“You want to skip stones over our kids? Are you serious?”

He grinned at her. “It got me the woman I wanted, didn’t it?”

She laughed and shook her head. “Cooper, do you honestly think I couldn’t do any better than four skips? I had the perfect stone. The size, the shape, the weight—I don’t think I’ve ever held such a perfect stone in my hands. I probably could have gotten a dozen skips out of it if I’d wanted to.”

He cocked his head and narrowed his eyes. “Are you trying to tell me you threw the championship so I’d win?”

She stepped toward him again and wound her arms around his waist. Delaney and Gabriella had been right when they’d told her that one day she’d meet a man who was a keeper. She’d met hers, and she had no intention of ever letting him go.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Charlie lifted up on her toes and brushed her lips across his. “No, sweetheart, I threw it so I’d win.”

Cooper swung her up into his arms and carried her up onto the porch. When they got to the front door, he reached down and opened it. “Welcome home, cara mia.”

  The End

Thank you for reading Return to Glebe Point. After writing Blake and Justin’s stories in This Time Forever and Letters to Gabriella, it was a lot of fun for me to switch gears and write about a female Morrison.

If you enjoyed Charlie and Cooper’s story, I’d be so grateful if you could take a few minutes to leave a review on your favorite retailer site or blog for Return to Glebe Point. Reader reviews are extremely important to authors and even a brief sentence or two is appreciated.

As always, thank you for taking this journey with me. Until the next one, Bon voyage…

  Sincerely,

  Patricia Paris

To my earliest readers, Nette Boliver, Diana Campe, Cathy Carson, Kyrah Drasheff, and Nadine Schneider, you have my sincerest gratitude for taking the time to read my first drafts. Your thoughtful feedback was invaluable to me as I worked to finalize this story. You are all awesome!

To my editor, Sandra Ray, I am forever thankful for you. You are a gem, and the care you give every one of my books truly makes them shine.

To my publisher and book designer, BHC Press, thank you for believing in me, and for all of your guidance, support, and for turning my books into such beautiful works for my readers to enjoy. I am so fortunate to have you on my team!

To my family and friends, for not making me feel guilty when I had to seclude myself away for days, miss happy hours, and cancel plans—thank you for your patience and understanding.

And to my husband and best friend, John, whose encouragement and belief in me make me think I can move mountains—thank you, always.

Patricia Paris lives in the Chesapeake Bay area of Maryland with her husband John; a lazy, but lovable cat named Shiloh; and James Brown, aka JB, the baddest, but also, most lovable dog in town. When not writing, you’re likely to find the author exploring the Bay area’s small towns and waterways, which provide endless inspiration for her writing; battling the weeds that insist on invading her gardens; or, being an avid foodie, experimenting with a new recipe in her kitchen.

Patricia admits to being an unapologetic romantic, and she loves to give her readers that happily ever after, every time.
