The Fallen Angels Academy Trilogy: Paranormal reverse harem romance

“There’s still a slim chance of getting her back…” a soft voice came from behind us. Ehreus and I turned to Debbie in unison. “If you could elicit a powerful enough emotion in Lamora, reminding her of the past, she might be able to un-turn…”
Tessa scoffed. “She hasn’t been with us long enough. What kind of sweet memories do we share?”
I turned to Ehreus. “The Agent of Darkness who captured her mentioned something about her good friend. Lamora told you about her past…” I tried to hold back the jealous consuming my thoughts. “What is it?”
Letting out a sigh, Ehreus perched on the bench and pinched the bridge of his nose. “She had a best friend called Cora, who fell in love with an Agent of Darkness. So they both went to the Underworld only to find out it was all a trap. Lamora blamed herself for not being able to save her friend. That’s all she told me.”
“I’d say the chance of getting her back is pretty slim. If she’s reunited with her so-called best friend, why do you think she wants to come back to Fallen Angels? Unless–” Tessa scoffed. “Unless she misses your cocks that much.”
An idea sprang to my mind. Clenched fists, I turned to Ehreus and said something I’d never thought I would, “We have to go to the Underworld.” All eyes flew open, including my own. I couldn’t believe such words had fallen from my lips.
“Are you…fucking nuts?” said Debbie, her face twisting.
Ehreus arched his brow. “Don’t you think this feels very much like a trap?”
I pursed my lips, frustration tingled every cell within me. Now that Ehreus mentioned it, it did feel like a bait. Andrajvah wanted the heart of an archangel to fulfill his final transformation. To make him an indestructible divine being that even the Divine Principal couldn’t compare. If I were to throw myself to Andrajvah, we would stand no chance against him. The world would turn into darkness.
But Lamora…I couldn’t just let her turn…
“It’s a chance I’m willing to take,” I said firmly.
“Um, how are you guys getting there? By cab?” retorted Tessa.
Ehreus and I traded looks. “We’ll talk with the Divine Principal.”
Ehreus sprang out of the bench tugging his hair. “Are you fucking idiot? Telling the Divine Principal? You might as well scrap the whole bloody plan? So many inmates had been abducted and turned, how many times did the Divine Principal tell you to confront Andrajvah? All he’s ever done is ask you to fucking wait for the sky to fall.” His chest beat erratically and his eyes bulged out of his skull. He did care for Lamora after all.
A low growl rumbled from my chest as I hated the truth in his words. “Right. What’s your suggestion?”
Ehreus sucked in a deep breath and wiped his arm over his sweating forehead. “We need to get someone who knows black magic. Get them to connect us with an interworld portal.”
Debbie nudged Tessa on the elbow. “You know black magic.”
I arched a brow at Tessa.
Tessa glanced at me and said, “No, I don’t.”
“Yes, you do. I saw your blade turning green when you were trying to fight the Agent of Darkness.”
“Nah, your eyes were playing tricks.” Tessa waved her hand dismissively at Debbie when Ehreus grabbed her by the wrist, making her yelp. Tessa writhed trying to free herself from Ehreus’ iron grip but her effort was futile.
“So you know black magic?” growled Ehreus.
Tessa’s lips trembled. “Uh, yeah? But I’m not going to do it. I don’t wanna get into some deep shit.”
“Tessa, we need your help,” I said pleadingly.
Ehreus tightened his grip on her until she cried out in pain. “Well, you used black magic then. Aliuth here will take you to the court for breaking the code of magic.”
Tessa’s eyes fluttered open. “What the fuck? I was only doing that to save your bitch.”
A smirk quirked the corner of Ehreus’ lips. “Or you can help us again so we’ll pretend this never happens.” Ehreus winked at me.
Tessa’s eyes darted between Ehreus and me before she rolled her eyes and let out a sigh. “Alright, fine. But if I’m getting into deep shit with the Divine Principal, I’m going to turn myself into an Agent of Darkness and come back to rip your souls.”
“Deal,” I said.
