“Gee, thanks, Sir. I so appreciate you sharing that intimate detail with all of my dear friends,” Nalani replied, blushing against Shane’s chest to hide her shyness.

Elijah grinned, recognizing that Nalani and Shane really were perfect for each other, even if he’d objected to their relationship in the beginning.

Tyler jumped in to talk about the sex furniture specifically. “I loved seeing the Sybian that Dave and I made getting so much use tonight. That and did you see the fucking hot scene on the wheel? Holy shit, that blowjob Braxton got from his sub while she was upside down on the wheel was fantastic. I about busted my nut just watching.”

Dave chuckled. “Best blowjob of the night!” The brothers high-fived each other before Dave added, “We’ve gotten so many orders tonight from members wanting their own sex furniture made that I may be able to even quit working my one night a week just so I have enough time to make the furniture.”

Chase had gone to sit next to his husband and wife and jumped in to point out, “Are we getting a cut on those sales? I’m pretty sure Black Light is acting as a sales agent for your side-hustle.”

Jaxson shook his head. “Screw us getting a commission. I’d rather take free furniture whenever you have new pieces to share with us.”

Elijah was pretty sure he heard a whispered, “Cheap bastard,” under Tyler’s breath just as his second in command broke out into laughter.

It was hard to miss that both Jaxson and Chase had been taking their phones out of their pockets pretty often, checking for messages. At first, Elijah wondered if the two men were texting messages to each other privately in the crowded room, but after watching Jaxson getting more and more annoyed each glance at his phone, Elijah knew it wasn’t Chase annoying his boss.

Before he could comment, Tyler asked a damn fine question. “So, while it’s fresh in our minds, what, if anything, should we do different or better for next year?”

The room full of employees all looked deep in thought and Elijah took it as a good sign that no one was coming up with a damn thing.

That means we did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself. Now, we’d just better win.

Still, he couldn’t let the moment pass. “I have two things we’ll do differently next year.”

All eyes pointed his direction, waiting.

“First, we will not start any construction projects within six months before the start of Valentine’s Day. The construction crew cut it way too close this year and from now on, no one but Geo handles remodeling jobs.”

Everyone was nodding their head in agreement as he said the second change. “We need to come up with some type of policy or rule on how to handle another situation like tonight where a couple is put together that absolutely should not be. Having Soren paired with Butterfly was a bad enough mix, but then to have them roll fisting? Thank God Tink was here and everyone was agreeable to having her join their scene. Can you imagine the damage he could have done to her if we’d made him follow-through on fisting that tiny wisp of a woman?”

Chase had a solution. “That’s easy. It’s up to you, Elijah, or Spencer if anything like that happens on the East Coast, to allow for a re-spin of the wheel without any penalty. Safety always comes first.”

Elijah was happy to hear several people parroting their ‘Safety First’ motto.

Emma had been pretty quiet, so it surprised him when she added, “I think watching Harley Quinn climbing up the wall and sitting on Soren’s face was one of my favorite scenes of the night. It was super unique and fun.”

Hearing Emma talking about how much fun she’d had was music to Elijah’s ears. While the members and judges certainly got to vote for their favorites, he was under no delusion. The trio of owners would have the final say in who did and didn’t win at Roulette—which scenes, which couples, and like it or not, which club—East or West.

Jaxson pressed the face of his phone with an angry punch just as Elijah tried to dig for more info.

“That’s great Emma. What was your favorite scene, Chase? Did you have other favorites, Emma?”

The two Cartwright-Davidson’s each started rattling off the scenes most memorable to them, getting more excited by the minute. That was until their husband and Dom cut them off.

“Stop!” Pinning Elijah with a stern glare, Jaxson pointed at him. “I know what you’re doing. Stop trying to pump us for who is going to win. You and Cook are both driving me fucking nuts with this pissing contest and I’ve about had it.”

