“Calm down Baby. I know you’re mad about us being here but this is the way it has to be. We don’t want to go behind y’all back, so we’re here to plot with y’all. We want to be right there standing beside y’all. A nigga ain’t shit in these streets without his ride or die bitch. You of all people know we wouldn’t be here if we had never held each other down.” Thug took a long pull from his cigar and blew out the smoke.

“I’m down with you being on my team. I can’t speak for these men in regards to their wives. I have to respect my niggas’ wishes. You guys can all discuss your decision in the comfort of your own homes.”

“With all due respect Bro, we might as well give in and let them all be a part of the team. They’re just going to do whatever the fuck they want to do no matter what we say anyway. Ain’t that right Barbie with your sneaky ass?” Obviously, there was some underlying shit going on between Barbie and Malik. This was business not personal; they needed to handle that shit at home. I just decided to put it all out there to let them know what was going on. I sat on Thug’s lap and began to tell everyone what the deal was.

“We’re all family in this room, so I’m comfortable with discussing my ordeal. If it wasn’t for the love we all have for one another I never would have made it. I was kidnapped by my ex, Nico. Now as you know, this nigga is supposed to be dead. So, I don’t know who the fuck we killed in that warehouse five years ago. During the time I was with him, he was working with someone who is close to us, but I have no idea who. After being in his home for a couple of months, I found I was pregnant. Three months ago, I gave birth to Ka’Jariana Kali Kenneth. Nico is a sadistic woman beater and sexual predator. He beat and raped me repeatedly. My daughter is with him and I’m so scared for her right now. I want him dead and I want my daughter back, but we also need to find out who he’s working with.”

“Let me ask you a question, do you have any idea who Monae Douglass is?” Thug asked.

“No. That name doesn’t ring a bell.”

“Monae is the bitch Nico had a baby with when he and Tahari were still in a relationship. They must be married now if she’s using his last name. I can’t believe this motherfucker is still alive. I just know he’s going to try to take Lil’ Nico from me.” We all stared at her in shock because of what she called him. Dro looked like he wanted to murder her ass. He knocked her hands off of his shoulders. I could tell she wanted to cry because she was biting her bottom lip.

“This is an address I got on this Monae bitch. The first step to getting closer to the bitch ass nigga Nico is through her. That’s y’all first assignment Boss Lady Inc.,” Thug said as he continued to smoke on his cigar.

“Hold on now, you run Thug Inc., Boss Lady Inc. is all me.” We all laughed because the shit was funny as hell.

“You right bae, that’s all you,” Thug said as he smacked me on the ass and pulled me onto his lap.

“Nigga you pussy whipped. I hope you know you fucked up giving her ass some power.”

“Shut up Malik!” I said as I muffed him upside the head.

“I’m so happy you’re back, Sis. This nigga been crying, drinking himself to death, playing that sad ass “Song Cry” by Jay-Z. Peaches was ready to have his ass committed.” Malik had the whole room laughing.

“Don’t laugh at my baby. He missed me, that’s all. We’re going to handle that Monae situation bae.” We started to tongue kiss and when we came up for air, we saw that everyone else was engaged in intimate kisses, minus Dro and Khia. I felt so sorry for her. Hurt was written all over her face. After discussing some more details in regards to the house I was being held at, we departed and headed over to Peaches’ house for my welcome home celebration.

  Chapter 11- Khia

  Lies and Deceit

I have no idea how I even let some shit like that slip out of my mouth. I felt bad right now because Dro looked more hurt than anything. He had every right to be. He has been nothing but a wonderful father to my son. For me to call him Lil’ Nico was disrespectful as fuck. This only added fuel to his anger. A couple of months ago, he lost custody of his kids to Keisha’s mother. She held him responsible for her daughter’s death. With his extensive criminal background, the courts immediately took them from him. The judge granted visitation twice a month and on all major holidays. So, that was a good thing but Dro was still unhappy. It was understandable because he loved his kids and so did I. Right about now, Khiandre was his life. The last thing I wanted was for him to think he would lose him too. As we drove to Peaches’ house, I tried to reach over and hold his hand but he yanked it away.

