This time when he began to pull out, it felt like her body was moving with him, even though she was tied down in place; an inevitable motion, the way she felt when she was standing on sand and the ocean’s waves began to pull away from her, except it was her whole body and it was so much more intense. He thrust back in and she cried out as if the insertion of his cock forced the air from her lungs, whereas a moment before she’d barely been able to draw breath.

Sensation assaulted her as the vibrator kicked up another notch and Dane began a slow, steady rhythm of invasion.

The tight heat of Fawn’s body was killing him with pleasure. Dane’s tightly wound control was chafing at the bit, but he refused to let loose as he slowly pumped in and out of her deflowered ass. His hands gripped her cheeks, holding them apart so he could enjoy the view of his slick cock slowly disappearing into the stretched orifice. Fawn shuddered and moaned with every thrust, her small cries filling his ears and making his cock even harder.

Dane turned the knob on the butterfly vibrator up another degree, and felt her reaction as her entire body shuddered and her ass clenched down around him. Gritting his teeth, he forced himself to continue moving gently but firmly as his ease of entrance slowly began to increase.

“Oh… oh, please,” she started to beg, her hips bucking slightly, as much as they could, against the padded horse. “Master D, please… harder…”

Never one to deny his lady, Dane began to move a little faster and harder, and he heard the sob rise in her voice. She tended to revert back to calling him Master D when she was feeling particularly submissive to him, and it always turned him on. He slid his hands on her body, curling them slightly against the side of her hips.

She was gasping and crying out, but mostly in pleasure as he continued to pick up his pace, taking her harder and faster. Now that she was stretched open, she took each thrust easily, her body shuddering with the reaction as her muscles played over his shaft, trying to grip and hold him in place. Dane recognized the sounds she made as her own orgasm began to draw nearer, even before she began to beg again.

  “Master D… oh, please… I need to come…”

All he had to do was flick the vibrator up another notch, or fuck her ass a little harder, and she’d be off like a rocket.

Instead, he slowed his thrusts. “Fawn, kitten? Will you marry me?”

“What?” Her voice was utterly confused, her tone ragged with a needy sob.

“Say yes, and I’ll let you come.”

“Oh, Master D, oh! Yes! Okay? Yes!”

He flicked the butterfly to high, tossing the remote to the floor so he could fully grip her hips as he pounded into her from behind, unleashing every bit of joy and passion and love that he had for her into his final claiming.

Fawn’s brain fuzzed out like radio static as the intense ecstasy blew through her. She was flying high as euphoric pain and agonizing pleasure combined in a chaotic burst of sensation that besieged her senses, taking no prisoners. Distantly she heard herself sobbing, heard Dane’s loud cry as he rammed into her, felt the pulse of his cock as each surge pressed against the walls of her body before spurting inside her.

Her orgasm didn’t stop until he’d pulled himself free and finally turned off the vibrator over her clit, leaving her feeling limp and swollen.

Gently he freed her from the restraints, his mouth soothing her nipples when he removed the clamps. Fawn was aware but not truly present as he bundled her into the bathroom and began to fill the large tub that he’d had installed after she’d moved in. It easily fit both of them, a feature which Dane often used during aftercare.

They were basking in the hot water, her on his lap with his arms around her, when she felt him slide something onto her finger. Opening her eyes, she lifted her hand so she could see it from where her head was nestled into his shoulder.

An emerald, her favorite stone, surrounded by a circle of small diamonds sparkled back at her from her ring finger. Her memory kicked in along with her awareness.

“You jerk!” She smacked his chest with her left hand, unable to take her eyes away from the ring even as she berated him. “That wasn’t a proper proposal! What the hell am I supposed to tell people when they ask how you proposed?”

His body shook with laughter. “We can go out for a celebration dinner tonight and you can tell them that I proposed at dinner. Besides, you have to admit my way was more us.”

Too true. Fawn wanted to feel disgruntled, but she felt too light and happy to be upset. He was a sneaky bastard when he wanted to be, but she loved him with all her heart.

“You were just afraid I’d say no,” she grumbled, and felt the rumble of his chuckle again.

Lips pressed against her hair as she lifted her hand to admire the ring. “I love you, kitten.”

“I love you, too, Master D.”

  Prologue

“Mario! Get your ass in here.”

Flint Turner obeyed the summons, unflinchingly answering to someone else’s name. For the last two years, he’d been Mario Ricci, and the man he’d been was a distant memory.

Hell, even his HSA handler called him Mario. He would be someone else when he managed to get the evidence he needed to bring down the weapons cartel serving a Mexican drug lord. He had enough on Carmen Massino to put him away forever, but he had to wait until he could cut off the supply of weapons.

Carmen was getting those guns from somewhere and he was almost positive it wasn’t domestic. Flint knew the trade would continue even if Carmen was gone. He didn’t have a choice but to let Carmen continue on his bloodthirsty path. Worse, he’d found evidence of human trafficking along with the weapons. In exchange for women and guns, the drug lord sent back cocaine and heroin.