Elijah tried to feign innocence, just as Jaxson looked at his phone again. Pushing to stand, he dropped Emma’s feet to the floor and walked over to the table Elijah was sitting at next to him.

Jaxson pushed a button on his phone just before handing it to Elijah.

“Cook’s been calling Chase and I every three minutes for the last half hour trying to pump us for information too. I’m not talking to him either, but here—you guys started this pissing contest. You talk to him.”

A distant “Hello? Jaxson, you there?” was coming from the phone now in his hand.

I don’t want to talk to this asshole.

Even as he thought it, he knew that was a lie.

“Hey Cook, so did you guys crash and burn tonight?” Elijah taunted.

“Keaton. What are you doing answering Jaxson’s phone? I don’t have anything to say to you.”

“Likewise. But if you’re looking for info on the West Coast event, you’re stuck with either me or waiting until Tuesday. Jaxson doesn’t want to talk to you.”

“Oh, but he’s there where you can cloud his judgement. This is bullshit.”

“I’ll tell you what’s bullshit. You’re the one that had a huge advantage tonight since no one was there to babysit you and stop you from buying the judges.”

“Enough!” Jaxson came and ripped his phone out of Elijah’s hand. Shouting into the phone, yet looking Elijah in the eyes, Jax laid down the law. “I’ve had enough of this. Tonight, all four of our clubs—Runway and Black Light on each coast—had spectacular nights. Our members and guests had the time of their life, many making memories they will cherish forever. Chase, Emma, and I are so proud of each and every one of our team members who helped to make this holiday a complete success. That is all I want us talking about between now and Tuesday afternoon.

“I’ll send you the Zoom link Spencer. Have anyone you want there at the club with you. The video conference will start at four o’clock your time, one o’clock here on the West Coast. Between now and then, you just let Chase, Emma, and me worry about figuring out the big winners, but I don’t want anyone to lose sight of the most important fact.” Jaxson paused, looking around the room of West Coast employees before adding, “We are all winners at what is most important. Now. It’s getting late. I need to take my husband and wife home so we can enjoy our child-free evening as we recreate some of our favorite scenes of the night.

“And you,” he added, turning his focus on the phone in his hand. “It’s late there, Spencer. Take your wife home. Spank her. Fuck her. Spoon her. In that order. Got it? Bye.”

After Jaxson’s impassioned speech, the room paused in silence for a long second before everyone jumped up and started talking at the same time, getting back to the work of cleaning up the club before they could head home to enjoy their own version of Jaxson’s raunchy instructions.

Elijah pushed down a pang of something close to loneliness. He’d be going home alone again tonight. It was his own choice. He could find a submissive to play with any night of the week that he wanted.

Unfortunately, playing with a different sub every week had gotten old. But he had too much work to finish to be thinking about emotional bullshit. If he was going to think about anything, it was what he’d plan to do with the extra week of vacation he planned on receiving when the West Coast won this year.

And no matter what bullshit Spencer said, he knew they’d put on a hell of a show.

  And the Winner Is…

Dropping onto the couch, Chase grinned as Jaxson and Emma groaned on their way back from the front door.

“God, I love your mom, Chase… but that woman never stops talking,” Emma complained.

“Come on, she’s not that bad,” he replied with a chuckle.

“Chase, she just spent three hours here when she’d promised to ‘swing by and drop off the kids’ which is never the truth.” Jaxson wrapped an arm around Emma’s waist and tugged her into his side, leaning down to press a kiss into her hair before he looked up at Chase. “This is why I suggested we have Kelsey pick up the twins.”

“Which would have broken my mom’s heart, and you know it,” Chase argued, but inside he knew that his mom could be a little overwhelming. It wasn’t her fault though, his entire family were social butterflies, and Jaxson was the complete opposite of that. A social… cocoon, or something like that.

“And I’d never want to break her heart, so we never say a word, do we?” Emma changed her voice at the end, moving away from Jaxson to step around the couch and lean down to where the kids were playing with their latest toys. “No, we don’t,” she cooed, grabbing a spot by Andrew. “We don’t want to hurt Mimi’s feelings, do we?”

