” she admitted, wondering what his lips would feel like on hers, and wishing that she could stop herself from wondering it.

Nick’s voice was low and quiet, as he reached his hand up to touch the delicate lines of her cheek and the side of her face. “I am totally stunned by that. I can’t imagine it. How could everyone not want you? You’re breathtaking. Beautiful… and breathtaking.”

He breathed out huskily, and she felt her own breath escape her as she gazed into his eyes and turned her face slightly into his hand, loving the feel of his fingers against her skin. It was hypnotizing to her. She didn’t know what made her so bold, but she parted her lips slightly and pressed them against the inside of his palm for a lingering moment, and she heard him draw in a sharp breath.

Turning her eyes up slowly to his, she saw that he was staring at her as well, almost as if he was in the same sort of trance that she was in, and as the wonder and marvel of that surprised her, he slowly brought his mouth to hers, kissing her softly and gently, taking his time, moving his lips over hers, savoring her, learning her mouth with his, and giving in completely to the desires that had plagued him since he had first laid eyes on her.

Chanel was lost completely in his kiss, and for her the whole world disappeared, and there was no one in existence in the universe except for the two of them. Their mouths moved together as she kissed him back, their breath mingled, and their bodies burned hotter and hotter as the kiss further ignited the flames within them. She only wanted to give in to it more. Reaching her arms up, she slid them around his neck and leaned herself softly against him, kissing him more deeply. He groaned and in response wrapped his strong arms around her, pulling her up tight against him as he splayed his fingers over her back and parted her lips open further, tasting much more of her.

A soft sigh escaped her and the burning in her belly spread. Desire began to overtake her, and part of her wanted to let go of him, but the greater part of her wanted more of him. She found herself moving her fingers over the sculpted curves of his muscled chest and arms, feeling with her fingertips what she had been painting with her brush just minutes before. Her hands slid back up his neck and into the dark locks of his hair, where her fingers curled around snugly, and she pulled him toward her just a little bit more.

The tentativeness of their first kiss seemed to evaporate, like steam in the hot sun, and it was replaced with a growing hunger, one ravenous and unrelenting. Nick’s fingers twisted the material of her dress in a tight grip and she found herself feeling totally constricted by it. She grew breathless as their passionate kisses blazed with desire, and as he moved closer to her, she felt his solid erection press firmly against her body. She gasped at the feel of it, and she held him tighter for just a moment.

A soft groan escaped him, one of pure need, and she came to some kind of a blurred crossroads in her mind. It was the crossroad of a decision, one that she might cherish, and one that she could deeply regret. She knew that her judgment was totally clouded by the fires of the burning ache that she felt within her, more intense than she had ever felt them with any other lover, and she thought for the slightest moment about it.

Was one night with him, locked in his passionate embrace, holding the exquisite body that she had touched in full with her eyes and recreated with her brush and mind, worth whatever the consequence of what such an indulgent decision might be? She didn’t have to consider it for much longer than a moment. Yes, she told herself; he was so worth it.

The uncontrollable attraction she felt for him and that he seemed to feel every bit as much for her was not going to be denied. She would gamble the consequences and take the risk, knowing that whatever might happen afterward would pale in shallow comparison to the incredible experience of becoming his lover, even just once.

“Take it off,” she murmured against his lips, feeling reckless and daring. He paused in his heated kiss and looked down at her questioningly, as if he was certain he had been dreaming and hadn’t heard her correctly.

Chanel raised her eyes to him and lifted her lips from his a little. Staring up into the beautiful blue of his eyes, she said it again, “My dress… take it off. I want to feel you. I want you to touch me.” She couldn’t believe that the words were coming from her mouth, but they were definitely coming from her mind and her heart, and much to her surprise, she meant them.

Nick didn’t need to be told twice. He brought his hands around to the front of her dress with a naughty smile, gave his head a shake, and looked at her in wonder. “You are one sweet surprise after another, do you know that? I am completely amazed by you.”

“Not as much as I’m amazed by you,” she answered him, meaning it as she reached her fingers to his face and touched his cheek, pushing the black locks of unkempt hair from his forehead. He leaned forward and kissed her mouth softly and then looked down at his hands as he unbuttoned her dress, slowly revealing her dark skin beneath the material.

With every button opened, she felt herself more and more vulnerable to him. She hadn’t been with another man in five years, and no man had set his eyes or hands on her in all of that time. It was a risk just letting him look upon her, let alone touch her and love her.

As he pushed her dress from her body, he stared at her and spoke in a hushed tone, his eyes taking in all of her. “You are so beautiful. You don’t even know it, do you?” he asked, looking from her curves and lines up to her face and meeting her eyes. “I couldn’t even imagine this beauty if I wanted to.” With slow hands he reached for her, touching her gently at the waist as he pulled her to him, kissing her long and sensually, before taking her hand and leading her to his bed.

