He glanced between the men’s room and the ladies’.

“Ah, the ladies’ room. The men’s room is always gross.” She shuddered.

“Ladies room it is.” He opened the door and tugged her inside.

The door slammed and he quickly locked it and pressed her against it, looking down into her eyes.

She purred and reached down and grabbed his ass.

“I can’t believe how lucky I am to have you as my mate. I don’t think that feeling will ever grow old.” The words slipped out of his heart and past his lips. She was part of him, now and forever.

Her eyes softened. She touched his cheek and ran her finger down his scar.

“I love you.” Her voice, soft and sincere.

His chest expanded with emotion and he pressed his forehead to hers.

“I love you more,” he whispered.

“Oh, I don’t know about that.” She arched and pressed her lips to his. He growled and captured her bottom lip in his mouth and sucked.

  She moaned.

He broke the kiss. “I’m about to prove it.” He grinned and tugged her skirt up past her hips. “Fuck. You don’t have any panties on.” His body hardened with lust. The need to be inside her was so desperate it hurt.

“And that surprises you?” She smirked.

“Not really.” He slid down her body and cupped her tight ass in his hands. He looked up, grinned and then buried his face between her legs.

“Oh god.” She moaned. Her head fell back against the door.

He growled as his tongue flicked over her sweet clit, her sweet nectar exploding in his mouth.

She gasped and grabbed his head, holding him against her. He grinned loving how she tasted and the sexy noises she made in the back of her throat.

He lifted her leg and draped it over his shoulder for better access to the sweet treasure between her legs. Her pants and moans echoed off the bathroom walls. He felt her body begin to relax under his tongue. She dug her fingers into his hair and looked down at him.

Their gazes locked, he continued licking and sucking her sensitive flesh. Emotions and lust mixed in the small space, blocking out the rest of the world. Nothing else mattered. Just them, right at that moment.

He held her gaze, tightened his hold and sucked her clit into his mouth.

“Damon!” she screamed and her entire body tensed.

He continued to use his mouth on her as her body shook with pleasure and he tightened his hold on her hips as her orgasm washed over her.

When she went limp, he slid up her body.

Her glazed-over eyes met his and she grabbed his neck. She stuck out her wicked tongue and licked her wetness off his lips.

  His restraint shattered.

He reached for his zipper, but she was faster. Her hand cupped his erection through his denim and then her fingers were there, fumbling with his button and then zipper. She reached inside his pants and pulled his dick out, her fingers tightening around his straining hard flesh.

“Fuck, Ava. I’m not going to last.” He thrust into her palm and cupped his hand around her neck. He pulled her into a kiss, sucking her sweet tongue into his mouth and kissing her deep.

She broke the kiss and stared at him. “Then you better get those pants down.”

He shoved his pants down. Grabbing her hips, he picked her up and pressed her back against the bathroom door. She wrapped her long legs around his waist and guided his cock into her wet entrance.

  He thrust deep.

He buried his face in her neck and his cock into her body in one hard thrust.

“Ava,” he growled, the pleasure too intense to be real. Every time he was inside her, it was like nothing he’d ever experienced.

“Harder.” She dug her sharp fingernails into his back and tightened her legs around his waist.

He moved, thrusting inside her hot wet body in a frenzied rhythm. Her breath was hot against his ear and her moans sent shivers down his back and straight to his toes.

He increased his speed, thrusting harder and faster, and she clung to him like a vine. He pulled back, looked into her beautiful eyes, and covered her mouth with his. Their tongues swirled in a wicked display of lust, savoring and worshiping each other.

“Damon.” Her pleasure once again washed over her in a heated display of shivers against his body.

That was all he could take.

He thrust faster, his balls tightening with his own impending orgasm. Pleasure, swift and thick, claimed him as he spilled his seed inside her willing body. She cradled his head to her chest as they both floated back down to earth where they were once again met with reality.

  “Damn,” he breathed out.

“Yeah, that was impressive.” Her breaths came in short pants.

Her legs slipped from around his waist to find her footing on the floor. He held her close and kissed her long and deep and with all the love that had just exploded from their bodies.

“I love you,” he whispered against her hair.

“I love you, my male.” She giggled and stared into his eyes. “And you know what else?”

“What?” He trailed his finger down her cheek.

  “I’m freaking starving now.”

“Good because our steaks should be ready.” He grinned and pulled up his pants while she straightened her dress.

After righting their clothes, he opened the door. He came face to face with two middle- aged women. They stood there with their mouths gaping open and staring between him and Ava.

“Hope you ladies get a gift from your lover like I just did.” Ava smirked and made her way back to the table.

He didn’t bother hiding his smile as he followed after her, once again thanking fate for putting Ava in his life.

  CHAPTER SIX

Robert tried to count to ten to get his anger under control. He needed to get the old woman away from the public eye so he could knock her out and steal her car.

The best way to get her to shut up was just to go along with whatever she said.

“Okay. If that’s what you want to do, then that’s what we’ll do. A movie it is.” He smiled encouragingly and held his elbow out, waiting for her to place her arm on him.

