Until Forever Page 12

Deon looked warily at Mike. “What kind of mission?”

“One that involves a hammer and a lot of backbreaking work.” Mike and Russell would need all the help they could get if they were going to get Tilted up and running again. They could also use the help renovating the motel. “It’s gonna take months, and it pays well.”

  Deon grinned. “Count me in.”

  * * * *

“This looks amazing,” Kester said as he slowly spun in a circle. “I knew it would.” Russell was a god when it came to working with his hands. There wasn’t one thing Kester didn’t like about the remodeling. It was as if he’d walked into a whole other motel. The lobby looked nothing like it had before.

Mike curled his arm around Kester’s shoulders. “I have to admit, you picked the right plan.”

The lobby of Maple Inn was elegant, modern, and didn’t smell like old cheese. The self-shading windows allowed for a gorgeous view, and the office behind the counter was a dream.

Russell, with the help of some friends, had added six new rooms and updated the existing ones. Even the parking lot had been ripped up and new asphalt had been laid down.

Mike wiggled his brows. “How about we test out your office?”

Kester blushed. “It’s too warm to use the fireplace.”

“I was thinking more along the lines of breaking in that new couch.” He grabbed Kester’s hand and led him to the office. Kester’s feet couldn’t move fast enough.

“Hey, Mandy,” Mike said to the young woman he’d hired. “We’re taking a break.”

Mandy rolled her eyes. “Just don’t be too loud. I’m studying for my finals.”

Mandy was definitely a blessing. Not only was she a gem to have around, she’d whipped Theo into shape. The two were dating hot and heavy, and Mandy insisted Theo get a real job.

He was now the first official Uber driver in Maple Grove, and business was booming for him.

“Don’t forget we have to go to Sunday dinner at my mom’s,” Kester said as they closed the office door. “She wanted me to remind you.”

Kester was thankful his mother had moved to town. She had the cutest little bungalow, which Russell had helped her fix up.

“Like I would forget.” Mike pinned Kester against the door and kissed him until Kester was breathless.

“I’m driving,” Kester said between light kisses and gropes. He still couldn’t believe Mike had bought him a red Jeep after the mechanic had said the Bronco was officially dead. Kester drove his new Jeep everywhere, loving the fact that he could remove the top now that it was late spring and the days were heating up.

Mike pulled Kester from the door and led him to the suede couch. He swayed back and forth while slipping his arms around his mate.

  Kester grinned. “There’s no music.”

“It’s in my head.” Mike bent his head and captured Kester’s lips.

The surge of love he felt toward Mike made Kester feel light on his feet. He hoped this crazy-in-love feeling never ended. Mike had become his entire world.

“I love you.” Mike kissed along Kester’s jaw. “Yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever.”

Kester chuckled. “That’s a lot of love.”

“Never enough when it comes to you.” Mike pulled Kester’s shirt over his head and tossed it onto the arm of the couch. “And I’m about to show you just what you mean to me.”

Kester moaned as Mike finished undressing him and led him to the couch. Kester dropped onto the cushion when Mike shoved him down. He arched a brow as Mike smiled down at him. “We going rough today?”

A bark of laughter escaped Mike. “Hardly.”

This his mate’s eyes dropped to the scar on Kester’s chest. The bullet had missed his heart by inches. If Gugino had hesitated one more second when he shot Kester, he would’ve died.

And that scenario still haunted Mike. Sometimes he woke in the middle of the night in a cold sweat then pulled Kester so close that Kester felt as if he couldn’t breathe.

He tapped Mike’s thigh. “Hey, not today. Only good thoughts.”

Mike nodded before he lowered himself to his knees. He laid his head on Kester’s lap, and Kester ran his hand through Mike’s hair. He gave his mate a moment then tapped his temple.

Mike looked up at him with a charming smile. “Right, get on with it.”

“Well…” Kester let out a long sigh. “I wouldn’t have put it that way, but I’m glad you get the point.” He snickered when Mike nipped his thigh.

Then Kester moaned as Mike kissed his way up and swallowed his cock. Kester fell back into the cushions, spreading his legs as he whimpered. Mike took him down to the root then backed up, suckling the head of Kester’s cock.

“Oh my god I love this couch,” Kester groaned.

Mike chuckled around Kester’s shaft, the vibration working its way up Kester’s body. He wasn’t sure how much longer he could hold out. It had been like that with Mike from day one. Whenever they were close, all Kester thought about was sex. He’d also discovered what a quick trigger he had, too.

Not Mike, though. The guy could last for hours. His stamina was exhilarating but, at times, exhausting. Right now Kester wanted fast and dirty. They could save the slow and sweet for later.

“That’s enough.” Kester gripped Mike’s hair. “I need to get fucked.”

Mike eased back onto his haunches. “It’s like that?”

“You’re still talking instead of stripping?” Kester jumped up and pulled Mike to his feet. “We need to get you naked.”

Mike grinned as he helped Kester remove his clothing. Kester went to the desk drawer and pulled out a bottle of lube he’d stashed there in hopes of office sex.

Like that hadn’t been a given.

He tossed the tube to Mike, who caught it midair, and grinned. “How about we break this desk in, instead?”

Mike sauntered to him. “We can christen whatever you want, sweetheart.”

Kester bent over, pressing his arms against the polished wood, jutting his ass out. “We’ll start with the desk and work our way over to the couch.”

“You have the best plans,” Mike said as he squirted some lube onto his fingers.

“That I do.” Kester’s eyes rolled to the back of his head as Mike inserted two fingers. The guy wasn’t playing around. He worked to stretch Kester’s hole before he pulled his fingers free and grabbed Kester’s hips.

“Let’s see how desk sex works.”

Mike lined his cock up to Kester’s lubed hole and inched his way in as Kester’s arms slid forward. Maybe this hadn’t been a good plan after all. The edge of the desk cut into Kester’s stomach, but his discomfort was soon forgotten when Mike started thrusting inside him.

“Oh hell.” Kester laid his cheek on the polished wood. “Next time we use a pillow as a buffer.”

“Got a better idea.” Mike pulled all the way out and then lifted Kester, placing him on his back. “How’s this?”

“Perfect.” Kester curled his legs around Mike’s powerful waist as his mate thrust back inside him. “So damn perfect,” Kester wailed.

They should’ve invested in a soundproof door. No doubt Mandy was getting an earful, and it wouldn’t be the last time she heard naughty things going on behind the office door.

  “Love you forever,” Mike groaned.

“Love you, too.” Kester arched his back, struggling to find something for purchase. His body kept sliding up and down the desk as Mike pounded into him.

His mate bent over, sinking his canines into Kester’s shoulder, making him shout at the top of his lungs as he came. Mandy was definitely gonna ask for a raise.

Moments later, Mike’s cock throbbed deep in Kester’s ass as he pulled his canines free and licked the wound. His mate kissed him silly before he eased out of Kester’s body and curled his arms around him.

“I’ll give you a minute to rest before we try out the couch.” Mike nipped his ear.

Going on the lam had been the
best thing to ever happen to Kester. He might not have known that at the time, but a few wrong turns, a snowstorm, and a raggedy Bronco had led him to the love of his life.

He smiled at Mike. “You got yourself a deal.”