With deliberate care, Nick took his time peeling her bra and panties off her, replacing the satin and lace which had covered her bared flesh with a hungry mouth, an insistent tongue, and insatiable desire.

Chanel let all of her inhibitions go as she reveled in the pure pleasure she felt as they both touched and tasted and teased one another. She couldn’t believe that they were falling into each other’s arms the way that they were, but stranger things had happened in her life, and once the sparks between them ignited, there was no turning back for either of them. Both of them were completely lost in each other, and neither of them wanted to turn back from it.

Breathless with their need, he moved above her and she parted her thighs for him, anxious to feel him where she ached for him most. He stared down at her as he readied himself, and spoke in an incredulous tone.

“I can’t believe this is happening… you’re so amazing. How are you even here with me in my arms?” He kissed her slowly and sensually, and as he did so, he entered her, taking his time, inch by thick inch, filling her with himself and flooding her with exquisite pleasure. She drew in a sharp breath and closed her eyes, pushing her head back into the pillow as her whole body tensed and she arched her back, bringing him into the depths of her, until he had reached his fullness.

Another long kiss and he began to move, and she swayed her hips with his, slow and gentle at first, both of them reveling in the intensity of the pleasure they shared. Gasping for breath, they kissed again, touching and holding, moving in their slow love dance, until the fires between them grew hotter and more demanding. Sweat beaded up along their skin, their hearts began to race, their lungs would not hold their breath, and ecstasy such as neither of them had ever felt before overwhelmed them.

Crying out together with their releases, they trembled and held fast to one another, burying their faces in each other’s necks until the electric volts that had riveted through them eased, and their bodies began to relax. Their br
eath returned, and slowly, he moved from above her, laying himself at her side and holding her close in his arms. He kissed her softly and touched her cheek with his fingertip, searching her eyes in fascination.

“You are a dream…” he whispered. “I’m not even sure this is real, but if it isn’t, I don’t want to wake up.” He smiled then, wide and genuinely, and she knew that he meant what he had said to her.

She grinned back at him. “I don’t want to wake up either. This was… just incredible. I didn’t expect it at all, and I’m so amazed, but I’m so glad we’re here together like this. It is a dream. A sweet dream.”

He looked at her curiously, with some intrigue. “Don’t go yet.”

Chanel blinked in surprise and turned her head a little to look more fully at him. “Don’t go?” she asked, wondering what he meant.

Nick reached for her hand, bringing it to his mouth and kissing her fingers softly. “Don’t go. You were going to leave tomorrow. Don’t leave. We’re taking the boat out into the sea for a long weekend cruise. Stay here with me. Just for the weekend. Stay until Sunday night. I mean, you could leave at any time, but… don’t. Please stay. I’d love to spend more time with you. You’re fascinating to talk with, and you’ll need time for the painting, and then we could have more time to…” He trailed off as he grinned and leaned forward to kiss her mouth, bringing her hand to his chest and letting go of it. She felt his flesh beneath her fingertips, and then she felt his hand moving over her hip as he squeezed her gently and pulled her closer to him.

“Stay with me,” he whispered against her mouth in between kisses.

She could think of no good reason to go back to Boston. Nothing sounded as good as spending a whole weekend with Nick Thomas.

“I’ll stay.” She grinned at him, kissing him back, and he returned her grin.

“Good, because I want so much more of you,” he said in a husky, low voice. He moved his hand to her knee and spread her thighs, moving his body in between them to make love with her again, and she was completely overwhelmed with bliss as she took him into her once more, kissing him long and deep.

  Chapter4

They made love three times that night, and at long last in the wee hours of the morning, they finally fell asleep together, wrapped in each other’s arms. As morning’s light lifted them from their dreams, he woke her with kisses that trailed down from her breasts to the core of her body, and his tongue moved so deftly inside of her that she came hard and fast, twisting her fingers in his hair as she trembled with ecstasy. Just as she was catching her breath, he moved up between her legs to take her again. It was the sweetest morning she could remember in years.

When their hunger for each other had been sated, they showered and dressed and headed upstairs to the dining room for breakfast. The early light glowed all around them and glittered off of the gently rolling waves.

Nick looked at her and tipped his head to one side, regarding her curiously. “Are you glad that you’re staying?” he asked with a hopeful tone.

She grinned at him. “Yes. I’m really glad. This is beautiful. I’ve never seen anything like it,” she told him as she looked from him to the view outside of the windows all around the room.

“I think you’ll like it. I think you’ll really enjoy it, to be honest.” He was so happy that he was nearly beaming with happiness; she could see it in his eyes and in his smile, and she felt exactly the same way, as if she was glowing like the summer sun outside.

