Drop Dead Dirty

  “I’m yours,” I breathed.

“Spit on those fingers and show me.”

I felt like a dirty little bitch as I brought my glistening fingers up to the screen view and spat for him.

I felt like the proudest dirty little bitch in the universe as he groaned and called me a good girl.

My moans were feral little whimpers as I pressed those fingers back to my clit and brought myself off to his commands. My stomach was a knotted mess of want as he told me he was going to claim my dirty little asshole hard enough to make me squeal. That I was going to scream for more. That he was going to stretch me, and use me, and see me a squirming wreck of skin craving skin as he slammed balls deep in every hole I had to give.

  And I knew myself.

I recognised myself. The me I hadn’t known for years.

The me buried deep beneath supermarket checkout days, and polite conversation with the neighbours, and parents’ evenings talking about reading levels.

The me buried deep beneath years of waning confidence, and getting older.

The me buried deep beneath feeling like an average woman. Average and trying to hold myself firm in the right places. To keep myself upright and uptight and responsible, and wear tights to hide my cellulite.

The dirty girl underneath burst free like a whole damn tidal wave when Oliver Kent told me to come for him. I had to silence my cries with tightly held breath, daring to hiss out just a little as my legs jerked against the sofa cushions, and I heard him too, letting out just a few guttural grunts that saw the screen shudder. His chest was rising and falling deep in the aftermath, the sounds of him hard enough to make me heady as I came to my senses.

Oh, how I loved it when he smiled. I knew that smile. The all-walls-down kind of smile which marked his splayed open soul meeting mine and grabbing on tight.

“Well, that was something,” he said, and his voice had that lightness I adored.

“Something quite intense…” I giggled, and couldn’t hold it back. “I really didn’t see that coming… it seems I’m a much dirtier girl than I imagined.”

“Not nearly as much of a dirty girl as you will be,” he told me. “I haven’t even seen those pretty little tits of yours on camera yet, and that’s just the beginning…”

The bloom of my cheeks burned afresh. “These little tits aren’t nearly so pretty as you remember,” I warned him, but his smirk was bold.

“I think you should let me be the judge of that, pretty girl.” He raised an eyebrow. “Just a little peek, as a taster.”

I couldn’t hold back the fresh laughter, shaking my head at how naughty even the most innocent little filthy gestures could feel on screen.

“You really want me to flash you?” I prompted, and he nodded.

“Yes, Maisie Moore, I really do want you to flash me.”

I made sure the angle was good, holding the phone up high and looking down at my chest before loosening the wrap. I couldn’t even keep my eyes open as he examined my goods, pleading to the lord of everything that my tits were decent enough not to disappoint him.

He didn’t make a sound. Not for long seconds. Long enough seconds that I panicked and opened my eyes at him, pulling the satin closed tight. But it wasn’t disappointment staring back at me when I dropped back into a more casual position with my face filling the screen.

“Well?” I poked, heart hammering at his smile. “Still wanting a taste after the screen show?”

“These few weeks are going to feel like a decade all over again,” he said. “I’m absolutely desperate for a taste of you, Maisie.”

I rested my cheek against the arm of the sofa, settling down in the glow. A glow I hadn’t felt for years. “I knew I missed you,” I told him. “I had no idea just how much though.”

“I knew I missed you,” he said. “I’ve had a pretty good idea of just how much for quite some time.”

I pinned my thumbnail between my teeth, feeling like the dirty little teen who’d pressed up tight against him on long college nights.

“Do I get a peek too?” I asked. “One for the road, since I’m going to have to get in bed soon like a responsible mother with a responsible day job.”

“You want a flash too, do you?” His eyebrow was raised again. “Hopefully I’m everything you remember…”

He was every little thing I remembered as he lowered the screen angle to show me his stomach, but no longer so little. His muscles were ripped, taut and tight and glistening with his cum, but he was hard all over again along with it. His fingers worked the length of his impressive cock and the head was swollen dark, leaving me open mouthed as his face appeared back in the call window.

“Oliver Kent,” I whispered. “You are quite something. You always were quite something… but you’re quite something and more these days…”

He laughed an easy laugh. “You’re talking about the gym sessions, I imagine,” he said. “They do me good, keep me mentally focused. Keep the business ideas flowing and the stress levels down.”

My giggle was easy too. “That and the rack of abdominal muscles on full attention.”

“That too,” he said, and that cocksure smirk was back. “I hope they’ll please you in person. My stamina is potent, another side benefit.”

I chanced a glance at the clock on the far wall to find midnight had long been and gone. A night owl these days I was not, but I sighed as I smiled over at him, adoring the freshly messy spring of hair across his forehead.

“My stamina is not nearly so potent,” I told him. “Not on weeknights unfortunately.”

“I can imagine,” he said. “Please do feel free to reach out whenever your schedule allows it.”

My nod held nothing back. “I’ll be reaching out whenever my schedule allows it. I hope you will too.”

“I will, yes. We’ve a lot to catch up on,” he said again. “And a lot of fresh shit to get started on.”

My grin felt dopey. Really dopey and childish.