“What’s up, boss?” Flint cocked a hip against the doorframe, his expression bland as he ignored the blonde crawling out from under the desk. A trickle of blood dripped from her nose and he sighed inwardly as Carmen slapped her ass, making her scurry from the office.

Carmen’s toys never lasted long. They either got eaten up by drugs, or Carmen made them disappear. Flint had managed to save one, though. Little Holly Dansen, with her pretty mismatched eyes and legs that went on forever, at least she was safe from Carmen—wherever she was.

Grinning maliciously, Carmen said, “I found Grace Barnes.”

“Where is she?” Flint cracked his knuckles and straightened. “I’ll be on the first flight out to take care of her.”

And by take care of he meant impressing upon Ms. Barnes the importance of crawling into a cave somewhere in Tibet until Carmen was neutralized. Hopefully, Carmen wouldn’t demand proof, but he supposed he could find a woman resembling her in a morgue somewhere.

Carmen coughed out a laugh and lit a black cigarette. “My, aren’t we gung ho?” He took a drag and blew smoke in Flint’s direction.

Resisting the urge to stub the filthy thing out between Carmen’s eyes, he sai
d, “That’s what you pay me for, isn’t it? Taking care of problems, right?”

“Yeah, whatever.” Carmen didn’t speak again until he’d finished his cigarette. “Pour us a drink and have a seat. I have a proposition for you.”

Flint did as he was asked, but wanted to cringe. When Carmen got that glint in his eye, things were going to get bad in a hurry. And nobody ever refused Carmen’s wishes. The few who had done so always regretted it.

Carmen leaned back in his chair, sipping his scotch. “We’re going to Ohio.”

  “Is that where Grace is?”

“Yeah.” Carmen snickered, his soulless eyes glittering. “She’s at some kinky resort called the Castle. Sounds like a giant sex club with whips and chains.”

Careful to keep his expression neutral, Flint asked, “What’s she doing there? Seems a strange place to hide for a blind chick.”

“Who cares? A real man just needs his fists to keep a bitch in line. Hell, some ugly asshole might have taken her for a chance to bang a hot girl.” Carmen tossed his drink back. “There will be hundreds of kinky fuckers getting their rocks off. We’ll be able to mingle, maybe get laid, too. The place provides partners, so we don’t even need to bring girls. We’ll take out Grace and be home before supper.”

Flint was smart enough to keep his opinion about real men to himself and said nothing.

Tossing a sheet of paper with a web address scribbled on it across the desk, Carmen added, “Get registered for next weekend and book us a flight to Toledo. Consider it a vacation.”

Most of the weekend guests had already departed on the Sunday bus back to Granger, leaving Holly bored to tears. She swiped her feather duster at a statue of a naked man with a disproportionate penis, paying special attention to the head of his cock as scents from Maybe’s Candies wafted through the room. Her mouth watered at the smell of rich chocolate. She could take a few minutes during her next break and snag a cake pop. The name of the candy shop fit. It was always ‘maybe I shouldn’t, but I know I will’ for Holly.

Taking one last swipe at the statue, she looked outside and narrowed her eyes.

Her curiosity getting the better of her, she moved closer and pretended to dust a potted plant as she directed her surreptitious gaze out the window. She knew she should mind her own business. She still had stripes across her ass from the last time Master Grimsley had caught her hanging out around Master Marshall’s office. She thought he’d just phoned it in, though. He’d already figured out there weren’t enough switches in Ohio to break her habit of eavesdropping.

Eavesdropping had saved her life once upon a time, back when the princess was captured by a dragon she was too stupid to see. It took physical effort to lock those memories back in their mental box. She shivered despite the warm temperature and firmly turned her attention back to the matter at hand.

Master Marshall got out of one of the resort vehicles and helped a woman from the back seat as Master Nelson trotted around the front of the black SUV. They nestled her between them as they walked her inside.

The woman’s face was concealed by a broad brimmed sun hat. She kept her head down, further disguising her appearance. Who was she? And why did Master Nelson and Master Marshall look so angry? Holly wasn’t worried for the woman. Masters Nelson and Marshall would never punish a submissive while they were angry, but she was sure their anger had something to do with the tiny figure taking careful steps across the driveway.

“The lines across your ass haven’t faded from the last time I caught you poking your nose into things that don’t concern you, Holly.”

She winced as Master Grimsley’s heavy hand clasped her shoulder and turned her to face him. “I…” His hand tightened and she shrank under his glare. Of course, everyone shrank before the Master Butler. Tall and dark-haired, slender but strong, his eyes were almost as piercing as Master Marshall’s, except they were brown and every bit as hard as the Castle walls.

“Spare me the excuses. You know better. We take our guests’ privacy very seriously, yet you seem determined to cross those boundaries at every opportunity.”

