It seemed all too easy to be herself with Sean and not even notice how different he was from guys she was used to. The first notion that she had real feelings for him already began to form, and it scared and excited her. She’d never fallen in love.

Her eyes widened as patrons quickly began to flock in, the place coming alive with such ambience and personality, especially with Sean’s uncles going round and talking to everyone. Rachael was quick to notice she was the only black person there. She didn’t fit in there at all.

“Are you okay?” Sean asked, noticing her disquiet.

  “Yeah.”

“You don’t have to pretend to feel comfortable,” he said bluntly. Rachael looked up at him in surprise, and he added, “I brought you here for a special reason.”

  “And that is?”

“To show you a more personal side of my world and what makes me tick.”

Rachael smiled faintly at that. “I’ll be honest, I’ve never come across a guy like you.”

He grinned. Since he sat right opposite, she could admire his beauty. It made her nervous, how a guy like him would want to be with her. He was handsome, popular and rich. What was the catch?

“Is this a trick?” she asked with a suspicious frown.

  “What?”

“All this. I mean…you, me.” She bit her lower lip.

“You’re selling yourself short again.” He rubbed his chin. “You think we’re too different? That I’m out of your league?”

She stayed silent. She was all too aware that he was the hottest guy in their school that all the girls wanted. She knew some of her new friends had only become close because they knew Sean spent so much time with her.

  “Look at me.”

Rachael did as he said, even though she found it hard to keep eye contact with him for long.

“I’m the one who sought you out first. You’re more than what you think you are.”

She shifted her gaze and this time fought back a smile. Maybe…if she had to fall in love, then she’d rather make it as close to a fairy tale as possible by claiming her very own Prince Charming. And Rachael was never going to look back or second-guess herself, just like Sean had told her.

And for the next several months, it was everything like the fairy tale Rachael had only dreamed it would be. And yet lurking just beyond was a world of separation, heartbreak and leaving a beautiful dream behind forever.

It was just weeks to her eighteenth birthday—which made Rachael even happier that summer was here, bringing in warmer weather and longer days. She looked forward to all kinds of activities and places to experience, but she was surprised when Sean suggested they go to a music festival.

“We may be a small island,” joked Sean, “But jaysus, do we know how to have fun. You could party at a festival every single weekend of the summer if you wanted to.”

“Okay, let’s do it,” Rachael said with a bright smile. It wasn’t as hard as Rachael had expected to get her father’s permission, saying she was going with friends, which was true, as Sean’s best friend Connor and another girl, Tracy, were coming with them.

“Alright, you go to your festival and have fun for a few days, but when you get back, we have something important to discuss,” her father said mysteriously. Rachael was too excited about getting to enjoy her first music festival, with Sean no less, to really pay attention.

Sean planned for them to enjoy the festival and then spend time in a woodland getaway, where he got them a heritage cottage B&B. The festival was nestled in the wooded wonderland around a castle estate, which had been transformed to create a mysterious atmosphere. There were installations of all sorts in every corner, which filled the place with merriment and magic.

Coupled with the fantastic lineup on stage, it all afforded the perfect setting for a woodland boogie. The eclectic and alternative music was new to Rachael, but it made her feel so alive sharing it all with Sean and his friends. The heart of the festival was not just the enjoyment of music but the gathering of hearts, minds and moods. It was such an experience, and Rachael knew she’d never forget a moment of it.

The festival done with, Sean took Rachael to their B&B cottage where they were to spend time together before heading back home to Dublin.

Their cottage was beautiful, located in a spectacular country setting that overlooked the picturesque view of the Wicklow Mountains seen in the distance.

The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated, and on their arrival after the concert, the sun was rising so idyllically above the mountain peaks.

“The view’s absolutely gorgeous!” Rachael breathed.

“We can grab some snaps during our stay,” Sean said, coming up behind her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her against his body. His closeness set Rachael’s body on fire in an instant.

