He plowed his own fingers through her hair at the nape of her neck and held her still while he inhaled her scent, leaning down to nibble at her mouth and settle his lips softly on hers. He hesitated.
“What is it, champ?” she whispered.
He shook his head, seeming to need a moment to form his thoughts.
Another moment passed and he finally spoke.
“On Wednesday.”
She nodded, encouraging him to continue.
“I don’t want to lose you,” he finally whispered.
She swallowed down the lump in her throat. “I don’t want to lose you either.” She swallowed again. “I want you. More than any human being in this world, Jon. So much that it scares me at times.”
He nodded. “I know the feeling. I love you, Yan.” His hands were massaging the base of her neck sifting through her hair. “I want you so much,” he whispered, then leaned down and kissed her.
As if a match had been lit, the two of them immediately held on to each other, desperately needing to express that desire which they had banked since the fire. She began tearing at his belt buckle and undoing his pants while he consumed her mouth with his lips and tongue.
He stepped away for a moment to let his pants drop, and he flipped off his shoes and socks. Then he wrapped his arms around her, pressing their bodies close until they felt like they were melded together.
“I need you now, Yanna. Now.” He backed her up gently toward the bed and she fell onto it. Within a split second he was on her, settling between her legs and letting out a groan. “You really did look like a goddess tonight. All I’ve been thinking about since you walked out of your bedroom is how crazy I was going to feel all night thinking about getting inside you. Claim you. I need to make you mine.”
“I am yours.” Their hands were roaming all over. He plucked her nipple and she pulled her knees back preparing for him. “I want to make you mine, too.” She was reaching her hand in between them grabbing for him.
He needed no more encouragement. Teasing her opening with his cock, he slowly penetrated her, pushing himself deep inside. She let out a contented sigh.
“God. I feel so complete when you’re inside me.”
He pulled out then sunk back into the root, putting his hand on her knee pushing it back even further. Ayanna made a sound.
He continued his movements and looked down into her eyes. “I’m yours.”
“I’m yours,” she repeated back to him.
“Say you’ll stick this out with me. That you want this with every fiber of your being. Say you want this.”
“I do,” she moaned. “Say you’ll stick it out with me when I make mistakes, Jon. I want to know it’s worth it to you.”
He increased his movements. “It is worth it, Yan. No matter how many times we mess up. It’s worth it. You’re worth it. This is worth everything to me,” he ground out. “You mean everything to me.”
Tears were spilling from her eyes. “I was so scared I wouldn’t see you again,” she held his face in her hands.
“I’m here, baby. I’m here,” he promised with such love in his eyes, moving his hands under her, and pushing his knees further underneath, lifting her closer to him so he could take her farther. “Can you feel this? Can you feel how much I love you?”
“Yes.” She cried out when he hit her sweet spot. The angle caused an intense wave of pleasure to hit her full force. “I love you, Jon. I love you…”
“Come with me.”
He took her there, rocking into her, touching the depths of her body and ultimately the depths of her soul. This man who waited, who applauded her successes, her hard work. This man who respected her and loved her so perfectly. There was no one in this world she would rather be with than him.
As he took her to the peak of fulfillment, she pulled him in close for a kiss, feeling the wonder of their love, the hope of new life, the joy of forgiveness…
And ultimately the peace of redemption.

When this new writing venture became a reality, we discovered that our team of “Rebecca Lynn” extended much farther than the two of us. Our Beta Readers are indispensable; brutally honest, gracious, and encouraging. Many thanks to Doreen, Kristi, Jennifer, Elisha and Stephanie for catching our grammar mistakes and offering thoughts on plot and character development. We are eternally grateful for your feedback.
And where would be without our fans?! Thank you for all of your reviews, Facebook comments, recommendations to friends, and overall support. And rest assured: Not only has RELEASE been updated without the word ‘pause’, we venture to say you will only find it 82 times in REDEMPTION!
We learned a tremendous amount from the many self-defense videos posted on YouTube. We’d especially like to thank “Dr. Ruthless”, Debi Steven of Premier Self Defense, and the countless postings from the various Krav Maga sites that can be found on the internet.
Finally, we would be incomplete without our home base and the love of our husbands. They are often times our first sounding board and help to give us perspective when we’re in the midst of this crazy journey. Thanks for speaking truth when we need to hear it, lending a shoulder when it’s necessary, and loving us when we have our meltdowns. You two truly are the best.
