He snorted, and scrunched up half his peaceful face, then fell back into sleep. Rieko shook him lightly. “Come on, Stuart. Wake up."

He snorted louder this time, and rolled over onto his side away from her. He muttered something incoherent back at her.

"You're not going to have enough time to take a shower and grab breakfast,” she said.

"Who's fault is that,” he mumbled. He rolled onto his back and opened sleepy blue eyes up at her. Rieko smiled down at him. “Coulda woken me up earlier.” He lightly scratched his chest with one hand.

"You looked so peaceful.” When the alarm first went off, she had tried waking him up, but after all his protest, she'd just let him sleep. He really had looked peaceful and content sleeping there in her bed.

He smiled up at her, his blue eyes still not totally alert. He reached out a hand and pulled her closer to him. One arm wrapped tightly around her waist. A look of desire rose in his groggy eyes and a coy smile spread across his face.

"Still enough time for a quick morning shag.” He leaned up to place his head between her breasts.

"Not if you want a shower and breakfast."

He started planting little kisses on the bare skin of her neck. “Who needs breakfast anyway."

It would be so easy to just let herself get lost in his touch, forget about her duty, herself, the rest of the universe. Then her stomach gave a moaning groan of protest. “I'm starving, Stuart.” She could not make it through the morning without eating breakfast.

Stuart leaned back to smile at her, before moving on to the other side of her neck. “Well then,” he said, “a quick shag. I go take a shower after, and you have time for breakfast."

Stuart lightly sucked on her earlobe. It did sound like a good plan. She glanced over at her wall clock. “I have a morning meeting in fifteen minutes, though,” she said.

Stuart stopped his actions and leaned back. “Cancel it."

"I didn't make it. The captain did.” Her frown held as much regret as his fallen face.

"You go take a shower,” she said. “I'll finish getting ready and meet you in the mess when you're done."

Stuart softly scowled. “Not nearly as fun a plan."

Rieko smiled at him as she removed herself from his embrace to return to the bathroom. She reached for her hairbrush to put her hair up for the day.

"I like a good morning shag,” Stuart said. He took in a deep breath likely to finish waking up. Sheets rustled and finally the light sound of footfalls echoed.

Rieko moved to the bathroom door, brush still in her hand. She caught sight of a very nude and erect Stuart stretching in the middle of her floor. He noticed her watching and where her eyes had fallen. Maybe morning nookie wasn't such a bad idea.

"Shower and breakfast, I believe is the plan.” He smirked because the plan had been hers. He put on his boxers, not upset with her plan.

Rieko continued to brush her hair as she watched Stuart gather up his clothes and put them on. He walked over to where she stood.

"I love you, Rieko,” he told her yet again.

How many times had she heard that from him since the night before last?

Rieko reached out and hugged him. “I love you too, Stuart,” she replied. “You know you don't need to keep saying it."

He wrapped his arms around her. “I'm never going to get tired of saying it.” He brought his mouth to hers for a deep passionate kiss.

Rieko knew she was never going to get tired of hearing it from him.

Stuart broke away, a broad smile on his face that fell into a smirk.

"Tomorrow I'm setting the alarm so there's enough spare time,” he said.

It took her a moment to realize he promised tomorrow morning they would be in the same places they were right now. Last night he had promised her forever, and somehow she knew that his word was almost as strong as his love. She smiled brightly up at him. The thought ran through her head that she just might have this man as hers for the rest of her life.

"See you at breakfast, luv.” He broke away from their embrace.

Forever, Rieko thought, he would be there forever.