“I want to sleep with you.” His whisper almost made her jump a foot.

She turned to him with a gasp and pushed at him hard, but he didn’t budge.

“You don’t waste any time, I see.” Rachael felt a painful disappointment—she didn’t know Sean thought her cheap.

“I don’t want to shag, love. I really just want to sleep.”

“Um…why do I find this so hard to believe?”

“Can you just once lower that impenetrable ice wall you’ve built up? I need you to do that for me. This is going to be the most innocent, most beautiful night either of us will get. We shouldn’t rob each other of its fragility.”

“You damn sure have game,” Rachael said on a shaky laugh. “I bet you could sell scales to a fish.”

Was it more than a year ago when her emotions had first been awakened by this guy with electric blue eyes and the smoky Irish accent? Rachael hadn’t been used to much of the dialect before she came to Ireland, and now she couldn’t get enough of it, especially Sean’s.

Her body, heart and soul were functioning separately, and it was setting her off.

Yet, it felt refreshing. To feel her blood rushing from something that only a woman could truly feel. She wasn’t a little girl anymore.

Suddenly bold, Rachael turned and planted a quick kiss on the bridge of Sean’s nose. He smiled and held her head in place for a few moments, and then led her out of the room to check out more of the cottage.

Finally, they got to the bedroom, and Rachael plopped onto the bed, giving in to the effects of the long hours. Sean mirrored her actions as he dropped onto the bed beside her and faced her.

Seconds ticked by in the most comfortable silence as they lay side by side staring at each other. In a way, it was their own kind of mating, their love spell keeping them balanced in a feather-lined bubble of intimacy that was beyond physical.

When Sean pulled her to his chest, Rachael didn’t feel any kind of danger or worry. Only trust. The only fear she had was the lurking shadow of ever being forced to give any of this up.

It was just that instinct she had after so many times of having to abandon a life she’d come to know for another. Rachael would discover soon enough how much her agonizing hunch would be right…

  Chapter Three

Rachael yawned and saw a blink of sun through the curtains of the bedroom. She managed a stretch even with the vice-like grip Sean had on her waist. She turned to stare at him and the lock of auburn hair angelically fallen into his eyes. She moved it with a finger, but it fell back again. A dreamy sigh left her lips.

“Enjoying the view?” Sean opened his eyes. “Though it is a bit creepy, staring at someone who’s asleep.”

  “I wasn’t…”

“Don’t.” Sean pressed a thumb to her lips then planted a kiss on the smudged spot. “I’m a creeper too. I couldn’t stop leering at you while you slept, either. Trying to physically burn the image of your face into my mind.”

Rachael simply smiled, arms wrapping around his neck. They stayed like that for a while. Sean was right; it did feel innocent and beautiful.

Then her phone rang. Rachael let it ring until it stopped,
not wanting to move from Sean’s delicious warmth. Her arms wrapped even tighter around him.

The damned ringtone sounded again, and this time Rachael answered it. Dread filled her when she saw it was her dad. Was something wrong?

She straightened up to sit on the edge of the bed, her back turned to Sean as she listened to her father speak. Each word he said slowly burned its claws into her soul.

Oh no, not again. No, please. Her father’s voice sounded final, in that tone she knew couldn’t be argued with. A heavy acceptance crept through Rachael’s bones, and she hoped Sean couldn’t notice the slight shudder of fear she repressed. “Okay, Dad, I understand.”

Rachael got off the phone and looked at Sean. He was staring at her.

Rachael’s inner agony was at war with the lurch of heat she felt when she saw Sean’s look of hunger. She couldn’t bear to tell him, or let him suspect the truth…how in three days she’d have to leave Ireland. Her father had just called to tell her, saying she had to get back as planned so arrangements could be made. He’d wanted to save the news until she got back, but had changed his mind.

Rachael was forever glad he did. Because it made her realize how precious the remainder of her time with Sean in this moment really was.

“I want to kiss you,” he said clearly.