“Goodnight, Ollie. These few weeks are going to go by real damn slow.”

“They will indeed,” he said. “Goodnight, Maisie.”

I could hardly bring myself to press the call end button.

  Chapter Fourteen

  Oliver

This hadn’t been what I intended. Not for a second. Not for one conscious moment as I’d jumped in my Audi and headed back to Much Arlock for a boys’ retreat with Ryan just that short time ago.

I hadn’t intended to dive right back into the Maisie Moore magic and throw open the doors to a whole new world, but it was there. The potential was there, burning bright.

  Fuck, how I wanted it.

My whole body felt different on site at Hadley and Mason’s as I worked through the days, counting down heading back to Much Arlock. I was glowing. Alive. Excited.

I was daring to dream again, and these dreams were about so much more than business and commercial success. These dreams were about love. Life.

  Family.

Because that was there too. The buzz down deep, excitement and nerves combined. The wonder of what the future could hold for Freddie, as well as Maisie and me. The wonder of welcoming them into a potential new reality, in the city, in my arms.

I was getting carried away and I knew it, but I couldn’t stop the thoughts piling in. The needs piling in.

Maisie’s texts kept piling in with them. A ping in the morning wishing me a good day. A ping at lunchtime asking how my day was going, and mine firing right back asking after hers. A sporadic stream through the weekend, but always active, always touching base, sending pics of her day and my day at the offices right back at her. That constant tether to someone thinking about you, someone caring, someone wanting.

The late evenings were a whole other world altogether.

Our teenage nights of staring at stars and pondering switched to staring at each other on phone handsets with our hands down our pants. We were insatiable. Whispers and fantasies and held-back grunts and whimpers, and need
. So much fucking need.

My mouth was filthy, and her whimpers were hungry for more. Her climaxes were muted with hisses and curses and a son soundly asleep upstairs.

Fuck, how I pushed her for it. Teasing her limits. Promising so much dirtiness. Swearing she’d feel every single inch of filth I had to offer and drink it all right down with bright, wide eyes.

I barely noticed Naomi staring at me at increasingly regular intervals during the next week’s office hours at Hadley’s. I was virtually oblivious to her presence as she began turning up on site every morning and joining me in my scheduled client meetings.

It was the following Thursday afternoon, one full week into my Maisie Moore virtual hook up, that Naomi opted to stalk me across the main reception area on my way out of the office.

She caught me up and grabbed hold of my arm outside the entrance. I spun hard, on instinct, my eyes narrowing as they crashed into hers. She folded her arms, and her stare was loaded. Curious and loaded.

“What’s going on with you?” she asked. “You seem different. Really bloody different this week. I can’t work it out.”

“Different?” I pushed, and my smirk was there, bold as brass. “Happier, you mean?”

Her eyes were angry, but more than that. They had an edge. A twinge I hadn’t seen for quite some time.

  Insecurity.

She’d always been such an insecure little princess under her ice queen armour.

I guess that’s a sign that divorce really was for the best, when your ex looks angry as all sin at the very first sign of you being happy in life.

“You look weird, for you. Something like happy,” she said. “You’re normally so… serious. Has something changed? Sean said it too. That you seem easier. With business. With everything.”

I let my smirk turn into a laugh. “Sean, ever the wise man, commenting on my developments. I’m not easier with business, for your information. I’m easier with life. Business is as heavy as ever, believe me. If you think I’m going to bow down to your jackass attempts to muscle me out of the share percentages because I’m smiling a bit more these days, I’d rethink your logic. I’m really not.”

“Jesus Christ,” she hissed, then paused as one of the directors walked on past and nodded goodbye. “Always bringing it back to this fucking share shit. You know it makes sense that I buy you out. What is your problem with Sean and I working together and carrying this show on without you? We’re done, you and me. Our business together is done, and I’m the one working well with Sean’s sales side of the company. You know it makes sense.”

“I’m the one working well with every side of the company,” I snapped. “Just like always. You want a life with Sean underhanded-prick Delaney, and you want that life to include swanning around in the test industry together, then you’d best get building your own fucking company up from scratch. I’m not letting go of this one. I’m the one who gave a shit about its foundations.”

“Ours,” she hissed. “This business was ours. One of us has to leave it, why can’t that one of us be you?”

I leaned in close before responding, making sure my smirk was at full brilliance. “I have a whole mountain of decent answers for you on that score, but I don’t give two shits enough to waste my evening answering.”

She tipped her face up to mine, and I felt nothing for her picture perfect features. Not even a shiver.

“Something is going on with you,” she said. “You’re not normally heading off anywhere at end of play, especially when it involves arguing with me.”

“And you’re not usually keen to hang around on clients’ steps engaging me,” I replied. “Curiosity doesn’t suit you. Not when it involves my private affairs.”

I guess it was the ability to read someone after years living with them that had her weighing up my inner workings and coming up with solid insight.

“You’ve met someone,” she whispered, and her eyes pounded mine hard. “My God, you’ve met someone, haven’t you?”

“That really is none of your business,” I told her. “Goodnight, Naomi.”