“No!” Andrew replied, but since that was his favorite word at the moment, Chase wasn’t sure if he was actually answering or not. The good news is he was definitely cute enough to get away with it. Really, both of the twins would get away with murder if they had the urge. He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket a few times, but ignored it as Jaxson spoke up again.

“I never said I wanted to hurt your mom’s feelings, Chase. I just wanted more family time today. Just us.” Jaxson was as close to pouting as he could get while he found a spot on the floor. Reaching for Alicia, he pulled her into his lap, but she immediately threw a fit. Huffing and reaching for the brightly colored play table that had buttons and toys attached all over it, all of which made a ton of noise.

“Papa, nooooo,” Alicia whined, kicking her feet until he finally let her go back to the table.

“Man, I’m really not the favorite today, am I?” Jaxson asked, and Chase knew how he felt. Both of the twins wanted to be with Emma all the time, but they seemed to alternate ‘favorites’ between he and Jaxson on a whim. Chase had been on the receiving end of their ‘not you’ spells before, and it really sucked.

“We’re raising them to be strong and independent, right?” he teased, but when Jaxson didn’t crack a hint of a smile, he knew his dom needed some encouragement. The plush rug covering their spacious living room was great for the kids, since they couldn’t hurt themselves, but the fibers got on everything, and Chase had foolishly hoped he’d be able to save these pants — but screw it. Slipping off the couch, he crawled over to Jaxson and dropped down right next to him, just in time to feel his phone buzzing again.

“Daddy!” Alicia squealed, scooting over to him with a cube that also made too much noise, he tried to lean closer to Jaxson to tempt Alicia into giving him some attention too, but she just babbled something and looked him right in the eye. Lifting the cube, she pushed something on the side that produced a tinny tune as her grin widened. “Look!”

“That is so cool, Alicia! Why don’t you show Papa?” he suggested, tilting his head toward Jaxson, but Alicia reached for his hand, wrapping all her fingers around one of his to pull it forward.

“Push,” she commanded, shoving his finger against the same button, which made the tune play again while she erupted into giggles. “Music button! Push again!”

“Can Papa push it?” Chase asked, and Jaxson sighed.

“I don’t need your pity, Chase. She wants to play with you right now.” His dom was grumpy, but he wasn’t going to give up.

“Music!” Alicia demanded, wrinkling up her face with the threat of another tantrum. “Push button!”

“Yeah, Papa, push the button,” Chase said, grinning as he grabbed one of Jaxson’s fingers, exactly like Alicia had with him, pulling Jaxson forward until he could press the button with his dom’s hand. As soon as the tune played again, Alicia erupted into giggles, clapping her little hands.

Sighing, Jaxson leaned forward and rolled the cube toy in his hands, looking at the switches and buttons and spinning things all over it. “Can you show me what else it can do, sweetheart?”

“Okay.” Alicia huffed like she was exhausted with Jaxson, and Chase had to bite back his laugh. Unfortunately, Jaxson saw it.

“I’m going to remember that,” Jaxson whispered and a zing of electricity thrummed down Chase’s spine, tightening his balls and making his dick twitch in his pants.

“Yes, sir,” Chase answered softly, not bothering to hide the grin anymore. “But she takes after you, that’s the only reason you two butt heads.”

“No, she doesn’t,” Jaxson mumbled, still focused intently on Alicia as she showed him all the cool things the cube could do.

“Right, because you’ve heard me and Emma bark out commands like that on the regular?” Chase teased, and this time he got a slow, wicked grin out of his husband.

“Okay, maybe she takes after me a little.”

“Papa, music!” Alicia snapped, and Jaxson chuckled as he turned the cube and pressed the appropriate button.

“What are you two whispering about over there?” Emma asked, glancing up from where she and Andrew were making more noise at the table.

“Just how much Alicia takes after Jaxson,” Chase replied, and Emma laughed.