“Do it,” Rachael replied, gasping when he tugged her close to him, making her fall atop his body. Her warm hands were against his chest, and she looked into those cold blue eyes.

“I’m nothing but trouble, and if I kiss you, I won’t be able to stop,” Sean rasped.

  “Then don’t stop.”

Oh goodness. This was crazy, Rachael knew. But she couldn’t turn back now, not after what she knew.

Sean’s soft touch on her cool skin sent pure shock waves through her system. Incredibly, he knew just when and where to touch, and how to switch on any part of her body. He helped her peel off her camisole, and then next to go were her skimpy boy shorts. Sean wasted no time ridding himself of clothing, either. Getting naked with Sean was as natural as air.

Just as natural was the way Rachael bloomed as his hands caressed her all over. Never had Rachael felt so alive with flames. Flames full of passion, of love, and lust. Her aching center was dampening steadily as Sean moved his lips over her skin, much like one would slow dance with a lover on a ballroom floor.

And that was what Sean was—her lover. Her pleasure. Her ecstasy.

Her body was his to claim. Her every moan, created by him. Every droplet from her sex had his name on it. Everything was his, and she was more than willing to let him master her.

“You are my love,” he said huskily, his cheek gently grazing her stomach with his light stubble. Rachael hummed in pleasure with her eyes closed, letting his delicious accent thrill her pores.

“And so very beautiful,” Sean groaned, placing sweet, open-mouthed kisses down her stomach in a molten path straight to her small triangle of curls. The moment he ran his fingers through the tiny patch, her spine arched sharply in response. His touch was so electrifying to her virgin body.

As he teased her soft flesh, Rachael couldn’t look away from the erotic sight. That wavy auburn head, those beautifully hypnotic blue eyes rising up to catch hers…Rachael propped herself up on her elbows as their lust-filled eyes gazed at each other.

Her teeth clamped into her bottom lip, fighting off the million and one things she wanted to say. She didn’t want to disrupt this moment with words. Only with sounds of sexual oblivion, as without warning Sean’s long, smooth finger languidly plunged within her sweltering hub.

“Ahh!” Rachael gasped, her body igniting from inside out.

“It’s amazing how tight and warm you are, love,” Sean grunted thickly.

Rachael’s insides felt ready to explode from the carnal tension rapidly tightening within her depths. Sean made her so turned on with that one finger, sliding in as far as it could go before curling upwards. A loud gasp stuck in her throat just watching him watch her sex, his eyes fixated on the sight of his moistened finger stroking in and out of her.

The digit’s shallow thrusts inside her went faster and faster as he continued to make her wet. He told her soft, sexy things, dirty things, that he wanted to do to her. Rachael’s head flew back in absolute abandon, loving the friction of Sean’s finger inside her, filling her while his thick, raspy voice filled her mind with ecstasy.

“I just want to take you,” he sighed. “Right here, right now. Would you like that, love?”

Slowly, he slipped his finger out of her, and she moaned at being deprived of his invasion. Just that one finger had felt so long and thick inside her, stretching her tightness. Now she longed for more.

“Would you?” Sean asked once more, hovering his moist finger right over her clit.

“Yes,” Rachael whispered breathlessly. “I want—no, I need you to be inside me deeply. Please.”

She held his gorgeous blue gaze, and a low, masculine growl left his lips. “Fuck. Hearing you beg sounds so freaking sexy.”

His lips found its way up her body to her mouth. He captured it in a steamy kiss, and their lips had never moved so perfectly in sync, just as if they were made to kiss each other. Continuously kissing, persistently groping, steadily loving, they spiraled together. Rachael never wanted to lose this feeling of ascending higher and higher.

“I want you, baby.” Rachael bit hard on her bottom lip after that sultry confession left her lips.

Sean’s answer was a fierce growl, his hips moving against hers intimately, letting her feel his large erection. He applied the perfect amount of pressure on her throbbing clit with his hardness, and Rachael wished for no more delays, no more teasing.

