Love Goes On Page 18

“I want to tell you something that’s been going on with Susie,” I stated.

  “What is it?” Anna urged.

“Susie’s boyfriend from Utah passed away in a car crash not too long ago.”

Anna sucked in air. “Oh, no! How come she never called me?”

“Don’t feel bad she didn’t call me either. She told me when she came for a visit recently and she also told me something that was very shocking, but I will let her tell you that.”

“How is she doing with his passing away?”

“She still misses him, but while she was visiting me she went out to dinner with Jake.”

“Jake, from the fair that was dating that nasty girl?” Anna grinned.

  “Uh, huh.”

“Ewe! I wouldn’t touch him after what she did behind his back.”

“Why? Jake didn’t do anything with her after that incident because his “best friends” told him what happened.”

“Whew! At least they told him. So they’re dating?”

“That’s where Susie comes into this. I can’t say anymore.”

“Well, since I’m so nosey and concerned I’m going to call Susie tonight after Rick and I celebrate his birthday.”

  “You better be good.”

“I’m always good.” She said mysteriously.

I giggled as I pulled to a stop in her driveway. I got out, hugged her good-bye then I headed home smiling at how funny my friends are and how they’ve always got my back, expect Lucy who betrayed me.

When I arrived home I excitedly hopped onto the couch to set-up my Ipod. After programing my Ipod to my computer and iTunes; I put money on my account then I began to purchase songs from the iTunes store.

After I used all the money on my account I started fiddling with my Ipod; trying to figure out how to work it. I picked up my cell phone and texted Kaden. But found that he had texted me.

“Sara, I noticed a lot of money came out of the account today,” Kaden stated.

“I helped Anna purchase gifts for Rick’s birthday that was today. She didn’t have any money. Are you mad at me for doing this?” I replied.

“Not at all, Sara. I was just making sure it was you who took the money out and not a thief.”

“I’m sorry to have frightened you, but I wasn’t planning on buying Anna’s boyfriend gifts.”

“Don’t worry about it, Sara. It’s not a big deal. I was just asking. Okay?”

“I wish you were home. I miss you!”

  “I miss you too, Baby.”

“You must not be busy to be texting me?”

“I’m in my parent’s library/meeting room right now. I’m not supposed to be on my phone; I’m supposed to be listening to my parents about our meeting that starts at eight.”

  “You’re a naughty boy!”

  “You know it! Ha-ha!”

“Ha-ha! What are you going to do if they catch you on your phone?”

“Chuck it and say, “What phone? Ha-ha!”

  “Ha-ha! You’re too comical.”

“Why are you using such big words? My brain is too small to keep up.”

“Ha-ha! You said it, not me.”

“Hey! You’re supposed to say, “It’s alright baby. The less brains you have the sexier you are. Ha-ha!”

  “Ha-ha! Kaden you are crazy!”

“But you got to love me!”

  “Oh, yes I do!”

“I miss you so much; Baby and I wish I could be there to kiss you!”

“I miss you too! I’m super bored without you, even though I did have a good day shopping with Anna.”

“That’s good you had a good time out. I don’t want you to become depressed without me there.”

“You don’t have to worry, Kaden I won’t become depressed I just miss you being with me.”

“With me being away is a good start as to how we will handle being apart at times.”

“You mean to see how I handle it. You seem to have no problem leaving me.”

“I might not show it, but I do. But I don’t pay much attention to my feelings because then I’ll run right back to you and I can’t do that.”

“I wish I could run to you right now.” I began to cry.

“Awe, Baby. I’ll be home soon. I have to go because my mom keeps glancing at me. I don’t want a butt whopping.”

I smiled. “Ha-ha! See you soon, Kaden. I love you.”

  “And I love you.”

I sat back sighing. I missed Kaden so much that it hurt my whole body.

I looked at the time and saw it was almost eight. I took my Ipod to my room, ate a sandwich for dinner, dressed in my comfy pajamas, hopped in bed under the covers, put my headphones on and laid in the dark listening to music as the moon shined in through the window. I fell asleep feeling happy and sad at the same time, happy because I had the whole bed to myself and sad because I wanted to cuddle with Kaden.

After school I texted Kaden before I called him to make sure I didn’t interrupt him.

“Can I call you?” I asked.

“Not right now, Baby. I will call you around four, Okay?” Kaden replied.

  “Okay.”

I glanced at the time and saw it was getting close to three. I took the pugs outside to play while I sat on the bench overlooking the lake, waiting for Kaden to call.

I wished Kaden were here right now. I looked over toward the cabins and two of the workers were starting to pack up for the day. I hoped the cabins stayed standing as fast as they were building them. But it looked like they had brought in more workers.

After a while my phone rang and I answered it without a second thought.

  “Hi, Kaden!” I said.

He laughed. “The phone didn’t even ring through the first ring.”

I giggled. “What can I say? I miss you.”

He chuckled. “You’ve only told me ten times.”

“Hey! It hasn’t been that many times.”