“Good. There’s a romantic comedy playing tonight.” She smiled. “I heard my friend talking about it when she was at my house yesterday.”

She placed her arm on his elbow and let him lead her toward the car. The parking lot was full and they were the only ones outside. A lone security light illuminated a small area of the parking lot. She tightened her hand on him when they stepped away from the light and into the darkness so she wouldn’t stumble in the dark.

“Should I follow you to the movies?” She looked up at him, but he knew the dark hid the rage on his face. He fisted his hand, ready to strike her.

  ***

  “Granny?”

She jumped and turned at the sound of Lucien’s voice in the dark.

“Lucien, what are you doing here?” She snatched her hand away from Robert and clasped her hands together. “I thought you were supposed to be with Catty?”

“She’s under the awning at the pawn shop.” He nodded in the direction of the store. “When we finished eating it was raining its butt off. So we are trying to wait it out. No girl likes to ride on a Harley in the rain. And now we’ll probably be late for the movie.” He stuck his hands in his pockets and narrowed his gaze on Robert.

“The movies? Well, we are just heading in that direction. We can give you a ride.” She smiled.

  “We can?” Walter groused.

“We haven’t met. I’m Lucien.” Lucien stuck his hand out and Walter reluctantly took it.

She couldn’t blame the guy. From standing in the rain and not getting to eat dinner, he was probably getting grouchy. Maybe she’d buy him a pickle at the movies to cheer him up. She knew from experience that food always made a man feel better.

Food and sex. But she didn’t know him well enough to be offering him sex.

“Nice to meet you,” Walter said.

“Normally I wouldn’t take you up on the offer and put you out”—Lucien’s gaze drifted to Catty and his expression softened—“but I don’t like to see my girl miserable. So I gladly accept. Let me go get Catty.”

Lucien jogged across the street to the pawn shop.

“I’ll drive.” Walter held out his hand for her key.

“But what about your car?” She glanced around the parking lot. She hadn’t seen him get out of a car and wondered where he had parked.

“It’s parked a few blocks down. Couldn’t find a parking spot here.” He shrugged and gave her another smile. “After the movie we’ll come back and get it.”

“Okay, but I’ll drive us to the movies. No offense, but I don’t let many people drive my car.” She turned and watched Lucien and Catty hurry across the street. She liked how Lucien took off his leather jacket and held it over Catty’s head trying to keep her dry. Her boys might be big, scary wolves, but at least they were chivalrous with their females.

“Thanks, Granny. We appreciate the ride.” Catty gave her a quick hug and cut her eyes at her date.

“Catty, this is Walter.” Granny waved her hand in his direction.

“Nice to meet you, Walter.” Catty nodded and snuggled against Lucien in the rain. “I guess we are intruding on your date.”“Y-you’re on a date?” Lucien curled his lip in apparent disgust.

“Lucien.” Granny gave him a warning look that could peel flesh off bone.

“We really should get going.” Walter hurried to the passenger’s side and waited for her to unlock the door.

“Right. We don’t want to be late.” She stuck her key in the door and unlocked the car. She hit the unlock button and the rest of their party piled inside.

“Smells like a bunch of wet dogs in here.” She started the car and waved her hand in front of her nose.

“Granny.” She didn’t miss the warning in Lucien’s voice.

  She laughed.

“It’s okay, Walter is a Were too.” She reached over and patted him on the arm.

  He jumped at the contact.

She frowned. Maybe he had low blood sugar. A pickle at the movie would fix him right up. And maybe some Sugar Babies.

“He might not be a Guardian like you, but I’m sure he has a good life working as …” She pulled out of the parking lot and cut her eyes at him. “What did you say you did again?”

“Sales. I’m in sales.” He slumped down in the seat and pulled his jacket up around his ears.

Must be cold, she thought. Weird. Usually, werewolves ran a few degrees hotter than humans. Maybe it was because of his low blood sugar. Or maybe he was older than he looked. Who was she to judge? She wasn’t exactly a spring pup.

She turned the heat on and fiddled with the vents until they were aimed at Robert.

  He didn’t move.

“So did you guys eat dinner already?” Catty said from the backseat.

“Ah, we didn’t get the chance. Didn’t want to miss the movie,” Walter said quickly.

Granny relaxed and smiled. He had lied for her. She appreciated that.

“We are going to fill up on popcorn and some candy. It’s been a while since I indulged like that,” she said. The last time she went to the movies it was a matinee. She just couldn’t stand the idea of paying ten dollars for a ticket when she could go early and pay half that amount.

But tonight was different. Tonight was special.

  CHAPTER SEVEN

Robert had been trying to be cool since he got in the car. He itched to grab the door handle and jump out of the car. But he knew Granny would stop the car and Lucien would come after him. There was no way he could outrun the Guardian. He wasn’t sure how much longer he was going to last. He needed to get away soon.

Two hot females in one night and he was stuck with the old bird.