“You’re incredible,” he rasped against her lips. Giving them one last smooch, he pulled away, leaving Rachael craving more.

Her eyes, awed and hungry, scanned his exquisite features shaping his gorgeous face, and then moved down his toned, well defined torso and arms. Lower south to his belly button she stared, where the “V” led straight to his manhood. It pointed straight at her, standing at attention. The broad tip was coated with his glittering droplets, and Rachael let out a helpless whimper as she visually took him in. His muscular thighs and swimmer’s legs were the fittest she’d ever seen. But she was done with just looking.

Rachael lifted her body on her hands and knees as she crawled to where he lay. Had he slowed them down to keep them both from combusting? Or did he simply want her to prove her readiness for him by making her own advances?

Rachael didn’t know how else to prove to him how hungry she was, hungry to lick her way down his magnificent body from that razor-sharp jawline to his happy trail that led to his juicy looking member.

She was turned on by the hair surrounding the base of his shaft, the shade much like the wavy locks on his head. She licked her lips, bringing another grunt from Sean’s lips. Her eyes snapped up.

  “Baby,” she whispered.

“Keep calling me that, and you’ll unleash my inner beast,” he warned with a half-growl.

Rachael only smiled, her face coming level with his groin. Her heart raced in her chest as she leaned in to kiss his springing stem. Just one nibble and she’d…

But Sean pulled her up and arched low to capture her lips in a fiery soul lock. Why did he make her stop? As if he read her questioning mind, he chuckled softly, confessing, “I’m too close to the edge to have you pleasure me that way and risk me spilling too soon.”

Rachael moaned in protest and desire, yet let Sean guide her onto his body as he rolled onto his back atop the pillows.

He cupped her face, and she stared down into those mesmerizing blues.

“I never wanted more…until I met you,” he said hoarsely.

Rachael’s heart raced some more, and she became scared of the unknown. How could she bear to leave when the time came? How could she ever walk away from this feeling?

Sean smiled, and it was beautiful. He swept away all her
fears. In a swift move, he turned her to lie on her back. Snaking his way lower, he came face to face with the juncture of her spread thighs. He lifted her legs and settled them over his shoulders, and without warning he went down on her.

His tongue traced her most sensitive region, and it was unexpected, magical.

Rachael had never felt pleasure so penetrating, almost illicit. It was foreign, new, and she wanted it to never stop. She couldn’t seem to control her screaming voice, her shuddering body. She just felt warmth and wetness and more ecstasy than she’d ever be able to quantify.

Then, it started. Kindling from within, spreading internally till it reached every part of her outer body. Rachael’s tears of burning bliss blurred her vision as her body felt ripped apart by her instantaneous orgasm.

In that single moment Sean replaced his tongue with something else—something immense, hard and thick, which had Rachael crying out as she threw her head back. Sean pierced her slick walls with a sure stroke of his raring rod. The way he felt inside her made her lose her shit. How could pleasure feel so rapturous and yet sweetly agonizing?

He began driving forward, matching his pace with that of a well-oiled piston. His girth stretched Rachael to the very limit, and she cried out even as she welcomed and met each of his thrusts.

This wasn’t a hot, nasty coupling—not this first time. This was true, unadulterated lovemaking, their bodies moving as if aware that neither could physically survive without the other at this moment.

Sean grabbed her legs and wrapped them around his waist, while her arms gripped his neck. She could feel his pace climbing as fast and high as his breath, and just sensing that he was close shot her instantly into ecstasy. Her climax triggered, Rachael was right there with him as he crashed over the edge, finally unleashing himself into her.

He collapsed on her chest for a moment, gasping for breath. Her breath tickled his ear, and she felt his full body shiver. Just before his crushing weight could become uncomfortable, he rolled off to lie next to her. Rachael followed, rolling half-across him as within an instant, they were both knocked out into the deepest, most resplendent sleep.