“Don’t fucking touch me right now!” The sound of his voice caused me to jump. Dro is so mild mannered but he’s like a wild animal when he is angry. He literally morphs into a beast.

“I’m sorry for calling Khiandre Lil’ Nico. I really have no explanation as to why I even said it. Please forgive me. The last thing I want is for us to fight. Right now, I need my husband.

“You’re so motherfucking right. If that nigga is still breathing than that means we aren’t legally married. We’re nothing.” My heart shattered into a million pieces hearing him say we’re nothing. This morning we made love and expressed our love for one another. I turned my head and stared out of the window. I was crying so bad that I had to pull my shirt up over my face to catch my tears. At the same time, I hated that I was crying and he didn’t care. This shit hurts more than any ass whooping Nico had ever given me. When we pulled up to Peaches’ house, Dro hopped out and slammed the door. I just sat in the passenger seat with my head leaning up against the window. I was crying so badly my tears were blinding my vision. I reached inside the glove compartment and that’s when I noticed a phone and a box of Magnums that had two missing. I bit the inside of my jaw as I powered the phone on.

“Shit!” I said as the lock screen appeared. I looked closer and I could see the fingerprint pattern on the screen, so I followed the pattern and it opened up. I looked at the call log and there were calls from the same number. Nothing looked out of the ordinary until I went to the text messages. All of the air left out of my lungs as a picture text popped up. I opened it and it was the picture of a woman and a small little girl. She looked to be about four months. The caption read “Hi Daddy. We Miss You.” My tears were now falling onto the screen. I started to look at past texts and it was obvious that Dro was in a relationship with this woman and the baby was his. I now knew how it felt to be betrayed. I was on the receiving end of something I had done to my best friend, Tahari. This was some karma for your ass right here. I leaned my head back and I began to cry harder than ever before. The entire time, I put all the things I had been through into perspective. A tap on the window brought me out of my thoughts. I looked up and it was Tahari. She opened the door and climbed into the driver’s seat

“Why are you crying Khia?” I handed Tahari the phone and she sat quietly as she looked through it.

“I was a fool to ever think that I would be happy after all the dirt that I’ve done to people. All of our years growing up, I was a grimy ass bitch. I had no problem with fucking somebody else’s man. Do you know how many families I broke up because of my friendly ass pussy? You were the best thing that ever happened to me. I betrayed you and tried to kill you. God is punishing me Ta-Baby. I can’t believe he has another family. I tried to be the best wife I could be. What am I supposed to do now?”

“Shhhh! Stop crying Khia. You have been the best wife ever. Stop blaming yourself for everything. God is not punishing you. Khia, you have to give yourself better credit than what you do. I forgive you for the things that happened between us. We’re closer than ever and that will never change. I don’t know why Dro has done this, but there has to be some type of explanation. Let’s go inside so you guys can talk.”

“I can’t even look at him right now. Before we made it here he told me since Nico wasn’t really dead that our marriage was nothing. We are nothing were his exact words. That shit was like a bullet to my heart. I l
ove Dro. How could he say something like that to me?” I wiped the tears from my eyes and laid my head on Tahari’s shoulder, just like old times.

“It’s okay. Don’t cry everything is going to be okay.” After a while of sitting in the car and talking, I decided to go home. I stopped by and picked up Khiandre on the way. I couldn’t help but stare at him as he slept in bed. I didn’t even want to leave his side. At this moment, he was the only thing that was keeping me together. I felt like he had been thrown away twice in his lifetime. Once by Nico when he disappeared, and now by Dro. Dro has always been so good to us. I wonder does she know he’s married. If she is anything like I used to be, she gives no fuck. My head was hurting me so badly I just wanted to sleep. Part of me wanted to sleep mainly because I was too afraid to look Dro in his face, out of fear that I would cry. I didn’t want to cry. I wanted to be strong and get down to the bottom of his infidelity. Just thinking of him loving somebody else, hurt my soul. Not to mention another woman had given birth to his child before I did. That was a crushing blow to my womanhood. Especially since there’s a possibility I might not be able to have children due to Keshauna stabbing me. Y’all just don’t understand, I’m so hurt right now.