“I’ll let everyone out while I park.” Granny pulled up to the front of the movies and looked over her shoulder.

“Thanks, Granny.” Lucien opened the door, slid out and then helped Catty out. He stuck his head back inside. “Want us to save you two some seats?”

“No,” Robert said a little too quickly. Granny looked at him and frowned. He forced a smile and looked at her. “I’m sure we both want to spend tonight with our beautiful ladies. Alone.”

A blush spread across Granny’s face and he knew the old bat had bought his charming words.

“Okay, well, you guys have fun.” Lucien shut the door and Granny pulled away from the curb.

“That was very sweet. What you said.” Granny cut her eyes at him and pulled into a parking spot.

“I’ve got an idea.” He glanced outside the window. People were hurrying into the safety of the movies away from the rain.

He had nearly shit himself when Granny had said Lucien was a Guardian. But it made sense with his large build and muscles. Judging from the looks of the big Were in the restaurant, she knew a lot of Guardians.

He needed to get the fuck out of Arkansas and do it fast while the Guardians were distracted by taking out their females on Valentine’s Day. He just needed a car.

  He needed her car.

“An idea?” Granny killed the engine and looked at him. Her hair was starting to frizz from the rain making her look a bit like the Bride of Frankenstein.

“How about we skip the movie and just spend some time alone. Maybe my place?” He knew her well enough to know there was no way this old bat was going to go to his place. If he put on the charm then she’d dump him back at the parking lot. Where he’d overpower her and take her car.

“Your place?” Her eyes widened and she tightened her hands on the wheel in a death grip. She stared straight ahead, her breathing growing faster with each breath.

“Yeah. I figure we can go and have some privacy. You know, to get to know each other…better.” He smiled and ran a finger along her arm.

  She gasped.

He had her where he wanted her. He saw that horrified look on her face. The look of a woman that refused to do anything wrong.

“Put your seat belt on,” she barked out.

  “What…”

She twisted the key and the engine roared to life. She tore out of the parking lot and onto the street before he could finish his sentence.

She took the corner so tight that he slid against the door before he could get his seat belt fastened.

He scrambled and clicked his seat belt into place before he got thrown out the passenger’s door.

From the illumination of the streetlights he could tell her lips were pressed into a firm line, her old eyes filled with determination.

She looked pissed and put out at his request. He stifled a grin. His plan was working.

He expected to get quite the talking down to when she dropped him off at the restaurant.

But he had other plans. He would overpower her and toss her scrawny ass in the trunk. Then take the car and get the hell out of Little Rock. He would be in Missouri before the sun rose.

She turned left and headed out of town. He frowned and turned to look out the back window. The streetlights were quickly fading as the car tore down the street.

“We’re headed out of town.” He glared at her.

“We’re not going back to town.” She gave a firm shake of her head and glanced at him before looking back at the road.

“Where are we going?” He curled his fingers into fists. Was she on to him? Did she know who he was? Was she going to turn him in to the Pack Master of Arkansas?

She glanced at him and smiled. “We’re going to my house.”

  ***

Granny’s stomach tingled and she avoided eye contact with Walter.

Not once in all her years on this earth had she ever brought a strange male back to her house. Not once.

There had been many lonely nights, many times where she’d longed for the company of another or just wanted to be held. She figured she’d already had John,
the love of her life for thirty years, and shouldn’t be feeling sorry for herself. She should be grateful for the time they had together. And she was.

Now, on Valentine’s Day, looking at all those couples in the restaurant and the parking lot full of people in love going to catch a movie, she figured she deserved a little something too.

She cut her eyes at him.

He wasn’t good looking, but not bad looking either. He had hard eyes that had probably seen a lot of hurt in the world and it had somehow etched that pain into his expression. She noticed he had a habit of tapping his fingers along his thigh when things got uncomfortable. Like when Damon was about to come over to the table in the restaurant. Or when they were giving Lucien and Catty a ride.

Maybe he was more of a loner. That would make sense. He seemed good one on one with people but seemed tense with a group.

She couldn’t fault him for that.

She took a deep breath as she turned down the street. She was almost home. She expected to feel a bit of regret over her rash decision. But oddly enough that feeling never emerged.

Maybe it was the way he’d escorted her into the restaurant or how he’d given her his full attention when they were talking. Maybe it was just how his offer of “getting to know her better” made her feel like a woman instead of someone’s grandmother.

Tonight she was throwing all the rules out the window and she was going to take charge of her life.

And there were no Guardians around to stop her.

  CHAPTER EIGHT

“Have you ever heard Granny talk about a boyfriend?” Lucien leaned over and whispered near Catty’s ear. The movie had just started, one that she’d wanted to see, but something about the man with Granny had his instincts on high alert.

“No.” She kept her attention on the screen and leaned closer. “I think it’s sweet she’s on a date.”

“I wonder if I should say something to Jayden.” If it were his grandmother he’d want to know what was going on.

She turned and even in the dark he could see the smirk written on her face. “You really want to have that conversation with Jayden? About Granny getting some action?”