I didn’t waste any time in heading off to the car park. I couldn’t hold back the genuine smile at the realisation that she was right. I really had met someone and really did have someone to get back to, even if it was only via a phone screen. Life really was changing.

Naomi’s voice called after me as I turned the corner, unwilling to let me go. Her heels came after my footsteps, tapping against the tarmac.

“Who is she?” she asked. “Where the hell did you meet her?!”

I didn’t respond, just kept on walking. I didn’t even look at her until she pressed herself against my car door as I made to open it.

“Seriously, Ollie,” she snapped. “Talk to me! Where the hell did you meet her? It’s not like you ever want to meet fucking anyone. It’s all work and work and no fucking play whatsoever, who’s changed that?”

“Does it really matter?” I snapped back. “Like you ever really gave two fucking shits whether I was working or fucking playing these past years.”

“Maybe I would have done if you’d given two fucking shits right back.”

I laughed out loud. “Go into denial all you like, we both know you were significantly more interested in what Sean was offering. Just as well I was working so much, wasn’t it?”

Her lips tightened shut, eyes burning as she stepped away from my car, and I heard it in my own voice. Finally. The easiness.

The way I was so comfortable with my laughter. The way I genuinely didn’t give two shits anymore about whatever she’d offered Sean Delaney, my closest business associate, behind my fucking back.

“It’s her, isn’t it?” she said. “It’s her all over again. It has to be her. Is that where you went those days? Back to Much Arlock, chasing down the slut from your past? It is, isn’t it? It’s Maisie Moore all over again…”

“Goodnight, Naomi,” I said, and opened my driver door. “Enjoy your evening.”

I felt a strange churn in my stomach as I checked out her expression in the rearview as I pulled away. A strange turn of liberation, and relief, and genuine truth as my heart pulsed in my chest.

  Because I knew it.

I knew it then beyond all else.

I’d always been in love with Maisie Moore. Right from the beginning, before I even knew how it felt to love someone with all my soul.

I’d always been in love with Maisie Moore, even when I was doing my best to give my all to the woman who had my ring on her finger and believing I was in love with her.

One thing that was for sure about always being in love with Maisie Moore – there was no way I was wasting another decade without her.

  Chapter Fifteen

  Maisie

The passing week had gone lightning-fast and snail-slow both at once. I couldn’t hold back my smile as Freddie danced along with some weird superhero cartoon on the TV through the doorway in the living room. I put the teacups down in front of Kate and Amy before picking up my own and joining them at the kitchen table.

As if on cue my phone handset buzzed between us and Ollie’s name flashed up with a fresh message. Both girls raised their eyebrows.

“Heating up even more quickly than we figured it would, then?” Kate asked, and her smile was every bit as full of mischief as Amy’s next to her.

“It’s definitely heating up,” I said, glancing back at the living room to make sure Freddie was well caught up in his cartoon.

I’d been keeping them in the loop on the essentials in both the supermarket checkout queues and on messenger, but holding back on so much. So many details. So many nerves and dreams and wishes dancing deep inside.

Somehow it felt like it would be tempting fate by bringing too much of the Oliver Kent magic into real life discussion. Like the magic was so fragile it was better keeping it inside. Holding on tight until I was sure this really was real, and he really was coming back to see me.

They leant in close across the table. />
“You’ve seen the full Kent package on video calls at regular opportunities, yes?” Amy asked. “I know you’ve been pulling naughty faces in the checkout and naughty smileys on chat, but spit it out in words please, so we can be certain.”

Kate laughed low. “We’ll have to disown you from our social circle if you haven’t clocked sight of all of him by now. It would be totally unacceptable in the name of female filthiness.”

My cheeks were on fire as I gave them a nod. “Yes. There have been a lot of video calls and no need for disownment, thank you.”

I couldn’t stop grinning as they held their hands up for a high five. I felt like we were back at high school as I raised my palm and slapped theirs right back.

Freddie kept dancing happily through the doorway, shooting me a grin as he bopped to a fresh beat. I let out a whoop and encouraged him on, heart swelling in pride at his confidence.

Amy waited until he was absorbed back in the screen before she cleared her throat and leaned in fresh.

“So, when do you think you’re going to introduce the boys? Think Freddie will like him?”

I took a sip of tea before I even contemplated answering, because the truth was I had no real idea. No idea when would be an acceptable time, or how best to be prepared and go about it. No idea what feelings Oliver would have, if any, about future footsteps and what he wanted from this dynamic here.

We’d skirted a lot. Heavy eyes, and lots of talk about how much we’d wanted each other, and talks about being close all over again. Chats into the night about old experiences, and new ones, and how much we wanted to explore together, but not the practicalities or the technicalities.

Not even so much about the finer details of him next showing up here and hooking up for a weekend.

“I’m not sure how we’re going to go about things yet,” I told them, and meant it. “It’s early days. We still have a lot to talk through.”

“And a lot of fun to be had as you talk through it,” Kate laughed. “Oh, Maisie, I’m so pleased for you. We both are. You totally deserve the happiness.”