  “Close enough.”

“Well, anyway. What were you doing when I wanted to call you earlier?”

“Preparing for the meeting we didn’t finish.”

“You all must have had a lot to talk about.”

“My day of finishing this meeting has just begun and it’s only nine in the morning here in Rome.”

“Oh, wow! I guess I’ll let you go so you can finish sooner and get back to me sooner.”

He chuckled. “Don’t hang up just yet. It sounds like you’re outside.”

“I figured I’d sit outside and listen to the birds sing.”

“I wish I could do that. Instead I’m stuck inside wishing I could escape.”

“I wish you could escape to right back to Coopersville. Are you sure you can’t make a dummy of yourself to replace you at the meeting so you can come back home?”

He giggled. “Only if I could, Baby.”

“I think I’ll let you go now. The longer I talk to you the more I miss you.” I felt tears trickle down my cheeks.

  “Are you crying, Sara?”

“No.” I said through a sniffle.

“You are a very bad liar, Sara.”

I slightly giggled. “We seriously need to hang up before you come home to find your pillow soaked with my tears.”

He sighed. “I wish you wouldn’t go.”

“I need to. But before we say good-bye I want to discuss something with you when you get home.”

“Okay. Is this discussion going to be good or bad?”

“You’ll like what I have to say is all I’m telling you.”

“Okay. I can’t wait to see you, Baby! I love you.”

  “I love you too, Kaden.”

  Once we hung
up I sat on the bench smiling as I glared at the water. I knew what I had to tell Kaden would make his day. I just hope I’m making the right choice.

I was going to try and become more excited about my wedding. Kaden was and I needed to be too. I was marrying the man of my dreams. So I needed to become more excited for Kaden at least.

Saturday was finally here and I was extremely excited to see Kaden. But right now I was with my wedding planner. I couldn’t concentrate knowing Kaden was at home waiting on me.

“Do you want to do this another day?” Alyssa asked.

“Could we? My fiancé is at home. He just got back from Rome,” I responded jittery.

“Oh, is that why your mind isn’t here today?”

  “Yeah, I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay. I remember young love; I’m still experiencing it to this day.”

  “That’s very sweet!”

“We’ve accomplished a lot from twelve-thirty to the time now which is three-fifteen. So why don’t we stop for today and meet again next Saturday.”

“Okay, sounds great.” I said as I grabbed my purse and headed out. “Thank you so much!”

  “Not a problem. Bye.”

  “Bye.”

I stepped into my car. When I arrived home I ran inside and leaped into Kaden’s arms.

“I’ve missed you so damn much!” Kaden said.

“I’ve missed you too, Kaden!” I replied. We kissed and ended up making love. “I can’t believe how much is going on in my life right now!”

“Sounds like you need a day at the spa again.”

I giggled. “Anna needs one too.”

“Well, why don’t you two go this upcoming weekend?”

“That sounds like a great idea! I’ll call Anna and see if she can go.”

I called her and she said that she would love to go. She really needed it. After I hung up the phone I began cooking pasta for dinner. As we ate Kaden stared at me with love sicken eyes.

“Why are you staring at me like that?” I asked.

  “Like what?” Kaden quizzed.

“Like you’re going to burst into tears.”

“I’m just thinking about you and me.”

  “What about us?”

“Nothing you need to worry your pretty little brain with right now. What you do need to worry your pretty little brain with right now is to tell me what you had to discuses with me.”

“Well, you’ll be very pleased to know. I’ve decided to visit Rome!”

Kaden peered at me as if he was hearing a lie. “Are you serious?”

  I giggled. “I wouldn’t have told you if I weren’t.”

He jumped up, hugged and kissed me. “You won’t be disappointed.”

I smiled at him as I thought, I hope not.

  Fooled Around

Sunday flew by in the blink of an eye. Kaden and I didn’t do much, but enjoyed each other’s company all day and watched movies. My Ipad came Sunday. I’m not used to how it works yet. Kaden was very excited now because I want to take a trip to Rome. Getting married has made Kaden’s mood proceed highly.

My school sol’s were in the next week. I was going to the library this weekend to study. I would study at my house but the construction workers were drilling and hammering; it doesn’t help me study. I was overly excited about watching Riley for a few months this summer. I knew Kaden and I would have a blast watching Riley.

My Mom had perused college and was preceding her own business. I was very happy for my mom. I often thought about my dad and our relationship we had. I was glad my dad and I were getting along now. I didn’t like how we fought before and how he was so mean to me.

We were still not as close as we could be. But we were getting there. My mom and I still had a great mother, daughter relationship. My wedding plans were proceeding well. I met with Alyssa today because something came up for Saturday.

“In la-la land, Huh?” Kaden asked while sitting down next to me on the couch.

“Well, yes, it’s my relaxing place,” I responded.

He chuckled. “I think I’ll start doing that.”

“Hold on! You are not invading my la-la land!” I joked.

“Fine! I’ll make up my own land.”