  “So true.”

“Since when did you two come to this consensus?” Jaxson asked, pressing the music button again when Alicia smacked his hand.

Chase just looked over at Emma and they both started laughing, not able to keep it in since Alicia’s dominant streak had been apparent since birth.

“Both of you are in for it tonight, just so you know.” Jaxson always kept his threats vague around the kids, but it didn’t matter to Chase’s libido. They’d had such an incredible night at Roulette and getting to go back home to a kid-free house had meant they could play without needing to be quiet. Hell, Chase’s ass was still sore from the wicked cane strikes and how hard Jaxson had fucked him but feeling the ache in his backside as he shifted on the carpet didn’t help.

If anything, getting to play that hard again had only made him hungrier for more of it… so if his dom was thinking the threats would calm him or Emma down, he had another thing coming.

“Impossible, both of you,” Jaxson mumbled, shaking his head as he leaned down to Alicia’s eye level. “I think Mommy and Daddy are forgetting just how much of their stubbornness you inherited, isn’t that right, sweetheart?”

“Button!” Alicia shouted, squealing with delight and bouncing in place when Jaxson obeyed and turned the music back on.

“Oh yeah,” Emma said, grinning. “She’s nothing like you. That dark hair, that iron will, and that complete expectation that she’ll be obeyed? Nothing like you at all, baby.”

“Want to add on to that, Chase?” Jaxson prompted, looking over at him, and Chase couldn’t help but bite his lip as arousal hummed in his veins. Watching Jaxson’s gaze drop to his mouth only made it worse, and Chase decided to go for broke.

“I think Emma left off how particular Alicia is about where we put her toys. Makes me think of when I borrowed the stapler off your desk—”

“You didn’t put it back right!” Jaxson snapped before immediately groaning, rubbing a hand over his face. “Someone is going to get their A-S-S B-E-A-T tonight. Actually, two someones.”

“In a couple of years that technique isn’t going to work anymore, baby,” Emma replied with a sweet smile as Andrew crawled off her lap and headed straight for Jaxson.

“I’ll cross that bridge when we get to it,” he quipped, holding his arms out for their son.

“Papa, up?” Andrew asked, and Jaxson scooped him into the
air, holding him above his head as Drew squealed with delight.

Chase kept the comment to himself about how much Drew was like him. Blond curls and always trying to please everyone, that was Chase to a T — but he and Emma had probably dug themselves a deep enough hole for the night.

His phone vibrated again and he reached back to pull it out of his pocket. “Who the he—” Chase stopped short when Emma looked up at him. “Heck,” he corrected. “Who the heck keeps messaging me?”

“Just ignore it,” Jaxson said, his voice a lot less commanding while he was grinning and lifting Drew into the air again and again.

Too curious to obey quite yet, Chase unlocked his phone and was able to watch the counter on his email climb another few digits as the phone buzzed again. “I’m getting a bunch of emails.”

“It’s probably all of the reports from the event that we asked for, like I said before, ignore it.”

This time the command was a lot clearer, so he swiped the ‘do not disturb’ feature on and tossed his phone onto the couch. “Yes, sir.”

“I’m pretty curious about what happened on the East Coast,” Emma said, taking over the button pushing duties as Alicia dumped the cube into her lap. “Maxine texted me last night and I saw the messages this morning. Sounds like they had some fun, and Spencer is already on the warpath.”

“I wish we could be in two places at once,” Chase answered. “It would have been twice as fun to see the scenes at both clubs. Then maybe we could have celebrated twice too?”

“That would be nice.” A pretty blush filled Emma’s cheeks as the ruckus from the cube toy filled the silence for a moment. “You know, there were so many role plays last night and that’s something we haven’t—”

“Emma,” Jaxson growled, cutting her off as he plopped Andrew onto his lap. “It’s family time. We are not talking about business right now, and we’re definitely not talking about that kind of business with the twins right here.”