When their breakfast was done, he took her on a tour of the entire yacht, from the engine room in the belly of the metal beast to each of the rooms on all of the decks, ending on the top deck where the bridge was. It was then that he brought up the anchor and turned the engines on, readying the boat to go. The captain of the boat stepped aside and let Nick sail the boat out into the wide-open sea, heading south into warmer weather, glistening seas, and brilliant sunlight. He gave the wheel to Chanel and let her sail the boat for a while before they turned it back over to the captain. Then she reminded him that they had a painting to work on.

They spent the rest of the morning together in his bedroom, with her painting him as she had the day before, but that was the only similarity. Everything else about their experience painting was different. There was no boiling tension and silent hunger. There was no frustration inside themselves, trying to hold in all of their thoughts and desires. Instead, they teased and flirted, taunted and talked about many different things.

Their conversations ranged from friends and lives to growing up and funny stories, with a few sad stories. They discovered that there was so much that they had in common, and so much that they could learn from one another. It was as if everything about them was a fascination to the other, and the more they learned, the more they wanted to learn.

The other difference was that he insisted that if she was going to paint him in the nude, that she paint while she was nude as well, and as she had never done it before in her life before, she wasn’t opposed to it. She giggled as she let her clothes fall to the floor, and she took up her brush and painted him as she stood before him bare and beautiful.

“I can’t stand here like this, staring at you and wanting you as much as I do.” He laughed softly and shook his head as he gazed longingly at her.

“Now you know how I feel, standing here looking at you and wanting you.” She smiled lightly, and continued to paint.

“I can’t!” he pouted with a naughty grin, “I want you, and it’s just too tempting to see you there right in front of me looking so good!”

She shook her head and winked at him. “Well you’re just going to have to find your way through it, because we’ve got a painting to work on!” She laughed again, and he groaned with happy misery and blew her a kiss.

The rapport between them was playful and flirty, fun and delightful, and they only stopped painting once to indulge themselves in each other before she staunchly made him return to his post as her model for the canvas.

Chanel felt as if she had found a new friend just as much as she had found a new lover, and one that was light years better than any other lover that she had ever had. He was fun and exciting and sexy as hell, and more than that, he was sweet and thoughtful, and she found herself loving every single moment of being with him.

When they had painted most of the day, he insisted on a break, and she agreed. They both dressed and he took her to the back deck of the boat, where there were fishing poles set up and ready for deep sea fishing.

Chanel stared at them. “Fishing poles?” she asked in surprise, looking over at Nick. He grinned at her.

“Yeah, I thought we’d fish a while and see what we could catch.” He picked up one of the fishing poles and handed it to her. She took it, though it couldn’t possibly have been more foreign in her hands.

“I haven’t ever fished before,” she told him, meaning also in a sense, that not only had she never fished before, but she wasn’t exactly interested in fishing or learning about it.

“You’ll pick it up quickly. Don’t worry about that.” He laughed a little and waved at the deck hand to help her bait her hook.

“Well, thank you for having someone else bait it for me.” She sighed with relief, and then Nick indicated the seats near them.

“Let’s have a seat and get started on it.” He sat down, lodged his pole into a holder, and helped Chanel do the same, and then Andrew brought them champagne.

She smiled then and looked over at Nick. “We’re going to sit here and drink champagne? I thought we were fishing,” she told him in a teasing voice.

“We are, but while we wait for the fish to be interested in what we’re baiting them with, we might as well enjoy some champagne.” He leaned back in his chair and propped his feet up, and she followed suit, laughing again as she pushed her sunglasses back and sipped her champagne, marveling at how unusual her weekend had become.

They sat together, talking and drinking champagne for a little while, when suddenly, Chanel
’s fishing pole was nearly jerked out of the holder that it was in, and she jumped so much that she nearly spilled her champagne.

“Oh gosh! What was that? What’s happening?” she asked as she yanked her sunglasses off and stared at the fishing pole.

“You’ve got something on your line!” he shouted excitedly, and her heart nearly flipped out of her chest.

“A fish? I have a fish?” she asked in utter amazement. She hadn’t expected to catch anything.

“No idea what you have on there, but we’ll find out,” he answered quickly.

Nick leapt from his chair, handing both her glass of champagne and his to Andrew, who was standing nearby, and then he pushed the fishing pole into Chanel’s hands and wrapped his arms around her from behind, holding onto it with her, showing her how to reel her fish in.

“Reeling! Got it!” She was growing more and more excited as tension shot through her, and she wrestled with whatever it was that was fighting her at the end of her fishing line. She was beginning to not mind the fishing; she liked the thrill of the fight with the fish, and she loved Nick’s arms around her as he helped her reeling it in.