I giggled. “What would you call it?”

He smiled at me. “Kaden’s dream land.”

I giggled. “What are you doing while I am at the library?”

  “Join you at the library.”

  “You’re not allowed.”

“Why not? I won’t bother you.”

“Just you looking at me would make me lose concentration.”

“Well, you’re there to study, not to look at me.”

“Kaden, please don’t come I really need to pass these sol’s.”

“You take jokes to heart too much.”

I shot him a dirty stare. “Don’t look at me like that. You’re turning me on!” I slightly giggled as I smacked him with my notebook. He chuckled as he saw me off. “Be safe and be sure to call me if you need me!” He yelled.

I peered at him before I hopped into my car. “I’m a big girl.” I grinned.

When I arrived at the library I climbed out of my car and gathered my books. I glanced up toward the library to see Trevor and Lucy sitting on the steps leading into the library.

“Just the icing on the cake that I needed,” I huffed under my breath.

I slammed my car door and headed up the steps into the library. I didn’t glance at Lucy and Trevor, but I could hear them whispering about me. I ignored them and went into the library, finding a seat in the back where I was alone so I could concentrate.

For what seemed like twenty minutes a guy sat at the table across from me. Feeling like I knew it was Trevor; I didn’t look up.

“Can I help you?” I asked Trevor while looking at my book.

“I just wanted to see how you’ve been doing,” Trevor gestured with an attitude.

“What’s it to you?” I asked smartly.

He rose up and sat in the chair next to me. I felt tingles crawl over my body. This time I really didn’t want to look at him.

“Why are you sitting next to me? Don’t you have a sluty girlfriend?” I asked meanly.

He touched my thigh and I froze not knowing what to do. He edged his hand up to my inner thigh. I was still frozen, not able to move. Since I was wearing a skirt he had easy access. No matter how much I wanted to punch him in his face I couldn’t get myself to move.

He leaned closer to me and whispered in my ear. “What do you say we get out of here and make a little trip to my bedroom?” He started kissing my neck and my ear. Then he slowly glided his other hand underneath my shirt, up my stomach just inches before reaching my breast. He left his hand there as he continued to kiss my neck.

I wanted to hit him! I wanted to kick him where it hurt! But I couldn’t move! I was beginning to get angry with myself; I needed to figure out how to get this dirty son-of-a-bitch off of me!

As he edged his hand up my leg closer to my private area and his other to my breast I finally got the courage and punched the bastered in the face making him fall backwards onto the floor.

“Keep your filthy hands off me!” I screamed.

Trevor jumped to his feet catching me by my arm as I grabbed my belongings trying to make a break for it while I still had the chance.

“Wait a minute, Bitch! You owe me! You punched me and now you owe me!” Trevor said as blood ran from his nose.

I began to fear he was going to do something even worse than what he’d just done.

“Trevor, let me go! Just let me go.” I pleaded.

He looked at me with piercing eyes. “This isn’t over! I will have you in my bed, you w
ill like it and you will give me what I want willingly and if not. Let’s just say you’ll regret it even worse than punching me.”

When he let my arm go I hauled ass out of the library, skipping every couple steps, jumped into my car and sped out of there, wheels screeching like a vicious dog was at my heels. As I sped home I began to cry. When I got home I screeched to a halt and ran into the house right into Kaden’s arms.

He laughed at first thinking I was happy to see him until I lifted my face up and he saw I was crying.

“Sara, Baby. What’s wrong?” Kaden asked as he searched my eyes.

“Trevor touched me!” I cried through tears.

“Sara, calm down. I can’t understand you,” Kaden pleaded.

After I took a couple deep breaths I looked into Kaden’s eyes fearing I would lose him forever!

“Trevor touched me inappropriately,” I whispered.

“He touched you! Where?” Kaden demanded.

“He touched my inner thigh, my breast and he kissed my neck and ear. But I punched him when he began to move closer to my private area. I was just a little late on it because he managed to touch my breast.”

“Why didn’t you stop him sooner?” Kaden groaned.

“I tried! I couldn’t get myself to move. I’m so sorry, Kaden. Please don’t be mad at me!” I pleaded as I cried.

Kaden’s face softened as he pulled me into a hug. “I’ll take care of this. Don’t you worry?”

Kaden dialed the police. He told them what happened and they soon arrived at our home. I explained what happened to the officer. Then he went to the library to check the tape. Once the officer returned he explained that what he inclined from the tape was that I looked very frightened. But since I didn’t do anything until the end of the assault to incline that I didn’t want Trevor to touch me they couldn’t prosecute him for that.

However, they can prosecute Trevor for touching my breast because I punched him. They were going to put him in jail for one night and have him on probation. Kaden seemed to think that this was not enough punishment so he had Trevor served with papers where he couldn’t come fifty feet near me. After the police officer left Kaden ran me a bath with bubbles. He sat on the side of the tub.

“I’m furious that Trevor won’t get into more trouble,” Kaden stated.