I tried my best to go to sleep but I just couldn’t. I tried calling him but he wouldn’t answer. That pissed me off to the max. I jumped out of bed and went and grabbed my son. Before I knew it, I was at Peaches’ house. The party was in full swing as I walked inside. I sent Khiandre upstairs with rest of the kids and went to find this bitch ass nigga, Dro.

  “Where Dro at?”

“He out back shooting dice. You good Sis?” King asked as I brushed past his ass and out onto the patio.

“So you don’t see me calling you?”

“Move Khia. I’m taking these niggas’ money right now. If you make me lose I’m going to be pissed.”

“Do what the fuck you got to do Sis. This nigga just won five g’s from me and I want my shit back,” Malik said as he snatched the dice out of Dro hand.

“I don’t give a fuck about you winning nigga. When I call your black ass, you answer the motherfucking phone. I bet you answer for that bitch and y’all ugly ass baby.”

“Let me holler at your ass in private.” Dro yanked me hard and all my Boss Lady Bitches stood up.

“Oh shit now! Hey Quaa, Dro got next with them crazy bitches. Word of advice, block your face Bro.” I wanted to laugh so badly but I was not in a laughing mood.

“Fuck talking in private. We’re all a family here right? We’ve witnessed everybody else go through shit, so I’m good talking right here.

“Just go in the house, Khia, and talk to him. Everybody don’t need to hear this shit,” Thug said. We both walked into the house and got ready to head upstairs.

“If you motherfuckers break anything, I want my money tonight. Handle your shit Khia.”

“I promise not to break anything. In fact, we can just go home. I don’t want to ruin the party more than I already have.” Dro walked out the door and I went upstairs to get Khiandre. We made it over to our house in no time. I was glad my baby had fallen back to sleep. The last thing I wanted was for him to hear us arguing. I walked into the kitchen and Dro was whispering on the phone.

“Is that your bitch?” I asked as I tried to take the phone from him. He was holding on to it for dear life. I took a good look and it was the phone from the car. I just stopped trying to get it. It was obvious he was talking to the bitch. I was glad I never unpacked. I grabbed all me and my son’s shit and start packing it in the trunk of my car.

“Where the fuck you going Khia?”

“Does it matter Dro? It’s obvious that you don’t care. How could you do this to me? A baby Dro? You had a motherfucking baby on me!” I couldn’t help but start fighting him. I was so fucking angry and hurt. He was being so nonchalant and that was really making me mad.

“You need to keep your hands to yourself before I smack the shit out of you.”

“I’m going to smack your nasty dick ass right back.” Dro tackled me on the couch and pinned my hands behind my back.

“Watch your motherfucking mouth. Your ass ain’t going to like when I start disrespecting your hoe ass. I suggest you pipe the fuck down.” He let me go and stood over me. I sat up on the couch and rubbed my wrists. I looked down at my feet instead of looking at Dro. I could hear him calling me a hoe repeatedly in my head. I just wanted him to put it all out there because all this disrespect was out of character for him. Besides the time my arm got broke, Dro has never disrespected me. His phone started to ring and I looked up at him. The look in his eyes told me it was her. He answered as he walked away. I jumped up and went upstairs to my bedroom. I grabbed my gun and made sure I had bullets. This nigga was going to stop with the disrespect. I went right downstairs and found him still on the phone. All my senses went out of the window when I heard him tell her how much he loved their daughter. I raised the gun and fired without even thinking. I never saw my son run past me and towards Dro. I damn near died when I noticed the blood coming from his back as he lay on the floor.

“What the fuck did you do?” Dro collapsed to the floor and cradled Khiandre.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.” I was applying pressure to the wound trying to stop the blood, but it was pouring out rapidly.

“Get the fuck away from him with your stupid ass.” Dro lifted Khiandre up and ran out of the door. I started to panic as I saw my baby’s eyes roll in the back of his head.