  “But I never gossip! I wouldn’t—”

“Whether you gossip or not is irrelevant.” Master Grimsley clenched his teeth, his jaw tightening. “Not spreading tales is the only reason you still have a job here. If we thought for a moment that you’d share gossip, we’d have fired you months ago. That sort of thing could ruin the entirety of the Little Maid program, not to mention the reputation of the Castle itself.”

Holly lowered her head, trying to stop the tears welling in her eyes. Losing her job was something she hadn’t considered, but more than that, she hadn’t realized the extent of the rest of the damage. The Castle was her safety. The dragon wouldn’t come here; not with so many princes. Finding another job would be easy, her chemistry degree would see to that, but leaving this place wasn’t an option.

  “Yes, Master Grimsley.”

His eyebrows drew together in a scowl. “Why are you always spying, Holly? Is there some problem I should be aware of?”

“No, sir. I just…” She shook her head and hunched her shoulders in misery. There was no way she could tell him what she knew. He’d tell Master Marshall and she’d be out of the Castle so fast, she’d leave a dust trail. Master Marshall wouldn’t take a chance on the dragon coming here. Not for an easily replaced Little Maid.

His fingers were gentle against her skin as he tipped her chin up to make her look at him. “It has to stop, Holly. You have to stop spying. If one of the guests catches you, it will have long-reaching consequences. I won’t be able to keep Master Marshall from firing you.” His voice dropped in low warning. “Do you understand?”

Holly dropped her eyes to avoid his worried gaze. “Yes, Master Grimsley.” She had to choke the words past the lump in her throat, suddenly ashamed of herself. He’d given her so many chances already, but she didn’t know if she could stop. It was too important to know who was in her space.

“Good girl. One demerit for lollygagging, two for spying. I expect you to take care of it tomorrow.” He turned her around gently and slapped her ass. “Behave yourself and get back to work.”

Holly scurried away, her feather duster clenched tight in one fist. She would try to obey, at least for now.

  Chapter 1

The expanse of Lake Erie stretched out ahead of their plane as they approached the airport. The port city of Toledo was a dark blight on the western shore, its rust belt heritage evident from the smokestacks spewing polluted steam into the air. Barges and container ships crossed the open water, competing for space with small pleasure craft.

In the seat next to him, Carmen tapped a nervous hand on the armrest of the first-class seat as the pilot announced their approach. Flint wanted to laugh. His unwanted companion was a nervous flier. A flight attendant walked by, collecting trash in preparation for landing.

“Hey, sweet thing, bring me another bourbon before we land.” Carmen scratched at the beard he’d grown to disguise his appearance.

The woman’s eyes tightened, but she smiled. “I’m very sorry, Mr. Colombo. We’ll be landing in about fifteen minutes, and FAA regulations—”

Beads of sweat bloomed on Carmen’s forehead and he swiped at them with a shaking hand before turning a murderous glare on the beleaguered woman. “I don’t give a fuck. Bring me a goddamned drink!”

Flint interrupted the brewing fight. While he wouldn’t mind watching Carmen deal with airport security, they didn’t have time. Leaning over to whisper in Carmen’s ear, he said, “Boss, if you get arrested when we land, we won’t be able to do what we came to do. There’s going to be a bar in the airport.”

Carmen slumped against his seat and growled. “Fine. Whatever.” His fingers dug into the leather armrest as the flight attendant made her escape. “Fucking hate flying.”

Flint spent the entire approach and landing in a state of bliss. Entertainment at Carmen’s expense was a rare and heady thing, and he savored every seco
nd of Carmen’s distress. If he had his way once Carmen was incarcerated, he’d stuff the slimeball into a coach seat, chain him to the armrests, and let him fly to New Zealand and back for the rest of his life.

Too bad it would be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

To Carmen’s sweating relief and Flint’s disappointment, the pilot touched down smooth as silk. Flint didn’t say a word when Carmen downed several double shots in the closest bar. Maybe he’d sleep for the drive. They’d have plenty of time to make the bus to the resort.

As they approached the rental, a man Flint didn’t know crept between adjacent vehicles, his head bent low to disguise his face. Carmen hurried toward him and accepted a small black duffel bag. Carmen handed him some money and the man disappeared as silently as he’d come.

  “Who was that?”

Giving him an evil grin, Carmen said, “Just an acquaintance delivering a few gifts that would have been awkward to travel with.”

Well, shit. Flint had hoped Carmen would have a more elegant solution for Grace, or at least something he might be able to counter. But no, Carmen had to make things difficult, as usual. At least it would be quick. Carmen wouldn’t waste time torturing her. And if Grace Barnes was guarded well enough, maybe it would give him some time to figure out a way to protect her without blowing his cover.

He made a note to give the delivery boy’s description to his handler with his next report. “I’ll load our bags.”

“All but this one. I’m going to give you a present once we’re in the car.”