“I’m sorry baby. Please wake up for Mommy,” I whispered in his ear as I placed kisses on his forehead. He was no longer moving and I started to scream

“Shut the fuck up Khia! I need to get him to the hospital. I can’t believe your stupid ass did this shit.” We pulled into the hospital and Dro jumped out and ran into the hospital’s entrance. I was in such a trance as I rushed behind him, only to bump into Nico walking out with his shoulder bandaged and walking with a slight limp. My heart started beating rapidly and I felt like I was about to pass out

“Well if it ain’t Mrs. Douglass. Where the fuck is my son?” he growled as he grabbed me by my collar.

“Get your hands off of me Nicario. Where the fuck is Tahari’s baby you sick, twisted motherfucker?”

“I don’t know where the fuck her or that baby at. The last time I saw her ass she had gotten hit by a car. I got the fuck out of dodge. Did she tell you how good this dick was?” Before I could go clean in on his ass, I looked up just in time to see a fist fly pass my face.

“Bitch ass nigga. You want to go around kidnapping my wife and my daughter. You forgot who the fuck I am? Thug was beating Nico’s ass to a pulp. Hospital security came and broke up the fight. Thug looked like a rabid animal foaming from the mouth.

“Please Nico! Give her back to me. I’ll do anything. Just please give me my daughter.” Tahari was begging and pleading.

“You don’t have to beg this nigga for shit because if he don’t tell me where the fuck my daughter at, I’m murking his ass right now.” Thug rushed Nico and started beating his ass again. This time Tahari jumped in and started swinging as well. The hospital security broke them up once again and was now radioing for back up.

“I don’t have her Tahari. That’s my word. When I saw you get hit by that car I got the fuck out of dodge. In case you forgot, your ass shot me. I’ve been here ever since. Check the hospital records. I know you hate me Tahari, but you know me. Khia knows me too. Look at me. You always told me my eyes tell my soul. I swear I don’t have K-Baby.” Tahari and I looked at each other. We both knew he was telling the truth. But if he didn’t have her, who did?

“Fuck that shit nigga. Had you not taken her this shit would not be happening right now!”

“Nigga, you need to be thanking me. If I had not gotten her out of that car, she wouldn’t be here. Show some appreciation.”

Thug got ready to charge him, but Dro came out with the doctors. I hate the look on their faces.

  “Noooo!”
I collapsed on the floor and Tahari sat on the floor with me.

“We’re doing everything we can to save Khiandre. We need blood from you and the father in order to save him. I discussed some things with your husband and he explained to me that he is not the biological father. Do you have any idea where the father is?” I hung my head low because this shit was not happening right now.

“I’m his biological father and I would be happy to give blood to my seed.”

“Well let’s get you down to the blood bank. Do you need any medical attention right now? Those bruises on your face looks pretty bad.”

“I’m cool Doc,” Nico said with a smirk on his evil ass face.

“Since this is a serious situation, only the mother and father can go to the blood bank.”

“Can my husband please come with me? He’s been a wonderful father to Khiandre.” I walked up to Dro and tried to hold his hand, but he pushed me away.

“You handle that. I’ll wait out here for you.” Dro brushed past me and just left me standing there looking stupid as hell.

“Go ahead, Khia, we’ll be right here.” Tahari hugged me tightly before I left, following far behind Nico. He was getting a kick out of this shit, talking to the doctor like he really knew my son. My son didn’t know shit about his ass. I don’t know how this shit is going to turn out but I know the shit wouldn’t be good at all.

  Chapter 12- Thug

  Following the Truth

“As long as your last name is Kenneth, don’t you ever in your motherfucking life beg a nigga for shit!” At this very moment, I wanted to slap the shit out of Tahari. I’m her husband and she knows I have every intention on killing this nigga and finding out where our daughter is.

“I wasn’t begging him Thug. Get your hand out of my face.” Tahari pushed past me, but I grabbed her ass. Ain’t no more walking away when we get into an argument.

“Right now is not the time for you to start acting like a brat. Have a seat, okay. Right now, the only thing that matters is saving Khiandre and finding out where our daughter is.”
